Pros: Fairly intuitive

Cons: - Extremely poor customer service
- Non-existent customer success team
- Limited functionality
- Feature plans are meant to lock companies in, not value based

Overall: Spent 7 years working with Hubspot and finally had to leave after the being treated very poorly by the customer success manager. We've lost money and new opportunities because of this tool.

Comments: Before Hubspot, I used Percolate. I switched because of Hubspot's reporting abilities, campaign management, and tagging, and paid social media analytics were above and beyond. Beyond functionality, Hubspot's training courses are valuable to anyone in marketing. The courses go beyond regular tutorials, they delve deep into the tenets of inbound marketing and how you can apply them to your specific business. I've never had an issue with Hubspot being down - it is as reliable as they come. I really can't recommend these guys highly enough.

Overall: Right out of the gate, people will say that Hubspot is expensive. And it is. However for the services that it offers, the pricing is structured that separates the individuals that are serious about their business to the people that are just meandering.

Hubspot offers a full turn key web management solution, to include, Website, Sales, Marketing Automation, CRM, and as much reporting as you can handle.

The drawbacks are costs, on-boarding fee, annual contract, time commitment (are you really going to use all of these services?)

Overall if you have the budget and are looking for a one stop shop Hubspot would provide a viable solution.

Take advantage of the free trial and truly get a sense as to how this may help you achieve your sales and marketing initiatives.

Pros: Great ideas. Gteat organizational flow. Easy to use.

Cons: Buggy. Useless off line

Overall: A functioning CRM is crucial to my work and while Hubspot has a lot of potential, its simply not there yet. The more we used this, the more we noticed things that just weren't as good as they should be. Customer service is great, and I think they have a promising future if they fix some of the problems we noticed, but right now I can't sayI love this app, and I wish I could.

Pros: Ability to create lists, and workflows to streamline sales and marketing

Cons: It can be difficult to figure out how get some things to work but support is great and promptly answers questions.

Overall: Hubspot is a great tool for tracking and connecting with sales and marketing leads. Hubspot simplifies contact engagements by automating the sales workflow. You can easily create a workflow that engages with new leads automatically allowing you to focus on closing deals instead of spending so much time engaging customers directly. Hubspot tracks all of our website visits and graphs out our progress from the previous month. Overall I've found some things difficult to figure out but support is quick to reply to any tickets submitted and have been very helpful.

Recommendations to other buyers: Setup your workflows and make sure you are utilizing them to the fullest potential.

Comments: I can generally accomplish whatever it is I set out to do in HubSpot. It may take a bit of work, and I have sometimes had to search online for tips and tricks, or even contact support for assistance.... but in the end I have always been able to achieve with my website what it is I wanted to do. I'm not a web developer, so the tools offered by HubSpot really help me out a lot. The controls can be a bit fiddly. Editing one page may require going to three different places in the application, as well as several clicks and edits. Sometimes caching issues get in the way of seeing updates while I'm modifying my screens.

Pros: Easy to use and regroup all your contacts (inbound + outbound) on one single app.

Cons: It's quite expensive so make sure you really need it.

Overall: When I say small marketing teams, I really mean it. I am a one-person marketing team at my company, and HubSpot allows me to take care of the majority of my digital marketing needs in one place. I'm able to track inbound leads from website visits on the marketing side to sales correspondences on the CRM side. I have a technology background and previous experience with CRMs and CMSs, so I had a great experience onboarding. For someone who doesn't have the background, their onboarding can be a little rushed and incomplete, but there are a TON of resources available to help you with anything you need. If I ever do run into a problem or have a question on how to do something, their support staff is super responsive and friendly; my problem is always resolved. It is expensive, but we more than make up for the cost in inbound sales.

Overall: Hubspot is well known for inbound marketing - lead generation. The platform itself is good, solid and very intuitive. It's easy to create a campaign and to follow with the free CRM. You can see customer engagement thru the campaigns and how a lead campaign performs. The only problem is the price per register. Doesnt make any sense to pay for data that I don't know if I will use or not.

