Comments: The turn around time on requests is excellent. Most of the time they can take care of the issue on the phone with NO turn around at all.

Recommendations to other buyers: This program is much more user friendly than software I previously used at a Chamber of Commerce!

Pros: We have control over the content, the format, the forms, the database and so much more.

Cons: The Classic platform has a steep learning curve so for long time users making the move to the new platform is a must. Much more user friendly.

Overall: Currently on the Classic platform and looking forward to the change to the new platform. Compared Memberclicks to many others and the new platform comes out on top.

Overall: I love how easy it is to use in most areas. The Customer Support is great and I couldn't ask for better. The detailed training sessions are very useful. I don't personally use the transaction side of things very much but my coworkers seem to like it. However, the one thing I don't like is the formatting issues that they have. We have had continued issues with the formatting inside of emails not keeping or adding weird formatting in general. Website facing formatting sometimes also tends to act weird. Even with the formatting problems, I still love it.

Pros: I think if you didn't have excellent Customer Support I would not like it as well.

Cons: I'm not fond of some of the limitations. I'd like the suffix field to be a fill-in, not a drop-down. People work hard and obtain credentials (i.e., Ph.D.) and members use that credential as part of their name. I'd like the middle initial in our forms to export -- middle initials are important to some people! I generate certificates using the form information and I need that middle initial. I don't like the credit/refund process -- maybe I just need to understand it and get used to it.

Overall: I'm not a "techy" person - I am intimated by most technology. I was a bit disappointed when we upgraded platforms and felt that the Memberclicks person assigned to our account was not as helpful as she could have been for the set-up. When I call Customer Support they are all very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. Some of my questions are easy and some aren't. I've been working with Memberclicks for about 3 years. I came in from Access Database, where I had complete control over the fields and could do whatever I wanted. Every software is limited more than that, but generally I find Memberclicks fairly accommodating for our needs.

Comments: I began using MemberClicks five years ago with a nonprofit association that has a large site with a lot of legacy material. Some of the good features I have noticed are unlimited customer support (I usually submit a help ticket via email) and the capacity to either use the editing interface or edit HTML if desired.

The support staff are always chipper and upbeat. Occasionally clarifying questions takes some going back and forth to explain a request. On the other hand, a good number of the team members seem fairly seasoned and in some projects they clearly go the extra mile to investigate what might be possible or to be responsive. Sending mass-email newsletters can take a lot of testing when adjusting appearance of an HTML email because the email-editing interface does not always precisely display what you will ultimately get upon transmission. For a while the ASA users could recommend or vote on product enhancements in a knowledge base, which can still be searched on the back end. Occasionally I have wished for material to share with our association members to explain how things like the forums work (there is a video showing what end-users see). The company focuses on supporting small staffs and comments in the knowledge base sound appreciative of the support received.

Recommendations to other buyers: Stay with the provider's "native" look-and-feel for simplicity of managing and keeping up pages.

Comments: I have been using MemberClicks in varying capacities for 5 years as our membership database. It has all of the functionality we need - listserv, membership management, forms, reports, and more. If I ever have a problem or need help, I simply contact the help desk and they help me within 24 hours and stay with me until I 100% understand how to do something or the issue is resolved. There are some bugs to work out sometimes but mostly, that has to do with me not setting something up correctly! In any case, my organization has tried to look into similar platforms with the same or more functionality and I plead my case each time to stay with MemberClicks (because I am the one to use it 99% of the time) because of their amazing customer support.

Cons: Most of our issues will hopefully be resolved when we move to Memberclicks' new platform. We are still using Classic. It would be nice to export membership data retroactively.

Overall: I had a large learning curve, due to my lack of IT experience, when I started using Memberclicks. Their help forms were great for getting introduced to the system and anything that is not covered there, is always quickly and sufficiently explained and/or fixed with a call to their Help phone line. Our rep is fantastic to get help from because he not only thoroughly explains and fixes an issue, but will offer some pointers and information that gives me a better grasp on using Memberclicks, which comes in handy going forward.

Comments: Building an online membership directory that highlights one person per organization can be tricky. Setting up several different member types and permissions was creating a challenge for us but it took one call to MemberClicks customer support and we were able to get the directory online and showing what we needed. Sometimes the technology is difficult to understand but with such great customer service MemberClicks is hands down the best AMS for us!

Comments: We have tried various CMS or custom solutions over the years but the Memberclicks SaaS (Software as a Service) brings all of our organizational management needs to a single user interface. We now have a single source for Membership, Social Events and Website that is convenient, easy to manage and easier to use.

Plus, Memberclicks provides a number of features that we did not have before. Some of the features that attracted us to Memberclicks were Automated email reminders, Payment subscription options, Event management and a feature rich Website . It's a real CMS solution for us.

Not that we have needed them much but the Customer Service team has been top notch when we have called. While the user interface for the Membership Profiles takes a few minutes to learn, it provides all of the features we need. And because we are on a SaaS platform, as we grow and evolve our organization, Memberclicks will grow to meet our needs.

Robust program. Not always intuitive, but great customer support.

Comments: As someone who works for a small non-profit, we use this product to manage our fellow database. The process of importing data could use better instructions and warnings about little glitches, and the benefits of using a basic or advanced import. However, the overall experience of importing data went well and the error signs were clear as to what part of the data needed cleaning. Help desk was great support, especially the person who stayed on the phone with me to troubleshoot issues during my import and gave me advice to solve any future problems.

Comments: I am so frustrated trying to implement this. We had read a few reviews saying that it isn't designed for trade associations and we were hesitant at first, but assured that those glitches have been fixed and it seemed like it would work well enough until we could move to something else. That is not the case. It is not easy to use, it is not intuitive. I can not have lower level staff working in it as much as I would like because it takes so many steps to get anywhere and things are not organized in a logical fashion. The parent/child relationships we are using to organize contacts by company is very cumbersome. It is just not designed to accommodate our structure, so if you are a trade association, don't believe them that it will work for you.

And, they told us everything was fully customizable, and it is not. We want to limit/moderate interactions between members and though we can disable the directory and search and connect functions like we were told, they are still visible to members in the "My Profile" page and just don't work. Who designs software like that? They clearly don't seem to think this is a problem. So my only option is to wait until members call complaining that the software search functions don't work then try to explain to them that no, we just disabled it because we don't want you to use it. That is just not acceptable.

