Pros: The SOAP portion

Cons: everything else

Overall: I am very unhappy with this product. I am constantly getting logged off while I'm trying to work. I am having issues with the billing portion of the program. When my billers call, they are told that this isn't a high priority. They nickel and dime you for features which should just be part of the system like text reminders. I would not install this system again. As soon as I can afford to switch, I will.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't purchase it. It has caused me only headaches.

Hands down the biggest waste of money. Opening a clinic and spending 6k on a program that is junk.

Comments: For the past 8 months this program has had major issues. Billing numbers skewed, 30-60 seconds a mouse click. Takes forever to finish a note. When you call customer support they have no clue what you are talking about or to the reason of the laziness of the program when in fact smart cloud sent out a message upon log in about major issues being worked on for next update. Updates are done and most updates actually cause more issues than they help. I used this program in college and it was great. Since having it in my own office with high speed internet it has been a disaster. Smart cloud has hired a 3rd party to help do assessments in offices and try to sell you new routers when in fact they aren't needed. What a huge mess. I have called left messages emails with no response. The only time this lazy company gets a hold of our office is when its time to update our clinic debit card to pay for monthly cloud hosting which is also a huge joke. locked in at 124.00$ and 6 months later it goes to 169.00$ and not a person has a answer for it. If I had not paid for the program I would dump it in a heart beat and get rid of it. I certainly wouldn't buy chiro touch either. Toggle recoil that one Smart cloud.

Absolutely the worst software ever invented! Don't even bother!!

Pros: horrible

Cons: everything

Overall: Horrible in every billing aspect ever! Auto posting from EOB's does not work due to having to ut allowables in the system; so many errors. Have to manually post most payments! Have to download claims onto computer and then download to clearinghouse. Have to download ERA's from clearinghouse to computer then to smartcloud! I have to be a human computer as I do all of the work manually due to all of the problems of this software. When you call them with a problem, they say they are working on it and it will be fixed in the next update but it never is. We have not been able to close out 2016 with correct numbers as their reports won't read correctly. It's February and they still don't know how to fix it. The should have fixed the problems before rolling out this program! They should be ashamed of themselves rolling out this program when it's so, so horrible and does not work the way it is intended! The programmers don't have a clue on what the users need. This system is the worst and I have been in this field for 15 years. There are tons more problems that are even more detailed that I just can't spend the time to include here today. I would not recommend this system to my worst enemy! We will be switching as soon as we find the right one and we will not be paying any cancelation fees of any kind as we have a great lawyer! Don't do it!!!!!

Recommendations to other buyers: I would be here all day.

Pros: When working properly its quick, efficient, and is pretty easy to operate once you learn the software.

Cons: It is not very intuitive initially, there is a lot of training you need to do.
Customer service and IT help is not very good.
Has had some major issues currently taking weeks to fix.
They up their subscription fees after you purchase.
Their billing department is definitely lacking.

Overall: This software had been great for several years. In the last couple weeks, they have been having a ton of issues which have ended up costing me money and frustrating our patients. There have been several problems and I will outline them below.
First off, when sending out intake forms to patients, it had been down for two weeks, which throws our whole practice out of whack as, all our patients are required to fill out the forms prior to coming in the office as we keep a light staff. Then they fixed it this week, and now I sent forms and it sent forms with the wrong patient name and now won't pull up the correct forms at all. Once again its gone to completely broken.

Secondly, they had a billing issue where I gave them my company debit card for the monthly subscription, over a year ago. They messaged me last week saying my payment needed to be updated. (My card had been stolen electronically last week and I figured it was due to that). Nope, they said I owed over $2100 and that during the take over by chirotouch, my payment info was messed up and we weren't billed. I never received any prior notice of non-payment or even a bill until 14 months later stating my account was one of the few that slipped through the cracks but I can set a payment plan up...
Lastly, the software has been extremely slow over the last month of use. To the point where I am having to complete notes at the end of the day instead of in the room. I don't know about you, but I don't like staying late doing something that can be done in the moment.

This software has ended up costing me over 2k this week when a patient walked out because it appeared I had no idea what I was doing because my software was on the fritz.

I own two clinics and use this software at both. When I bought I was also told the subscription fee was a price for life, but they also upped that to 150/mo from $125. I talked to their billing department and have basically gotten the runaround. So I guess I'll be stuck paying the added fee since I already forked out thousands just to be able to use it.

I have asked several times to talk to someone about these issues and their tech support person claims they are in 'crisis mode' and my tech issues won't be looked at for quite some time, and definitely not this week in his words. Apparently, according to this tech I talked to, they had to hire a third party to try help fix the program as it is experiencing major issues.

Recommendations to other buyers: It takes about 2 weeks to set up and learn the software. Buy good computers, as it will lag on slow computers. Get good internet unless you like wasting time. Also, be aware, that being cloud based, your notes are not accessible when the software is down or the internet is down. I initially never thought about it, until it happened on a very busy day with lots of new patients, re-exams, etc...

Pros: Use with billing services.

