Overall: Great product easy interface with employees. Just need to be able to put tips in and this would be the best product out there

Cons: Works best in Google Chrome. IE and Firefox is buggy.
Automatic features that affect time entry don't always work as described.
No formal training documentation, only help web guides.

Overall: Working for a City Government Organization, we installed deputy.com to replace our outdated and expensive Kronos solution. Deputy being a cloud based system, helped us to deploy and test more rapidly then installing a local on premise solution. The Integration staff and Owner of the company were involved with our go live and were amazing. They continue to speak with us and help us though issues that come up. Deputy.com is well worth the money and they integrate with most major cloud based payroll systems. Their IPAD kiosk app for clock-in/out is the best out of all the other company demos we tried as well. Easy to deploy and manage and they continue to work out bugs and issues as they come up. They are very quick to acknowledge a problem and work on a fix.

Recommendations to other buyers: Has the best features compared to all other cloud time card and scheduling solutions.

Pros: Rostering with leave options.
Alerts to when staff are late to work.

Cons: No Public Holiday option
No staff meeting option
Should be easy to make these basic options for all business that need to pay staff for these things.

Overall: Deputy has been great for someone like myself who has multiple sites for my business to manage.
Gone are the days when staff arrived in the carpark at their allocated start time.
When they are late now I get an alert and then I am on to them. It has made them all pick up their game and be on time. I love the leave info also. Once staff have approved leave you can't roster them on by accident.
Just want Deputy to develop a Public Holiday category and also staff meeting allocation option and this will be the perfect App for any business.
I recommend it to everyone I know who has more than one employee.
The one bad thing is it isn't very android friendly yet. Deputy have assured me they are working on that.

Pros: Easy to use. Integrates with Xero and other software. Helps communication with staff. Allows for SMS, email, and push notifications.

Cons: Haven't found any.

Overall: I looked at over half a dozen options in depth, entering schedules and staff and doing trials. I ended up deciding upon Deputy software and couldn't be happier. It's smooth and intuitive to use for both the staff and management alike and integrates with Xero smoothly saving me time and money. The staff love the ease of the app and it allows them to fill shifts they can't do making like easier for me. I can choose to approve the changes or not. It has improved communication with the staff as well, do to the nature of our work, we are all on shift on different days and times. This helps us communicate.
All the components of this well thought out software work and the customer service has been great. I really can't recommend it highly enough.

Comments: We have enjoyed using deputy for a little over a year now. It helps with keeping track of your employees schedule, hours worked, and will send them notifications to schedule changes and lets them know if a shift becomes available.

Pros: Good fully featured data, but easy to see and make decisions on.

Overall: I've been very pleased with Deputy, it has an easy to use interface but still allows for more powerful overview and tracking of labor and costs.

This would be a great choice for most small business and works in a variety of industries.

Pros: Great UI, time saver. Integrations with Kounta to see sales vs staff costs.

Cons: Doesn't directly allow custom wages based on an area of work and/or age. Can be achieved through the RIA 2010 template but would be nice to see this native and customizable inside deputy when adding employees and wages. Maybe an extra tab with wages. Custom wages based on hrs of the day/employee age/working area etc. Then apply them to an area or employee.

Overall: A real lifesaver when it comes to time spent on HR! Well laid out UI and intuitive enough that my staff can figure out how to use it as they go.

Overall: The system is very easy to use it. All my employees are happy with Deputy.
Also, the costumer service is very helpful.
It save me a lot of time to do other things, because, the system is very intelligent, when I have a leaving request, it is register on the system and I don't make mistakes anymore.
I really like, the newsfeed page, cause, every one can see the messages any time at the Deputy Kiosk.
I definitely recommend it!

Pros: The simplicity. It's ability to create, download & integrate timesheets.

Cons: It is unable to really determine/calculate overtime & allowances for our employees. This has more to do with the complexities of Construction Industry Awards though.

Overall: We needed a no-fuss, mobile-based timesheet app that would suit our business. Deputy gave us exactly that, enabling our off-site employees access to a simple clock-on/off system for every-day use. Payroll day has become so much simpler & far less time-consuming!