Comments: As a volunteer based organization this has worked well for us. I had no previous experience setting up a website, but with a little help and customer service always being available we launched it a year ago. As we begin our second year I am much more comfortable. Creating forms has become easier. Last year I would say they functioned, this year they have a much better look and feel. I tend to have some questions that I feel I should know the answer to, but still can't find and customer service is always readily available to answer my questions and not make me feel silly for asking! I would definitely say it takes time and energy to learn it, but once you have some basic knowledge you can utilize that to advance your use of the software.

You just need to complete the training and keep at it frequently to use the admin tools. This is not always easy for a volunteer organization.

Comments: MemberClicks has made my job MUCH easier! Their software is completely user friendly and very easy to not only learn but to navigate as well. We use MemberClicks for a number of our Associations and find that our members also enjoy the ease of access on the front end of the system.
Their help team and support is extremely friendly and more importantly very helpful. Whether it is a simple yes or no question or a question where support and guidance is needed, they are quick, efficient and always follow up.

Comments: MemberClicks provides decent website, email, registration form, payment processing, and database tools all under one roof. Sure, better software exists for each of these purposes, but it's great to have them integrated into one serviceable, low-cost product specifically designed for small-staff organizations. It's easy to set up different groups and provide different levels of access according to membership status. I use the Advanced Search to send emails to different segments of our database, and I use MemberClicks templates to build the emails as opposed to designing them from scratch (I recommend this approach because emails can get junky). It's not the fanciest system in the world, but it gets the job done. The Message Report center could be improved because it's not always easy to go back and find emails after they've been sent to look up results. I always include link tracking manually, when I think it should be automatic. The event calendar could be nicer too - it would be helpful to be able to link to individual events, and include instructions for people submitting events. Overall, I find it quick and easy to update the website, and the Help Team always responds to me the same day I submit a request.

Comments: Exporting information is an easy process.

I create a weekly newsletter. I have difficulty with spacing all the time, with sentences. When I create forms or revise them, I have spacing issues with words.

Contacts get changed to different groups with no apparent reason.

I'd like MemberClicks to be able to interface with Quick Books for accounting purposes.

Comments: Been using MemberClicks for about two and half years. Found it to be a very reliable product that allows our organization to maintain a modern and clean website, while also managing our membership requirements. From the content management side the interface is fairly basic and easy to pick-up. It can be it times a little cumbersome for formatting, and the user interface could use an update, but it makes up for it in flexibility of additional offerings. These include blog, job boards, and event management & calendars.

Most helpful is the fantastic support that is provided by MemberClicks. Whenever i have had a product question or was stuck on a web design / formatting issue I was contacted within a couple hours, often minutes. (This included usually in the evening, when i actually have time to work on the site as a volunteer organization!).

With websites, the support and help is so important as many times a new task needs an experts explanation. MemberClicks is always available, and makes the experience very one-on-one personal, which is all I can hope for in a technology company.

Comments: MemberClicks is a robust system. It's clear to me that they have invested heavily in building the product. In my experience, the more robust a product is the longer the learning curve. You have to learn the language and navigation of the system. There's the true challenge for me: I have years of experience doing it my way, and now I need to learn the MemberClicks way.

However, this is where I believe MemberClicks shines. Their support staff exceeds my expectations. I never feel like I'm bothering them. (and I tend to be a high maintenance customer with lots of questions) They listen to my questions, and intuitively know what I'm really trying to ask. I don't get put on hold while they research an answer--they seem to have the answer ready for me before I call. On top of that, they don't just provide the answer to my question. They take time to teach me through the issue--which means I'm implementing best practices instead of misusing the tools. At the end of the day, the support staff has shortened my learning curve dramatically.

I'm thrilled with MemberClicks. The product is solid. The people behind it are invaluable.

Comments: I am the webmaster of a volunteer organization. Our organziation has many educational events that we host. Memberclicks is a great way to manage these offerings. We have several of our Board members that use the website to send mass email information and we have just now starting using the forum features. The online tutorials and the assistance that we need now and again to set everything up has been very helpful given the level of tech understaning in our organization.

By having a well organized and good looking website, we have inreased the enagaement of our members.

Comments: Our transition to MemberClicks database and website has been an exciting change! As with any product, there is going to be a learning curve to actually understand the ins-and-outs of the program, but the MemberClicks team has been extremely helpful and is available to you any time. The implementation managers are very organized and professional and explain their product well. And then when your implementation period is over, you work with their customer service team who is just as knowledgeable so you don't feel like you are starting over with people who can't really answer your questions. You can call anytime with questions and they are happy to help you for as long as it takes to solve the issues. They don't make you feel like you're bothering them and they go the extra mile to ensure you receive your answers. Their response time to emailed questions is very timely as well. And they even follow-up with you after your "ticket" has been answered to make sure there's nothing else you need. And this customer service comes at no extra cost so you don't feel like you're being nickeled and dimed.

The database is very well thought out and has covered most of the areas needed for our association. The layout of menu items is very organized and self-explanatory which makes things much easier. While the product sticks within some "off-the-shelf" guidelines, it is still a very personalized product that you can easily adapt to your needs.

The website is also very user-friendly. If you can edit a Word document, you can edit the website! It's very easy to make real-time changes. The only comment I would say about the website is that it would be nice to have more than 1 responsive template. In today's world, everything is viewed on different electronic devices so a responsive template is necessary. More options for responsive templates would help to offer more personalized look options for your website. But with that being said, the 1 template they have looks nice and we are happy with it.

Overall, it is so nice to have the ability to have control of your own database and website without being a IT professional. We are very pleased with MemberClicks!

Comments: MemberClicks has given our organization a highly functional website and member database that are fully manageable by volunteers with limited technical expertise. If you can learn the quirks of Word to format documents or Excel to create simple spreadsheets, you will be able to use MemberClicks.

MemberClicks provides wizards, copy buttons, and shortcuts that minimize the work required. Most of the 'next steps' are clear and don't require you to have a manual nearby.

Yes, you need to learn how to use MemberClicks, but the learning is mostly tied to the details of each step. The system has so much flexibility built in that you have to make numerous decisions along the way. For example, for a new web page, you need to create the web link and the webpage, then decide who has access and when that webpage should be visible (start and stop dates). It's very easy to add fields to the database but you need to decide who can see it and who can change it - sometimes only admin can change; sometimes only members can see, sometimes only the member can see. The downside of technology is that you need to have rules and define them in the system; the exceptions cause the problems and deciding how to manage exceptions can be difficult.

