Pros: We didn't want to force an applicant to have to spend time keying in information in order to submit their resume. ApplicantStack allowed us to set up so that they give us 8 candidate field data points and then can upload a resume and they have applied. Three minutes or less and they are in our queue. We love it. Applicants love it.

Cons: Reporting is hard to master in terms of building and designing a report. Are you filtering or grouping etc? Luckily, I find AppStack's technical team was great about looking at what I built and then correcting me where I was wrong.

Overall: Speed. From start to finish we were configured and up and running in 1 week.

Pros: affordable, distributes position to multiple job boards, does the basic of what's needed, easy to use

Cons: reports are not easy to make, no dashboards, the UI of the product is lacking, difficult contacting customer service, job listing page lacks personality in comparison to other ATS

Comments: We reviewed Applicant Stack and considered taking advantage if the free trial but decided its simplicity of features, functionality and process was too simple for our needs. If you simply need a database and have time to personally configure/customize the process or willing to pay a $300 service fee for set-up support. It appears the software is due for an upgrade, appearing clunky and a generic, dull, unvarnished candidate appearance (jobs listing and career page).

Pros: It is very easy to use.

Cons: I do not have the ability to search for a job like I do a candidate. For our system, we have hundreds of jobs and I just have to go page by page since it is limited to view only 100 per page until I find the right one.

Overall: The system configuration really needs to be done by someone with experience. For people with experience in HRIS, the system is extremely easy to use. For customer service, I typically have to email or leave a message. I don't typically get a live agent. However, they respond within 24 hours. The system does not have the latest greatest when it comes to technology- IE no system integration with HRIS, no mapping of candidates, no integration with google suite (calendar), no map abilities. They are starting to incorporate onboarding abilities (new hire paperwork, forms, etc) into their product which I have not yet explored. The number of users (hiring managers) is limited by how much you pay so as your company grows you will need to pay more and more per month to allow more hiring managers in the system.

Recommendations to other buyers: This is really easy to use and makes it easy to launch a job. We get a lot of candidate responses and the set up is very easy once you have it going.

Pros: Open API simple to use. Don't need to be a pro to use this. I thought myself in a hour how to maneuver the entire tracking....from posting to recruiting to Onboarding.

Cons: Waiting for their mobile app...I hope they will keep it simple.

Overall: The best open API ever in hiring space. Onboard is just as easy...even old school recruiter can maneuver.

Recommendations to other buyers: Get the mobile apps fast, can't wait

Comments: Our company loves ApplicantStack. It has revolutionized our recruitment processes overnight ¿ AND we are saving tremendous amounts of money with the advertisement outreach.

2 quick successes to share with respect to our use of ApplicantStack:
1.) A clerical position: we received 134 resumes in four days ¿ and now we can easily go through this funnel of candidates, identify the top 15 candidates, and share with hiring manager. This would have taken weeks previously.
2.) Adjunct faculty position: we posted several adjunct positions last week. Since then, we have received 30+ resumes from Indeed and SimplyHired ¿ and the candidate pool is diverse and extremely well-qualified. The hiring manager is thrilled and can now focus on her qualified pool of candidates and begin conducting phone interviews. She also said that this is the best candidate tracking she has seen before.

For both positions, our company has saved so much money in advertisements alone ¿ to say nothing of the time saved in working through the candidates so quickly.

These are just 2 examples, I could go on and on.

Comments: I work in a K-12 school in New York City in the HR department. Our school is spread across 3 buildings and has over 200 employees.

Applicantstack pros: simple teach to hiring managers; no more missing resumes; notes are shared, and we can do so taks at the click of a button.

The library is fantastic; we keep job descriptions, email templates in one spot. We are very organized.
Recruiters are using the system to input candidates.

So happy we have this amazing tool!

The customer service is super; I get immediate responses to any question. They help me learn new features, figure out when I have a setting wrong-just the best customer service.

Comments: We have been using Applicant Stack to manage our hiring process for about 6 months now and it has helped us turn a chaotic mess into a streamlined, organized, efficient process that is easy to manage. The integration with major job boards is a huge help and the service we have received has been top notch. Comments: Truly, the ApplicantStack Team has been beyond fantastic, the tool itself is simple to use, extremely effective and priced at a point that attracts companies of all sizes and the website integration just takes the cake. Comments: I researched a number of applicant tracking platforms about two years ago. We were a start up who was looking for something that could keep up with our rapid growth, yet wasn't going to break the bank.

Applicant Stack has done 90% of what we needed for a fraction of the cost. Their customer service is second to none. I would highly recommend purchasing Applicant Stack if you're currently trying to do without a formal system or are spending far too much on a platform that has capabilities that just aren't necessary for companies under 500 employees.

