Comments: This product is the best maintenance management software I have used in my professional career spanning 20 years. The ability to customize it to your needs makes it a must have. The customer support is by far the best on the planet and the value from a cost standpoint far outweighs other cloud products. Love the training and development options for users.

Comments: eMaint has completely restructured the way that we perform maintenance tasks. Automating the scheduling function, creating a log of past work, and delivering a history for each asset is the just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to eMaint. eMaint is a full service CMMS that is fully customizable to fit any need that you may experience in your maintenance operation

Pros

Fully functioning and customizable to fit any operation. Great customer support and technical support. In-house subject matter experts to make your implementation successful. Very cost effective. New versions becoming more and more user friendly.

Cons

The only con I can think of is the time it takes to manage. This requires a full-time eMaint champion to ensure success with this product.

Pros: Very scalable, very configurable, great customer support.

Cons: Very limited reporting functionality -- some examples: limited formatting options; limited titles (can't insert dates, etc); no page headers, footers.

Overall: We needed a CMMS strong enough and flexible enough to handle rotating equipment, commercial buildings, and a large truck fleet. eMaint does all that, and more.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take advantage of eMaint training and technical support. Training and support teams are very knowledgable, accessible, friendly, and efficient.

Pros: ease of use, customer help

Overall: We here at Dana Inc. in Fort Wayne Indiana have been using emaint for just over 2 years. We use it for writing work orders issuing PMs and data mining. We have data proving that your program has saved us money. By implementing a good PM program it has reduced our corrective work orders by a significant amount allowing for more uptime and more productivity.
We love the program and encourage other plants in our organization to switch to emaint.

Pros: Very good configurability

Cons: UI is sometimes slow, but very minor issue

- great feature set from customer request portal to preventative maintenance to very strong report writer to workflow (rules)
- unlimited user def fields in both desktop and mobile forms
- easy to use form designer
- you can get really advanced if you wanted to with configurations or just stay as simple as you need

CUSTOMER SUPPORT
- awesome customer support
- will help you through implementation as much as required without "nickel and diming"
- had a few instances where I needed some functionality that was not part of the baseline software, and after some time, the developers had taken those requests and put them into their baseline free of charge (of course, ideas have to make sense for other users as well)
- absolutely no reservation recommending eMaint

VALUE FOR MONEY
- eMaint's rates are published on their website. They're not the cheapest web-based CMMS, but they're heads and shoulders above their competition
- Really, really good bang for buck

Recommendations to other buyers: eMaint is a very full featured software. You really can't go wrong with it.

Pros: Customer support. Training.

Cons: Calendar function needs work.

Overall: We have used Emaint for about 3 years now and have been very please with what we get for our money. They are responsive to our needs and have delivered on everything they promised!

Recommendations to other buyers: This software can be made to fit almost any application. But if you get to far from fleet or facility maintenance it may complicate things down the road.

The best fit CMMS I have used in the twenty plus years of maintenance.

Comments: eMaint is a customizable CMMS, that allows for the administrator to customize not only reports but forms. I have been able to customize work order forms to cover calibrations, shop time, and contractors. The reports are useful and can be customized for the user of each report. The Dashboard feature allows for snapshots of work orders, inventory, and KPIs.
The support staff is knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with.
We have been able to use eMaint to justify continuous improvement projects and training opportunities.
The one con I have is, eMaint is learning that testing the program prior to updates is critical. Some customers are good at taking the program to limits and pushing them. Thus requiring more testing of updates prior to going live. eMaint has grown at a rate that give opportunities to their customers, however, as customers we always want more. eMaint is stepping up to the challenge, though at a rate slightly slower than to meet our needs. We want to expand the use of eMaint in our China plants and are not able to because of the lack of Mandarin compatibility. eMaint has expressed they are working on this, we would love to go live in 2016 and I don't think this is on the same schedule.

Comments: I have used a few different CMMS systems throughout the years. Over the past year I have been using eMaint and it is by far the the most user friendly system that I have used. The most important feature of eMaint that places them above the rest, is the customer service. I have never dealt with a company that has such great customer care. Thanks eMaint!!

Comments: Part of the success we have experienced has been due to the customer support we have received and implementing the eMaint in smaller steps. It has proven to be quite versatile helping us track several different inspections and equipment moves.