MemberClicks also provides a merchant account (optional) and support team for credit card processing - all we had to do was submit the paperwork. The 'connection' to MemberClicks was handled without our involvement.

The one area that I would improve is the implementation start-up. We started with training classes (database) but I think some general reading material or slideshow that would have introduced MemberClicks terminology and the overall organization of training would have helped. For those who have never been involved in system implementation, the concepts of defining database groups, attributes and granting permissions are huge to grasp in a 30 minutes webinar. Many people need to see the picture of a jigsaw puzzle before diving in even though assembling the puzzle with no picture is possible. Someone on the project team should have system implementation experience - that know-how of what to expect and where the problems lie.

Comments: I am new to MemberClicks and new to my org but not new to membership databases so I feel like I have a thousand questions. The lexicon is a little different to what I am used to but once I took the time to learn how things function and how things work together, most of the program makes sense to me. One can apply similar logic across Member Clicks processes - for instance, once you learn how forms work to manage event set up, the media manager makes sense as does article management. A few of the concepts are still a little confusing... but I am getting there.

What is most impressive is the customer service. The answer/resource/tools hit my inbox usually before I switch gears to return to the project I asked about (I work with a few different clients - not all in MC). It is almost embarrassing how fast it is! My only complaint thus far about the member data side of things is that the process to merger records is kind of cumbersome. It is not nearly as easy as say, CiviCRM or even a custom access DB. Essentially you tag and insert transaction history, then you delete the unwanted record - losing any contact history or notes. Most or our data is managed at the National level for this particular group so there is a monthly upload process (hence the opportunity for duplicates).

I look forward to learning more about MemberClicks and using it more fully. Keep up the great work customer service!

Comments: MemberClicks is not the first product solution I have used to maintain a website and member information. However, it is the first that has really made sure that all of my needs were met. Follow up is really important in customer service and MemberClicks really embraces this concept. I never leave without either my question answered or the ream member explaining that research needs to be done before they can answer. I appreciate that even when they do not have an immediate answer, they are honest. Once they find the answer they immediately contact me. Comments: I have been with MemberClicks for our organization for about 6 months now. The training is great, but the system itself is so straightforward you probably don't need the training to begin with. Compared to other website management systems I have seen, MemberClicks is a breeze!

When I have had questions how to implement a certain feature, the customer service team has been right on it, responding within 24 hours and making sure not to finish until they have answered any question in full.

They are always implementing new ideas, of which I have made some suggestions myself. They are always responsive, and I can't imagine an easier experience in managing an organizations website.

As a non-profit, we needed a product that could provide the service and features that would help us function more efficiently and provide our members with the best possible experience in using our website, maintaining profile information easily, signing up for our yearly conference, payment processing, and receiving messages--all at an affordable price. MemberClicks met and exceeded our expectations. In researching potential companies, MemberClicks stood out from the beginning with its personal, responsive service--from the sales team and trainers to the web designers and technicians. As someone who had no previous skill in website management and no coding skills, I had to gain some expertise quickly. MemberClicks walked me through the initial training of different components at a reasonable pace, and it didn¿t take long before I felt confident in maintaining the site and assisting our other administrator with database issues. There are lots of other tools to support learning the system or fixing problems through a library of training videos and articles that are easy to access, along with webinars. But when I have been really stuck, I have been amazed and impressed with the speed of their responses, both through email and by phone. They have been there to help me right from the start and the great customer service has not stopped. This truly sets the company apart. Besides great service, they keep improving their product by rolling out new features and asking for customer input along the way. Comments: We just completed implementing the MC system and migrating our 2,000 members/non-members. We were operating separate databases, applications and processes for our website, membership management, financial management, meeting management. Right on the heels of migrating our membership and rolling out out the redesigned web site, we've just launched our first event - our annual, international symposium with a core technical program, short courses and many ancillary activities. The MC system is truly integrated: Therein lies the power... and the challenges! If it weren't for the rapid response time and the team approach exhibited by the Help Desk Product Experts, I question whether our roll out would be going as well as it has been. Although we spent what we considered sufficient time analyzing our needs and designing our set up, I realize we should have conducted a more robust testing phase. You really learn by using this system and more exposure to its capabilities prior to roll out would have been beneficial. I really appreciate the recorded training videos (you can go back as many times as needed) and step-by-step instructions, also helpful for reference. I can't imagine a set of needs MemberClicks would not be able to accommodate with a detailed needs analysis and well-thought out set up choices.

Comments: I have been using MemberClicks for years. Initially when I took over management of my organization's website, we were barely utilizing MC. One of my initial tasks was to migrate our website over so that we could host it through MC. Since then I have learned a tremendous amount about how powerful the MC platform is and what all can be done with it.

My only complaint is that there is a fairly steep learning curve (and I work in IT as a web developer, so I know my way around computers), but once you learn it, you realized how powerful it is.

The highest praise I can give MC (and it is very high praise), is for their customer service. They have professional people with great, helpful attitudes working for them. And I don't think I have ever been on hold for more than 5 minutes before there was a well-spoken representative there on the other end of the line to help me. These days when I call they usually have to elevate my request to the second level support, but they do that, and even that level of support is very responsive, and usually gets my issue resolved within 48 hours or less.

Comments: Pros - The system allows you to do a lot - especially at a great price.
If you are willing to learn the system you can enjoy it and be very creative.
It is setup in tiers so that you can pay by how many members you anticipate having.
The customer service department is terrific! They are very prompt in responding to your
needs.
Cons - These comments are not really cons, but just an fyi:
I think any complaints people may have is that takes some time to learn the system, but
the more you put into it the more you will get out of it.
Be sure to ask all the questions upfront so you can design your system the right way
initially.

Comments: MemberClicks is a great system for our 2,000+ membership. We are in our 4th year with MemberClicks and have realized many of the benefits, over time, of their integrated system. Great for membership management, with updates and new features regularly rolled out. We use many different forms for multiple events, and MemberClicks' integrated system works really well. Our website is hosted through MemberClicks too.

