Pros: I am trying to find something good to say...umm it was easy to install and the Mediashout startup screen is pretty.

Cons: Hard to use, clunky, crashes often, not compatible with powerpoint as stated, not intuitive, cannot access help unless online (no help button), email help is slow, phone support only available during hours when no one is at church. Have to pay additional for any artwork, backgrounds. Powerpoint is 1000X better than this software.

Overall: none

Comments: I've had experience using several different media presentation software platforms, and Media Shout ranks right up there as one of the best. The user interface is good, though it does take some time to learn your way around. Overall, the software is reliable, which is extremely valuable on Sunday mornings during worship.

Comments: We've used MediaShout at our church for about 6 years now. We've been with it through multiple updates, and overall, I'd say the features and functionality are trending upwards. There is quite a learning curve on the software, mostly due to the quirky-feeling way of setting things up. Once you understand the process, setting up a show, or prepping for an event goes pretty smoothly. However, not everything is as intuitive as it could be. Overall, I'd recommend it for a medium sized church or presentation (100-300 people). Be sure to look up the community input when it comes to quirks or issues you aren't sure how to resolve. You'll probably be able to find more specific input regarding your unique situation through that route than through the official support.

Pros: Powerful software full of options and will work in whatever environment you throw it in.

Cons: All the features feel all thrown together and hard to find settings.

Overall: Mediashout is a great software! it has everything a projectionist needs plus more. There is alot of options and it kinda feels all thrown together. but it has the features and thats all I care about. haven't had any issues yet!

Recommendations to other buyers: if you are choosing between mediashout or easyworship- mediashout is the way to go!

Pros: Extensive features, does an adequate job for presentation needs for a church

Cons: Not a huge fan of the PC user interface, looks a little dated, had a few glitches with different features and functions

Overall: I had some brief experience using MediaShout with my church years ago. At the time, it was the only thing most churches used. During that time, I could see the benefits, but it was also at times buggy and confusing. Sometimes there were so many elements and features to it that I couldn't wrap my brain around it due to the way the interface was laid out. While I am comfortable on both a Mac and PC, my experience with MediaShout was on a PC, and I have very much come to appreciate the "Mac" look of most softwares these days and their ease of use and navigation of an interface, so I'm sure this had much to do with it. There were a few glitches and bugs when using MediaShout when updating some text and using different animations, but I guess that it to be expected, especially depending on how fast your computer processor is. Overall, I know MediaShout isn't going away anytime soon and many churches will continue to use it, but I look forward to someone that can develop church presentation software with a "Mac" look and interface.

Recommendations to other buyers: It's a solid choice for a church presentation software, but I hope one day someone comes out with a version that performs and looks like it was made for a Mac!
