Mob4Hire.com hires industry veteran Stephen King to scale operations to take advantage of global opportunity
Calgary, Alberta, Canada (PRWEB) November 20, 2008 -- Mob4Hire Inc., the leader in crowd sourced mobile application testing and virtual market research, today announced the appointment of Stephen King as it's Chief Executive Officer.
King was most recently the CMO of Curve Dental in Calgary, a leader in North American SaaS dental billing and clinical web-based software solutions.
Prior to that appointment, he was with Edmonton's Intuit Canada for seven years, first as the leader of it's professional tax and ProAdvisor accountant division, and more recently as VP, Sales and Marketing for Quicktax, Quickbooks, Quicken, and ProFile software brands across retail, eCommerce, inside/outside and partner sales channels. In addition to serving on the senior executive team in Canada, King was a Director of Mountainview based Intuit Inc. U.S., and helped form it's social networking and online customer community strategy in 2005.
King co-founded Greenpoint Software in 1995, which became a professional tax software leader in Canada and was acquired by Intuit in 2000. Prior to Greenpoint, he was VP, Software Development for Cantax Corporation, a consumer tax subsidiary of Softkey Software.
"Mob4Hire is positioned for tremendous growth. The mobile application industry is exploding from 100,000 developers to 400,000 in 2013, driven in part by companies like RIM, Nokia, Apple and Google collectively forming $360 million developer venture capital funds, " states Paul Poutanen, President and Founder of Mob4Hire. "We're looking forward to Stephen's expert guidance to help us corral our opportunities, and shape us to be a world player in the mobile application space."
"I am so excited to join Mob4Hire," said King. "Crowd sourcing is such an elegant and sensible solution to the big, hairy and costly business problem of testing in a fragmented global ecosystem that includes over 12,000 different handsets and more than 700 carriers. Mob4Hire can reduce testing costs by an estimated 70% to 90%. My goal is accelerate the pace at which Mob4Hire helps developers get their products to market, as well as to help mobile developer networks bring better applications to their customer bases, such as the most recent announcement of our O2 Litmus partnership in the U.K."