MC does listen to what clients are asking for. They offer great customer service with timely follow-up. The online help function is user friendly and often gets you to the source; the webinars are well-done and are a great tool to learn the system components. There is a learning curve, as with any software, and with MemberClicks your expertise builds quickly as you master one component and then another.

Comments: I like MemberClicks because it allows us to provide our members with a lot of features such as a job board, event calendar and registrations, payment processing, and social networking. It takes some learning to get everything in place, but there are a lot of training videos and how-to articles along with the help center which helps a lot. I gave it four stars overall and for customer service instead of five because sometimes it takes a few hours or a day to get a response from the help team so urgent matters have to be put on hold until a response is given, and I feel the monthly fee is a little high for websites, but overall my organization is satisfied with MemberClicks.

Comments: I love this product and all of the capabilities it offers. Certainly there are things I would do differently (the ability to resend a receipt for a past transaction, for instance) but overall think is suits a myriad of needs.

As a association management professional, I recently attended the SHRM Leadership Summit in DC. I attended a session specifically geared to the assoc. pros where we were able to alsk about our experiences with our AMSs. I was part of a group that had converted to MC over other AMSs including YourMembership. Hands down, those of us who converted to MC (and there were several) indicated that the transition was smooth, the product sound and the customer service STELLAR.

Comments: MemberClicks is an impressive product with many useful, seductive features.
In the courting stage we were led to believe certain features would work in our situation, however during training we discovered they would not. We were disappointed and felt that we were not given the full picture.
Two cases in point: We were excited to hear that MemberClicks financial data could be uploaded into QuickBooks. We were not told there was a monthly fee.
The Parent Child feature seemed a perfect answer to our need to link members with their congregations and track congregational involvement. This was a huge selling point for us, however we were not able to make it work and we received no help in thinking through how to make it usable.
Our trainer was always at the ready and knowledgeable. She even called on vacation. The help desk is always there with an answer and always friendly. Only one of our help desk experiences was less that satisfactory. All too often though, the answer is ¿the system doesn¿t do that, but feel free to request a feature upgrade.¿ In requesting features we noticed that some very obvious fixes had been requested and re-requested for 5 years and nothing has been done about it. We were always encouraged by the help desk to suggest changes, but after a while it seemed an empty promise.
The training should guide the user in determining best practices for their situation; perhaps an assessment interview, or a set of questions to help the user and the trainer determine best practices for their particular situation. Our trainer was always able to answer questions but she never asked any except, "Do you have any questions?" The training staff is very skilled in systems but lacks teaching skills. Teachers ask questions and get at the heart of the issue. On several occasions we adopted a certain strategy and then discovered a better way to do it, purely on our own. This could have been avoided if training had been more interactive and proactive.
The fault lies not in the employees but in the focus of the company. You have a very useful product, but innovation needs to continue and keep up with user needs.
I would like to be able to give Memberclicks a five-star review but the piecemeal approach to implementation and the continual offloading of questions to the apparently ignored "features request¿ section makes it impossible for me to do so.

Comments: Our small association has been using MemberClicks for several years after moving from another CMS company and the move has been great. The ease of use for the back end interface is intuitive. If not, there are scads of videos that will walk you through what you need.

The responsiveness of support is great as well. Issues are generally resolved the first time. Several times, issues have been escalated to Engineering and are resolved there on a timely basis.

Comments: I have used MemberClicks in managing two small non-profit professional membership associations since 2008. I'm still using it so I must be satisfied. As Executive Director, I wear all the hats including website "Admin" and must do everything. So I have little time to invest in learning all the "ins and outs" details of website management. Memberclicks has evolved over the several years I've use it in response to internal commitment to improve and in response to user suggestions. It offers much more than I require to satisfy my operations and much more than I can learn and retain given all the varied daily tasks I must perform. I am very pleased that all basic functions I need and more are in place and relatively easy to master and use. Additional capabilities are there plus for me to explore if I need them in the future. A big positive is that I know that I can rely on the very competent and friendly customer service representatives any time I need help. If I have a technical problem, I can't remember how to do something, or I need to know how to do something new, I just call for help and I get it immediately. The online help function works just fine but it usually takes too much time for me to search for answers and read the information returned. I don't always have that much time for searching and reading so I rely heavily on and really appreciate the talented, friendly, and responsive guidance that I receive over the phone via. All the customer service agents are friendly, conversant, and talented. That said, I hope that MemberClicks will continue its ongoing work to make its functions more intuitive for the novice and time-rushed user. Such improvement will require less help from both online help and customer service and provide a more satisfying experience for the customer.

Comments: I've just passed the first anniversary of my association's going live with MemberClicks, and I have no qualms saying that this solution has been a great answer to the needs of my organization. I love the fact that I have control over so much of what we do online, both on our website and with our member database. I appreciate being able to access my association's account on the go, whether on my laptop or my smartphone.

The only drawback I've experienced is that, as with so many nonprofits, the day-to-day demands of managing my association leaves a deficit of time to fully explore and learn the many useful features that MemberClicks has to offer, and to fully impart their benefits to my membership. I have found that many of the online Knowledge Base articles and tutorials provide a good overview, but I'm left with questions about more in-depth situations. However, working with the solution over the past year has helped me to learn what questions to ask, and I've found the customer help desk staff to be very responsive and helpful at least 98% of the time. I look forward to digging deeper and really utilizing the terrific features MemberClicks has to offer.

The system can been a little difficult to navigate at first because there are so many options, but their customer service is always top notch. I have called in and emailed them many times. The are very responsive and want to help. In addition, they provide monthly trainings how the basics of the website and how to use its features. I would recommend MemberClicks to anyone who is looking to build a professional website. The only drawback to their system is that once your site is built, some of the options are limited. Periodical updates on MemberClicks' side of things can solve many of those issues though.

Comments: Our organization used MemberClicks once before and came back to it to create our Member Center website. We were impressed with MemberClicks before, but this time we were even more impressed. Since launching our new website, it's been tricky at times and hard to learn some back-end database stuff, but the MemberClicks teams responds several times a day to my email requests, and when I phone they are so helpful and knowledgeable, and the problem is often resolved. If not and they need more time, you are never left hanging and the associate gets back to you and checks on you. So far all the problems are resolved within one day. The back-end database is easy to use, and there are plenty of answers in their Help Center if you are unsure about something. We are still happy with our choice of going with MemberClicks.