Pros: Works great for our needs. In a couple instances I find myself wishing for greater flexibility, but we're using AppStack for something other than it's intended purpose, so I really can't complain. It's easy to set up and easy to use, which is what we needed.

Cons: Not quite as flexible/customizable as we'd like, but we understand the limitations. Not a dealbreaker by any means.

Pros: This system is very effective and efficient. We are a Federal Contractor so first priority was capturing EEO/AA info for all applicants. This system does this and also provides ongoing, updated reports with a simple click.

I no longer have to spend hours going through resumes that are unsolicited or incomplete. Applicants can only apply for open positions online and I am now able to add and score position specific questions which saves time spent screening.
I think the most surprising aspect of ApplicantStack is the prompt service provided when issues arise, which has been limited.

Cons: No Cons at this point.

Overall: Very efficient and cost effective. My highest recommendation.

Pros: I have just begun using Applicant Stack and am exploring the extent of its capabilities. I am very excited about how much Applicant Stack simplifies our hiring process. Any time I have a question or want another feature, the support team gets back to me within 24 hours. I have learned several tricks to doing what I want. When I request a new feature, the support team is on it quickly and finds a way to make it happen. I am very happy with this system, the support, and the responsiveness of your team.

Cons: Any con I can think of is something I have already asked about and the support team is working on finding a fix for it.

Overall: This product is so simple to use, customer service is phenomenal, and the knowledge base is very in-depth. Thank you guys!

Pros: The configuration of the entire program is very user-friendly. I've never used any sort of applicant tracking system before, yet could easily navigate ApplicantStack. And the Support Portal has everything one could ever need! Even so, if a question is too organization- or job-specific to be included in the portal, Faith Bliga is prompt and thorough in her responses to inquiries.

Cons: The cost is high. Compared to sites like theresumator.com, ApplicantStack doesn't offer a price reduction if you only need to post a few jobs. You must pay for unlimited postings regardless.

Overall: Overall, the pipeline feature is something my higher-ups love, so that they can peek in whenever they like and have all the information neatly summarized for them. The questionnaire creation process is better than I've seen with other hiring systems, but worse than the survey sites we as an organization are used to. Basically, what you see in the free trial is what you get in the paid version, so if you like it, buy it!

Pros: By far the best part is the customer support, actually. I feel as if I'm their only customer. :) Everyone gets back to me quickly, and with the answers I need. As for the software itself, I'm thrilled with using it so far. I love how customizable it is!

Cons: Very few cons. Some of the bugs I've run across have been worked out very nicely. Most of them are user error. :)

Overall: Overall I would highly recommend this software package. I'm learning more and more about its capabilities as I use it. Thank you to everyone who has put the time and effort into designing and creating it. Wonderful!!

Pros: Product was up an running immediately, product support extremely helpful and responsive, easily tracks beginning to end on applicants, system is constantly being upgraded with new features and improvements, customization ability, workflow and history captured perfectly, and searching capability is powerful.

Customer service has been able to suggest a solution for everything we've thrown at them.

Cons: While the product was easy to learn to use, it was a little confusing at first to decide our company's best practice. This was mainly from not having a system in place prior to the purchase of this one. After an additional demo with the owner and explanations of how certain features and functionality might help our company there are no complaints.

Overall: I would highly recommend this product to small or mid-sized companies without blinking. The cost is unbeatable for the service and product you receive. Highly recommend a demo or trying out the site yourself.

* Customization of work-flow
* Triggered/automatic emails for each stage in process (saves time and ensures consistent communication)
* HR team and owners can easily have unique access to view applicant information, leave private notes, etc.
* Applicants are carefully led through a customizable and pre-defined work flow from "new" applicant to "hired" or "no job offered"...allows quick glance to see what needs to happen next with each applicant.
* All communication between applicant and company is kept in central user information section.
* Immediately recognizes and warns company of duplicate applications

Cons: In the ideal world would like option to have different work flows and different triggered emails depending on which opening is applied for.

Overall: We evaluated several Applicant Tracking Systems and unanimously voted on Applicant Stack. The ease of setup combined with the options to personalize the work flow and user experience were key factors behind our decision.

We highly recommend you do the free trial, which may well lead you to a quick purchase!

2) Cost efficient and user friendly.

3) Like having the ability to separately review candidates for each specific job instead of having to sort them manually.

4) Automatically maintains Applicant Log versus us having to manually enter.

Cons: 1) Reporting feature - haven't had a lot of time to focus on the reporting, but at first glance may not have everything we need.

Overall: So far we are very pleased with the system's capabilities. It is also user friendly and cost efficient. Could probably have more comments after we have had a little longer time to utilize all it's capabilities.

