Comments: I can see why it's the most popular CRM, but after using Salesforce for a while, you definitely start seeing its limitations. There are certain features (like importing more than 50,000 contacts at one time, or adding all members of a report to a campaign) that should be implemented by now but have not been.

Comments: We are a franchise location. The HQ uses this platform for our client management, document management and sharing of information between franchise locations. The ap has tons of functionality and thousands of bells and whistles so it's not the simplist thing to figure out. The uptime is great. It has never been down when I've needed it.

Pros: It has so much functionality buit in. It pretty much runs our whole business platform. Also, it is very reliable and has I have not experienced one minute of downtime in the whole year we have been using it.

Cons: When you use the software from a tablet or iphone device, it always prompts you to put in a security code which is sent to the users main mobile phone. This is sometimes irritating and I wish it recognized the device or the IP address and didn't do this all the time.

Comments: Omg I sell things online via eBay and it is so hard for me to keep track of what sells when, this mighty software helps me keep my inventory current so I don't end up buying things that don't sell. The graphs are so easy to understand and and inputting info is a breeze.

Comments: Less features for a lower cost. I used the platform for coaching and monitoring calls. Almost go lost.

Pros: Extremely rich platform with lots of features if you have the time and patience to learn which my business didn't need.

Cons: Stiff learning curve. Didn't need all the extra features for my business. Lower the price and less features.

Recommendations to other buyers: Start out with a "basic" program with an initial cost. Offer the extra features on an updated "plus" version.

Comments: This system was good for extracting information but the loading of the information was hard and repetitive sometimes. Now it has been 5 years since I first used it but I have been told it have not changed much.

Pros: if basic information could be uploaded I might have been more open to the system

Comments: Lots of effort got reduced by using this. Made job easy while integrating with Sitecore sales deals. Being very clear about everything that's happened into it and what needs to happen next so my application stays very much user friendly.

Pros: Very user friendly with great feature. There is opportunity to configure and customize as much as you needed to make your application or your project specific to business requirements.

Cons: Handling certification is like kind of challenge. It can be a challenge to implement a model across all areas of the business that maintain the integrity of good data vs the flexibility needed across different user roles.

Comments: I think it is no surprise when I say that Salesforce.com is the best web-based software I have ever used. It just includes everything that you need for satisfied customers, marketing and sales. My favourite feature, even though it is nothing special is Chatter. It provides real-time alerts and collaboration between my team and it is just perfect. Overall, we were thrilled with the features and the tools of Salesforce.com.

Pros: Chatter Employees have the opportunity to view another colleague¿s profile

Cons: The results that Radian6 gives me are sometimes too much spam results

Comments: Salesforce is a good reporting and invoicing tool. It also allows us to use it as a reporting tool when it comes to customer satisfaction for certain projects. It's good to have everything integrated in one place and a clear log of all the billed jobs for each project, as well as upcoming ones.

Comments: 1)I use SFDC at least half the day. It is a great tool with contact Management. It makes sales easier to keep up with. I like being able to import other applications in as well.
2)Salesforce puts all of your marketing needs in one easy place. You login and can view and update leads, campaigns, contacts, etc. It's a great way to keep track of potential sales leads.
3)The flexibility of Salesforce has allowed us to completely customize it to our orgs needs without needing to hire an outside firm. There is an incredible amount of support through documentations, support forums, and use case presentations.

Pros: Salesforce is an ecosystem solution to your company's marketing, sales and support efforts. There is opportunity to configure and customize as much as you needed to make it work for your specific business model. Very important is a thoughtful implementation, I've seen stellar implementations and terrible setups, the difference is not only in my day to day management, but managing long term growth of products

Cons: Structural changes are made higher up or with a technical person sometimes and if you don't consult the end user you can make it very difficult for those teams to maintain efficiency in their process. A number of settings can be intimidating to newer users. Some are easy and straight forward to customize to your organization's needs, while other require a deep dive into documentation.

Recommendations to other buyers: As a group of non-profit volunteers, Salesforce has allowed us to automate a significant amount of our data collection and reporting, putting more time back in the hands of our volunteers.