Comments: The web-based access and short ramp-up time have made MemberClicks a good choice for us. We use it for membership sales and record keeping, as well as event transactions and invoicing. For our smaller organization, its affordable use and wide variety of functions are working well for us. We'd like fewer steps in searching for old records and the ability to connect invoices with completed form receipts. Comments: We operate an association of 400 members with a staff of 1.5 people, and we couldn't come close to doing what we do without our Memberclicks software. The learning curve, even with the tutorials, takes awhile, but considering the power of the program that is understandable. The automated invoicing at 60, 30 and 15 days, plus a follow-up when past due alone is worth the small price we pay.

Plus, the ability to store numerous text messages, and then send them out to specific sub-groups is a great feature.

I encountered a small problem just this AM, wrote their help desk, and within two hours the problem was totally solved, plus they answered a related question as well. I can't ask for more!

Comments: Small associations like OSTA are typically run and managed by volunteers who themselves are very busy people in more than one position of responsibility. Finance, communication and membership are particularly difficult as they are typically labor intensive and time consuming. Memberclicks has helped us manage our membership records, streamline our communications with members, and enable electronic payment and billing. The system has made a huge difference and there are many other features that we are anxious to expire and utilize. The administrative interface is sometimes confusing, but the support staff is very friendly and accommodating. Any call has been handled promptly and my issue has always been fixed within 2 minutes. Can't beat it...

Comments: Our small non-profit has used this platform for several years. It has all the capabilities and functionality that we needed to provide a good online experience to our membership base. It has been easy to train association volunteers to update the nuts and bolts of the site themselves, eliminating all the back and forth that can eat up valuable time and resources when volunteers have to communicate their update needs to someone else. For most of our volunteers it's as simple as updating a word document. We also have the functionality to handle our membership subscription and renewal process, event registration, and e-communication strategies.

The implementation process was challenging, because you are able to build your website and database from the ground up. We had many decisions to make about the look/functionality of our site but Chase, our implementation manager, helped guide us in the right direction. The customer services is always friendly and helpful. I will say that MemberClicks can be difficult to learn because there are so many ways to use it. Comments: I had the opportunity to work through some issues with Jordan from the Memberclicks team. He was patient and quick to respond in all of my questions regarding my problems. The product itself is comprehensive and in-depth, and as a new user, a bit overwhelming to use. Once in and comfortable though, it's easily navigated. It takes some initiative to wrap your head around just how how much can actually be done, but their excellent customer service is always quick to reply and there to help. They are on the ball over there!

Comments: I had a nice long call with Charlie this afternoon, as he helped me troubleshoot several different issues that I had. Every time we would fix one, I would say, "Thanks and now I have another question." He never showed any sign of impatience or exasperation, but instead, patiently walked me through the process or corrected the issue for me on his end. Charlie is a rock star in my books!

Comments: I think, overall, MemberClicks is a good product. There are some issues that I would like to see addressed regarding form taking . We are having problems with members of an organization taking a form and changing the info that is already in the system - and is correct - to their personal info because they don't know the owner's password and username. We thought we had a work-around, but it isn't working! What I would like to address, though, is the OUTSTANDING customer service this company offers. They are quick, responsive, and very knowledgeable about their product - and are always nice and friendly. This is definitely a PLUS and we plan to continue using Member Clicks mainly because of this tremendous service they provide to their customers.

Comments: I am the Director of Communications for the National Print Owners Association, a national organization of more than 400 printing company owners.

When we started the association 3 years ago we tried maintaining the membership with an Excel spreadsheet. Once we grew to more than 25 members it was apparent we needed a better solution. MemberClicks was that solution. Their software and services have streamlined our online operations. That allows us to concentrate more on our members.

Comments: Our organization has been with MemberClicks since 2007. During 2008 I became an ASA and have spent many hours over the years speaking with various persons when support was needed, and that has been often!. They have always gone above and beyond to make sure whatever challenge appeared was promptly addressed. When our new website was developed, we had lots, and lots of questions, as I believe we were maybe one of the last to update our system within MemberClicks. The service we received was outstanding! And we are now proud to share our website. When things happen beyond our control, MemberClicks will alert us and keep us informed until the problem has been corrected. Comments: I have been working with MemberClicks for a few months now. While learning to navigate my new website, I've submitted a few online support tickets. Not only are they answered within HOURS of submission, the answers go above and beyond traditional support.

With past products, I would receive a "thank you for your query" email, then wait a day for a real response. Not anymore! MemberClicks takes care of your questions for you right away if they can, and they even go so far as to create what you're asking for, then explain how it was done. Awesome!

I would recommend this service to anyone creating a website for any size organization. The customer support alone makes it worth every penny.

Comments: I called MemberClicks todayto ask for assistance troubleshooting an issue with my members' ability to fill out and submit a form on our website. Chris responded to my question thoughtfully: first going through the extent to which I had tried to find a solution, then a step or two farther than I would have thought to go. He found the solution and I was back in business with two disgruntled members. The problem was solved for them both! Comments: We contracted with MemberClicks last fall 2013. Wearing lots of different hat, I got really busy during the set up period (you will be assigned to a MmClicks specialist who will work with you in setting up your MMClicks account) and unfortunately have not used that service to its full extent.
However, I trully think the Customer Service is the BEST! I have been focusing on MemberClicks since the last few months and every time I had questions they were answered in less than 24 hours. Many times the Help Team has stepped up and showed me how to complete something.

I am getting our system ready to allow our members to login and connect with each other. We are really excited about this next step!

Comments: MemberClicks customer service is exemplary! Their team is supremely knowledgeable in their product and it's use/abilities. Not only do they handle your issue with you, but often they go above and beyond, at times even helping you with simple IT issues which may be affecting your usage. On top of this, they follow up after every service call to ensure that you are completely satisfied. In this day and age, where it becomes increasingly more difficult to get a human being on the phone, let alone one who is adequately trained, I find this to be one of their greatest selling points.

The product itself is a good one, and they are continually working to improve upon it which is exciting as well.

Comments: Our non-profit has been using Memberclicks since last fall to manage our membership and website. It has been a great investment, and we are so much more efficient now. For years we manually tracked our membership and email lists in Excell spreadsheets and were constantly having problems with mistakes and updates. Memberclicks now automates everything for us and allows our all volunteer board to focus on more important things. Our new website looks great too. The Memberclicks system does have a pretty steep learning curve, but it is completely worth it once you know how to use it. Plus their friendly help team is only a phone call away.

