Pros: Very easy to process refunds. The UX is very friendly and not hard at all. I like working with Eventbrite because of its functionality.

Cons: Sometimes its buggy and there is lag, although i am not sure if it is my interntet acting up. No mobile app

Pros: This is such an effective tool for connecting with those interested in participating in any event you may be organizing

Cons: This is not yet a very well known software. My hope is that this will be used more in the future as it is so helpful

Pros: Easy to use and learn. Easily navigated by the public who will be using it to buy their tickets.

Cons: Fee for ticket sales and limited customization on the look of the event.

Overall: As a nonprofit organization, we have greatly benefited from Eventbrite and its functionality to collect RSVP's and sell tickets.

Recommendations to other buyers: Check out the "code" function so that only a select group with the code can access tickets for free or discounted. This changed the game when it came to access to free or discounted tickets for a subgroup of people.

I'm grateful we discovered Eventbrite!

Pros: It offers the option to create access codes and promo codes that can be given to specific customers by sharing the URL/link for them to redeem

Cons: When transferring the ticket to another attendee through "edit", I loose track of the origin of were the ticket came from since the initial name disappears at all.

Overall: Eventbrite has facilitated my business life so much that I've even persuaded my coworkers from other departments to start using it! The feature I love the most from Eventbrite is that it provides the option to create access codes in order for our attendees to redeem our previous offers or rates. We've had other scenarios where they purchased a registration but ask for the previous rate so we had to refund, and it't very easy to locate their registration and proceed with the partial refund. This makes my job lot faster!

Recommendations to other buyers: Add the option to keep track who was the original attendee, even after editing the attendee information and transferring to a new person

Cons: Small platform, not much to it

Overall: I've used eventbrite for smaller one-off ticketing. It doesn't have the powerful CRM that is needed to run a full arts org, but it's great for occasional event management, and is super easy to use.

Pros: They have good user interface.

Cons: they have limited functionalities and they charge more than the ticketing system

Overall: Eventbrite is well known in the market and they are market leader after Ticketmaster but they should improve upon their pricing module and the functionalities.

Pros: Free for events you aren't taking money for online

Cons: Some missing features, some extensions need updated

Overall: It doesn't have everything but from a consumer standpoint, their event directory is surpassed by none. As an event creator, Eventbrite's 1 page, 3 step process is as easy as it gets. For simple events, I'd always use Eventbrite. However, for paid services, some competitors have better website builds/layouts available and data analytics. I do like that I can integrate with like SurveyMonkey and MailChimp but their Salesforce integration needs some work. For a free service, you can't go wrong.

Comments: Super experience with Evebtbrite. I organized a training workshop through this and it was everything my team and I was looking for. We did not know where to start and it was recommended by a friend on Facebook. And I must say, I'd definitely refer it to someone too!

Pros: It's great for general admission. And good for reserved seating.

Cons: (1) Customer service. So far it has been almost impossible to get a hold of them.
(2) Reserved seating does not allow customers to select their own seats AND refuse them from leaving an empty seat. Hale Center Theater allows you to do both. You can see more at https://hct.org/online/. I'd love to see Eventbrite incorporate this feature. Maybe they do but I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone and started reaching out on Tuesday. It's Friday.
(3) Comped Tix: Can't purchase comped tix and non-comped tix at the same time. Must go back into the system to buy more tix.

Overall: I sent an email on Tuesday and haven't heard back from Eventbrite. I have spent hours on their blogs and I still have several missing questions. I called there on-boarding program and you can only leave a voicemail. I'll update if I hear back from them in the 24 hours they promise.

A few technical items:
- It would be great if the reserved seating function let customers reserve their own seats AND it forced them to reserve seats without allowing to have an empty seat in-between. You can see this function by reserving seats at the Hale Center Theater (https://hct.org/).
- It would be great if someone could purchase tickets using a promo code AND purchase un-comped tickets at the same time (instead of having to go back into the system and starting all over to buy more tickets after the comped tix were obtained). If you have to go into the system twice you may not be able to sit next to your friends. We need this functionality because we give our VIP's a certain amount of comped tickets and then they have first access to purchasing extra tickets for their friends. We'd love for them to sit together.

Cons: Its a great app - No need to change a thing!

Overall: Forget buying and shipping tickets... keeping up with a piece of paper until the conference arrives... Eventbrite takes it all and makes it simple!

Pros: Easy templates to create an event and then useful links to embed in in my email invitations or use their system. Useful to see other events that I might be interested in as well.

Comments: I love eventbrite and i love attending events that people use eventbrite to set up. I have setup a couple of events and it is easy to enter all the information and set up tickets. They handle all the sales of tickets and everything you need. From an organizer perspective, day of checking in and verifying tickets is also a breeze using their mobile apps. You can have your ticket checkers / entry folks download the apps and sign in to your event and scan customer tickets / phones, OR look up the customers in a list and make sure they're allowed in.

Cons: No possibility of uploading photos/documents

Overall: The experience with Eventbright was OK but did not respond to our growing needs as the event drew to a close. We required people to send their photos which we needed for the badges but this programme would not let them upload these and we needed to send separate emails to each participant, resulting in photos with different formats and lots more work.