Pros: Easy to use for a normal business operation. Very straightforward and clear.

Cons: The location notification doesnt work very well - when I sign in Deputy at the front door of the restaurant, it says I'm 500m away. Or when I have more than 10 events a week at various locations, the locations cannot be set independently. Also, it gets very messy to allocate 30 shifts to 10 different people at 5 locations.

Overall: I quite enjoy using this program and it has great features and flexibility that I need. The updates and the information sent to employees is quick and accurate. However I'm running the food trucks operation and some features cannot be customised, such as particular locations for every day events. But that's just a minor thing. Definitely worth using it.

Recommendations to other buyers: Have it little more customised for unusual business operation, like foodtrucks or event management organisations.

Overall: Deputy is great! It makes scheduling and communicating with my staff super easy. I only have two (minor) complaints. One is, the deputy team doesn't always take the time to understand what Im asking. They copy and paste answers that are similar to what I need to know, but not exactly what I am looking for. The second is there is not an option to organize exported timesheets by last name.

Overall: Our company tried a few and Deputy ended up being our pick. It does everything you could ever want it to do and then some. Gave 4/5 stars in features and functionality simply because the messaging feature is too limited. However, they could delete this feature altogether and it would still be a 5-star application. Overall, Deputy is a sleek, bug-free system that will make the person in charge of scheduling a happy camper. And the price is right too.

Overall: Could not be happier with Deputy! I manage 36 employees at a college rec center and would otherwise have to spend days scheduling shifts and keeping track of employees. That is now all done in seconds. It works well for me and my student workers love it too. The customer support is also top notch, fast, and very helpful whenever I have a question. I would not hesitate to recommend this app! Genius!

Pros: Extremely user friendly. Smart phone integration makes it simple for employees to request days off, change shifts, and update availability. The news feed is a great way to send and receive messages across your entire company of specific departments.

Overall: Our company has benefited greatly since the implementation of Deputy. Before Deputy we were constantly looking for better ways to streamline our scheduling, and a way to connect with all staff. With Deputy we were able to do all of these things and so much more.

Comments: We've been running Deputy for about a year or so, it's very easy to master and we now have all of our staff checking their schedules and making leave requests via the app. We also have a large amount of part time labour on hourly rates and it makes managing those staff and generating pay reports very simple. All in all I would say it's made life a lot easier for everyone in the business, not just the managers.

Pros: Instant shift sharing, staff can swap easily, real time updates, clocking in/ out via smart phone. Its really good software.

Cons: Sometimes exporting to Xero can be problematic, customer service with this issue has been slightly lack lustre, so it required a bit of fiddling.

Overall: I manage a business that employs 20 staff and I find Deputy the perfect online service/ app that keeps everything together on the rota. Multi-functioning and great for comms with the team, exporting to our payroll and keeping track of holiday. Would definitely recommend.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure you remove staff that have left. The software charges per employee.

Overall: We took on Deputy as our scheduling and time-sheet system when we bought our new retail business.
Having two outlets in town and a total headcount of 9, we needed some way of ensuring we were covering the busy periods in each shop as well as monitoring when our staff were working and when they were not.
Deputy allows us to view, real time, who is working, who is on a break and how many staff are on site in each outlet.
On top of this it gives great information on both individual, location and total staff costs, which is very useful when planning for the future.

Overall: Deputy makes scheduling very easy. I started using Deputy over 12 months ago and I cannot imagine being without it. Checking, updating or even scheduling can be done via a smart phone or tablet. I have started using Deputy at all the 3 southern states that I manage with the same ease. Staff love it as well as new, changes or updates are published and sent to their smart phones instantly.

I also love that I can contact deputy via the app or web app to raise a issue or ask for assistance. Also new feature requests can be made and where possible it will get implemented. Deputy have implemented features that keep improving the product.

Keep up the great work.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try it before you purchase. I tested 3 different products then selected Deputy. You will also do the same.