Comments: I help run an international association and I am charge of the website/Memberclicks. The system is very robust with many options to customize with is a good thing. However, it can become complicated and that is where Memberclicks Customer Services comes in and shines! I love having the option of calling in or submitting a ticket. The response time on a ticket is less than 24 hours and the hold time on calling in is never more than a few minutes if any.

Comments: Hello, I submitted an online help request and received a response asking me a question within 1 hour. I answered immediately and didn't receive another response until 23 hours later. As much as we pay and for good customer service, online services should be immediate. I called and spoke with Jordan and again with Haley, they were very nice. The online customer service person was Charlie. The rating above is for Jordan and Haley. Since there is only 1 rating above the them, my rating for Charlie is 0 stars for each category.

Comments: The Memberclicks product serves as a great tool for an association looking to set up a website and manage membership. There are features like Forms, Calendar, Contact / Newsletter Management, etc, and a private "facebook-like" feature called Social Community. The website articles can be modified with a "WYSIWYG" editor (What You See is What You Get), so that takes the mystery out of learning code. It's also neat to see tracked links in our newsletters.
However, that being said, I have had my fair share of frustrations with all of these features, mostly with the limitations of usability, lack of customization for more advanced and modern looks, and glitches with Media Manager, and editors. Though I am happy with the value and customer support of the product, I learned I have to have patience to work through several issues. The forms and calendar look particularly plain, unfortunately, and are not eye-catching. Sometimes I think of a feature that could be updated, and note that *some* have undergone those improvements, but yet there are many that still have not been tended to. Additionally there are some parts of the website that I just don't think our members will really catch onto, for example managing E-lists, or internal messaging, and there are "out of the box" setups for the Social Community which means that we cannot take out less relevant tabs. Overall, there are lots of components of the Memberclicks product that make managing our communication channels fairly easy and at a great value.

I must say, that the CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS INCREDIBLE. The Help Team is always ready to answer questions, walk through problems, follow up, check in even 2-3 days later. With the Help Team, I would give the entire MemberClicks service a gold star! Thank you so much for listening to your customers and special thanks to: Teresa, Quasi, Jordan, Erica, Brenda, Charlie, Haley, Nate, and Caroline, for being supportive, and professional.

It honestly is hard to say an overall rating because I use Google and their products but I know this is not the same kind of service. I have not tried other website hosting products that ALSO manage members. (Mailchimp for newsletters, Google Forms for forms, Yahoo groups for e-lists.. etc) .

Comments: Our organization changed our database & website over to MemberClicks this year, and it has been nothing but a positive experience! We have had very few issues (most of them have been user error on our part), and when we did have them, the MemberClicks Team went right to work to help us out. I've never had to wait for an answer from anybody on their team for more than half a day. If the person responding to my request doesn't know the answer, they find someone who does. The Help Desk has been incredibly helpful and has been able to answer all of our questions and provide us with the understanding to go forward on our own, without having to call the Help Desk for everything. I do wish there was the opportunity for a little more customization on the site and invoices for added logos, clip art, etc, but that is all really cosmetic and not a reflection of the usefulness of the product. Comments: I have been with MemberClicks since February of 2011. Although I am generally pleased with the way my site looks and the effort put forth by the Help Team, there are a number of limitations that are exceedingly frustrating.

1) The inability to organize search results. This is a common function on many other sites -- it is something users expect.
2) Selection sets should be limited or unlimited as the situation dictates.
3) The system is painfully slow.
4) The search function should allow users to enter the first letter and to have all applicable words starting with that letter populate on a drop-down menu in situations where this is viable.
5) There should be a way to put instructions in the Edit Profile function. My members simply don't remember the rules from one time to the next.
6) The event list should show the ending times on events that end the same day. Why even enter the ending time if it's not going to show up?
7) Irrelevant attributes should be able to be filtered out of search results as desired.
8) I've had more than my share of technical problems with my platform, a couple of which still haven't been solved weeks or months later.

Comments: We recently had a major transfer of our website to MemberClicks and opened up our membership renewal forms this last week. One of the forms was causing membership years to move two years instead of one. I was in a panic, because we didn't catch this until late on Thursday afternoon right before a long holiday weekend (of course!). I sent a frantic email to MemberClicks, and they had the entire form corrected by the time I reached the office on Monday morning. I know I can always count on their help and support. Not only did they fix the error, but Jordan went through and made sure the other forms we had setup were also correct. I appreciate this extra step, and his attention to detail in letting us know exactly what the problem was. When you are with MemberClicks, you are in such good hands!

Comments: We've been using MemberClicks for several years and we're very happy. The system is easy to use and whenever we need assistance we can find help through the many online resources or by emailing the support team. We recently had an issue with a refunding a registration that was already paid within an invoice. We asked for help and were blown away with the innovative solution they came up with. MemberClicks updated the registration form for us and provided the steps to implement the change in future forms. The MemberClicks team has been great from the sales process, to implementation, through the live product. Comments: We're really not having a great experience with Memberclicks. Whilst the content management of the system is relatively simple to use, it still has many quirks that you end up learning by trial and error. The event managment and multi currency payment processes are proving the most tricky parts to manage. Working for a volunteer org, we have lots of busy volunteers who need intuitive systems that do things right first time. Our experience of MemberClicks has not been like that at all. The loadspeeds of the pages are simply unacceptable - who has a member that will hang around for over 10 seconds each time they want to log in or click from one page to another????? Since implementing this system, my job has gone from building the community to being technical support for the community. We are losing members because of our technology solution and engagement is hitting an all time low.......Whilst Memberclicks is working to support us, they are not able to help with many of our ongoing issues as we are not their 'target market' - would have been nice to know that during the sales process when we were being wooed as Memberclicks wanted a global organisation with a large European presence amongst their clients.....not after. Sorry Memberclicks - in our opinion you have great people but a poor product.

Comments: Seven years ago I managed a MemberClicks driven association website and the experience was not very good. Now with a new association and a need to switch website providers, I reluctantly included MemberClicks. So happy I did! Not only did they provide the services my two person staff (me, included) need; they do at a third less the expense.

The big thrill was the personal service. By its nature, web-based membership management software suffers from out-of-the-box limitations. It won't do exactly what I want, but comes close. For example, one-to-many database structures are not supported. These are very helpful providing deeper member information, like listing a number of committees, products purchased, etc. for each person. We also use these for web submission forms for conference session proposals.