Comments: We have found this to be an interesting journey, We have been able to use this software to automate many of our processes, and our database is growing by leaps and bonds. Our Customer Success Manager, Ray Lattanzio is great(!) and extremely helpful as are the others in your company when we need them. Some times the roll out of updates can leave us playing catch up on relearning the process to use this to it's fullest potential ie going from x3 to x4. looking forward to seeing what all we can make this program do to help us make our company an even bigger success.

Comments: For our facilities team this is a must-have software package, particularly as we move our technicians onto tablets to be used in the field. We are hoping that the product will evolve into an even more efficient platform for serving our facilities team, which in turn helps them better serve our guest and staff needs. As I.T. support for them, it's been a joy allowing them to run with the system and customize it to their needs, not having to always get us involved in every detail. It gives me the freedom to concentrate on other areas of our operation as we grow.

Comments: I've been working with eMaint for a little over a year and in that time, I have learned a lot about this system. The system itself is fairly easy to learn. It's well organized and navigating through eMaint is pretty simple. It also has many useful features such as creating reports which can even be automatically run and sent to other people. Reports can also be published on the dashboard in the form and charts and graphs that allow you to easily get a snapshot of what is going on with your business (ie number of open work orders, how many work orders you have received over a certain time frame etc). You can also use eMaint to do scheduling, track the status of work orders etc very easily.

The customization is another plus. I've been able to customize forms, build reports, and edit fields (or add new ones) to truly customize eMaint and make it something functional for my needs. There are times that I need to call into customer support or reach out to my account manager for help, and when I do, they are very helpful and usually have a quick turnaround time. They have also helped me brainstorm solutions to challenges when I wasn't sure what needed to be done. The eMaint customer service is top-notch and I can honestly say that everyone I have worked with from eMaint has been courteous and helpful.

There aren't many cons to this system, but I have worked with a few other CMMS systems and there are some features that eMaint currently lacks that I'd like to see added in the future. Work example, the ability to message other people through the system. You can eMail things like work order through eMaint, but I'd like to see a system where you could actually message others about the work order through the system and be able to read those messages so that way if you need to review a work order, all of the pertinent information is there. This is just one feature that I have seen from other systems that would be greatly beneficial for eMaint.

Comments: My company asked me to start using some software to track work requests and PMs. At first I wasn't sold, and didn't think emaint would do any good. I am a believer now. It has helped in many ways. And saved us money on downtime. Plus, my Facilities department pretty much runs itself now with all the automated PM work orders.

Comments: The Pros are that we can keep track of all the spending that we do with each vendor that we have. We can also track the cost of each piece of equipment and how much we are spending on parts for each piece of equipment. We can also track the hours and mileage of our equipment and print out quarterly reports. We can also use the reorder report to order inventory once it is low. Having email alerts sent to you is very effective and convenient. Overall, this software is awesome and it makes our daily operation at ease for our employees.
The Cons are few but most of it has to do with Purchase Orders and how supplies get checked in and if there is some back orders the system does not relate to that issue. However it is very difficult to adjust back orders on the purchase order form without the system knowing what we are trying to do. We have found more Pros than Cons with this software overall. I would recommend it to anyone who works with inventory and or keeping track of equipment details.

Comments: We implemented this for our Fleet Management - it has made a tremendous difference in tracking, categorizing, and analyzing expenses (we are still working on reducing them!). It was quick and easy to adjust forms, reports, and workflows to accommodate our needs and customer service has been great the whole way. That was certainly a plus in a situation where implementation was facing a lot of resistance - we could focus on changing culture and practices from reactive to preventative , and less energy was needed to make the CMMS work.

Pros - web-based, mobile friendly, thorough setup straight 'out of the box' very flexible for administration (ability to add/move/delete fields, records, workflows, contacts, etc), constantly adding and improving features, robust reporting and alerts capability, great training videos, even better customer support/service

Cons - the report creation process is less intuitive for non-IT users (it's very usable for basic reports, but more complex queries, ie table joins and multi-filter sets, take more practice), no Google integration for document storage/management, does require some investment in training users, the Purchasing module is a little overwhelming and complicated (but they have updates for that coming soon.