Cons: Speed and cumbersome clicking.
In billing not able to see clearly how charges have been applied without clicking page by page. Its very slow to move from page to page. Statements are hard for patients to read and understand (all versions from basic to more detailed).

Overall: At times this program can run very slow decreasing work productivity. Many of the features require a lot of clicking to process through and with a slow system this eats up a lot of time.
It is also expensive to add providers such as massage therapists with an extra initial charge and increased monthly service fees.
Quick button macros help to streamline note taking.

Recommendations to other buyers: An expanded payment ledger would be helpful.

Comments: I had looked at several EHR's for chiropractic billing, documentation, scheduling, and certification for attesting for Meaningful Use (Medicare), and this included demos from Eclipse, Medisoft, and ACOM. Also, I demoed each of those more than once to come to my conclusion that SmartCloud was easier to begin implementation, they are a large company with several chiropractic clients that was going to be in business for several years to come, and they offered "a la carte" purchasing which was important because I wanted to start with the Scheduler and Documentation, and then later move into the Billing modules.

I have successfully attested for Meaningful Use (Stage 2) using the software's help videos, free webinars, and excessive training information. They have training modules for each category that you need to attest to and how to do this using the software.

Also, when there are specific areas of chiropractic such as Meaningful Use changes coming soon, they produce several free webinars to ask questions and provide quick, detailed information on what to do for the changes.

The customer support and "ideas" area are very responsive with any issues that I have come across. And you can vote on specific ideas that users such as myself would like to see added to the software. As an idea accumulates more points, it has priority to be added in future updates.

Overall, you can financially work yourself into the program because you can purchase it in stages, implement it easily using the training videos, and run this from your home, office, and even check on it on vacation (when you should' be checking on it). :)

Cons: Always needs to update in the morning it seems like, can be slow on junky computers, not compatible with Mac.

Overall: It's quick and easy once everything is set up. Billing is efficient. Reports are detailed and easy to use. Great option that is much cheaper than the competition in the long run.

Recommendations to other buyers: Set up and training do take some time before it's useable.

Pros: Ease of use and speed to generate SOAP notes

Cons: Steep curve for learning the system

Overall: We've been using Smartcloud for roughly 2 years now and couldn't be happier with the entire system. Yes, it was a little time consuming to get started but it has enhanced work flow tremendously and now allows us versatility with charting that we previously just couldn't do.
As others have mentioned, tech support can be a little slow at times. However, they do provide solutions are seem very happy to help.
All in all, very happy with our purchase.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you commit to learning the system and customizing it to your office you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Since chirotouch bought smartcloud they have invested in completely better support , and made some major adds to the features. A new schedule this year really helped the CAs, and as a Dr. that treats a lot of Pi and medicare patients, I love the documentation end. Just passed a MC audit with ease. Multi facility options were necessary for my home office, and I needed to have access to my office from all over so need the cloud approach.

Cons: As I travel a lot, my access is dependent on internet quality . Not smartcloud fault but slow internet really affects things. in 2 years the system has gone down 5 times and we couldn't use it , but these down periods were only for a few hours which is really inconvenient.

Overall: A client for 2 years now. We moved over from Eclipse and the changeover was a big change and challenging. The trainer we had really cared and bent over backwards to help us learn this new system.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you want mobility get the cloud, but know that it goes down sometimes and get GOOD INTERNET !

Comments: This software is so much extra work and is not user friendly. This software was also NOT developed for a chiropractic office. This program is missing so many basic features. When a patient calls there's no way of telling what provider they see. If your in another window and someone calls or steps up to speak with you, you have to x out of whatever you are doing and go back to start all over after helping your patient. They've recently done and update that kind of helps with certain aspects but it takes 10 steps just to book a patient. There is absolutely no good way of communicating any patient information between staff members. You can't leave notes for a patient. Say you send a recall card. How will you know? You sent one but can't log it anywhere. How will other staff members pick up where you left off? You can't communicate anything on this software. You can email... but its easy to overlook throughout the day. It doesn't alert you that you have a new email or turn a color for unread messages. You can add links to your emails and you can't print them either. The tutorials are basic and don't give you all the correct information. They train you on the absolute basics of what you need to get started but don't tell you what all these tabs and indicators are and if you'll need them. Customer support doesn't know either. All around we would of stuff with our current software. This is a pain.

Comments: Recently the Furture Health product Smart Cloud was taken over by Chiro-touch. Future Health Software offered 2 softwares- Smart Server (a actual software) and Chiro-touch , a web based option. Future Health is no longer supporting Smart Server, so as a "forced move" past SS clients were moved to Smart Cloud for an "easy" conversion.

The conversion was not good. We spent countless hours going through every patient account after the conversion to hit a tab or two that were not converted.

The actual software lacked so bad that Chiro-touch had to launch a series of updates- to re construct the scheduler (which came this week 4-8-16) and is quite incomplete. Plans for a whole new billing module is also promised.

Advanced practice reports with Patient visits, stats from collections, and per provider are unusable

The soap notes require 2 areas to add problems then re entering the problems at diagnosis time. This is very time consuming.