Cons: A few functions not in the system we could do with but not absolutely critical to our main objective.

Overall: After testing Deputy for a month we couldn't fault the system. It integrates to most major accounting software packages and has improved our time sheet recording and payroll processing.
Support is spectacular with the fastest response times I have experienced in Business.

Comments: Deputy is a good program for rostering and timesheeting but it does need to have an easier Integration process with Xero Accounting Software and MYOB. Xero Integration is one of the main reasons we chose Deputy but as it turns out, it is not that easy to setup as we need this for the ease of processing the Weekly pays + Weekly Payroll Costings

Pros: simplicity

Cons: would just like more flexibility with the display - small stuff

Overall: easily stepped into managing a staff of 30 - making sure THEY know this is the software of choice and all communications through here, then the rest is really easy.
Userinterface is good, unavailability functionality is exceptional, managing overlaps and clashes is there, even a running tally of who is getting how many hours that week. All that I need to keep a indoor bike venue running.

Comments: Isnt very user friendly for members of the staff that arent tech savvy. Having to take extra steps is a little bit pointless. You have to be clocked in for 15 min at a minimum. Needs to be more user friendly.

Overall: I love all the features, user friendly and great way to communicate with staff under the newsfeed. Approving timecards is much simpler for me now, compared to Kronos. One suggestion that I have shared is to have the option to view the monthly schedule by pay period in addition to the calendar view. Thanks!

Comments: We currently offer shifts on deputy to our 39 student staff - the students love that they can monitor this on their phones and find the system very easy to use.

From a payroll point of view - the approved times are downloaded and the figures used directly to input into our salaries spreadsheet - again very easy to use.

It is also very clear to see what timesheets still need to be signed off.

I would definitely recommend using deputy especially if you have set shifts to fill but also ad hoc shifts can be set up very easily.

Comments: We use Deputy on a daily basis. It's easy to use and gives you the ability to customize for your business. Great tracking software for hours, stress level of employees (making sure your not maxing them out) but, best of all, having the employees find coverage for hours they can't work. No more of the last minute shuffle, they can send out an invite to other employees and who ever wants it, takes it. Ofcourse, there's tons of other great features to enjoy. It'll be up to you to find what you need and works best.

Pros: Easy to use for me and my employees. The app offers many features (that we actually use) at a great price point. The support team is available at any time to answer questions.

Cons: We have had a couple issues with employees viewing messages in the news feed that don't require confirmation.

Overall: I have only been using Deputy for a few months now after switching from another time recording app and I am so happy I switched. It offers many features and has been so easy to use for both me and my employees. Any time I've had questions, their support team is right there to answer them. We'll be using this app for quite awhile.

Pros: Ease of copying roster into the timeframe and allocating appropriate team members

Cons: Export to Xero timesheets has to be altered manually in Xero for each line as details of type of hours worked does not match Xero.
Annual / leave days taken and processed through Deputy transfer onto Xero payslips as individual days. So if a team member takes a week off, instead of it being 1 line of annual leave @ 38hours - it comes up as individual lines at whichever shift hour allocations it was originally for. Makes for an overly long payslip!!!

Overall: We were using excel spread sheet, manually calculating hours and trying to juggle shift changes. Deputy has changed everything. Copy / paste roster templates, Swap shifts, Auto-calculation of hours, notifications when team members are unavailable - the list goes on.
I recommend this product to anyone I know that runs a business with multiple staff members.

Pros: Tracking of timesheets, schedules, tasks and communication

Cons: There should be a manager option where I can see what my employees task each other. The tasks also aren't shown in order by date (at least the last time I looked it wasn't). I would also like to be able to edit a task if needed. Once it's made, I have to delete and re-type if changes are needed. I would also like to task something to more than one person in a day.

Overall: I've been using Deputy now for around 5 months now. I love what this software has done for my very small (3 employee) business. It allows us to communicate, schedule tasks, track time sheets and more. I love it. Makes running my business easier. I also love that it integrates with my Xero program as well. Thank you for a great, quality product with small businesses in mind.