Comments: Our company has been using E-maint for about 7 years now and during that time we have experienced some tremendous growth. We were just starting to occupy our 2nd building when we started with Emaint and now we are getting ready to open our 4th production building, with two smaller storage building. We have three time the personnel as when I started, and a lot of new equipment.
Keeping track of all this growth would have drove anyone crazy with out a CMMS program, and with Emaint ability to be tailored to our needs and ease of use. Well, it was just Ideal for our situation.
It wasn't always easy, as a matter of fact the introduction of Emaint to the rest of the growing group was a hard sell. Getting people on board and using it to document the growth was brutal at times. Promising management benefits to come with the use of this program provided an new element of excitement also.
Our growth is the type of problem that many companies may strive for, but I would not attempt it without something to help keeps the situations under control and well documented. It is easy to look back to see where we came from in Emaint.

Comments: eMaint has not only helped us become more efficient but has drastically increased our communication and knowledge of the over all business at which we work "Superior Dairy". There are only a few things I would like to see eMaint build on is scheduling along with an hour based gantt chart and an easy way to interconnect google calendar with work being scheduled with in eMaint.

By using eMaint in my organization I have started to change the p.m. environment to a predictive environment and this kind of change increases a plant financial ability substantially.

I have used quite a few CMMS and this is by far the best and most user friendly.

Comments: Ajinomoto went live with Emaint in January this year. The maintenance scheduling has bee a huge improvement for our company. Even on our ISO program for cleaning is now being done and recorded instead of not being filled out in a binder. I think I just have hit the surface on this new system and know it can do much more for us. One of the things I do not like so far is the items we save to a PM to print out with a WO will not print unless it is in a PDF format. It would be better id it will print out in multiple formats. I am looking forward to Emaint as we implement more items in the future.

Comments: We were awarded a multi million dollar contract servicing several hundred assets back in 2009. Although we thought we were on top of our scheduling utilizing several excel spreadsheets and countless hours of date input, we soon realized we were in trouble. After researching the internet and even purchasing several property management software programs we landed on eMaints website. I spoke with (Hanelore Fineman) and then (Alex Allen) and after just a few days we were up and running. I do not have enough good things to say about our history with them only that without them we would not be as successful today had we not chosen to move forward several years ago.

The programs are so easy to use and navigate. They can set up automatic transactions for almost everything. It reduced our overhead and streamlined our processes. Thank you eMaint.

Comments: In our manufacturing process we have multiple machines that are alike and use the same parts. At one time it was difficult to tell if high usage of a certain part indicated a problem or not. Recently an electrical switch was taken out of the store room three times in one day. Our work order system showed that this part was used by three different electricians, on three different shifts, but on the same machine. We were able to troubleshoot why this switch was failing and fix a bigger problem. E-Maintenance made it easy to detect.

Comments: I was looking for a CMMS system that had to meet some specific criteria, notably:
Be accessible via smartphone or tablet
The work request procedure had to be very easy to use
I needed to be alerted via text message when a request was entered
Emaint did all of this and so much more! Now when a maintenance tech is sent to work on a piece of machinery, he is able to view the repair/PM history of that machine, he can view the schematics, operator manual, photos, or any document I choose to link to the asset. This is a huge help. For example if a request is entered for a motor not starting and the tech notices a blown fuse, checks history and sees that in the last month this has happened 3 times, that would lead him to take a better look at the motor or wiring. Before emaint, we had to rely on memory or use an Excel spreadsheet (not available to all techs on smartphones). This has so many additional features I haven't used yet as we're still implementing, but whether you're a small job shop or a large corporation with numerous traveling service techs, Emaint will work for you. I've never experienced an outage, and their customer support is always responsive and gets me the answers I need when I'm not sure how to use a feature. I wanted my techs to get a text message whenever a request was entered. Then the tech that responded would reply to the text and the other techs and I would know that it's being addressed. Within 30 minutes they had that set up for me and working flawlessly. I'd highly recommend Emaint.

Comments: I started with a new company in 2014 where I was the site administrator for eMaint. I had experience with infor, Datastream, and Maximo in the past. I was able to very quickly learn how to navigate through the system which was a huge sigh of relief not having the overwhelming experience of learning a new system.
Additionally, most of the free monthly webinars are very beneficial at helping us learn new tricks. We generally have multiple people at the plant from different job descriptions attend that are exposed to eMaint.

Comments: The launch and use of emaint with our company has been a resounding success in our opinion. The ease of use and customer service should be a point of pride for the emaint team.
Every time I have had a question or a problem, your teams response has been quick and
correct in helping me get through whatever difficulty we were having.
If there are any negatives at all it has been on our end with our communication infratrucure,
which we are upgrading.
Overall I am extremley pleased with emaint x3.