Posting to billing of EOB is difficult- no multi user per one check feature... which has slugged our billing department in the gut.

The Scheduler has limited function and does not allow for reports on why patients missed, and the update doesn't yet allow for a note on those visits.

EHR- scanning was an upgrade from the old system.

I want the old Smart Server back... even though we were on the phone with them weekly about poor reports.

So far- being cloud based has gained us nothing- except slow movement through the millions of clicks per patient.

Chirotouch is probably hating that they took on this software.. they have doubled there staff on customer services and still we wait 45 min to get to someone.... ouch.

For now... do not get this software... and it would have to greatly improve to recommend ever.

Be Wary!

Comments: You have a time limit to watch your training videos instead of letting you train at your own pace. If time runs out, no more videos to train with.
My patient rep was great, but a lot of things are done half-way- in my case, this included patient information transfer from my old software. It was never completed and the person doing it never got back to me.
The software is complicated, and takes lots of clicking to create a good note. And the set up for patient folders, etc are also set up weird and take too many steps. Even checking a patient out takes more effort than what we were used to.
THERE IS NO MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. They won't let you play with the software on your own, like with a free trial, etc. If you decide you don't like it you are out A LOT of money. I lost a lot of money just to find out the software didn't fit.
I even had a hard time leaving the program, as I couldn't get in touch with the people I needed to. Then they declared they needed a 30 day notice to terminate.
All in all, this was a very bad and very stressful experience for me and my staff.

Otherwise I like that I can do a compliant note in 20-30 seconds, which allows me more time to focus on the patient.

Comments: We invested in future health 1 year ago. We struggled implementing the system and then received notification that our server based system would no longer have updates after 2015. So in short, our $9000 investment went belly up. They tried getting us to the cloud based system(much cheaper)(great, a free downgrade) that would not work for us or getting us to train on another partner business ChiroTouch for an additional $6000. No thank you. We questioned the partner company (chirotouch) and when asked why it would be so expensive, we were told we should have started with them and never bought FutureHealth. Future Health told us that we would have free upgrades for the first year and the Chirotouch should have been that upgrade since they had nothing else to offer. We have taken our investments elsewhere.

Comments: Customer service was great until the day I actually went live to start using the software. I was having multiple problems, and needed to add more apps to make the software half way usable. Two weeks went by, and I had tried repeatedly to get a hold of someone to fix the issues. This software is overpriced, not near as customizable as they claim, and now with their new merger who knows what the future of future health holds. I had to quit using the software and am now again looking at other software companies and am out all of the money I put into future health. It's a bummer and lesson learned. Please don't make the same mistake that I did.

Comments:
The list of problems is long, but the major issues are as follows.

The scheduler does not refresh from one computer to the next making the staff frustrated because they don't trust the schedule. This leads to patients being called in to see the doctor in the wrong order and frustrates the doctor, the staff and the patients.

The today patient list will show notes as completed and the patient hasn't even been in the office or seen by the doctor yet.

The patient photo disappears occasionally. The family history disappears occasionally. The vitals disappear occasionally.

We used to submit a ticket and they responded back within the hour. Recently I haven't been getting any responses and as of right now have tickets that have been sitting there for 8 days with no response.

I have spent loads of Money on new computers, IT support in my office, and upgraded to the best connection possible because I was told from futurehealth that it wasn't their software but still have these problems. Our IT person checked everything and said it wasn't our computers or internet. Futurehealth had their IT people check it out and they told us that it definitely wasn't a problem on our end. Futurehealth has told me on multiple occasions that our office is the only one with these problems but I contacted an office in our area with this software and they had the same problem so they decided to purchase another software and be done with this frustration.

My advice is to think twice about this system!

Comments: Pros: Seamless integration between all computers in the office and at home (mobile/laptop
capabilities.) Speed of billing application through receipt printout. Capabilities for (nearly) complete customization of the scheduling display. Cloud Based! I run a cash clinic, but even so I still employ many aspects of record keeping you would expect to see in an insurance based office such as outcome assessments. Future health gives me a great variety, specifically speaking of OATs, which seamlessly incorporate into the patient¿s permanent record.

Con: Scheduling needs a couple major tweaks. There needs to be an easier way for blocking appointment times for lunch and more customization with the appointment hours. When selecting type of visits, the max time allowed is 90 minutes. Something that I dreamed would be to have a biometric fingerprint capability where the patient comes in, scans their finger and it performs 2 functions. #1 it keeps a record that the patient signed in that day (eliminating the need for a patient sign in sheet and all the HIPAA compliance issues those entail) and #2 it would ¿sign in¿ the patient on the schedule instead of having the front desk do that also.

Overall Summary of Future Health Software:
OK. So I know I wrote A LOT of things in the cons part of this testimonial so it looks like I do not like the product much. In reality it is only a couple of minor issues with all of my hopes and dreams for how the product could work. There are very few things I would change about the program, which is why it is hard to say what is done so well, when something works as it should, it kind of fly¿s under the radar so to speak, problems are what stick out and of problems there are very few.