The customer service team are quick to respond, and we find the interface intuitive and easy to use. The pricing also makes it easy for any size organization to be able to use Deputy without spending an arm and a leg.

The only feature I would say is missing for us is for the whole team to be able to have a complete view of everyone on shift, so they can make shift swaps easier.

Pros: Ability to make individual time adjustments on the timesheet

Cons: Does not allow Admin level control, and upcoming schedules cannot be changed once they are published. If you select to have auto-clocking, it automatically does both clock-in and clock-out, they are not independent of each other. The customer service appears to be some sort of computer run AI platform. In my interactions with them they continually reverted to canned responses that had been previously provided in the conversation, even though the questions and engagement of the conversation was changing.

Overall: Completely Inflexible Platform with Poor Logic The platform is not very intuitive and completely lacks administrative control. As the COO of a small company, I set and approve the time schedule for every employee. Once a schedule is "published" it is locked and cannot be changed. While this may make sense if a Manager level individual controls time review, it completely misses the mark of common sense to make it so the Administrator and person who sets the schedule does not have the ability to make changes. You are also not able to delete one employee's schedule once published, the only option is "Delete ALL". Once again this makes no sense. If you ever have to make changes to an employees schedule, I suggest you find another platform to use.

Comments: Deputy has made scheduling my staff so easy. I can create the schedule online and then e-mail or text message out the final schedule. I really love that staff can pick up extra shifts themselves. I also love the messaging feature where staff can communicate with one another. When I send out a message I can ask for confirmation to ensure that everyone received the message. Very handy!

Comments: Deputy has changed employee management at a client's restaurant. With a wide range of features available, it makes the life of the manager so much easier.

With the ability for staff members to go onto their accounts and request leave has gotten rid of phone calls in the morning when their sick or want time off.

Another great feature is the ability to write posts to the team and let them know about certain events and changes.

Good software for scheduling and tracking employee time sheets.

Cons: The pricing model for small businesses. Can be a bit buggy at times (especially copy/pasting shifts). Mobile web experience is poor at best I find myself needing to use my laptop or desktop to schedule shifts.

Overall: Deputy is, in general, a decent system for scheduling and tracking employee time sheets. Personally, I think it's a little overpriced. I've also found the Newsfeed and Tasks feature useless. The scheduling software can be a bit buggy at times, especially on a mobile device, but is overall pretty good. I'm happy with Deputy, but sometimes find myself wondering if there is a better system out there with a better pricing model for small businesses.

Cons: I would like to see a 3rd option when offering a shift where it can be offered to everyone, specific individuals, or to a group that is defined by their job or by area of work.

Overall: Deputy has greatly improved our employee scheduling efficiency. The added cost of using Deputy over what we did before is easily covered by the ease, speed, and accuracy Deputy provides which saves us a lot of time. The communication features and ability to block out unavailable times makes scheduling much easier. Our business had a unique issue with Deputy which was dealt with quickly and efficiently. I will definitely recommend Deputy to others. Keep up the good work.

Cons: If I forgot to enter my shift, I can add it at night but I made a few mistakes by selecting AM or PM.

Overall: Easy to track your working hours , list your tasts, share messages, etc. I have it on my Samsung Note 4, and it is working great!

Comments: I was intimidated by using the scheduling feature and initially planned on just using the time tracking. Once deputy imported my spreadsheet schedule into the web, I was sold on the benefits of using the schedule in addition to the time tracking. For someone like myself who struggles with scheduling, deputy makes it so much easier, and it allows my employees to always have the same, current schedule so that we are all on the same page. It also saves me so much time when i need to approve time sheets. Being able to view actual hours v scheduled hours in the same pane makes approving hours a breeze. And exporting hours into my payroll program directly also saves time. Thanks deputy.

Comments: I manage a team of 7 carers for our disabled son. Deputy has made my job of scheduling shifts much easier & quicker. It's also made it much easier for carers to swap, without needing me as the "middle man." I like how the software starts to predict which hours I'll put in, as often the shifts are similar each week. Syncing with outlook was tricky & I needed quite a bit of customer support doing that, but once I got that sorted it was great. I'm very pleased to have Deputy, wish I'd had it years ago!

