Pros: It's very user friendly.

Cons: I honestly can't think of anything.

Overall: Working with Policy Medical has been great. The customer service is phenomenal, they reply to you within hours. The system is very user friendly and easy to navigate. I like the idea of having a generic sign on for staff so that they have one less password to remember. Having an electronic system for policy reviews and projects is great, we no longer have a paper trail that at times would get lost on someone's desk. If you have any ideas for improving the system you can submit them, we have had a few of ours implemented. They are very receptive to new ideas and they are always updating and improving the system. Great company to work with!

Cons: I wish it could be cleaned up easier.
I wish you could mass assign iatest & digital signatures

Overall: I have been able to use this program more and more. It is very useful for document management. Customer services is very good and personalized

Recommendations to other buyers: you MUST start out with an understanding of organization & nomenclature, this is essential for strong foundstion

Pros: Archiving

Cons: single assignment of attestment.

Overall: Well organized, good reactive customer support. can be used simply or in a very high level of product.

Recommendations to other buyers: construct a good solid document tree. restrict users to only those who must have it and then only "Quick Edit". Establish 1 or 2 publishers that all policies MUST go through. Establish "Standard Work" for all levels of Users.

Pros: Good helpful people from start to finish. We make the mistakes, Support fixes them in a flash! Love the Training/Support module.

Cons: Bit of a learning curve - but that's expected.

Overall: Worked with PM since version 3 or 4 (it's been a while!) excellent product, great support, priced right.

Comments: I have really enjoyed using this website and our Senior Leaders and Management Team have said many times it's user friendly and a sharp application. Many that have come to us from large hospital corporations are very impressed as we are a small, stand alone, community hospital. I am very happy we chose Policy Medical. I also want to say that Yusuf is the best! You have an excellent employee who has helped with everything and even answered my questions when I emailed him a million times and late at night. He has been huge help and a fantastic person. Your support team as well have been responsive and quick to any issues we have had. I cannot say how pleased our organization is with PolicyManager 6 and your Policy Medical staff. Thank you!

Comments: We have implemented Policy Medical just over a year and half ago and it has made such a difference to manage policies and procedures, starting at the corporate level all the way down to the specific Homes. We really like the ability to link the url address of each policy to our e-learning platform, this way we can be assured that only the current policy is being reviewed by our employees.

The training was very good, but probably would have been great to have a classroom training.

Comments: This team listens to the issues to be addressed. The only con that I still have is not being able to manage and sort the projects to a level that helps you find those that need reassigned. I know that is being worked on as we speak.

Everything else has been very positive, from the top down.

Comments: The software works very well for our organization. We are still training users but hope to be up to speed by January.
A coupld of items.
First the number of characters in the the note section is limited to 255. This is an issue when we have several users making comments. I tried to enter a summary of one persons comments and was limited.
Next are the committees. Is there any way to add a user to all committees automatically if they are more than a General User? This would be for CHOC only not CCMH. I just becomes tedeous to remember who works for CHOC and who works for CCMH.
I have received possitive feedback about the program from all who have accessed it. The search engine is great, that is what I get most feedback on is that they can find the policy they are looking for. And we are adjusting our approval process so that policies have to go thourgh the program to be approved.

Comments: I like the design of the program, however i wish there were more areas to customize to fit our hospital.

Still waiting for the dashboard to be running properly...would be very useful for our staff!

Comments: Pros: Easy to look up and retrieve documents as an end user

Cons: Editing on line is difficult with small view of document. Need to add "un-do" function
Looking up a document that is in project mode is difficult. With two location's documents to look at a search function in the project mode would be helpful

Comments: I do like the quick edit feature, but I don't like the slowness of uploading documents. It takes quite a bit of time for the documents to be uploaded. There are more features available than we will more than likely ever use. Like everything new, it takes time to learn. The other issue is the "New" policies that have been uploaded. That is not true, as currently when I upload the Approvals signature form for a new policy, it puts it in "New" status, but then when I upload the actual policy, it is no longer considered "New" it is considered updated. Also, when I click on our particular hospital, I would like to see only our policies.....but I can see all locations policies. On a positive note, customer service is very responsive to my questions and so far, for the most part, have been helpful. I would still prefer to speak to a person sometimes, but I have just never requested that as I know they are busy.

The use of the software is confusing and lengthy to complete a task.

Comments: My personal experience has been "hit and miss" with trying to complete tasks assigned to me. I complete the task and hope that what I did will push it through to the next step but aren't always successful and need to do it again.

For those who just need to access the software to read the policies and procedures in the folders that seems to be going great.

Is it possible to eliminate some of the steps in "project mode" to make the updating and creating of documents easier? I am tasked with assisting other staff when they have questions on how to do the project side of the software and I find trying to explain it to someone else very difficult and we just end up fumbling through it and hope the it's beign done correct.

Customer service is fantastic. Software is easy to use.

Comments: We changed from a file based system to software and were worried about it due to our remote location. The Policy Medical team were really helpful and now Indont know how we survived before