Overall, I couldn't imagine running my clinic without Future Health. It is an incredible program both functionally and aesthetically (because no one wants to spend thousands of dollars on software that looks like it is from 1995). The ability to customize the program through individually purchased apps means that you get exactly what you want without having to pay for ¿packages¿ that include options you will never use. The end of bloatware has arrived with Future Health!

Future Health has everything that will fit your need to run a successful practice.

Steve is my sales rep and he provides weekly training webinars that up and critical to my set up an understanding of the software. The service was provided as part of my monthly fee. What I like about the softwareis that you have all of the patients information available to you have a touch of a button. No more searching through charts for restrictions red flags to care etc.The ICD 9/10 macros are customizable so that my favorite diagnosis sets are available with a button as well as my comment treatments cpt's. The software was designed by chiropractors for chiropractors and it really shows. Customer service has been excellent to date.I look forward to going live on January 1 of 2015.

Comments: The only thing I can say about the Smart Cloud is that it lacks intelligence. I have been using this cloud based service for about 1 year and all it has given me and my staff is a headache. The list of problems is long, but the major issues are as follows.
1. The scheduler is horrible; there is no easy way to view the past schedule (if I wanted to see my day from 6 months ago I would have to click back each day for six months and it can take up to 5 minutes to load!)
2. The scheduler does not refresh from one computer to the next ¿ making my staff uneasy because they don¿t trust the schedule. This leads to double booking in the office ¿ major headache and poor reflection on my office!
3. The ¿Today¿s Patient¿ list is the list where we manage our EHR¿s for the day. The list of ¿complete¿ ¿incomplete¿ or ¿none¿ is inaccurate. On a daily basis, my schedule lists patient notes as ¿complete¿ when they have not even ENTERED into my office yet! To top it off, each computer lists something different for EHR status (one computer lists a note as ¿complete¿ and another will lists it is ¿none¿). You can imagine this leads to a documentation nightmare! We have to look in three areas to see the status of the note. And there is no way to look at the past schedule to audit and be sure all notes have been complete.
4. There are no useful lists for managing an office from a statistics point of view.
I have spent loads of $$ on new computers, IT support in my office, and upgraded to the best connection possible ¿but still have these problems. FH has told me on multiple occasions that our office is the only one with these problems but I question that after reading some of these recent reviews.
The MOST frustrating thing is that I called the head of customer support ONE month ago and just made the 5th attempt to connect and am still waiting to hear from him!
In case you were wondering, the document that is generated is beautiful. That (and MU) seems to be where FH has put all of their resources. Investing some resources into other aspects of the program would be advised.
I have made the decision to go back to my old system. This year has been a waste of money and time and caused major frustration for our entire staff! My advice is to think twice about this system and don¿t let them ¿sell you¿ with the beautiful document that can be generated. Ask about the practice management side of things before deciding to purchase this!

Comments: System was down Monday when we came in. Called and as always Brandi was very helpful. We came to the conclusion that my computer had a virus and ended up having to purchase a new computer due to the other being older than dirt. We called back Tuesday to have the system re-installed and the same issues still persist. For starters they called us to do an install at 5:15 p.m. EST. Turns out that the problem is with the program, not my computer. Here it is Wednesday and we still haven't received a call back to resolve this issue. We have been blind all week not knowing what patients are coming and going. This is unacceptable! I'm assuming their support team only consists of 2 people in the department....????

Hello Megan, Since you are not a cloud based customer and your smart server product resides on your own proprietary server on your premise this means that the software operating system on your server and the associated firewalls, security set-up and data back-up fall on your local IT responsibility. As the agent that worked with you explained, your database has been encrypted by some sort of virus or trojan similar to CryptoLocker. This unfortunately means that even removing the virus or moving the data to a new machine will not allow you to access the encrypted data. We do partner with an IT company that may be able to assist in recovering these files, put protection in place, create a disaster recovery plan for the future. The best solution right now to get up and running will be to restore to your most recent off-site backup, which should be done daily. Once the data is restored we can assist with configuring your EHR software. Josh Jacobs Director of Customer Support

Comments: We have been using FutureHealth Smart Server (formerly CVOS) for over four years. No software is perfect, but our experience is that nearly all issues that arise are dealt with expediently. Each new release brings an array of improvements and fixes, and in between, their support team can usually resolve issues in one call. They have also made achieving Meaningful Use seamless, with terrific response to problems that arise.
There are a couple changes we have been lobbying for, but with the new certification process for 2014, their programming time for other updates has been limited.
Overall it's a great product from a great company.

Comments: My office has had problems with every part of this system. The scheduler is horrible. You can not set recurring hours. You can not set breaks or reminders in the scheduler. Patient appointments disappear randomly. The ERA does not work at all. Future Health has not fixed it in the six months I have had the system. Future Health must set up providers and staff for you, this was done incorrectly multiple times. Customer Service is horrible. They don't listen to your questions or concerns and nothing is done about them. You will however receive an email telling you they received your concern. Nothing will be done about it, trust me. What a waste of money, time, and effort for myself and my staff. Please don't buy this system.