Pros: Can see everyone's details at the same time - the timesheet function saves me time and makes payments accurate (not adding time in my head :-)

Cons: Need a reliable internet connection which where our business is located is not always the case

Overall: This program has saved my sanity. I can now do up rosters and everyone knows what they are doing as soon as I publish the timesheets. The onus is on my staff to update the system on when they are not available for work, rather than me rostering them on and then them saying they can't work.

Comments: Really happy with Deputy and the amount of time and money it has saved our organisation. Our writing and managing rotas for casual staff is much easier, we have saved a lot of hours inputting and checking payroll data and our staff are all happy to use it to swap/offer shifts amongst themselves and communicate through the message board.

The support team are very helpful and answer queries quickly and efficiently. We have only been using Deputy for 3 months so can't comment yet on how they handle customer feedback, but if future updates include features that I don't imagine I am the only business asking for, then I'll be even happier.

Comments: I've gone through a number of different programs for scheduling shifts and time management but I wasn't fully satisfied until I tried Deputy. It makes everything easier, mostly when you have to manage your staff from a different location. Plus the iPhone app works like a charm.

Pros: It is a very friendly and intuitive product. We don't need to train new users, just add them to the system and it takes them through the basics quickly and easily. We just don't get questions from new staff on how to use it, clear simple instructions on a very intuitive platform just makes it easy to start new staff.

Cons: Very little. Would like better holiday tracking reporting but really not much else.

Overall: We have been using Deputy for about 15 months now and it is a great product that just keeps getting better and better with regular updates and new features. Comprehensive functionality and beautifully packaged to make it easy and intuitive for all users which is key to ensure staff adopt it well. We have used others but in my opinion it is the perfect product for our business.

Recommendations to other buyers: We have used for over a year and really like the product. It just works, we simply don't get any issues with staff - everyone knows exactly what they are doing and staff really seem to like it.

Pros: It is so easy and integrated into my system.

Cons: the andriod and apple app features are not the same so training new staff depends on their choice of platform.

Overall: Wow what a difference deputy makes. I decide the roster and who is working based on the availability that they input. I can see who is working where, how many hours and how much cost at a glance. Then if they can't work they arrange a correctly trained replacement. No more last minute panic ring arounds for me. I can even see how engaged my staff are by how long an open shift lasts. Lucky for me sometimes only a few seconds. Payroll integration is great. Approved timesheets are imported into MYOB and I can pay 20 staff in less than an hour end to end. Do yourself a favour and get yourself a Deputy. You won't be sorry.

Pros: Deputy handles multiple Locations and job codes.
Utilizes email, texting, and app based communication (essential for the millenial workforce)
Exceptional product support and response time

Cons: The premium version handles 90% of our wishlist for ideal function at $3.00/user, but has limited access permissions/roles, and VERY limited reports. I understand the enterprise version has many more reports and other features, but and additional $2-$5 dollars per user is too stiff for me.

Overall: I have reviewed and trial-tested dozens of online scheduling and timekeeping products over the past 7 years. Our company has multiple locations (cost centers) and employees may work in one or more locations. There are very few scheduling products able to handle our situation, and Deputy rose to the top as the one product which outperformed the others.

Recommendations to other buyers: Use the free trial period and run every possible scenario you can think of, from scheduling to payroll export.

Pros: I love the reports that deputy keeps track of. Every report is meticulously categorized and organized, which is a complete life saver. Instead of spending hours sorting through time sheets and data, deputy has all that for me in a single click! Payroll is super simple.
I also love the way that I can communicate with 40+ employees through the news feed. I use the news feed for important company announcements and changes which is helpful because everyone has to be on the deputy software, so everyone will see the messages. My employees also interact through deputy among regarding work such as schedules, work processes etc.

Cons: More functionality with the iOS app. I work a lot through my phone and I would be great if I didn't need to hop on my laptop to access everything I need on deputy.

