Pros
We have seen huge sucess in our business thanks to Total Office Manager. Prior to using the program we had several different programs and spreadsheets that we would use to run our business. With TOM al of our accounting, payroll, customer invoice hsitory, dispatching and so on is in one easy to find location. The reports that we generate at the end of the month and annually are easy to understand and I especially like the dispatch software included in TOM. We went live with the program immediately and had no major issues, in fact the program is so easy to use my bookkeeper went on maternity leave a month after we purchased the program and I was able to perform all her duties without much trouble.
Cons
We really have not had any issues with the program.
Overall
It would be nice if GPS tracking was incorporated and possibly being able to access from an i-phone or Blackberry

Pros
We were first introduced to the software through a great free live demo put on by the company's owner- which was great because we learned a ton about it and got to ask any questions we wanted to right there.
My company loves the software because of its ease of use, yet it has tons of features you wont find anywhere else. It has everything we need and more.
We also love how it's tailored exactly to your needs.
Total Office Manager looks and acts like a hundred thousand dollar software, yet only costs a small fraction of that. It beats out all other competition.
Cons
Even though it was cheaper than the competition's software, it still was an investment in our company. Also, once we got the training, it was easy to use, but most DO need some training to use. And there's no 24 hour support unfortunately.
Overall
Overall, this has been an awesome investment for our company, and I don't regret it at all! I would definitely recommend this to others.

Pros
I have used Total Office Manager since 2004 it is great software for our companies needs. We are an accounting and income tax preparation firm. We have a very large customer database and the easiness of invoicing; posting payments, paying bills, tracking notes and messages, creating statements, assess finance charges are effortless.
The Reports sections of Total Office Manager are well developed. The owner and I use the take a quick look Executive Summary and the Bookkeepers Summary constantly they are a key essential.
The payroll features in Total Office Manager meets all an Employers needs, and wants but, if it doesnt just let them know what your suggestions are and they will try to accommodate you and if the enhancement is something they feel would benefit all their customers they will implement it into the software. It is fantastic, to have a software company that will listen to the users and what the user needs in a software package.
Cons
Total Office Manager has everything a company could ever want to organize their company, my only disappointment is that our line of work doesnt give us the opportunity to utilize all of the countless feature that are offered in Total Office Manager.
Overall
I would recommend Total Office Manager to anyone who wants to spend more time running their company and less time trying to figure out software and how to keep their books.
The Developers of TOM have taken a lot of time in TOMs Help section (Index, Contexts, and Search) to insure you have the answers you need for using your software, but, if you cant find your answers, they have an excellent support staff.
Total Office Manager has helped make my life less complexed.
Keep up the good work Mr. Leichter and Staff, you are appreciated.

Pros
* Pro-active development cycle
* Great feature request system
* Ease of use (familiar coming from QuickBooks)
* Sheer number of features
Cons
* Large update files (but they always work and provide great new additions)
* Sometimes have to wait for support to respond (but responses are always within 4 hours on business days, and answers are thorough; not just some automated system response)
* Just too many features to train our employees on how to use! This program is HUGE (not really a bad thing, just wish we could use it all; someday we'll find the time)
Overall
If you own a service business or construction business Total Office Manager will save you time and money time and time again. The initial price tag is scary, but believe me when I say you will make it back faster than if you went with some other software.
The people at Aptora are great to work with. They actually listen to our requests, and if they hear something that benefits all of their customers they implement it...usually within a few weeks!
We have had custom reports development and other customer programming quoted by them, and although their prices and options were reasonable we just didn't have the budget at the time. The day we can afford to have them do the work we will be taking advantage of their custom programming and data views as much as possible.
Just overall great service and software, without outrageous annual fees (yes, we have to buy a support plan for updates, but for updates this good who cares?).