Comments: We've used many different office software set-ups in our office before finding Future Health. We have been impressed with its functionality and capabilities. Comments: I'm the director of a multi-doctor clinic that has used FH for about 2 years now. The software is spotty and hard to use (numerous mouse clicks make it very time consuming). The fact that the scheduling screen can only show one view is absurd. I wouldn't know if there are any better updates or improvements to the product because no one seems concerned about us since we are already customers. They tricked the owner into upgrading the software instead of closing the account with false promises. Most of what he told the owner future health could do was bologna.

Dr. Haynes, Thank you for your feedback on our SmartServer product and your time on the phone this week. While meaningful use is certainly important we are also dedicated to continually improving our products to meet the needs of all of our users. From our conversations your main concern was that it takes 3 to 5 minutes to do a new patient note and you would like to see some changes to the interface to improve this. While we believe our products are the most efficient in the industry, when it comes to creating new notes and recreating from a previous note, we are always looking for ways to improve. I look forward to working with you, listening to your ideas, and seeing what we can implement to improve your experience. Josh Jacobs Director of Customer Support 10/7/2014

Comments: I am the office manager in our practice and my husband is the doctor. We've had Future Health for about 3 years now and I really appreciate the attentiveness of Future Health's customer service team. If I ever have questions with the software, I use click to chat, which they're always available. I also use email to contact them, and when I do, I always get a prompt response.

Because of Future Health's training, we have successfully attested for Meaningful Use for the last 2 years. If we ever have MU questions, they're always available to ask right away. I don't have to go searching, because they're always right there.

After we initially purchased the software, I was worried about learning the system. Thankfully it was so easy to navigate and use that it didn't take me long to pick up and now it's second nature.

I always recommend Future Health to all our friends who practice and would gladly recommend it to anyone else.

Pros: Documentation is SO easy!

They give us Compliant Note examples to review and implement on our own.

Our staff says "this makes it so much easier" almost every day!

The features are great and each PERSON can make their eConnect look they way they want it to! And the little they dont have now, they will have soon which is great. They take the time to make things right before they introduce a new app.

The integration from schedule to SOAP to billing is seamless!

Its just so so easy!!

Cons: Not all the features we want, but the bells an whistles are coming and we got in at a MUCH lower price than some other softwares.

Overall: Absolute best EHR out there and for a LOT less cost than the other "good" ones.

I am SO glad that we didnt waste our money with the more expensive software and server costs. The cloud is COOL too!

The apps that they have put out this year are AWESOME!!! We got into the Apps for life program, which has ALREADY paid off for us.

eConnect has helped our Doctors become more compliant (they actually SHOWED us compliant note examples) but it has also helped our staff - our biller is LOVING it and the front desk staff has had a LOT of things taken off their plate since the software does it for us, and even more soon!

Pros: The basic software package is a great place to begin learning the fundamentals of a complete EHR system. I first heard of eConnect through the American Chiropractic Association's publication (ACA News) and was interested in the free basic functionality because I have just started a practice with limited funding. I was immediately impressed with the ease of use, and the online help documents and videos answered almost all of my questions. I am a recent graduate who still was using paper records during my education, and it was very important to be able to learn the software without an initial financial obligation. After some time using and learning eConnect, I have decided to add functionality through extra affordable applications which will improve my practice's operational efficiency. It is nice to be able to produce such detailed information in a "point and click" environment, with the ability to personalize the information via freeform in the comments sections.

Cons: New practitioners may have to spend extra time learning the system. The body diagram in the free software can be difficult to learn in order to create descriptive images.

Overall: I highly recommend eConnect as a starting point for those searching for a complete EHR system. You can learn the free basic structural program at your own pace and the support system is fantastic. I have had no problems with the software and look forward to implementing it into my practice.

The new Macro App was a game changer for me.

I have to say this piece of software is really turning into something! Keep up the good work!!

Pros: Accountability to third party payers is beyond expectation.

Support goes above and beyond to help if there is a problem with the program.

Cons: Live training can be redundant at times and the live trainers will repeat themselves often.

Overall: A very good investment for my office. Before Future Health, I worried about my records and that I was missing portions to add to my notes. I was getting yelled at for a few years for my documentation and since I started with Future Health, I do not have to worry any more. Pros: When I was first sold the software i thought it was going to be a life saver. The notes section is complete and easy to use.

Cons: When I was first sold the software i thought it was going to be a life saver. But then i got it and it takes more time than my old program. First it has to constantly update every week. The program just freezes!!!! At any given time in the most unpractical times. Never a good thing when you have the phone ringing and people trying to schedule and you writing notes. Customer support is not very helpful they told me it my router. Bought new $150 router and then had computer guy check it $300 visit!!! This still did not help the problem.
They need to streamline notes I wish i could omit certain parts of the notes so the note is not so long. Notes to a attorney for a PI case 68 pages of paper for 16 visits!!! That is not including my PI report. The scheduling part of the program is marginal at best some things are very steam line while other seem to be more complicated than they need to be.