Overall: I use deputy every single day to keep tabs on my employees who work in two different locations. Scheduling and managing my employees couldn't be easier. Deputy is a very easy to use software used to track data, time sheets, schedules and communicate with each other.

Pros: One of the main features I was looking for was the unavailability option. The employee profiles and stress profiles make it so easy to schedule. I like the month-view feature that was added recently.

Cons: Sometimes when dealing with schedule changes I end up with an "Open" shift that has been assigned to an employee, and that employee confirms their shift but the time remains "Open".

Overall: Deputy is simple to use, extremely time-saving. I manage the scheduling for 20+ student workers with varying schedules and availabilities and I have been using Deputy for about 3 months.

Recommendations to other buyers: I'm only using Deputy for scheduling, not for time sheets. So far so good!

Overall: I have been using Deputy for 6 months, it's awesome. I can easily see where staff are, export time sheets seamlessly to QBO. It just has made the scheduling of staff and time sheet records so quick and easy. The team continuous improvements of the package is fantastic, already making an awesome package better. It was easy to setup also. You don't need a degree to figure it out. The support team respond very quickly, within 10 minutes.

Comments: Hi, we run a medium size dive business, over 65 employees on various rates 7 days a week in 6 locations. Deputy has "shot' down my old excel roster ( titled the Sheriff - read on ), and has given me back over 20% of my day. In addition the central communications via the News Feed, Tasks and swapping shifts now makes the entire work force run smoothly. I was experiencing crew texting me information and not being able to re-call every minor conversation, Deputy eliminated all of that plus my Admin crew now save a full days work. This addition to our business is the best IT investment so far, so much so we actually reference "has it communicated via Deputy ? If not don't tell me - post it". Also their customer service is always answered and never a chore, especially during the transition. We were introduced to this IT via Entag, they took the time to introduce this to all our crew and helped me change the entire culture over night.

Comments: This program makes scheduling a breeze. I have over 100 staff members working in over 40 positions and the drag-and-drop aspect, along with the ability to pre-set parameters for shifts, makes scheduling so easy. I like being able to see the holes in my schedule as well as highlighting each person to see when and where I've got them working. Being able to see their currently scheduled hours at a glance is wonderful as well. Using this system has put me a week ahead of our typical time-line for creating the summer schedule, when we were doing it on an Excel spreadsheet, and that's with spending HALF the time on it! I'm thrilled, my boss is thrilled - overall, a fantastic system to use.

It's worth the time to learn to use Deputy. It will save you headaches and time in the long run!

Comments: A bit tricky to set up at first but once I set time aside for me to learn how to use it I have not looked back. It allows me to communicate across 3 of my stores simultaneously. Rostering is sooooooo much easier I used to spend hours struggling at work/home putting it together. Also the newsfeed function with the confirmation option is AWESOME! Comments: When my boss announced that we would use an electronic app to do rostering I was distraught , I didn't want to learn a new system ! Why reinvent the wheel !!

But he is the boss right ! So, we did it , and , it's been a real eye opener !
The software is so user friendly and easy to use ! What a pleasure , I'd never look back to that old excel spread sheet with all the rows of colors and so on ... And
Even better - I've found that the staff actually love it too ... It's like Facebook just for our company . We can post about our achievements at work without looking like nerds on our real Facebook lol

Comments: Deputy is easy to set up for both employers and employees. You can customize many aspects so it works for your particular needs. We love how easy it is to communicate instantly with our employees. The company is easy to work with and provides excellent customer service. They are always taking feedback and working to create solutions to help their customer's needs be met.

The biggest con we have is the android app because it is nowhere near as functional as the apple one. However, as this is one of their most frequently stated concerns, they are developing an app that will match the apple one in usability and capability!

Overall it was worth the extra money compared to other employee scheduling software programs that were not as user friendly and lacked many of the awesome features of Deputy we now don't know how we did without! If you're not sure if Deputy is right for you they offer a great trial period.