Though MC doesn't allow it, it does allow integrating .asp pages within a MC article page. We point the frame to our old forms and database on our servers, so all is well.

The people on the other side of the phone makes the transition from a few local ISP experts to MC a pleasure. They are AVAILABLE! They are also knowledge, pleasant, and helpful, but that is gravy compared to being available. I call Quasi yesterday with a list of four questions, and bang, bang, bang, bang knocked them all out in one quick call. Thanks.

Comments: Pro: Anytime I have been truly stuck and on of course on a tight deadline, the MemberClicks support team has come through for me with flying colors and lots of patience! I really enjoy having one vendor to work with too that handles Blogs, email blasts, our website and then on the back end offers the database and online forms. I never have to get stuck in the middle with vendors pointing at each other when a problem occurs.
Con: I wish we had a few more training videos to access online for our members to use to teach them some basics.
Overall: As I have learned more about the system, I continually discover additional features that are helpful to us. I don't feel that any software is absolutely "perfect", however MemberClicks is right on target for our association in so many ways.

Comments: Pros:
-Very helpful customer service reps who can help with nearly any situation that may arise.
-Relatively painless roll out of new website and member database.
-Offers forms with advanced features like recognizing members upon login and adjusting pricing of conference attendance accordingly.
-Member list-serv option offers easy way to reach all members.
-Online training and FAQs are available on a variety of topics. This means we don't have to train our successors on how to use MemberClicks- the support is built in.
-The price was definitely right. We're a non-profit and couldn't afford a lot of other products on the market.
-Can link forms to Paypal or Moolah to easily process payments.

Cons:
-Website pages have several layers of permissions required (on page itself and on navigation menu), which means you could create a page, and without closer review of the permission settings it may not be visible to everyone.
-Sometimes emails sent through the website platform (versus the list-serv address) don't go through at all.
-Form creation is VERY counter-intuitive. It's necessary to watch a webinar and be on a service call with customer service in order to figure out the process initially. If the interface were more like Google Forms or SurveyMonkey it would be much easier.
-Only ASAs (authorized users) can be in touch with customer service reps directly by phone, and you have to pay extra for additional ASAs past the allowed 2 within your organization.

Overall I would still recommend MemberClicks over its competitors because it is a good product, at its core. I would describe myself and my organization as satisfied at this point, and would add that the customer service and information (via email newsletters and MC website) provided are top notch. We would look to MC in the future for possible improvements in the form creation experience and messaging options within the system, but those are small issues in the grand scheme of things.

Comments: Our Association is a small office of 3 who serves over 900 members. We began using MemberClicks just over a year ago and it has truly made us serve our members better. We decided we needed an Association Management software after realizing our old outdated database and clunky website was not serving the needs of our members. After much searching we found MemberClicks who seemed like an affordable option. After signing onto MemberClicks we were assigned an implementation manager to help us through the beginning process. The implementation process was a 3 month process were we developed our new website and transferred over our database. This process was difficult and time consuming, but well worth it at the end. We are now well passed the implementation process and have found that we are able to do so much more now that we use MemberClicks. We now use online registration for our events, can accept donations online, and are able to post resources for our members and the public to use. The MemberClicks support team has been wonderful, anytime we have a question or an issue they work quickly to resolve it. They also have a forum where MemberClicks users can request changes or developments to the software. The MemberClicks software has helped us so much that can not imagine going back to our old system. That being said, MemberClicks is best used by Associations that have staff - not rotating board members. It does take a while to learn how to utilize it to its full ability. We continue to make changes to our database and website, and love that we are able to customize it to fit our needs. Overall, our Association has greatly benefited from using MemberClicks.

Comments: We were researching solutions for overhauling our very outdated membership database, website, etc. when we came across MC among some other solutions. We did a sales tutorial, got a cost estimate and chose MC because it seemed like the best bang for our buck and it offered just enough hand-holding for us (another solution we looked into was double the price and the smaller one was 100% DIY). While we have had some hiccups along the way, overall we are so glad we chose MC, and our database, website and member relations are +150% improved. My coworker and I made the commitment to learn the product by taking the tutorials, one-on-one trainings, webinars, talking with Customer Service, etc. For about 3 months of implementation, we really only focused on learning/using MC. That has paid off. We use MC every day, and when we don't know how to do something, we can usually figure it out based on our level of training with the product. If we still need help, CS is good. In most cases, if we can't figure it out, it's because MC can't do what we are trying to do. That is probably the only frustrating thing - MC does have limitations. It seems like they try to listen to the client pool and make changes based on our recommendations; however, these updates can take a long time, and our suggestions aren't always included in the list of implemented ideas. Pros: tiered subscriptions, good customer service, fully implemented database that can be incorporated into website, email messages, forms, etc., highly searchable database (can create lots of different saved searches based on very specific search criteria), user-friendly layout of the web portal, many tasks follow the same basic steps (i.e. creating a web page, creating a menu, laying out an email); transaction fees are capped as a way to control costs. Cons: there is a learning curve to the software, rates have gone up, some tasks are clunky/take several steps to accomplish, some of the organization doesn't allow for customization (i.e. the message report center doesn't allow for deletions or customized filing, which results in MANY pages of reports to sort through), sometimes the system feels slow. Like I said, we are happy with MemberClicks, and even though we get frustrated sometimes, we would choose them again.

Comments: Excellent customer service, friendly and professional folks, and a great product are what I have come to expect from MemberClicks. And they deliver every time. Problems are resolved quickly and efficiently, questions are answered, and concerns are addressed. We area small nonprofit with an even smaller budget. Having MemberClicks behind the scenes of our website gives up peace of mind that all the technical details will be handled and our website will meet our needs. All products have room for improvement and this company welcomes, and even implements when appropriate, customer feedback and suggestions. I would recommend MemberClicks to anyone looking for an easy-to-use, affordable website and database solution.