Recommendations to other buyers: it will be good to have some online marketing expert to implement the campaigns. The software without content and intelligence is nothing...

Good, but it comes with a price. And there are alternatives...

Comments: Hubspot is great, and so is their customer service. The enormous amount of background information is a great resource fore everyone who is getting into content marketing.
We used the Sales and CRM part quite a while and never considered the Marketing part due to its pricing. I state that the CRM is pretty good and intuitive end the sales functions work like a charm although they come with a certain price.

As an agency we work with several customers on a retainer base where the costs of the automated stack are part of the monthly budgets. Compared to our choice SharpSpring the Hubspot CRM is better without a doubt, but as said this comes with a price. So we combine SharpSpring and Pipedrive CRM in our stack (among some other tooling as well).

Overall: I found other software that does similar things for much cheaper. The email tracking is great but it didn't work for the construction industry leads as well as when I worked in real estate. I maybe should have considered not the pro plan for a cheaper price.

Pros: Easy to use, consistent interface across different functions, extensive educational material on how to get the most out of a marketing budget, frequent rollouts of product improvements & extensions.

Cons: Basic reporting isn't as fully functional as some tools - Reporting add-on might be, but we haven't needed to invest in it yet.

Overall: Our tech startup needed an effective way to gather and track leads, host our blog, organize our social media and email marketing campaigns, and gain insights into our website that complement the info available through Google Analytics. Hubspot does all of that and more, with a consistent, straightforward interface, an active community, and a responsive support team.

On top of all that, their Hubspot Academy material provides standalone value to anyone in marketing with an interest in learning more - so far I've gone through the Hubspot, Inbound and Content certification courses, and still go back to the videos for inspiration on how to improve our marketing results.

For those considering a purchase, I highly recommend doing the free trial and also running through the educational material. If it's a good fit for what you need to do, go for it!

Overall: I used to manage all my social media accounts individually. But, when that started taking up way too much time and I started losing the ability to respond quickly, I had to look for something better.

I started with the free version of HubSpot and it didn't take long to see I was ready to commit and pay. It's an easy way for me to monitor all my social channels and respond instantly. I also like having the ability to monitor other accounts, like my competitors.

HubSpot simplified my life and has cleared up a lot of time for me. The interface was a bit confusing at first, but it didn't take long for me to pick it up. Also, the tutorials were super helpful.

Comments: We're an Camping agency located in Croatia and we implemented HubSpot and Imbound Marketing methodology in our business since day one. The results (especially now, in the second year of business when we learned a lot about our visitor's and lead's behaviour) are staggering!Email marketing automation combined with sales activities (reengageing e-mail for the leads who still didn't book, for example) are returnig lots of traffic back to the website and we strategically funnel our visitors to the decision phase and the confirmation of booking.

Overall: HubSpot is an outstanding marketing automation tool that I would recommend to any small business owner like myself.

The HubSpot platform allows you to optimize your website for enhanced SEO, create an effective content marketing plan, develop CTA's and landing pages that convert website visitors to leads and manage the entire sales funnel within their built-in CRM (no real need for Salesforce.com)

HubSpot also has a world class customer support team that can help any business owner self-manage their marketing. They are almost like having your own virtual marketing team. I have never seen a more high quality group of customer service professionals.

Overall: We use HubSpot for our marketing lists and sync that with our Salesforce when the users make it to that part of the sales/customer process. HubSpot works well with how we market with our email list and our landing page strategy. It has helped us streamline a lot of our email work with its templates and easy-to-edit blog posts and emails. The landing pages are easy to track and help link our leads with who become customers further down the funnel. While some things on HubSpot require effort to learn, their certification process and the amount of helpful content they put out keeps me learning how to use it better and becoming a better marketer with a lot of the other tools I use.