Comments: They are an old platform. Everyone uses them BUT they are by no means the best product. They are good in the sense that a huge company can build a lot of features on top of their CRM but they are not easy to use out of the box and take a lot of learning. There are also many better products especially fro startups and companies that don't need the customization. They are also super expensive compared to other companies.

Comments: This is a very sophisticated product. They have a great attitude towards nonprofits and are there to help. However, this is an enterprise application that is highly customizable. For our small nonprofit it is just too much for us to handle.

Cons: It is highly customizable and that requires trained staff. My nonprofit does not have trained staff. It's too much for us. Sorry to say because I love the app and the company that makes it.

Comments: During my time of use my experience using the software was not of the greatest. After contacting their customer service department multiple times to request help with software setup and use as well as technical issues we were having involving the software. We were informed Salesforce was undergoing an ownership change. This was the reason why at the time our system was experiencing issues.
During conversations, I have had with my colleagues of other businesses I have discovered they are more than happy with the salesforce platform. Due to the size of our business NOW we do not find a need to utilize the salesforce software. Pricing simply does not justify.

Pros: Lead tracking.

Comments: Salesforce is great for its open-ended nature - essentially with the right resources, you can make it be just about anything you want it to be. You'll need a Salesforce engineer for anything beyond the basic CRM scope. The product can be a bit convoluted, so if you're looking for a basic small business CRM this may not be the one for you, but it does leave plenty of room for future growth & changes.

Comments: Personally I find the challenges invigorating. I love coding in Salesforce. It's a unique environment that presents its own set of challenges, but I find that the challenges are worth it because it provides an extension to what is truly an innovative platform. The strengths of Salesforce are not in Apex and Visualforce--I think if you look at it that way, you're missing the whole picture. The reason it's awesome is because your code extends a platform that already does SO much SO quickly.

Pros: amazing console for future development

Cons: hard to get setup

Comments: I've used Salesforce in some capacity over the past 3 years.

Overall, I like the product and - once you get familiar with it - it works well. However, the customization for reports is a bit limited by SalesForce rules and the user friendliness of the system is not perfect.

Again, I am satisfied using it, but I think that building new instances should come with a bit more customization.

Pros: It is consistent, and there is an ability to set custom fields as required (making reporting capabilities easier).

Cons: Lots of text only boxes (challenges reporting). Busy pages/user friendliness not the highest point.

Comments: Salesforce.com is used our Sales and Marketing departments. The software is well designed, replaced several databases, and it's helpful to have everything centrally located and available. The AMs can access every account, view history, notes, communications and contacts.

Pros: Workflow is easy to build and easy to implement; Pipe management for sales reps; and Keeping track of events, tasks, and calls. This allows people in company to see what is schedule and what has been done so its not repeated or something is not missed.

Cons: Dashboard and Reporting mods are limited.

It does not appear to be intuitive, and it is very easy to make a mistake and not know about the mistake until you run a report. Comments: I've used many other CRM's / Sales management tools in my career and Salesforce is by far the best. I think their long term vision is great. SalesForce really understands the importance of cross-functional integration and data sharing. We also love the app marketplace as it has allowed us to add of bits of incremental functionality where needed.

Pros: Very flexible. API's into other systems. Great development community and expertise.

Cons: We're in Canada and our licenses are in US funds. This can make it tough to budget for this tool.

Comments: The software is great for coordination, tracking activity, tracking leads, reminders for follow-ups, and most everything you would ever want from a CRM. The platform is very expensive to use all the features that are typically in a homegrown system or a design from the ground up.

Salesforce does not work with you on implementing customization rather they rely on recommended third party contractors for this work. This is costly and can cause problems with implementation. Salesforce does not fully support the contractor, meaning that Salesforce is completely out of the loop on happenings with you and your contractor.

Being out of the box, you will have to customize the product as you need. There is a learning how to customize, so the more familiarity with database work the easier. However, some of the easier customizations are intuitive. Be careful, the less you pay, the less flexibility you will have.

The smaller the company the more expensive this tool will be without somebody on staff who knows the ins and outs of the software. Overall the software is a really powerful tool that can help improve your sales performance. Just know up front that you will spend a lot of time and resources on getting the product to be what you need.

