Pros: Very intuitive! The functionality around events management is great! The fact that members are able to self-update their contacts and information.

Cons: A dream would be for it to somehow link to event-bright.
I feel like I still have lots to learn about it's full-functionality.

Pros: Member Information Center - members can update their own information and post jobs, market place items, etc.

Cons: Project Management feature - doesn't have an alert for tasks, too many steps and staff finds it more too time consuming

Pros: Nicely laid out, easy access and workability within the system. It has great options, job postings, advertising and accounting access

Cons: Lack of hands on training, I am not good with the tutorials that you have to watch. I would prefer to have a local seminar where I can learn hands on.

Overall: Took my excel spread sheet membership list and made it look professional on our website.

Pros: Calendar, events registration, online payment option, directory, low maintenance database (MemberZone takes care of all the maintenance, yea!)

Cons: Not at intuitive for group/mailing lists. I would like a little more options for customizing fields.

Overall: I mostly use the program to manage our membership and representative directory, calendar events and registration, receive online payments. I like the calendar and online registration feature. I am learning to use the mailing/group lists, but wish it was a little more intuitive. I would like to have the option to add representatives by their titles or by a specific field. The customer service is great! They are very knowledgeable and quick to respond. Thanks!

Comments: My experience with MemberZone is primarily with the setting up events and the registration forms. It is easy to set up an event and have it appear on our website. Love the online registration! MemberZone makes it so much easier for us to contact our members and saves us time( No more printing and mailing out notices and registration forms)

Pros: Very powerful with many tools. Integrates easily with our website and social media. Makes communicating with members a snap

Cons: Not quite perfectly aligned with NAHB but getting there. Still, way better than what we had been using and costs less.

Overall: Very powerful tool for Chambers and Associations looking to provide even better support for their members.

Pros: Online registration for events allows for immediate numbers and information when planning for events/

Cons: Navigation through event creation could be more user-friendly.

Overall: My experience only includes creating events that youth register online using MemberZone. I have not been aware of any complaints of the families that I work with. I appreciate that MemberZone allows us to use less paper and get quicker responses than if we used traditional paper mail in registrations.

Cons: Not designed for Associations with members.

Overall: I have overall happy with our experience with MemberZone. The new Report Builder has been a lifesaver to us. My only complaint is that I wish it worked better for Associations with member couples instead of Chambers. Many of the features don't apply to us and we have to do figure out a way to make it work for us.

Comments: I am the new office assistant here within my organization and new to the Memberzone software. I am a fast learner and feel that I have been able to adapt to Memberzone and all of it's features pretty well. I know there's still a lot to learn with all of the gadgets available through Memberzone, but I will say I am impressed. I am looking forward to learning more of the ins and outs to better my organization and use of the database.
On thing we are trying to push here at our organization is our Member involvement with Memberzone itself. There are a lot of great tools available to our members, it's just a matter of getting them involved.
Shout out to the Memberzone customer support, they are always there to answer and questions and guide me through the site when needed.

Overall: Our staff all works remotely across the state, so it can be challenging to keep up with details. This software has really allowed us to all be in the know on important aspects of our organization.

Overall: The Customer support team has always been very helpful. They walk you through each problem step by step to ensure you understand going forward. The team goes the extra mile. They send back-up emails to use for future reference as well.

Pros: Great customer support. Terrific flow between content management and database. Unlimited cloud storage.

Cons: I would like a more robust search engine and ability to filter search criteria. There is some need for a more advanced editor.

Overall: We've been using MemberZone for our business chamber for a few years now, and we have thoroughly enjoyed this package. We are a growing organization and the software really helps us stay on top of things. We especially like the thorough customer service and the different ways of getting assistance when we need it. Training and help services are outstanding! The content management system is relatively easy to navigate. We would highly recommend MemberZone to other chambers or business associations.

Cons: As an association, with various membership levels and types, the application is not ideal but works. The events area is good but have had to make some work arounds.

Overall: We have had a good experience. We did not have a previous AMS system so this was completely new to us. We are still learning the system but have found for the most part our needs are met. Our members love the member center.

Pros: The wide range of features and the ease of making updates to the website.

Cons: Certain limitations to the features, like a better method of organizing sub companies and reps in different company locations

Overall: We switched over our database and website management platform from another company who just wasn't cutting it, and MZ's customer service is probably the best I've seen anywhere. They're polite, intelligent, and easy to work with. They answered all of our questions quickly and are always making suggestions for ways in which their system is limited. The database could use an update... it's not always easy to find what you need and may not be perfect, but they do make continuous updates. The website portion is pretty good, and we've gotten very positive feedback from our members. The price is reasonable for what you get. We've heard they came out with a more user-friendly platform, so hopefully we'll check that out at some point. We love their chat system, and they also communicate via email and phone so you have options!

