Pros
- perfect for early career therapists
- user-friendly, intuitive interface: started using it as soon as I downloaded it
- features for managing both the clinical and the "business": session notes, client data, invoices, insurance forms, intake forms, payment records, scheduling, etc.

Overall
As a therapist just starting out in private practice I felt like I was out at sea. I was fine with the clinical aspect, but managing a practice was not something I learned in school or on internship. I'm so glad that one of my supervisors suggested I look at Confidant.
This software allowed me to manage my schedule and all of my clinical and financial record-keeping easily, quickly, and all in one location. By integrating all of this data, Confidant makes it simple to generate reports and invoices without having to input any new data. Last night a client paid me for a session and asked me to prepare an invoice for the next session. All I did was write my session note and enter her payment into the database. The session was already in the scheduler, and her identifying information and address were already entered, so generating an invoice was virtually a 1-click process. Instead of waiting for the next session, I was able to email her a pdf of her invoice before she got to her car!

Pros
I love the user friendly layout and interface. I also love the ability to import files and generate Billing Statements and Reports.
I am most excited about the next 3.0 version's ability to support direct electronic billing, which I desparately need, especially for MaineCare and Medicare.
Cons
The templates for each client document, such as the Biopsychosocial Assessment are formated in such a way in Word, that it is very difficult to reformat them and add headers, etc. without throwing off the formatting. It would be great, if each document was created without text fields, and boxes, so that we had more controll over out customization needs.
Overall
Overall, Confidant is BY FAR, the most user-friendly, clean and appealing, robust, affordable practice software I have ever seen in my pretty exhaustive search. GREAT JOB and THANK YOU to all who have worked on bringing this to fruition.

Pros
I have a solo practice and Confidant helps me run the business aspects of the practice without my having had to spend much time learning how to use it. It's pretty intutitve. I'd recommend it.
Cons
Doesn't have electronic billing, although customer service tells me they'll be adding that shortly.
Overall
Good product -- and very well worth the price! From what I've seen, I don't think that anything out there can touch it on pricing.