Comments: I recently read a review regarding MemberClicks (MC) that in my opinion was completely the opposite of my experience. My company has been doing business with MC for approximately 6 years now. We currently run 7 associations on it and are in the process of migrating another from Yourmembership to MC. I have used several other AMS products and we absolutely love MC. It like using a Mac compared to a Windows based machine. MC is intuitive, easy to use, reliable and a great value. What I like most about MC is the company and the people. They are responsive, accountable, and always working to improve their products. Let's be honest, every company runs into roadblocks at times. MC has had its share BUT they are accessible when problems occur and they work quickly to resolve the issue. I want to stress accessible because that is not the experience I have had with other companies. I always get a live person when I call the Help Desk. They even extended their hours at our request to accommodate those of us based on the West coast. I would recommend MC to anyone looking to use their product!

Comments: As a consultant to a small association, I was tasked with sourcing an affordable AMS. I am shocked that I wasn't fired for recommending Memberclicks. The general functionality and features aligned well with our needs. However, the actual implementation fell far short of filling our most basic needs. The system is not capable of generating revenue or attendance reports. There is a button for REPORTS, it doesn't actually generate any. We were not able to generate a basic attendance report for our events. The email campaign manager is tedious and difficult to manage. The opt-out feature is an "all or nothing" proposition that can result in an immediate reduction in community engagement and communication. They have created a vibrant user community through their online forum. Unfortunately, most of the discussions focus on the products shortcomings. On the bright side, they have an excellent and highly responsive customer support team. Unfortunately, there software development team does nothing more than digital triage as most feature improvements have been "in development" for years. You can actually see the timeline in their forums. Needless to say, we started looking for another solution within 6 months of our installation.

To that end, we've structured our relationships with our customers on a month-to-month basis to ensure that our clients do not feel trapped if they ever feel their needs are not being met. In this particular case, we agree that the MemberClicks software is not a good fit for the customer's operational requirements. In our correspondence about the situation, we offered a full refund of their fees. Unfortunately, that solution was refused and the group decided to remain dissatisfied with the product. Despite the refusal, we credited six months of our service fees moving forward while they searched for a new provider and refunded the monthly fees they had incurred to that point. We deeply regret that we were not able to meet this customer's needs and we will continue to support them until they can find a partner to meet their expectations.

Pros: Process for set-up and launch is straight forward, even for a volunteer unfamiliar with HTML & web development.
Customer service for ongoing support is outstanding. Working with the MemberClicks staff for website updates and event posts is very easy.
Our members have enjoyed the event registration options and the ability to control their profile information beyond the organizations privacy policy.
The website has become a great tool to provide information to our members in the form of downloads.
The receipt system has made handling event registrations much easier for our volunteers which takes less of their time and better utilizes our volunteer resources.
The products are updated frequently with meaningful upgrades that result directly from customer feedback. Our comments and suggestions are taken seriously and I have actually had a representative from MemberClicks contact me for clarification and to offer assistance based upon a comment made.

Cons: Although sending mass emails using the website is a feature, the lack of a simple interface like some other online mass email software makes it difficult for volunteers that do not know HTML. I am looking forward to improvements in this area as new releases come out.
At times receipt retrieval results in an "Oops" screen but can be worked around by logging in immediately from the address bar...it's strange but I know they are working on it.

Overall: As a volunteer for a non-profit organization tasked with researching vendors to provide a website with online member directory, event calendar and event registration that would bring our member services to the next level, I have found MemberClicks to be a fantastic solution. They offer a great value in both the immediate set-up and the ongoing maintenance for our site.

Pros: Four major "pros": The program/system in general is very robust, with a lot of features, some of which I am still learning about. Second, the customer service has been very helpful and supportive, with prompt responses to the written questions, and helpful guidance with phone questions. Third, the membership system is very good and also robust. I have yet to find something that the membership system cannot do. Finally, the membership application and event registration forms are very good. In the membership application form the membership renewal notifications are very good. In the event registration forms I am able to provide a membership renewal option to the members by using the group selection feature where I can exclude nonmembers from seeing this option.

Cons: While the designing of the form are getting easier, entering the content requires html expertise. Why can't the content of the forms have a comparable system to the page editor program in the page management system?
Regarding the page editor, the new program is less user friendly than the previous program. Also, the html coding is more complex. I believe it makes greater use of CSS, which I am less familiar with.

Overall: 1. Could you provide some guidance on understanding and using the new page editor, and the html programming now being used.
2. An index to the printed support documents is greatly needed. Presently it is more a hodge podge collection of guides and technical steps than it is a useful reference manual that is indexed with clear headings that you can click on and go to.
3. Conduct a survey of the ASAs, asking what we need training in. And repeat the survey a minimum of once a year, and preferably every six months.

Pros: We had an AMS that was extremely inflexible and going with Memberclicks has allowed all users to have access to the software allowing anyone in the office to answer questions regarding membership. Real time processing has allowed us greater flexibility with external vendors and capturing information for their needs. We are able to slice and dice our information as it suits our needs instead of going with specified reports.

Cons: I only have minor cons which have to do with the specifics of certain functions or forms.

Overall: We are very happy to give members access to their accounts to update their information as they see fit. We are now able to capture additional information about our membership giving us the capability to direct communication to members which are specific to their work etc. It will allow us to do additional marketing efforts to existing members as well as new members in ways we would never have been able to with our old system.

Pros: Lots of great features, very responsive customer support (implementing user suggestions, training webinars, good technical phone help. After the learning curve it's easy to update content and do routing maintenance.

Cons: Editor is slightly klunky, but this is the same on almost all user-modifiable products I've seen. Forms module is a bit confusing and labor-intensive.

Overall: I'd recommend this product to other small to medium associations.

I would ABSOULUTELY recommend this product to other organizations without hesitation!

Our database is now cleaner than it has been in years
Forms integrate so well we do all business online
Helped us automate Most membership functions which was
critical for an all volunteer association. (We really have NO paid
assistance and have turned the organization completely around!
Memberclicks staff show strong and regular evidence of
Paying close attention to what users are asking and what
we need to do our jobs better. In short, the product has
done nothing but get better and better each month!
Our website is so easy to update that the members have been
amazed at the fact that our website is now alive.
We finally have a members only section!!!! (something our
former Exec, Director said could not be done)

Cons: While the forms are great, the functionality of all the fields available and how the forms will interact are often not immediately apparent to the non-web geek webmaster! (like me)

The forms require a good deal of time and attention to learn but once you have it, not so bad. AND MemberClicks staff are always ready to help both via email and on the phone. Thanks!

Overall: I would ABSOULUTELY recommend this product to other organizations without hesitation!
