Pros
We search the market for a full function software to meet our need however we were limited by budget and resource.
We had almost given up when Volartec open their new office in Europe and present Alkym upon us.
We found it hard to belive that all this functions were available at such a price. Also the sales promise of a live system in 5 weeks was hard to believe.
We are impressed everything proved as promised. We were live in 5 weeks. The project was delivered by the most professional team and they far exceeeded our hopes.
The full system has all the modules we need to manage our fleet. It is clear Volartec understands the business and what us customer need.
The training give us the understanding and the support is beautiful.
Cons
Maybe too much functions for our needs
Normal support times are not exact matching our office time (but AOG does cover this time)
Overall
If you are looking for a system it would be hard to see a better option that mix function with price.
A must for any short list at the very least

Pros
The Alkym 4.2.0 was evaluated and I realised the product cover our necesities, not only for the modulating development but also for the costs and option to permit increasing it capability buying anothers modules not needed in the start up process.
Cons
We are in the startup process for an airline who plans the 1st flight in 4 or 5 months after as soon as the acfts been recived and the company finish the certified process.
Overall
The product fit the small and medium airlines and Repair Stations.
I do not had any problem in the evaluation, obviuslly we need to be trainned in order to permit us operate and get better results.

The system has differents modules for each typical department involved in a 121 operations as a : Engineering ,Planning, Maintenance Control Center , Quality Assurance , Reliability , Purchasing , Inventory ,Storage , Training .
Flexibility : Each module was feasible to be gradually incorporated ( english / spanish platform) , each one in our specific dept. at the proper time
Furthrmore , with the chance of working separatelly or together each aplication it is efasible to customize during and after installation .
This is practical becouse we can incorporate the local CAA policies and local practices without restrictions
Based on windows environment, the system is easy to learn and use
The system is periodically updated incorporating the most common required topics
Support : The customer support works 7x24h , efficintly , following ISO 9000 standards
Cons
-After the implementation and initial training is completed ,training services is available for a fee separatelly .
-Initial introducing data in the the system require a specialized or trained personell action .
-Cost managing must be implemented during installation
Overall
The Alkim -maintenance system- covers all requirements for a little -medium operator , including coverage for FAR 121 and/or 145 MRO /IOSA -ISO compliant
Compared with similar products offered , the price is affordable with prompt recovery of the investment based on its flexibility It is an interesting option for 121 operators or MRO as well .Our experience using Alkim gave us satisfaction in Aircraft and parts controll / purchasing and policies
It also is an important help in keeping and holding our actual IOSA qualifications .