Overall: I have been using hubspot at my current company for 2.5 years and we use salesforce and go to webinar as well. Overall: If you're not great with design or website design, their templates are amazing and easy to use. It's easy to type, create call-to-action buttons, and add images with a few clicks. It's also super easy to track results. When you dig into workflows and multi-level automation, things can get a little tricky, but their support has always been quick to respond and help via phone or email.
The social media integration is pretty good--makes it easy to schedule posts and cross-post to multiple sites.
I haven't had the chance to use their "Smart" tools that customize landing pages and emails based on user behavior, but I'd really like to try it in the future.

Comments: We've been a HubSpot customer for 6+ years, and a HubSpot partner for slightly less time. We became a customer because we were desperately looking for ways to pull our business out of the Great Recession, and HubSpot was part of the answer. But an even bigger solution was becoming a partner and fully committing to inbound marketing as our core identity.
Since 2011, we've grown and advanced with HubSpot, and it's been a wonderful, rich, experience. The product itself continues to evolve, at times at amazing speed. And the company (HubSpot ) also continues to grow and evolve, and they have made this chapter of my business life the most fun I've ever had in business. And I've been at it since 1982!
Today, every one of our 25 associates is HubSpot certified, even our business manager/accountant! We even require candidates applying for positions to get inbound certified before they interview. The inbound movement, thanks to HubSpot, has become part of our cultural foundation.
I would wholeheartedly endorse both the product, for the incredible platform it is, and the company, for the true partner they are.

I can't imagine my life without HubSpot!

Cons: Not necessarily a con, but to implement a quality CRM and Marketing solution it takes time. Thankfully, Hubspot is there to help you along at every step of the journey. Make the most out of your time with the Hubspot team by implementing action items between calls - not during. As we discussed inbound strategies with Brittany, our dedicated Implementation Specialist at Hubspot, we made a point to put those items into action before the next scheduled phone call. This not only allowed us to review and tweak our own strategies, rather than discuss the specifics of general implementation, but we ended up with more time to discuss strategy and big-picture initiatives.

Overall: Hubspot is more than just a great sales and marketing software platform, it's a solution surrounded by the greatest knowledge sales and marketing hub (Hubspot Academy) and by the smartest and most helpful implementation, account manager, and support people in the business.

Implementing Hubspot was the One-Two Punch our business needed. It aligned our sales and marketing efforts and delivers detailed sales and marketing metrics. We now have the needed information to manage the growth and success of our business thanks to Hubspot.

Comments: I've worked with a variety of marketing automation tools and Hubspot blows all of them out of the water. It is relatively intuitive to use, unlike any platform on the market that requires trained technical experts to man. Pros: I love the automation you can do with marketing as well as you can really see the true ROI your marketing efforts have.

Cons: It can get pricy if you have a fairly large database of leads and clients. You get 1k contacts in your base payment and then they charge 100/mo for every addition 1k contacts.

Overall: We have used Hubspot for almost 3 yrs and greatly enjoy it. Before we started using Hubspot we where not Inbound with our marketing at all. By incorporating Hubspot and it inbound methodology we have increased the number of clients as well as made an easier onboarding experience for our clients. Pros: 1. All marketing automation and CRM functionality in one software and no need for assembling the software stack for several vendors. 2. Good instructions and content which helps you the be pro in using the software and in inbound marketing. 3. Excellent support.

Cons: Hubspot is one of the most expensive software in the market. Especially if you want to have the advanced features (marketing automation, A/B-testing) of the software.

Overall: We are 5-person startup. We have used Hubspot Basic now 1 1/2 years. We have slowly increased the amount of content in the tool and have been able to attract increasing numbers of customers with inbound marketing.
I'm very pleased with the all-in-one approach where everything you need for digital marketing is in one software. I value as well the high quality content (blogs, ebooks, academy...) that Hubspot produces for general public and for their customers. I have found many valuable tips and tricks from their content.
If you want to use the latest and greatest of digital marketing, you probably have to assemble your software stack from several components. But if you are willing to wait for a while, you can see new features being added to Hubspot after the new concept has been tested and found useful in the market. One example of this Lead Flows (conversion pop-ups) which has been in the tool for a year.

