Comments: it is easy to setup there is a limitation on the layouts you can make without code. It means some flexibility that people expect in page layouts like how fields are next to each other cannot be done without code.Runs fast and very good support. For me it is very excelent

Cons: The platform is fantastic for sales, services, and finance etc. teams to share data. The problem is when a company makes changes to their unique instance of SFDC and doesn't first consult the teams that actually use the tool about the changes. Structural changes are made higher up or with a technical person sometimes and if you don't consult the end user you can make it very difficult for those teams to maintain efficiency in their process.

Overall: Good CRM to be used by most IT departments in any industry.ease Of Use, tracking of all data.
Integrated with a number of third party tools which provides a lot of functionality.

Comments: Fairly easy to use, sometimes there are little bugs or issues where is it clearly an error or not working as designed. Some reports take a long time to run. Wish we could customize in Manage Workflow by requisition.

Pros: Ease of use and the reports that can be generated.

Cons: Sometimes working with split entrees can be frustrating.

Overall: Quickbooks is an excellent product if your current software does not have a book keeping slot. It is easy to use, slight learning curve and the yearly updates always bring newly requested additions from subscribers.

Comments: Saleforces is always praised as the end-all-be all or Client Relation. The UI is ugly and difficult to use. Their support is minimal to non existent. Training on it takes months (but is more realistically given up on before understanding how to optimize it's use).

Saleforce is great at gathering data, but awful at sharing that data back to you, and that is 90% due to crumby UI. Salesforce is in a constant state of back peddling. They know how to launch features, but not deliver on them. For this reason, you will constantly hear people say "it integrates with everything" or " I know it can do more, it's just card to learn..."

This may be my opinion, but if I didn't know how to find the brakes in my car, when all other cars have it next to the gas, then the car might as well not have brakes. I don't care if the care has awesome stereo options, MY CAR NEEDS BRAKES!

Comments: Salesforce has been a fantastic way for our team to track which customers are paying us, what upsell opportunities exist for these customers, and to easily figure out our customers needs based upon their ecosystem affiliation.

The UI was super confusing at first, with so many different things to click on and learn about. Honestly, the first two months I constantly felt like giving up because I didn't feel as if I was adequately learning how to use the software. The paradigm shift happened when I realized that Salesforce was supplementing my ability to help paying customers and allowed for me to track upsell opportunities. Once I stopped focusing on Salesforce interrupting my current workflow and began focusing on it as a supplement to my workflow, the burden lifted and I was able to more easily learn on the fly.

Overall, I'm very glad that my team uses Salesforce (we previously used Base) because it affords every team in our company to stay on the same page for various customers and to integrate with various softwares we use.

Comments: I use it in an almost daily basis. Even though I am not from Sales, this software provides good reference for many departments on customer and lead information. However, I don't find it very easy to use, features and settings are often hidden in non-intuitive menu items. The new layout / version is even more counter intuitive so I use the classic mode.
I wish there were more help items and explanations on how to do some things directly on the pages, and also some free video trainings.
Also, reports are not too hard to build, but could be easier. And there are reports that literally cannot be created (even though you have the information) because they don't fit one of the report categories.

Comments: I'm using Salesforce for case management, and it works really well. However, when we wish to configure our tenant, it's unnecessarily complicated. Setting up a custom domain should be easy, but the documentation is very unclear as how to complete that functionality.

Pros: Ease of use and easy to learn. Friendly user interface. Require less skills to setup the templates, report. Comply with E2E process setup. Drag and drop options instead of coding for beginners.

Cons: Some complex requirement need complex setup or sometimes not possible to setup as required.
Only one or two layers of conditions will work better. Do not have API to connect to other apps. Only HTML code available to use.

Overall: I have been deployed Salesforce on the Ticket handling module at my company. My work objective was to review current workflow of Customer support team and to apply them with Salesforce. My jobs is to talk with SF implementor team with the workflow design, requires fields, SLA conditions. Found out this tool is very flexible to the need of workers.

Recommendations to other buyers: if your workflow not so much complex. This tool can answer your basic and intermediate needs to run business. Especially good with Sales module in case you need to track sales pipeline. This one is the best tool available in the cloud app market.

Comments: If you need the king of the hill, this CRM is the undisputed leader in this space. SF spans the gap from small business to true enterprise with its incredible ability to customize its options, integrations and advanced reporting. Only complaint is the the setup can be lengthy and not something you can just instantly pick up and use. It will take some time and energy to get going.