Overall: I really wanted to love this program. I could only use it for four months and then had to move one. It would freeze all the time. I think it has the makings of a good product unfortunately I did not have the time or the patience. I bought the free apps for life package it was not cheap. Buyer beware.

Pros: Great all encompasing system. Highly recommend to all who are looking for a system that will handle all of your clinics needs.

Cons: In the last quarter of 2011 it was hard to get someone from customer service in a timely manner. Pros: The program is very easy to use, there is little cost to hardware (I have a couple of touchscreens in each of my adjusting rooms) and I can access the software from my home (major plus). eConnect software is the second EMR I have owned. Before I closed my first office, I had spent over $10 K for an EMR program that I maintained on my hardware at the office. The cost of eConnect and the low cost of hardware is a huge plus. Buying a server for my first practice was expensive and I found it a nightmare to maintain. Having eConnect for my clinic has made a huge improvement for my practice and eliminates many of the problems I had at my first clinic.

Speed of documentation is also a huge plus as well. I can do my wellness notes within seconds. I have yet to see a program that is as easy to use.

Cons: The majority of my cons are nearly all resolved since when I first purchased eConnect. The program and company had issues with slowness last Spring and I had a hard time getting a hold of support. I think a lot of this had to do with the company's growth.

As of today, the software is fast and I get return phone calls within a day's time by support. The cons I have now is that there are a couple of apps not released that I need, but econnect has been consistently releasing new features in a short period of time.

Overall: If I were to write this recommendation a year ago, my Cons would far outweighed the Pros. Having the program and seeing the program develop over the past year, I am very impressed with what eConnect has delivered considering econnect is not even two years old. I have spoke with their CEO Dr. Kraus and I am impressed with how much passion there is for where they want to take the program.

Overall, the program is very easy-to-use, most of the kinks have been taken out, and support has dramatically improved. Especially seeing where the program was a year ago compared to now. Training is also good and helpful.

Terrible Service, Software and Support

Pros: Compliance with current EHR standards for CMS.

Cons: Lack of customer service, software shuts down on its own, software is so slow that the doctor can adjust a patient and the screen will still not have moved to a different screen. You will put in a call to customer service and will never have it answered or called back. Emails refer you to YouTube training videos instead of one on one contact that was a "selling pitch".

Overall: We purchased this software to replace our current software and thank goodness we didn't get rid of our current software. This software lacks the ability to run an office smoothly. What seemed like such a great software on the sales pitch has now turned into a huge waste of money and time. Do not buy this software.

Pros: Great notes, nice detail.

Cons: Unable to generate a paper HCFA form from the billing portion of the software. Tried every conceivable option, including a new printer Future Health recommended, but nothing worked. After 3 weeks of use, with no success, they denied my refund request and am now going through the dispute process with my credit card company. If this saves one other person from going through the nightmare I've experienced, it will be worth it.

Overall: I can't recommend a product that doesn't provide a workable billing solution as part of its package. If notes are the only part needed, it would work. If an entire package is needed, try Compulink.

Pros: It did not take me several months to get up and running. It was fairly intuitive with a very short learning curve for me. The software does not get in the way of my running my practice in the slightest bit and enables me to concentrate on the important things, like my patients. Also, it is already EHR certified.

Cons: Not many apps out yet, but it is being addressed as the software develops further.

Overall: I really like the software. It was easy to learn, is easy to use, and the development team is working hard to improve the software continually. Customer support is excellent.

Pros: New Idea: Someone once said to me, "As soon as you've succeeded, then I'll listen to what you have to say... until then you would be better served to listen to me and following my example as I've already done it." "So don't make waves or try to re-invent the wheel." After hearing those exact words from someone whom I had considered to me my mentor; I walked away and never looked back and in doing so I shut down mentally and artistically regarding myself to be inferior and less than capable of forming a useful thought or new idea for this beautiful healing profession. I have a small reservation still from opening up and adding anything such as an intovative idea for a wonderful product designed to uplift the profession of chiropractic. And God knows we need uplifted across the nation not only in Chiropractic but in Health Care in general. What ever happened to the idea of "patient care" and "1st do no harm" , etc. /// (con't below)

Cons: (con't from above); Can this company eConnect be a strong pillar to assist the chiropractic profession as a whole across the nation ? I think yes it can. And if you approach the marketing even more aggressivily at first the long range unification effects could become monumental and trend setting. Say, for example, we all formed a CO-OP and as a memeber we had access to 1,000's and multiple 1,000's of chiropractors across this nation who could easly standarize quality patient care thru the eConnect approach. If I were to receive a referral or a previous treatment plan sent to my office from a doctor's office utilizing eConnect software I would have to set down and collect my composure because of the difference between professional quality progress notes and treatemnt care plans and protocols and the usual "chicken scratches" and "off-the-wall short hand scribbles" that usually arrive after a request for past treatment records. (con't below)

Overall: I know I'm preaching to the choir in this response; however, that being said... consider the idea of forming a CO-OP of sorts and in doing so perhaps more software can be affordable to the 12 doctor / 1 office manager size clinics across the nation. The eConnect is better than straight dictation in my opinion due to the fact the doctor actually sees the information personally before it is processed into the patient's progress note. Congratulations to the eConnect family and to Dr. Kraus and the Future Health staff. /// God bless you all. ~ Rocky G. Ferrell, DC, Perry, OK 73077.

