Pros
The mai manager was used to develop EHS and the EHS system requirements of ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 2007. The system has been designed with these standards in mind and the user can avail of a combination of modules confident in knowing that there is also excellent support available.
Cons
Like all great tools and systems it needs to be utilised correctly and maintained periodically. The quality of the data input is proportional to the output and efficiency of the system.
Overall
In doing we learn; and while introducing mai I found the configuration process, building the departments and areas and creating the aspects register in the environmental module, very rewarding as a learning exercise. The mai support staff always enabled me to ask the right type of questions and find answers to my own queries. I would highly recommend mai.