Pros: This is a very powerful tool and has many options for usage much like SAP. Awesome relationship style connections that allow keeping everybody in the loop. Easy for end users to use.

Cons: Difficult to implement the way you want the software to work. Costs a lot of money and time for customizations.

Recommendations to other buyers: Beware that Salesforce does not help you customize. You will need to work with a 3rd party contractor and we are on our 3rd contractor in 2 years.

Pros: I like the ability to input the data you need to keep track of easily and also make changes to the data when need with ease.

Cons: I have never had any issues with this software that would be related to technical issues. The only problems were user errors and once I learned the software it was smooth sailing!

Comments: As a Software developer working in the e-commerce and e-business management area, I can tell how effective is this tool.

It helps to improve almost any team business logic; focused in the team member in each project and how to manage them.

Talking about technology, it is always ahead and continuously updating its features, searching with a better connectivity and access.

Its developer background is really powerful too, allowing developers to add custom functionalities and apps from the SalesForce market to extend it even more.

Talking about third party connectivity, they have a very secure core that it is always under renovation, but is still easy to access via Web Services.

Pros: Really powerful development system that combines Database, Business and UI logic in the same language.

Recommendations to other buyers: The test account that SaleForce offers is really helpful for learning purposes because include all the functionalities of a real account.

Comments: easy to use, easy to integrate - simply works across multiple platforms.
Although at the time more expensive, it is a fully working solution which integrates across multiple platforms with full functionality (mobile phone including contacts, email and computer).

Pros: Easy to set up for an individual through to enterprise Has essential functionality for company (for ex groups) and client (who is decision maker) hierarchy (mother daughter) Can integrate with clients

Comments: I use Salesforce almost every single day and the ease of use makes it an incredible product. The creating list, researching customers, and keeping track of conversations is easy with Salesforce. The only downside is sometimes when trying to mark someone in a 'special' category, it can be easily overlooked. Color coding inside of a contact personal information would be highly useful.

Pros: The ease of use and how easy it is to create lists.

Cons: There isn't a good systematic way to separate different people or when you look right at the contact info if there was a color coding system for 'special' customers to stand out, that would be great.

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall it's a great product and I use it often but not too into detail but I like it for easy customer research!

Comments: We implemented Salesforce in 2014. You don't know what you don't know, so we've found that we struggle to make Salesforce work for us, rather we work for it. We are constantly working to make the ease of use better and to apply systems that make sense. It seems to be a never-ending battle - however, we do use an LPL Overlay with our Salesforce. This I believe is part of our struggles as well. There are certain functions that we can't use or items we can't move. We do not plan on moving away from Salesforce, only working to make it better!

Pros: The functionality it offers - if only we knew all it's abilities!

Cons: We struggle to make it do what we need it to do for our business. It's a great program - but I think we need to change ourselves to work best with it. Double records are a struggle as well. When we upload lists into Salesforce, doubles are created due to multiple email addresses.

Recommendations to other buyers: TRAIN TRAIN and more training! There are so many functions that you don't know about until you are struggling to make it work and find out there was a simple solution, to begin with! Utilize the technicians at Salesforce Support or hire an outside consultant to better your experience.

Comments: SFDC is by far the best CRM on the market but the cost of custom developers and trying to get SF to morph their platform to specific needs is tough but overall a great product and I recommend for everyone in sales to use

Comments: We just started using it for a new initiative at our company and it is working very well. Once set up it provides a lot of great, easy to use functionality.

Pros: Feature-rich and easy to use once you take the time to set up properly for your business. Greatly improves productivity when used correctly.

Cons: The feature-rich environment takes a bunch of effort to set up, but that is to be expected. Not a real con, but it will take some time.

Comments: I have been using SalesForce for many years. I appreciate all of the user interface features where I can delve deeper into reporting; finding a needle in a haystack is easy. I use SalesForce at work and would highly recommend this product to anyone organization.

Pros: Many many many ways to organize statistics and reports. It is comprehensive and intuitive without all the fancy colors to distract from production.

Cons: There is really not much to comment here as I utilize so many of the features, it is worth the cost.

Recommendations to other buyers: Most of the competitors are doing the same things SalesForce is but with some twists to the user interface. However, my job becomes easier each and every time a new enhancement is updated into the product.