Recommendations to other buyers: You and the key players in your organization should learn the big picture regarding Inbound marketing from Hubspot Academy before buying the software. I see many organizations using only 50 % of the software and getting only 25 % of the benefits because they do not understand the whole concept.

Comments: We are currently using the free version of HubSpot. This program has really helped me to streamline my sales and marketing process. It does not offer the reminders and similar things to other CRMs I have used in the past, but the templates and format is a very high value -- especially at no charge.

Overall: I learned more from HubSpot than I did in many years of formal marketing training. It's a great product and I still follow the blog. HubSpot is expensive, but worth it, especially when used as a training tool.

Comments: I can generally accomplish whatever it is I set out to do in HubSpot. It may take a bit of work, and I have sometimes had to search online for tips and tricks, or even contact support for assistance.... but in the end I have always been able to achieve with my website what it is I wanted to do. I'm not a web developer, so the tools offered by HubSpot really help me out a lot.

Overall: This is a difficult review to write, because I really admire HubSpot as a company. But after using the product for a while and really getting hands-on, it just fails to live up to the hype. For the price, there are just other tools out there that can do a better job in each of the core areas that HubSpot tries to manage, for a lot less. HubSpot feels like a jack-of-all-trades, but master of none. Maybe that's a good fit for a company that is looking for an all-in-one solution, but for the price you're going to pay for HubSpot, it would still probably be better to consider building your own marketing stack. One thing about HubSpot that is nice is the fact that all of the data within your system talks to each other. That is helpful, but not a game changer on its own. When you start digging down to the individual components, they all feel kinda watered down. Take the email functionality for instance. It can get the job done, but it is a bit clunky to use, especially if you're trying to set up complex automations or workflows. HubSpot does have friendly support, and they usually solve any issues on the first attempt, which is nice. Again, it all comes down to your needs, your budget, and what your priorities are (ease-of-use vs. maximum customization).

Comments: This is a great tool... or seems like it is. I have to admit, I got the premium deluxe over-the-top attention when they were working to sell us on using it. But, then, it kinda fell by the wayside and we didn't really get that same dedication from their team and then we kind of allowed it to fall apart from there. So, partially on us...but that warm feeling kinda fell away too.

Comments: I just started integrating with this CRM. Read some reviews first and decided on Hubspot. So far once you get all of your clients uploaded it has a ton of great features. But...Im not crazy about the upload experience. You either have to upload contact or organizations then connect the 2. It is very time consuming. In my industry they are one in the same. It also autofills the company name if there is an email associated in the company upload that in some cases doesn't match the company in which I want to be the name in the file.

Comments: My boss found this company and expressed interest to me about using it. I visited their site and found their lessons easy to follow and the tests for certification pretty good. Not too easy or too hard to pass. The things I learned from the programs (like email marketing) were very intuitive and insightful.

Comments: we were referred to hubspot from a friend of ours who also runs a small business and has more experience with CRM systems, we have tried a few of them in the past but they were too complicated, we recently started using/testing hubspot and so far the response from our sales team has been good, they can manage the platform themselves and manage the process of importing leads on their own as well. the platform is flexible enough, however we will know more in the next few weeks if this would be a good solution for us long term. so far so good, we really like the option to be able to connect an email marketing process with the leads which makes the marketing process a lot easier for us as well.

Overall: I have used Salesforce, Zoho and other CRMs and honestly Hubspot is the easiest and most clean interface out of all of them. I would highly recommend giving it a try. Adding contacts and keeping track of them is super easy. You can just type in a domain name and it auto fills in the details of the company to help you get organized. You can also live-edit the properties of each contact without having to load an additional page or click save. Which makes the CRM much faster to use and keep organized.