Pros: We've been very impressed with everything about the product. Its extremely easy to use with well thought out features. The import resume function blew us away. The system captures data from word documents or pdfs and self populates data fields. While its not 100% accurate, it is a significant time save over typiing in the information.

Pros: 1. cloud-based so it's super-easy to get started without infrastructure investment.
2. very inexpensive - less than $40.00/month for one user.
3. flexible and customizable - we were able to tailor the workflows to match our internal processes.
4. brandable - inexpensive to brand our job board to match the look-feel of our website.
5. prompt and professional support - they resolved our issues in a very timely manner.

Cons: None - we have been very impressed with the product and would highly recommend it to any small/medium business that needs a fast/flexible/inexpensive solution to tracking job openings and processing applicants.

Overall: If your company needs a solution to paper applications and a system that will enable you to efficiently manage applicants to your job postings, this is a super-easy, inexpensive solution for businesses of any size.

Pros: Once you understand the program and know how to use it, it is very easy and provides all the information that you need.

Cons: At first learning how to use the program and changing some settings was difficult. There is no user's guide, so you have play with the system, and finding the correct location to make any changes is hit and miss.
The formate in which the admin user views the applicant I do not like. It shows the application as question and answer, I would rather the application look as it appears to the applicant.

Overall: Overall, I really like Application Stack and would absolutly recommend it to anyone that does not currently have an online application process. It has made my job so much more easier.

Pros: It is simple enough where it is not too complicated for employees to learn and navigate through. Fits out needs and Nathan did a great job with the demo and assistance since purchased software. Also, the pricing is unbeatable!

Cons: Would like something set up to sort out duplicate candidates - actually having a conference call with Nathan today regarding this..

Overall: I highly recommend this software. The demo is clear and easy to understand and once implemented very user friendly. I greatly appreciate the constant support that I am given. This software has saved me so much time and helped immensely with organization of jobs and candidates.

Pros: Applicantstack was much more cost effective than hiring a recruitment firm of using an online recruiting site. It allows for sufficient flexibility to guarantee the same results.

Cons: I wish if it offered more control over the job board where I could change the welcome message at will or set-up actual departments on the job board.

Overall: I would recommend this product to small to medium companies who have constant recruitment needs.

Pros: The application is perfect and they set it up exactly the way it was designed. On the questionnaire you are able to score applicants according to qualifications and certain questions you mark for scoring.

Cons: Application - cannot view all # of applications by scrolling through pages where they are listed. Example - out of 462 applications we received, it will only let me view 221 of those according to stage. Still haven't figured out how to view all regardless of the stage.
Questionnaire - The scoring/rating section is not easily obtainable, still have to search on how to rate my questions and when you make any changes to a questionnaire they will not take because they are linked to previous applications. So at that time you have to recreate new questionnaire with changes and attach to job and make sure you delete the other or unattach the other questionnaire. Kind of a pain when you are in a hurry.

Overall: Actually have a scoring/rating icon in the box next to the questionnaire where you have the delete, edit, clone, etc. icons so it is just a click of that icon and go straight to the scoring of that questionnaire.

Pros: Product set up was taken care of by ApplicantStack and was painless. They created my template quickly and were amenable to make some changes I requested. Customer service is excellent. Not only did they take care of problems quickly they actually modified a couple features based on feedback.

The default workflow is set up in a logical fashion which really helped as we weren't sure what the best process would be. The automation features are useful and a real time saver. The reports and ability to add custom fields to the back and front end allow customization.

The ability to build reusable questionnaires, email and job listing templates is great. The recently added layout templates add so good additional functionality for more advanced formatting of the front end.

The application also generates job specific links and email addresses so that you can post them in other forums.

There is more but I didn't intend to make this a feature list. Good, easy to use solution.

Cons: I would like to see the question page layout feature continue to evolve to include some type of editor - not really a 'con' as this is brand new functionality.

I think the questionnaire needs some 'label' and 'image' components so you can add additional instructions to your app.

A multipage form option would also be useful. We have a multipage job application which would mean lots of scrolling down. We opted to use a smaller initial form and just send the full application to those who pass a certain point in the hiring process but it would be nice to have all our legal mumbo jumbo in there.

There are a few areas where I'd like more control - perhaps adding header and footer areas where you can customize the content.

These are more 'features that I'd like added' than cons.

Overall: Overall recommendation is 9.5 out of 10. The product does the job. It has good core features. Customer service is superb. If you need a job board and can't have custom programming done, or don't want to buy a big, bloated or overly complex system that you'll have to install and maintain then I think this is a great choice. We've had it online for about two weeks now. We have had a few hundred applicants for 4 job postings. We were able to quickly process the apps and hhave hired three people so far without having huge piles of paper.