Cons: Limited configurability without code.

Overall: We started out small with Salesforce, using it for a small group of our employees, when we rolled it out to more people people liked the fast and easy nature of the app. It was like any other web application they were used to. Our old application was on premises and slow to load due to its aging code and hardware requirements.

With the interface easy to customize and deploy out to users people are seeing their input made into action without delays of code testing. While it is easy to setup there is a limitation on the layouts you can make without code. It means some flexibility that people expect in page layouts like how fields are next to each other cannot be done without code.

It is not cheap for space but runs fast and very good support.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try it out in a dev org before starting. Know the limits.

Overall: We have been using Salesforce for a little over 8 years now. I am the administrator and we have about 25 seats on the Enterprise license. The flexibility to create individual user dashboards, customize them to run on a schedule/email to users and to create/configure custom fields is unsurpassed. If you have the need and can get by the price it is well worth it.

Comments: I have never studied anything business, so when I started this job, I was lost. My boss is a great guy and I am thankful for the opportunity, but sometimes when he brought things to me, I was totally lost at what to do. Comments: Salesforce Marketing Cloud is clearly not just an email distribution platform. Through the use of various partner integrations and a suite of "studios", the Marketing Cloud package encompasses multi-channel opportunities to reach your audience, as well as the tools with which to do so in a thoughtful, defined marketing approach. To be sure, it's pricey. But the value is in the abundance of features and exceptional technical support.

Comments: My favorite feature about Salesforce is the ability to create customizable reports with all the information available in Salesforce. Being able to customize the interface to suit individual needs is also extremely convenient (e.g., setting different statuses for record, sending automated emails based on the status, receiving email alerts, and so on). I really like Salesforce!

Comments: Salesforce gets the job done. It has everything you'd need from a CRM and makes it easy to generate custom reports. The only issue is it's interface. Could be cleaner and easier to use, but once you learn how to navigate, it's a useful tool. I'm not involved with the financials so am unsure of the value for money. Have also never spoken to customer service.

Comments: I am a huge fan of Salesforce - both as a user and an admin. Its flexibility and hundreds of add-ins make it invaluable in our organization. Although I do find some admin tasks to be tedious and repetitive, where efficiencies can be made, most of the system is very simple yet robust in its functionality.

Comments: While looking at solutions that allowed us to get a CRM system off of the ground pretty quickly, and still give us the flexibility to adapt it to our internal workflows, Salesforce was the best solution we had found. Using their enterprise API, connecting with their wsdl soap services from a .Net application was a breeze. Very intuitive interface allowed us to make changes to the forms, and fields, and even apply triggers for certain workflows. This quickly pays for itself when you compare to how much a development team would cost to maintain and customize it.

Comments: Salesforce has helped streamline almost every aspect of our business. All areas of our company now get email updates showing the status of deals, which eliminates confusion and communication problems. Comments: I have used Salesforce as a CRM for a number of years. Almost everything you look at can be customized, it can handle the sales flow well. Some of the customization comes at a bit of a user experience cost.

Recommendations to other buyers: Talk to a consultant or someone experienced about Salesforce when you first dive in. There are many ways to set it up and it is good to find out best practices.

Pros: loads of options, good system for billing, keeping notes, assigning things to a large team and creating accountability.

Cons: costs. Some things need to be customized so you need someone who knows how to do it.

Overall: My company used this software for a long time. It became very expensive because each user needs to pay for the account. As the company grew we were adding money all the time. On the other hand, has great features like tagging people, storing important info, billing integration and more. You will probably need a programmer to customize it for you depending on your company needs. If money is no object, go for it.

Comments: The Salesforce platform is highly customizable and extremely flexible in serving the needs of basically any type of client solution. As a client user myself, I'm impressed by how many components of the platform can be customized and modified to fit our needs -- one of the best features is the Query function which allows us to run a query on mostly any data table found in the platform. We are therefore not beholden to a specific data import/export structure in order to set up data the way we need, which makes email deployment and connection with other channels (e.g. Social Studio) very easy. We hesitate at the long time it takes for the Salesforce tech teams to implement features that are requested and that would help us (e.g. Send Time Optimization which will allow us to send an email to a subscriber at their ideal time of open), but overall the existing solutions are great for advanced users, i.e. the client really needs a team member or group that's adept enough to mine through all of the data setup options (with SF's support) and choose the right structure to meet specific needs.