Comments: Eventbrite is a fantastic software package designed with the management of events at its core. With lots of native functionality and integrations to associated technology platforms, Eventbrite is a must have for companies looking to improve their event management capabilities. Cons: In mobile view, users can't see images that I've uploaded and posted in the HTML description. This is, however, viewable in the web version.

Overall: I tried Eventbrite out for a couple of events I hosted and I thought it was very easy to use and pretty affordable, considering I could have the fees added onto the ticket price for each customer. I love all of the features and especially that you have the option to share the event publicly so that they can be found and tickets purchased by anyone in the community. I look forward to using Eventbrite for future events.

Overall: If you are an event organizer for your own sanity use another provider. Eventbrite DOES NOT HAVE LIVE SUPPORT FOR EVENT ORGANIZERS ANYMORE. Yes they used to that is why I loves using them. Now I cant log in because eventbrite isnt recognizing the email and the only tech support they have is online which they only send automated messages. I described thouroghly how it's not recognizing the email and they send me an email back telling me how to reset my password. Then they say if this doesnt help respond I still need help so I do that and still, NOTHING! My event is live and I cant access or look at anything. It has been 2 days. I don't know what happened to eventbrite but SERIOUSLY CONSIDER OTHER PROVIDERS IF YOU ARE AN EVENT ORGANIZER. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!!!

Comments: If you know what you like and you choose your interests accordingly, the recommendations are always spot on. It's hard not to find something that would interest you and there are always lots of free events. I had to download the app before I moved to Glasgow because I bought a conference ticket through Eventbrite, but then I started to tinker with it out of curiosity and it quickly became a very useful tool. I was new in the city and it quickly exposed me to a lot of stuff I wouldn't have known about otherwise, I even managed to sneak into an Industry Day type event only older students were supposed to know about (and it was great, by the way)

Comments: I attended a Trump rally and the only way to get in was by having a ticket through Eventbrite. I had never used it before and it was quite easy. I then attended a local ATV event called Camp RZR and once again, super easy. I even got several updates/notifications regarding my event which was awesome.

Pros: Its efficient and easy to use. Allows others to promote and sell tickets to their events. Low fees.

Cons: Never had any issues with this software.

Overall: I have purchased many tickets through eventbrite. Many of those tickets I have purchased were EDM events. I enjoy the fact that their fees are not ridiculous like Ticketmaster or live nation. Also, eventbrite is very easy to use. I have never had any difficulties with using the site nor has it ever crashed or given me errors. I really embrace their style of letting other individuals sell tickets on their site. With Ticketmaster or live nation its usually huge arenas or venues. Event brite gives other the opportunity to host their own events and sell tickets on their site. Eventbrite is brite!

Comments: What do you like best?
If you know what you like and you choose your interests accordingly, the recommendations are always spot on. It's hard not to find something that would interest you and there are always lots of free events. I had to download the app before I moved to Glasgow because I bought a conference ticket through Eventbrite, but then I started to tinker with it out of curiosity and it quickly became a very useful tool. I was new in the city and it quickly exposed me to a lot of stuff I wouldn't have known about otherwise, I even managed to sneak into an Industry Day type event only older students were supposed to know about (and it was great, by the way).

What do you dislike?
I can't think about any major things I disliked about this service. There used to be some synchronisation issues between what I was doing on my laptop and what I was doing on the Android app, but they seem to be gone now. Not being able to see your own location when you click on the map is mildly inconvenient if you're in a hurry, but most of the time I add the events to my planner in advance and just clicking on the location I typed in there will take me to Google Maps. The only problem with this is that Google Maps could lead you to the wrong place if it has a similar name, I once went to the Patrick Terminal for something that was supposed to be in the City Centre and, earlier than that, it led me to some random agency in the City Centre for a photography exhibition that was actually in the East End.

Recommendations to others considering the product
You should only pick the interests you actually have. That's what the settings are for and even if you're afraid of missing out on something else, looking for events in an overwhelming sea of information isn't exactly productive.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?
Animation is a terribly competitive industry and you need lots of experience and connections to actually get inside. Even going to events that are only half related, like the ones about film, design, art, computer games and so on will get you into mailing lists, local and global communities and all kinds of other things you wouldn't have found out about by yourself. This creates a chain reaction and a lot more opportunities will find their way to you.

Overall: I have hosted a couple of different events on this site, and have had some issues with the email invites going to spam. While it is easy to set up your event and there are a few different customization I can make for it, it is pretty bad when your invite goes directly into someone's spam box. Pretty useless at that point.

Pros: Easy to use, self explanatory. Being able to direct questions to a person rather than having to wade through help files is a definite plus. Receiving email copies of every purchase is also a plus.

Cons: Not being able to preview the messages sent with ticket sales. This was overcome by purchasing a free ticket.

Overall: Having the ability to schedule time and speak with an expert made first time use of the system easy and efficient. The custom needs of my event's ticket sales were all easily met with Eventbrite's flexible application.