Pros: I will definitely recommend ApplicantStack to my network. It is a great program, user friendly, cost appropriate and customizing is easy!

Cons: I have yet to find a con to the progam. All programs have one or two (some a few more) but I have yet to find a limitation that I woudl consider a con.

Overall: Between the user friendly aspects of the program and how it meets the needs of our company, our representative, Nathan Shackles is wonderful. I would highly send colleagues his way. He is one of the good assets to the program itself.

Cons: Missing some easy of use for the questions and scoring. Could have more built in features that are used for aptitude and skill assessment.

Overall: I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to manage new hire applications and processes from submission to hiring.

Pros: I love that we now have an online application that is visually seamless on our existing website.
The applicant function are easy to use and quick to learn, and the interface is intuitive. It is great to be able to search for past candidates by name or skill set!
Posting a new job takes less than 2 minutes, and I appreciate the ability to forward emailed resumes into the database. Plus with just a few clicks, I can email regrets to all of the candidates not selected for a posting.
Finally, the few times I have needed some assistance, ApplicantStack staff have been quick to respond.

Cons: Navigating the setup menus can be a little confusing at first.

Overall: Great product!!

Pros: Very feature rich! So easy to use. I've looked at programs designed for big corporate conglomerates that require thousands of dollars in up front investment. This program provides the same technology on a smaller scale at an affordable price. Just right for a small to medium sized business!

Cons: I have found no cons yet. Very feature rich and easy to use.

Overall: Highly recommend to anyone processing a lot of applicants. Makes my job so much easier.

Pros: Great human resources tool for processing and screening job applications. The program is very simple to use and covers so many multifunctional tasks relating to running a human resources department in an education company or higher education institution.
This program should serve as an asset in education businesses of the future.

Pros: We have been looking for a program that would help us better organize the hiring of our seasonal employees, but all others were way too expensive. Applicant Stack provides an extremely organized and user-friendly program for an even more extremely affordable price!

Cons: We would like to be able to use Applicant Stack to "onboard" our employees as well. It would be great if it had a feature that would allow us to track the progress of the hiring process per hired employee.

Overall: Overall, I would recommend Applicant Stack to any small business that is seeking a more organized method of recruiting and hiring new employees.

Pros: The system was easy to set up and customer service was excellent.

Cons: The contraints placed by the system such as limiting the layout of the application were frustrating. It would be nice to be able do something more than a simple linear/vertical layout.

Overall: Seems like a great system and is supported by good people who are responsive and helpful. I'm sure that future versions will include more robust layout options on the user side that don't require additional customization.

Pros: very easy to implement and use--was able to get up and running within minutes. Easily meets the very basic needs of applicant tracking.

Cons: Workflow and process options are somewhat limited. Reporting feature is a little clunky.

Overall: Great tool for small businesses or one-off needs. Covers all the basics at a very affordable price.

Pros: Easy to use for me and very easy for the applicant. Customer service was very responsive and helpful.

Cons: took a little bit to figure out software but really was very easy

Overall: We are using this service to pre-qualify applicants over the phone and online. This enables us a way for someone to fill out an application online. We can greatly increase our odds of finding the right candidate while decreasing how much time we spend.

Pros: I have looked at every applicant tracking system Capterra has listed and at least fifty more. Detail tested thirty systems that seem to fit from their decription. I've selected ApplicantStack because of its logical layout and straight forward design and easy of learning. Adding new fields to your Applicant or Job records is very simple to do and can be done in under two minutes. Need job specific pre-screening questions? I haven't found a better system then ApplicantStack . Their tech support has been outstanding, email or call and they respond very fast. If you think of something that would be helpful, your ideas will be discussed with you. I express thanks to ApplicantStack, for there outstanding system and helpfulness.

Pros: We like the ability to customise the workflow, this is extremely easy and very powerful. Uploading CV's from an inbox is easy. We have not tried to have applicants reply directly to ApplicantStack. However, this would be very useful in the future.

Cons: None as yet

Overall: I would highly recommend this SaaS application. We are a small organsiation, but require consultants for short term contracts which attract many hundreds of applications. Without ApplicantStack, it would take weeks and weeks or resources, which we simply do not have.

Pros: I have been the CEO of several companies both small and large. I or my HR department has purchased many different recruitment and candidate tracking software, even paying as much as $70,000. ApplicantStack.com was easy to get functioning, easy to learn, and easy to implement. It has saved me many 100 hours every time we hire. Even our candidates have had positive thing to say about how easy and informative compared to other companies recruitment portal/website. It is so much more featured than other products that are 10x the cost yet Applicantstack is easy to learn and use - very well thought out and designed. Well worth the cost - best money spent!

Cons: They advertise as small to medium, but it has so many features and is multiuser that I would recemmend any large company to take a serious look.