Pros: The Asthetics of the software, ease of use, the fact that everything is accessable through the main screen and you can toggle back and forth without opening multiple windows. Large icons make touch screen applications very easy within the adjusting rooms. Since its cloud based, finishing up on notes at home is just as fast as doing them in the office. With non-cloud based software, I would have to use remote desktop connection and then the slowness made me not able to work from home efficiently. teh Scheduler is easy to move appointments around and customize as needed.

Cons: Some small bug issues that shut the software down occasionally. Missing some functionality of CVOS like a 'sent to billing' column in the dx/tx report.

Overall: Highly reccomended as a high volume clinic, scheduling, documentation, and billing are a breeze so I can focus on patient care and not spending all my time with documentation. Works great for my clinic and we have been running smoothly.

Overall: Stay away as system is extremly hard to use, and it didn't integrate with billing system used for 20 years.

Pros: Terrible support, wait 2 days to hear back. Lousy implementation. Diffcult to use scheduler. Understaffed. 10 people for 3000 practices. Was told that by VP of Sales that "we are growing exponentially, so things..." are allowed to go wrong. No reply for 15 days for emailed information. Waited +48 hours for support to call us back..

Cons: Asked for a refund,, and received an answer 15 days later. "We don't give refunds". I stated even though I received no support for over 48 hours and was told here's your ticket number and we will call you back in the order we received your call. Received the" no refunds" dialoque 15 days after numerous emails and certifed letter sent. VP of Salesstates Brenda recevies emails, she was in an ATV accident so if a person is out we're down that person. SO that's why you didn't receive an answer. Lousy customer service

Pros: Customer Service is great, price point is fantastic, and the program does what my clinic needs. I have always found EHR software hard to use, but with about a month of practice with econnect we were up and running. We use the scheduler, health record, notes and billing and all work well together. I saw a couple of reviews that said the program is not complete or ready but perhaps that was in the past. I am pleased with the purchase and look forward to more upgrades in the future.

Cons: Not certified YET. but have been told that will happen in July. Would like to see more scheduler functionality. The software is "cloud software" so I had to upgrade my internet speed which was more expensive but it runs really fast now.

Overall: I would not hesitate to purchase this program for a practice like mine that see's 125 to 150 patients per week. I don't think there is any really perfect software for D.C.'s but this is really close for me.

Pros: It does alot of stuff and keeps the office almost paperless. I like that it runs on "The Cloud." I will stick with this program more because I have not other choice. I put to much money in so far.

Cons: I just started my office from scratch and was looking for a good softwar program.I have read all the complaints and even 9 months later they are all still valid. I get dropped from the program constantly. The software is not complete and as such they do "Upgrades" that never work and shut down my office for at least half a day everytime, and then other parts of the software stop working. I always get the answering machine when I call for help and it has been two days since I last called for help with no response. I e-mail the president with concerns/complaints with no response, but he called and collected my money very fast. The "Virtual Educator" that is "free" I still have not gotten nor do I expect to. I am thinking of starting back up with the good old travel cards. I am just disappointed, but I have high hopes.

Overall: WAIT!!!! See what the finished product will look like, in what.......... maybe a few years.

Pros: None that stand out. EHR systems are so new that we don't have many to compare to. I think that cloud technology will be the way to go one day soon, but maybe not now.

Cons: Documentation program very weak. Cannot batch print notes. Daily note 2-3 pages long. No response other than lip service to correcting anything. Just now hiring more programmers. Should have been done a long time ago. Won't refund money. F grade with BBB. Using past success as a predictor of future. Using association with National associations to give impression of endorsement.

Overall: Stay totally away at this time. It may turn out to be a good program. There will be plenty of programs certified in near future. You can compare and contrast at that time. There is real possibility that it will be so difficult to get government money that you wont get it with any program. Some of you are already using software that will become certified and then you won't have to change.

Pros: This program has the potential to be great if it ever is completed and made functional. If completed, it will be easy to use and navigate and have good features.

Cons: It isn't done! There are problems with connectivity quite frequently which stops your business in it's tracks! You can't schedule, see notes, take notes, etc. We have lost new patients because they have called and we couldn't schedule them. The app sometimes work and sometimes don't. The billing app was promised in the fall, not even close to being done/usable. Exam section is so slow that you can sometimes fully adjust a patient before the screen changes! you don't have the ability to print any reports at all, no daysheets, statistics, etc. Support is lacking. When (or if) you get a response it is usually that they know there is a problem, however they have no idea when it will be fixed. You used to be able to call and get an answer and now you get to leave a message, which does you no good when you have patients standing in front of you wondering when they can schedule, etc. No compensation offered for lack of use or broken promises of functionality.

