Pros
I have been a satisfied MedTopia user since February 2006. I have used this Practice Management Software for several multi-specialty clinics as well as solo practices. My Providers are thrilled at how easy it is to use this system. They love the EDI/clearinghouse house reports within the system and are aware daily of what totals have been sent to each insurance carrier.
Also, for me as the Provider's manager, Customer Service is the vital key to successful PM systems and MedTopia offers just that! The system is extremely user friendly and the claims submission process is the easiest I have used in the past 15 years!!
Cons
The report features can seem overwhelming, I know MedTopia offers "custom" reportings specific to my Provider's request for information. It is my understanding the report features are being reviewed and MedTopia accepts suggestions/recommendations from their clients.
Overall
If you are a Provider just opening a practice or have been practicing for many years, I suggest you review MedTopia Manager. It's an affordable, full-service Practice Management Software System that I recommend without reservation.

Pros
MedTopia is affordable and extremely easy to use. Training new staff is completed in days instead of weeks. As a manager of 9 Urgent Care clinics, problems/concerns that arise unexpectedly need to be addressed fast and Customer Service is a huge component of any practice management system. MedTopia's Customer service is outstanding with a human answering the phones and handling concerns promptly. Patient statements are easy to understand for the non-medical person. As an internet based program, downtime during business hours has been minimal which is very important to us since we are open 365 days/year! Also, living in New Orleans with risks of natural disasters, having no worries about moving computers and servers to prevent lost data is a bonus with MedTopia.
Cons
Several reporting features are confusing at times. Some of the financial reports can be combined in to one report. I am aware that MedTopia programmers are working on their Reporting Queue to eliminate duplicate reports. Also, Adjustment amounts need to be based on total patient account balance and not single line item balance.
Overall
I would recommend MedTopia Manager as your Practice Management Software without hesitation. I have experience with over 12 Practice Management Software Systems and Medtopia is the system that has worked best for me. Software can be a huge expense for any practice and Medtopia's monthly lease program allows an affordable option to any size practice/clinic.

I would highly recomment Medtopia and MD Technologies to any clinic. I cannot foresee changing systems ever again.
