How does Capterra's service work?
  • Capterra generates leads for software vendors in two ways:

    • Pay Per Click listings allow software buyers to click to your website to learn more about your solution.
    • The Pay Per Lead program connects software buyers with vendors through verified requests.

    There are no signup fees and there is no time commitment. All programs are pay as you go. Capterra offers a free lead tracking tutorial and website review to all of our customers.

How do Pay Per Click listings work?
  • Pay Per Click (PPC) listings display an overview of your solution in the software directories of your choice. Your listing includes links to your website so buyers can learn more about your solution. The success of a PPC campaign can be measured by tracking clicks that convert to leads on your website. In the PPC program, you only pay for prospects who click through to your website.

Will I be charged for duplicate or invalid clicks?
  • You will not be charged for duplicate clicks from the same user during a single user session. Additionally, Capterra has algorithms in place to prevent you from being charged for invalid clicks.

How do I track my clicks?
  • Since Capterra does not require our visitors to register their information before researching software, we encourage you to track your clicks all the way through to lead conversion. How does the Pay Per Lead program work?
  • The Pay Per Lead program allows you to purchase individual leads that are submitted by software buyers. You may filter leads based on your target market. You will receive an email digest of leads that match your preferences three times during the day. The digest is not sent on weekends or holidays. Leads are also available in the queue in your portal.

How do software buyers find Capterra?
  • Capterra reaches software buyers wherever they are doing research, on the Internet using search engines and other websites, as well as at industry events and through relevant media outlets.

How do I manage my listing?
  • You can access and edit your product description, product features information and URLs in your Capterra portal. Your portal also includes a click report, lead queues, and billing information.

How do I get the most value from Capterra?
  • In order to get the most leads from Capterra, we recommend combining the Pay Per Click and Pay Per Lead programs. This will allow you to capture prospects who want to visit your website, as well as those would would rather contact vendors through Capterra's website. It also gives your listing the most visibility. Increasing your Pay Per Click listing level helps to drive more traffic to your website, and actively managing your monthly limit, if you have one, allows your listing to remain live throughout the month.

How does billing work?
  • Capterra bills your credit card at the beginning of each month for your clicks and leads from the previous month.

Can I set a monthly budget?
  • Yes. You may set monthly limits for the Pay Per Click program. If you reach your Pay Per Click limit, your listing will revert to the free Basic level for the remainder of the month. The minimum limit for Pay Per Click is 25 clicks per directory. You may increase or remove your monthly limit at any time. Listings that have hit their limit are automatically re-enabled at the beginning of the next month.

  • In order to suspend or cancel your account, send an email to cancel@capterra.com. Please include the reason for your request in order to help us understand how we can better meet your needs in the future. You will receive confirmation of your cancellation within two business days from the date of your email.

How does Capterra use my contact information?
  • We have a strict privacy policy at Capterra to prevent the misuse of your contact information.