Recommendations to other buyers: We did a lot of research, and this company knows their stuff... there are a lot of features that can help with maximizing revenue for your company! They're not perfect, and you definitely need training before you jump in, but once you get a handle on it, you can do a lot!

Comments: As a new employee for a small association, Memberzone has has proven a great resource time and time again.
The support system is brilliant and you really get your moneys worth from their team. I have personally called in several time with some easy and some hard questions. You can really tell customer service is at the forefront of their jobs, they don't rush and spend plenty of time addressing your needs. They email you a response after your call in review which is also a great feature.
The software itself works well, it has lots of applications which can be daunting at first but there are training videos, seminars and walk through guides for most issues. I feel as though I'm just scratching the surface with the functionality of the software and what it has to offer. It certainly makes maintaining a database where constant entries and removals are required much easier than software I have used in the past. The reporting/analysis section offered is comprehensive and easy to use.
In conclusion, It is expensive, and this is relative compared to the size of your organization but it offers so much that its totally worth the price tag.

Overall: I have been a user of the Memberzone software for over a year and have been very pleased with this function. I have gotten great response from my membership on how happy they are that we are using the service for our membership organization.
I would give 5 stars across the board but I have had difficulty merging my accounting software with the membership programming (it is not a seamless process and it requires a couple steps)
I would recommend Memberzone to small or large organizations looking to organize and present professional membership directories and services.

Comments: We have little experience in our office with website design and usage. MemberZone software is very easy to use. We are able to make changes to our website and design new pages with ease. Whenever we have questions about a topic, we can find a training video to watch.
The training videos are very thorough and easy to understand. Customer Service is very friendly and knowledgeable. They always point us in the right direction. There are many features we are just beginning to use and we are comfortable knowing that we have the resources to complete our tasks. We highly recommend MemberZone for your business!

Pros: Modern features and members able to manage their own accounts

Overall: We switched from Builder Fusion to Member Zone and the change was easy and painless. Member Zone provided great support and training! I thought it would be impossible to learn a new system but it was very easy. I feel like we up to date with the latest technology with Member Zone and am very happy we made the switch!

Comments: Being originally designed for Business Chambers, MZ has been shoehorned for use as a broader Association Management software. The product is very robust, but not entirely intuitive. It does some things very well and is great but at the same time there are legacy snafus that prove to be frustrating. Lately, it seems the customers support has waned, but that may be a function of being overly busy. Having a live chat may help.

Cons: Some things are not able to be changed but that number is relatively small. Just have to live with it. Not a big deal.

Overall: Our non-profit management company did extensive research on a new web-based database & website solution. We were about to spend a lot of money (we didn't really have) on a couple different solutions as we thought they were the only game out there. We happened to get a great marketing email from MemberZone just in the nick of time! All of our questions were answered. The price was reasonable and the initial help was great. The reason I didn't give them more stars for Customer Support is because we don't get a timely response on help ticket supports. Luckily I haven't had to use them much because it is that easy! Would highly recommend MemberZone to any size organization!

Recommendations to other buyers: I have extensive database experience so it was easy to learn. What I didn't have was website design/maintenance experience. MemberZone's SmartCMS platform is extremely user friendly and makes you look like a pro and helps with your organization's professionalism to the world.

Pros: Enjoy the ease in record keeping, filtering reports, and bundling cover letters into emails.

Cons: There's no automatic save in the subpages for each member account. Sometimes when I'm updating one page and need to update another, I switch tabs and forget to save what I just did. Then I have to go back later when I realize my edits didn't save.

Overall: I've been a Member Zone user now in two separate organizations, and for even just the small handful of functions that we use, we're finding it very helpful in keeping our billing and receivables, plus our member contacts, very much in order. We have plans to continue to utilize even more functions as we continue to update and upgrade our administrative operations.

Cons: It doesn't integrate that well with quickbooks. It's very time consuming transferring between the 2 programs and as much as I love it, it's not cheap.

Overall: When I first joined our organization, we used spread sheets to track all of our members and events. It took some coaxing, but I was finally able to convince our board to invest in membership software...and I am so thankful they said yes! Memberzone has been a God send! Not only does the system make my daily tasks and communication with members much easier, it gives us a totally professional appearance! I can't say enough about how great this system has been for our organization. It's like having another employee and the customer service is the best! If you aren't using this software, you are working too hard!

Comments: We looked at a few, more expensive platforms for our transition to a more robust website/database management system and were happy to receive an email out of the blue from MemberZone at the opportune time to compare. Overall: Memberzone has simplified our lives. Dues invoicing, member database, web content management, accepting payments at events with no back office input necessary. I can't say enough about this software. It does everything promised and more. Our member records have never been this easy to handle. Support service is excellent and quick. The training videos are a great resource when training a new employee. We've all used other software and this is the most user-friendly any of us has ever used.