Overall: Do not buy at this time! The current users are funding the building of this program. I have concerns that this program will ever make it to completion. We have tried to only use the scheduling app and use the note taking for only certain insurances. We are now back to scheduling in the old book. keeping our fingers crossed that they will stop trying to get certification and work on fixing what they have! Not much longer and we will drop this program.

Pros: Clean look, automatic backing up. Accessible from any computer once you had a small program loaded on your pc. No servers necessary, unlimited users open at one time.

Cons: Don't know where to start. Program runs on a cloud, had major connection issues despite adding a 2nd internet connection to the office for computers only after they blamed my connection on my VOIP. We had both DSL and Cable and program was super slow and dropping me all the time especially during peak times when we needed it the most. Customer support never answered phone or emails (well 1 time they did). Lots of promises broken and very featureless at this point. They didn't and still dont I think have billing out yet. You still can't send claims to clearinghouses. Lots of sales tactics and changing their prices all the time.

Overall: I think by 2012 this program will be great, but the start of 2011 the program looked so glitchy and unstable that I had to leave. Support not up to snuff for their number of users. They would not give me a refund on their faulty system. Looks at Chirotouch, the program just destroys econnect and at $287 a month on lease for 4 years, worth every penny.

We're proud of the accolades our support staff receives from our thousands of users, and are sorry to hear that this doctor was disappointed. Pros: It is web-based so there is no need for a server, network or on-site backup.

Cons: eConnect is not complete. The billing portion was promised in September 2010 and is still not complete. The reviews listed on this site are misleading. eConnect was not even released when these were posted.
There is no option to work offline. If the internet is down, so is your ability to access records, schedule, billing and notes.

Overall: A good idea but I feel FutureHealth rushed the release and has been misleading about eConnect's functionality. There are a lot of issues that still need to be worked out.

Pros: I can't say enough good things about this package!
My clinic bought Microfour's Office suit for $7000.00. Believe me WHAT A NIGHTMARE! The Microfour is only designed to suck off money from you, every service call cost extra, they want to have $1600 for training or $260 an hour. Long story short, I spent about $10,000.00 and still, it never came to work since it was useless and horrible customer service. And now since I have the VOS I wanted to sell it for cheap and they told me that this would cost another 2500 on transfer fee!! WHAT A RIP OFF!
Aaron and the people from the FH team were very helpful and now I have a program that I understand, that works perfect for me and my staff. The Customer service is superb!

Pros: True Health Record. Company seems to be always improving.

Cons: If you have a problem, it is all but imposible to get FH to pick up the phone. Company was much more interested in helping prior to purchase. Similar complaints to any program that would make your office paperless-time consuming conversion but overall no choice. They have an auth code that they make you put in every few months. Time consuming and needless.

The maintenance fee is priced to reflect ongoing support and software upgrades. Our customers are not expected to pay for enhancements or upgrades, its all inclusive with their maintenance agreement. Pros: The software package is very complete and easy to customize to my needs. I feel that EHR/EMR are going to the rule instead of the exception very soon. The trend is in that direction. FHI is ahead of that trend from what I see. The support has been great. Updates are made regularly and they are open to suggestions. I think I have talked to 90% of the people in the company at one time or another. All have been very helpful and quick to help. They seem to be working hard to become a Certified EHR/EMR software package and that is going to be important.

Speed and accuracy are important in my note taking and FHI offers that.

Cons: There are some inconsistencies in how some of the screen present but I think this is in part do to some growing pains as changes have been made. I have brought these iusse to the Tech Support departments attention and some have been addressed.

Overall: I give FHI high marks. I have used some form of computer assisited note taking for 15 years or more. FHI is the most complete package I have used.

Pros: After teaching proper record keeping for over 25 years I couldn't be more happy with my VOS. It allows me to create a complete, comprehensive daily note in as little as 30 seconds, sometimes less. I find I can enter a complete new patient record in only a few minutes. I find the ability to customize the screens and thereby my notes to be exceptional. My staff are more than satisfied with the integration of the electronic health record and Intelligent Billing. Insurance billing time has dropped dramatically and revenue increased through using this system. On those few occasions when a glitch occurred it was addressed very quickly usually within the hour.

Pros: VOS has all of the features that we wanted and needed. It is convenient and has a great layout. It is user-friendly. All of the new employees we have hired have been able to adapt well to it and catch on quickly.
VOS contains all of the information we need.
I love that we can have webinars available to learn the features and that we can watch online training videos. Also, the instant chat tech support is a great feature as well.
It's also nice that it is constantly improving and that our suggestions are heard by the developers.
We love that when companies request our notes, all it takes is a push of a button. No more making copies, digging through files, wondering if they can read the doc's chicken scratch!
There are so many more great things, but I don't have enough characters left to write anymore!

Cons: The only con (which I'm sure is normal) was just getting used to switching from our old system to VOS. It took a bit of time but now things run like clockwork.

Dr. Smith's con on "not changing around the word on notes" relates to randomization. Our thought on randomization is that the doctor is creating the notes and is responsible for his dictation; it is not up to the software to change the wording so the note looks different.