Comments: It's fine. It's really not intuitive or amazing in any way, but framed after a database. The UI could use a lot of work (including Lightning). I like it, I use it, but the reason Salesforce has any value is the integrations, not the UI.

Comments: If you are a large company with 500+ users I guess Salesforce is the way to go, if you are small or mid size try something like Nutshell CRM. Going with a smaller vendor has great advantages as they can push out updates a LOT quicker and have a smaller team that can make snap decisions on what's important while taking user feedback into account. I know it's trendy to always say "the user doesn't know what they want" but as someone who also works in enterprise software I find the real answer is more "they don't know how to explain what they want". A well run CRM tool will find out what the user wants.

The person who is CEO of your CRM actually affects you a lot too. Do you really think Benioff downloads random apps that don't affect his life? I know I do, because I'm very interested in seeing everything from login screens of new apps, swipe movements, menu drop downs, etc. I want to see it all and learn from it so that I myself can help make better applications. Salesforce...

Comments: I can barely being to talk about how bad Salesforce is. I understand they were once the leaders in CRM software (sorry "web application" ) but it's become a bloated mess that reminds me of Yahoo. It's not intuitive, they do not keep up to date with web standards and the interface is just a nightmare. You don't know how bad it is until you use a website with an intuitive interface that doesn't make you click half a dozen times just to get to an edit screen. We used Salesforce for 6 years and I always think about where we would be at if we had used a CRM tool that actually excited us. I'm so glad we've made the switch to a more modern CRM that actually tries to make sure you are spending no more than the time necessary on the site to get things done. I found Salesforce to be demoralizing for our sales team. The stupid Outlook plugin would crash all the time and we'd have to get someone to troubleshoot it just to be able to send an email that goes directly into Salesforce. Not sure why...

Comments: The platform is fantastic for sales, services, and finance etc. teams to share data. The problem is when a company makes changes to their unique instance of SFDC and doesn't first consult the teams that actually use the tool about the changes. Structural changes are made higher up or with a technical person sometimes and if you don't consult the end user you can make it very difficult for those teams to maintain efficiency in their process.

Comments: We use salesforce with an app (Skuid) on top and that's the only way I would want to use Salesforce. Skuid makes it much easier to use, but I may be biased!

Comments: I used to use this software in my previous position and I love it. It's more reliable than Raiser's Edge. It's more modern, user friendly and more efficient with its data.

Recommendations to other buyers: There are a lot of YouTube and other free videos online. Support is also very helpful.

Comments: I signed up for this because i wanted a way to get leads and storm them inside the CRM. I had a bit of difficulty navigating on my own. I had to call customer service for assistance but they where really nice and helpful.

Comments: I have been using Salesforce now for about 5 years and nothing else compares!

They are the leader in the space because they can do so much! Implementation and training new users is the only issues I have encountered and thats just because the software is so vast!

Comments: Salesforce is the best CRM option. If you use another CRM, you'll eventually mature to the point where you need Salesforce anyway and you'll have to go through a painful transition. But Salesforce is valuable insofar as the resources you put into developing the features you want. Be prepared to put a lot of time and energy into it.

Comments: This is the best sales/engineering reporting tool that we have used. It allows us to forecast accurately and plan our engineering project pipeline.

Comments: We decided to give salesforce a try recently, however the on-boarding process to get everything setup and maintain it on a on-going basis almost takes a dedicated resource, also the learning curve is pretty long, so if the sales team is not already familiar with how salesforce works it could be a challenge get it rolled out to begin with, also the fact that you have to sign up for a minimum 1 year contract to do anything was the biggest issue, this is not for a small business for sure and there are a lot of other options to consider.

Comments: For a small to mid-size business, I suppose using Salesforce makes it sound like you are in the big leagues. If you've got the cash to spend, you can hire a consultant to implement Salesforce for you. This is probably a good and bad thing

Comments: I've used other CRM software, and Salesforce is definitely my top choice. Although it is very pricey, Salesforce organizes sales leads in a clear and concise manner, and it makes it easy to track the progress of various sales pipelines. Comments: Salesforce is a simple system that allows you to do any order entry input and stock check by just a few clicks. It doesn't take an expert to navigate this system. It is pretty much user friendly and will help guide you thru the system without knowing much about it. It will offer you info on stock, AP, AR, orders etc. It is internet driven so it is simple get on and off the system without having a ton of log ins. If you are looking for a basic system that is easy to maintain, I would def go with Salesforce.