Pros: Always adding functionality

Cons: As a power user, I tend to break things or find features that aren't quite ready for the masses yet.

Overall: Business and Trade Associations are generally behind the times when it comes to everything. Most of us operate as non-profits with limited budgets. MemberZone has an all in one package to manage members, track prospects, build directories, and integrate with external systems like WordPress and Constant Contact. Their customer service is top notch and they're always friendly no matter how bad of a day I'm having when calling or using their chat window.

Cons: member wms updates and bringing in an import from WMS

Overall: We went from Builder Fusion to MemberZone because we wanted the integration of the members section with our web, the additional non-dues revenue sources and the ability to connect QuickBooks.

Recommendations to other buyers: Look at the WMS Section again. I know I beta tested but I still have paid members not show up in the WMS set up.

Pros: It's laid out well. I love the tutorials, too!

Cons: The look of it. It looks a little dated.

Overall: I have nothing but great experience with MemberZone. The staff is so helpful and never tire of all my questions and needs!

Pros: It's easy to use.

Cons: It doesn't allow members to actually barter through the marketplace. That would be sweet!

Overall: I've tried multiple other member management programs but none compare to memberzone. The support I've received was phenomena. I'd highly recommend it.

Comments: I attended the TECNA Conference last summer in Portland and after hearing more about Memberzone it seemed like the perfect fit for our Non-Profit, membership based company. Since the switch it has been extremely easy for our Members and staff to track and search for information. I also really like the payment option, this helps decrease the work in our office by sending invoices and collecting payments. The Memberzone staff have been very helpful whenever needed, sending training videos and responding quickly to emails. Thanks Memberzone!!!

Comments: After trying out a competitor for approximately 1 year and ultimately canceling that service, I am extremely excited about the ease and functionality of MemberZone's software. The interface is easy to use with lots of different options to fit your organization. There are so many features that I am still learning about new ones after 9 months of use. Customer support is amazing, questions are answered promptly often with an accompanying video that is created just for you. If you are a Home Builders Association, I honestly believe this is the best software available. I can't say enough great things about MemberZone.

Comments: My first initial experience was I was very confused, however after proper training and a lot of work, i discovered the possibilities were much greater than with other software, and what Memberzone had to offer was far greater. Being able to build a website and having so many options is very helpful.

Comments: From the beginning (about 18 months ago) Memberzone has been a huge part in the organization of our membership. The training was great and the customer service is fabulous. There are plenty of webinars and tutorials but the customer service is only an email away. This program has made membership and invoicing a breeze. We are using Memberzone for our annual conference registration now and it's working great!

Pros: Pros of the software include the customer support. Since we are an all volunteer organization, training, knowledge transfer and stability of the system are important to us.

Cons: Cons of the software are I would like some additional user levels for the administration staff so we can easily track what volunteers to and better protect our data from lower level volunteers

Overall: We have been using Memberzone for the last 4 years and have found they offer products that grow as our organization has grown. We are able to pick the modules that meet our business needs. We also like the fact that we do not have to sign long term contracts that would lock us into products that would become obsolete and fail to meet our needs. We appreciate the fact that they are continuing to improve the tools based on customer feedback and needs as well.

Recommendations to other buyers: We learned not to try to implement too many things at the same time or it can become overwhelming for the volunteer administration staff.

Comments: Customer Service needs some improvement on speed of initial contact and follow up. Also, the training and knowledge of the support staff need improvement. We have been given incorrect information in the past which caused some trouble with our events.

Comments: Memberzone/ChamberMaster provides a one stop shop for all your Association needs. From Event registration, Public Facing Modules (Events, Members, News, Contact Forms and more) they make it simple to get things done and save time/money!

With amazing integrations into Intuit Quickbooks, MailChimp, Constant Contact and Website CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal) it really does take care of everything in the "Kitchen Sink".

Comments: Excellent product for the specici nneds of Chamers of Commerce to track membership and events.

It can also be a usefull front end accounting system addition if set up correctly by an accounting professional. It can be used to track all invoicing, accounts receivable, funds received, online credit card payments, cas and cheque receipts, credit card receipts and sakes taxes collected. This information can reported to a large extent through a summary journal entry. While it can be integrated with QuickBooks it would require a lot if data pushed to QBs. The summary journal entry should be preferred.

To set up the accounting aspects requires a higher level of accounting principles and the ability to figure out the reports necessary. The summary journal entry is inly one aspect.

It is believed that many users are not fully utilizing the accounting functionality due to perceived cost of correctly setting it up. But the reality is that users would typically recover that cost within a couple of years from a reduction in the month end accounting time.
