Pros
Donarius is very easy to use. Input the first three letters of a contributor's last name and it acceses the person. The weekly reports are exactly what I need to balance to the deposited amount.
Cons
Nuverb corrected the only problem I saw. It now wraps around multiple items on the same check to another line instead of truncating. Consequently this is now also a positive item.
Overall
Overall, I think this a very good system. I am very glad I chose it .

Easy to use even for those with limited computer experience. Priced very reasonably. Have had very few problems and those few have been quickly handled by Customer Service.
Cons
I really have nothing detrimental to say about the program.
Overall
My only experience is with a small congregation (under 100)
and would highly recommend it for that use.

Pros
Pledge amounts can be optionally pre-filled, saving lots of time and increasing accuracy. Setup and running reports are easy. Customer service has been excellent.
Cons
Documentation can be improved. Needs a glossary of terms to explain pledge periods, donar number, etc.
Overall
Donarius meets our needs for tracking our congregation's pledges and donations. It is a great value.

Pros
For years I kept track of contributions the same way as with the rest of our church finances... with Quicken. As our church grew that became less and less satisfactory and I looked for a separate program to track contributions. Mostly what I found were online services, which I wasn't interested in due to ongoing cost and requiring our money counters to have immediate and reliable access to a computer AND internet... which wasn't convenient in our situation. And the few standalone programs I found had not been updated for sometime.
Then I found Donarious. The price is quite reasonable, email queries are answered promptly, and it is fairly easy to use. It is amazing that at this price they offer not only a 1 year warranty, but offer to customize the program for your needs during that period!
It has saved me a lot of time, especially when generating receipts, which with my old system was labor intensive. Give it a try!
Cons
It has just a "name" field instead of separate fields for last name and first name. If all your donors have names like John Smith, then that is fine, but in our multi-cultural society, that causes complications. And it won't tolerate quotes in the names, so you can't get around it that way. The best solution I found, which is satisfactory, is to enter the names in LAST, FIRST format.
At least in the version I have, the pre-made receipts and some reports have a spot for a "check #", which is fine if you use that, but I don't take the time to enter it. Unfortunately, those pre-made receipts and reports then show "check #?" in each entry, which is kind of crude. No one sees the reports but me and I use custom receipts so it hasn't been an issue for me.
Overall
Nothing I looked at when I purchased this in early 2010 came close to Donarious for meeting my needs... and the price is great!
I highly recommend getting the optional module for customizing receipts. It is helpful if you have a little backround in software code or HTML writing (or have access to such a person) to create the receipt templates, but it is fairly flexible and I was able to come up with something I like. Once that is done, you don't have to revisit that issue again unless you change your mind about how you want it to look. During that first year, I believe they'll give you one free customized receipt done for you.
I tried the "relationships and families" option and didn't ultimately find it useful for our purposes. Your mileage may vary. Thus far, I haven't had any need for the other modules. I haven't used the email features yet, but I anticipate doing so in the future. Trying any or all of the optional modules is free and buying them is pretty cheap.

It is a wonderful way to keep up with your donors and the feature that accepts audomatic payments is wonderful.

We had an older version - so the reports would not allow us to track that many ministries - the new version will be so much better.

Pros
The program is easy to use and gives us everything we need with very little time invested. Monthly reports provide all the necessary information for the treasurer to complete his books. The year end tax receipts requires no more than a few selections with the mouse.
Cons
We are on version 2.50 and I'm hoping that a newer version will overcome some of my operational errors.

-Easy to set up and use, although I am very computer literate
-Haven't had any issue finding a way to track all of the church's donations
-Reports are easy to run
-Good customer service
Cons
-I think that someone who is unfamiliar with computers may have a difficult time with finding a way to track income that comes in sporadically AND is not part of the tax records (such as dividends that we get from stock shares)
-I may have to pay to upgrade after my laptop failed and the warranty had ended
-If the same donor gives more than one donation in one week, you have to add the total together instead of having it track each separate donation
Overall
We have a small congregation of less than 150 "regular givers" and use the software has adequately met our needs. If you have a large number of categories in which you want to place funds, it may get cumbersome.

Presents a logical progression and easy tracking of donations. Easy to add names of donors. Easy to set up categories for donations. Has several formats of reports.
Cons
Cannot 'hide' categories or names of donors not in use for current year.
Overall
User friendly and relatively easy to learn and use. Meets organizations needs to provide income tax receipts and track donations made and categories used.

Very easy to use. Provides easy reports as often as you need them. Blends nice with accounting software in that you can balance to totals in your formal accounting system. Provides excellent tax receipts at year end.
Cons
Posting envelope data as is often the case, funds will go in 2-3 directions. It would be good to be able to re-arrange the categories so they are lined up one after the other for the most frequently used with automatic transition to the next one.,
Overall
I would recommend the program to any church group and recently did to two churches in our community.

Pros
Donarius has proven to be much more user friendly than the previous product we used. It has been rock solid, with no corruption or data loss issues. The product support has always been same day in my experience
Cons
Still working on laying out and printing donation receipts, but this latest upgrade should take care of that. Have found the input screen to be a little cramped- again the latest release addresses that.
Overall
I would not hesitate to reccommend this product to any church considering a switch in their donation tracking software.

Our organization needed a simple program to record and report weekly church offerings. A big "pro" is that Donarius is exactly what we were looking for- easy to use, easy to customize to fit our exact needs and the price is right. Simply stated, "it works." The program is very stable and there are never any lockups or loss of data, as we experienced with other similar but more expensive programs. The biggest "pro," however, is the superb technical support. Every issue is addressed and every question gets answered until you, the customer, are satisfied. The program has been updated free-of-charge several times, each time to correct minor issues that users found.
Cons
I can't think of anything to put here.
Overall
Donarius is a simple to use, well-thought-out and masterfully designed piece of software. It was designed for regular people. You don't have to be a programmer to understand it and get it to do everything you need. Everyone in our organization loves it because it could be customized to fit our exact needs. It is such an improvement over the "big name" Church Management software that used to clutter up our offering computer and send us home every week with a headache. It's free to try- so try it. You'll know soon enough if Donarius is what you are looking for.

Very easy to install and use; Nuverbs system support is second to none. Nuverb will re-write the program if you suggest workable changes that will make it better. Then they will send the re-work out as an up-grade. How cool is that?
Entering is very quick and the available summary sheets are more than adequate to complete tax receipts and any year-end information that may be required.
Cons
Hard to find cons for a program that works as well as this.
Overall
Unless you need a program with all the whistles and bells, this has to be the best value envelope stewards program on the market.

We think Donarious has provided a customized software for churches to use at a reasonable price. They don't shy away from adding customer request upgrades with a qiuck turn around.
This program certainly beats enter by hand, listing cheques & balancing cash.
Cons
Some times things happen that we have no explanation for. Contact with Nu-verb solves this problem promptly

Pros
Very easy to use, reports are useful. Tax receipts feature works very well.
Cons
Would like some more reporting options. Would be nice to show both a cash donation and a cheque donation from the same donor on the same date.

Can, with password, prevent ENV# association with Name.

Donarius support readily accepts/implements requested changes.
Cons
Although the HELP feature is quite good, it could be better. -- better "search" findings.
The "Statistical reports" could offer more parameters.
Overall
Time has proven that we made the correct choice of Donarius. It is doing everything that we require and is easy to maintain both the database and the program itself.

Mail Merge Letter writing function is not very user friendly, but tech support is more than available to help work through the kinks.