Comments: For the 2nd time I have received an 'oops' message from you reading payment. I agreed to use event brite due to the flexibility of weekly payments. You have been selling tickets for my event for 5 weeks now and I have not received a penny. Instead I got some rubbish about my bank rejecting the payment to start with I checked with my bank and they have no record of any attempt at payment from yourself then you say its because the sort code was wrong which it wasn't however i re inputted the details again and today another message saying there is a problem. My event is less than 3 weeks away and i have bills that should have been paid 2 weeks ago. Your company is a disgrace holding on to small businesses money and telling lies. I will not be using or recommending your company again. I am speaking with my lawyer on Monday as I may have to cancel this event if payment is not made to me as I do not have the funds to cover the costs of my outstanding bills for my event and your guys will be picking up the tab and explaining to my clients why this has happened.

Comments: I'm the event organizer of an event posted on eventbrite, and I recently lost access to my event editing page, as it no longer appeared under the "my events" tab. I called customer service, and the automated system literally took me in circles, repeating questions I had already answered, and never connected me with someone who could help. I am no longer an Eventbrite customer for this reason. I host a couple hundred events a year, and will now go through another company because of how horrible my experience with eventbrite has been.

TIP: Fix your call center automated system! Connect your customers and organizers with real people instead of completely wasting our time! If I had a question that could be answered by a tutorial, I wouldn't have called your "help" center

Comments: Eventribe give you almost no other option but paypal. On the mobile site there is a big button of check out with paypal... but what about if you dont have paypal? only after you click the button of paypal you will then see another option to pay with debit or credit... not good if you all about conversion

Comments: Had no problems with Eventbrite until end of year tax reporting.
My NYE tickets were paid to my account on Jan 6th 2015 but Eventbrite claimed it on the 2014 1099 form. (My accountants loved that)!!!
Also wondered why my bank statements and 1099 form didn't add up??
Apparently they 1099 you on the fees they keep as there own service charge!!!!
Customer service couldn't even tell me that. My accountants had to figure it out on there own.
Did over 150k in ticket revenue with them last year. They will get $00 this year..
Check out Ticket Tailor. (This is not a plug) look for yourself. They have flat rate fees that are pretty reasonable in my book. And much easier to justify come tax time!!!
Software is great but if you don't want to pay taxes on there income then I would check out something different.

Comments: Eventbrite is a go to for me when planning events, everything from happy hours to conferences. And especially repeat events since it's so easy to copy an event and adjust the settings.

There are a few quirks in the product (like some features that are great but feel hidden), but nothing you can't learn about through trial and error, or by going through their extensive FAQ.

Oh and if you're ever unsure, I always save my event to private first (not published publicly) and experiment with it live to see how the customer would react to it. Super helpful!

I am not a tech person at all, but I have found the site easy to navigate in order to create appealing and effective event and registration pages! It's easy for guests to sign up for the event, but my favorite part is the check in app. It's the worst when you get to an event and there's a huge line because the organizers have to manually check off arrivals. Comments: At The Bold Italic, we produce a wide variety of events that often have diverse ticketing needs. Evenbrite is flexible enough to meet our needs for free events, paid events, as well as events that have tiered pricing.

We have found it invaluable to be able to watch ticket sales in real time so that we can track and evaluate our marketing efforts and determine what actually moves the needle.

Their check-in application, Entry is so intuitive and easy to use, I only factor in 5 minutes of day-of training for new volunteers checking in guests.

I've encountered very few problems using Eventbrite, however, when I have needed to ask a question their customer service is lightning fast and extremely helpful.

After trialing lots of online ticketing agencies, I won't use anyone but Eventbrite

Comments: There are a number of reasons I prefer Eventbrite to other companies. Besides the required 'ease of use' and 'intuitive design' of their site I have to honestly say that I like all the controls the platform gives me. I can easily create different ticket options, discount codes, tracking links, invitations (which also allow me to invite attendees of previous events I've hosted on the platform) and can manually add any users (such as comp tickets for media) to the system without incurring any fees. I can also easily repeat an event with one click, which saves any custom tickets or pricing and also allows for easy updates. Their integration with social media is helpful, and they are always making updates to their offerings. They also have promotional tools to help you reach an audience outside of your usual base. The nonprofit organization I work for has conducted over 70 parties, tours, classes, etc with Eventbrite, and I consider them a partner in helping us produce great events and helping me raise money for our educational programs. I also appreciate that they are growing as a company. I never feel that their 'resting on their laurels' when it comes to the design of the site or the tools offered. Even after working with them for a number of years, I still call tech support to get questions answered if I can't figure it out quickly on my own, and their staff is helpful and nice. All in all I give them an A+. They make my job easier, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an online ticketing company.

Comments: Eventbrite is my go to source for all my event publishing and promotion needs. I run a small non-profit that throws weekly events. Eventbrite makes it easy to publish events (that look beautiful!), manage events, and promote events. Since using Eventbrite as our platform for ticket sales, we've seen a huge increase with new users because of their own marketing tools (which are easy to track). Additionally, their customer service is 5 stars and the reports/search mechanisms available are top notch. I truly love being an Eventbrite user and highly recommend their services.