Comments: Pros ¿ Streamlined the work order process from request to completion. Helped get our parts inventory more accurate and is great at showing where our parts, time and money is going. Gets us away from using spread sheets to track and order parts. All our techs use the mobile which communicates faster and more accurately that the old paper way. Customer service help line is amazing.

Cons ¿ Some data transfer issues and the need to rewrite PM tasks. No way to assign one work order to multiple people. Excited to see next version of mobile, but still waiting on the bugs to get worked out.

Comments: When we evaluated a number of cloud-based CMMS for one of our facilities management contract, eMaint quickly rose to the top of the list. The system is highly customizable, which addressed the reporting requirements of our P3 contract. All of the staff with whom we interacted, from sales to our account manager, were highly professional and helpful. The best part is the fact that eMaint does not charge implementation fees; it's all included in the monthly fee. We must have spent about 2 hours/week for 6 months with the eMaint team, designing and configuring our system. Pricing is good and transparent. I would recommend eMaint to anyone.

The only one downside I see is just inherent in a cloud-based system: you need internet access. If that's not a problem for you, then it's a no-brainer!

Comments: When reviewing software packages companies always say "we can do that" and well eMaint really can. Need a new field? No problem! No tech support or computer science degree required! You can create the new field yourself. Don't like the flow the the screen? No problem! You can change it! Need a new report? No problem! They have an amazing reporting tool where you can create your own report or modify the many reports already made for you. Have to train a new employee? No problem! They have an amazing online eMaint University! Need to access it from your plant floor? your car? No problem!

I would recommend eMaint to any company, large or small. They really have an awesome product with awesome support.

Pros: Amazing customer service, these people really know their stuff.

Reports option is wonderful

Cons: Sales made us believe that they could modify this system to fit exactly to what we needed. After many conference calls we got some modifications but didn't meet exact expectations we had going into the conversion. The tech's have done everything they can to make us happy.
Some of the search fields are combersome.
Training time.

Overall: We converted from MP2 to Emaint with many bumps and hiccups but this is to be expected when changing programs. Emaint is worlds apart from MP2 with regard to reporting, work orders, and inventory control but got hairy with the purchasing process. After many hours of configuration with the Emaint Techs they have modified the purchasing process to match our needs. I would hands-down recommend Emaint to another company!!

Pros: Well thought out structure
Versatile for almost any conceivable application
Organization always makes improvements

Cons: They still don't have an adequate mobile version for popular phones. I am told they are working on it.

Overall: I would absolutely recommend this organization to anyone or I wouldn't use it myself.

Pros: easily altered and configured to meet our changing enviroment.

Cons: For my application I have no negative responses. Maybe that the pdf work order print the actual WO butmy workaround is to print to pdf.

Overall: For my use it meets or exceeds my requirements.

Cons: User Manual would be a big help with multiple users.

Pros: This product has been excellent from the get go. The interface is easy to use and easy to customize. The support folks have been awesome to work with. Since I started using X3 in my region in 2008 the rest of the Agency also decided to go with eMaint. Some of the other areas were very complex and eMaint stepped up a customized the interface and mandated reporting to meet their needs. As I am a seasoned user I thought that having the on-site training was not going to gain me much, but I was wrong. The trainer spent extra time with me off-line and showed me some more complex things I could do to make the product work even harder for us. eMaint is constanly listening to the customer and updating and tweaking the system to make it better.There is on-line training available 24/7 and it is easy to use and simple to understand.

Cons: There are always ways to improve and eMaint is in a constant mode of updating. But off-hand I can't think on any "cons", this product simply meets our needs.

Overall: This is the second time I have purchased X3 as I also used eMaint at my last two employers and would do so again in a heart beat.
This is a top-notch product with top-notch support and I highly recommend it!

Pros: The software works well and the folks in customer support are more supportive and responsive than one would typically expect from a web-based software package. The support team went above and beyond in developing the software revisions to meet our desires.

Cons: Does not interface with Microsoft Project and doesn't offer an easy to use alternative in project management, although a way to do so is in the system.

Overall: Promote the idea port more. There are great ideas there, but I feel like people engage initially but forget about it after a period of time.