After signing up for the trial version we put it to the test
The most appealing thing about Deputy is the Smart App, this function is good for us in fatigue management of our Engineers who carry out Aircraft Maintenance that is often scheduled at night
At a glance we can see what time they finished and manage their workload accordingly
The other impressive thing with Deputy is the cost and the support you get

Comments: I have been using deputy with my warehouse team for under a year and I have to say it has been one of the best business investments I have ever made.

With less than a dozen full time and part time team members in this area of my business, deputy only cost me about $50/month, however the payroll savings in that area of my business have averaged $1,950/month...that is 39 times my investment.

There is an old business quote, "You can't improve what you don't measure" I think this is the power of deputy. My team communicates better and views what needs to be done and what targets need to be achieved, deputy is the best tool that I have ever used to make that happen.

I have been in business a long time and I have used a lot of different tools designed for the improvement of team productivity and management, deputy is in a class of its own. It's simplicity ensures that it gets used and at the same time it provides the business owner with more than enough easy to view data to make better business decisions.

When I discovered Deputy it was such a relief and my time building rosters has been cut to a fraction and is so straightforward to use. We have found the product to be extremely capable and robust. We use the majority of the features and it greatly assists all level of management in their roles.

It gives me (managing remotely) peace of mind about who is in the location working. I also love the ability to make announcements and assign tasks - this software does it all!

Comments: Our organization has enjoyed Deputy since our trial. We were seeking a comprehensive solution to manage our non-exempt staff. The website and mobiles apps are easy to use. Being able to export timesheets in multiple formats is also a great feature. We would recommend to Deputy to any company with multiple locations and any number of employees. Great job Deputy team!

Comments: Pros- easy to use both for team members and business owners, love the requested leave feature, day to day helps us manage our labor hours visually and get the word out about new schedules and changes, has reduced late employees - they get reminders and have it on their smart phone.

Cons- timesheets and approving time to a couple of tries to get the hang of, minimal language differences between NZ and US.

Comments: Imagine using software with support that always got back to you with a helpful answer in a timely manner. Add in a really intuitive user interface and integration with my payroll platform, and you have Deputy! 5 stars all around, thank you for making my life easier.

Comments: I could not have extended by holiday housekeeping & maintenance business without this fantastic service. To be able to schedule my staff at over 30 locations, and to see if they have not arrived at work is just one of the great features of Deputy. I would have to call everyone to check each morning, now I can see when they are working, are late and take breaks. Their shifts sms to them and emailed with a map of the location. Honestly I would happily pay twice as much for it. I am so proud that this software was developed in Australia.

Comments: I have loaded hundreds of customers into Deputy around the world, we implement the system and train the users. You can do all of this on your own but many customers love the help we provide. Deputy is 10 out of 10 no matter which country the customer is in.

Comments: Deputy has been fantastic. In addition to the well thought out and easy to use front end, the robust API has allowed us to build some great tools that integrate Deputy with our internal back end so we can calculate sales per employee per hour worked etc.

Comments: We Use Xero Accounting and were managing our staff rosters and hours of work through Excel.
Following a good look around the marketplace, we implemented Deputy to manage our staff rosters and rostering communications.
It was childishly easy to implement, quick to post weekly rosters (literally copy/paste week by week as required), changing or deleting a roster is simple and it notifies staff, we can easily advertise vacant shifts to be filled, staff can post an alert if they have particular shilfts they cannot work, it requires staff members to login and off for start/lunch/finish of shifts, it also records their IP address where they login from. I can check remotely and come payday, it is very quick to confirm the hours worked for each person and then export with the click of a button to Xero so that the payroll run can be completed.
In a short sentence, it is quick, simple to use, user friendly (employer and employee) and cheap. Love It!

Comments: Deputy is easy to use, the customer service is great, and having a medium business has been easy to schedule using the software. I always ask questions and they really aim to improve any suggestions I have.

Comments: Deputy saves us time spend on data entry for timesheets and streamlines our payroll to just a few minutes a week. Replacing staff at short notice is much less stressful and managing availabilities as roster is so simple.
