Pros: Its very useful for mistakes that may take place right away. I love how its easy to maneuver around the software.

Cons: I think the service is really good to have. I don't see anything being wrong. Very supportive to the tasks that have to be completed.

Overall: The great assistance of being able to complete our tasks at hand in a timely effective manner.

Servant Keeper has been tremendously helpful for our church.

Pros: We've used Servant Keeper for many years now mostly for finances. However, it has been a huge success in sending urgent messages to our congregation.

Cons: Haven't found much I don't like about Servant Keeper. I do wish they offered more training to our local area. Most trainings are done an hour or so away from us, but understandably so since we live in a small community.

Pros: USER-FRIENDLY, love being able to get necessary reports for certain times of the year for example Statistics and Annual Conference.

Cons: I don't have any dislikes regarding this software. I don't like having a list of the error messages so I can just look them up and know what to do.

Pros: Contributions reports are easy to use. Software Servant Keeper eight is better than seven. This software is not easy to use.

Cons: Servant Keeper is not a user friendly computer software. The instruction manual is not quite the book I would send out. It needs to be more directional on the different screens to use.

Overall: Keeping up with the contribution on a daily basis.

Pros: I love everything about SKPR. It's that easies system I have ever used. I don't have to keep paper trail. All though some things I do just because I like to. I love it and learning it on a daily basis.

Overall: The benefits is that I can now use the Cloud from Home and also at church. I have freedom to work anyplace I choose. There is an option to use my android but have not yet tried it. But I will.

Pros: You can add many information about members. For administration, members and contributions. It gives good report on contributions.

Cons: Very difficult to correct mistakes. It does not include church financial transactions. So you have to look for another software to handle financial business. You can't easily merge duplicate members names like you do it in QuickBooks.

Pros: Everything is in one place. I love that the software is cloud based. I love the customer support too.

Cons: Need a mobile app to register people; need a mobile app for SK Giving, and need skgiving information to import all information to the database not just the money.

Pros: It is simple...and affordable.

Cons: Inflexibility....there should be a way to cross reference couples with different last names....to run a directory...archaic..

Overall: The ability to combine membership and contribution into one database...will find out at the end of the year if it really helps with end of year tax letters...

Hi Lin, thank you for using Servant Keeper. We must have dropped the ball when we talked with you. You can filter on anything you can dream up withe reports and directories. Please call us as you can also certainly do cross referencing in the directory for different last names in a family/couple etc. There are also many directories and reports to choose from all with options and all directories are completely customizable. You also have the online directory. Regarding the survey, we don't make or host this review site, it is managed by Gartner, a third party website. Pros: It is so user friendly and has many functions. I like the fact that it has a module for the data base and another for contributions.

Cons: My only complaint is the pricing arrangement for the Cloud version. I would request a mid-range price for customers who need more than 3 users but less than 10.

Overall: It serves the needs of our church for a data base and contributions system.

Actually for version 8 you get 30 users with level two. level 1 works out to about $10/user. A theoretical 5 user plan would be $50 but we decided to give customers an extra 25 users because it's best if they can give volunteers and teachers their own login. Pros: I like the variety of email lists that I can create, the ease of creating groups and setting up their criteria. I appreciate the amount of and variety of information that can be listed under each member.

Cons: Most of our trouble has been connecting our word documents to the various emails that we send out. We have had difficulty establishing usable interfaces.

Overall: It enables us to stay in contact with our members and guests. It also helps us integrate contribution information with our membership records.

Attachments are often governed by email services. Some services see Word Documents as potential threats. If you save the attachements as PDF (SK can save any report as a PDF) you may have better luck. Pros: It is expansive, yet easy to use. Very impressed with it speed and its ability merge effortlessly. It avoids redundancy. Also I like is ability link quickly with background checks and donations.

Cons: It could be a little bit more intuitive. It would be better if the software show a path way to the possible implementation of AI.

Overall: It has the ability to make my work load a lot less labor intensive. It will shortened the amount of time I use in front of the computer.

Pros: Love the custom features so that you can set things up the way your church needs them. Support has been good, questions quickly answered. We ordered the Guidebooks along with the software and I highly recommend those.

Cons: Reports feature is good but could be improved. They do not provide every example of reporting that we would like, and creating our own has been difficult to figure out how to do. There doesn't seem to be a feature on creating a report from scratch, rather than using a template that doesn't contain what you want. So I have been modifying what I need using some of the reports then taking them into Word to create what I need.

Overall: Ease of use.

Pros: I like the groups keeper the most! I like being able to create a group of the particular members I need to reach for our newsletter, prayer chain, small groups, worship, etc. I can create a group of members and run an array of member and contribution reports for use by the church staff, volunteers, committee and session members.

We are now on the Cloud, which allows us to use the Mobile Ministry and Greet and Attend apps, as well as the New Online Office! The Online Office is extremely helpful. It allows me the capability to update or add member information from my cell phone or tablet, and that information goes right into the Servant Keeper 8 program. When I am at a small group, class or just bump into someone I haven't seen in a while, I can get my phone out and update their contact information right there. Our members have access to the online directory, they can view their contributions and update a lot of their information on the Online Office.

Volunteers and staff can have access to the program from their own computers, so, now they can volunteer to do things at a time that's convenient for them, from wherever it's convenient for them. "Many hands make light work."

We can give users and members access to different areas of Servant Keeper based upon their needs.

Servant Keeper 8 integrates with several other programs that we use, like QuickBooks. It has also introduced us to other programs that are available like MailChimp, EventBrite and Vanco.

Pros: I like the features it has for tracking contributions and attendance. You can also make a directory.

Cons: It took awhile to learn how to use it, but I've figured it out and love using it. It's so helpful!!!

Pros: The core features of this software are absolutely spot on. Our trustees, membership, and ushers are so pleased with how this software makes our work a breeze. Makes church administration so much easier. While some controls and layouts need work, the infrastructure is solid and the features are great for membership management and financial record keeping and reporting. Very easy on the pocket for small churches too.

Cons: The user interface needs improvement in layout of controls and workflow for quality in appearance and presentation and user prompting. But features far make up for these shortfalls.

Pros: We like that Servant Keeper is customizeable to our church and our situation, making this software versatile.

Cons: That we can only install it on one computer without paying more for it. The cloud option is simply too expensive for most smaller churches.

Pros: Simple to use. Well designed. Does very well everything it was designed to do. Much is automated for you.

Overall: We have used Servant Keeper for years. It is easy to use and has every function we will ever need. Could not find a better program for what it is designed to do. The support people have been top notch. I would highly recommend their software.

Recommendations to other buyers: We had used other software in the past. Servant Keeper is not overkill and is great value. We have used it weekly for years and it has met every need we have ever come up with.

Pros: Very simple to learn and use.

Cons: There is nothing I could think of.

Overall: I have used the software for over 20 years now. I love how simple it is to learn and use. It doesn't matter if you are a small or large church, it's the best! The support is outstanding. Every time I had a problem, the help was courteous and friendly and knowledgeable. I love the new upgrades over the years. It is user-friendly.

Comments: As we were looking for a new program to track contributions, we came upon SK, we reviewed the online information which led to a call to SK. The information we reviewed as well as the phone call were all positive. I have found the program to be easily understood, I was about 10 weeks behind in entering our contribution after a couple of days of entering the basic information I was able to catch up the backlog. I am excited about the different reports and other things that I can do, the time saving of not needing to retype some of the information that we might use is a Blessing. I have spoken with 2 or 3 different people at SK for various reasons and have found them very helpful and excellent in their explanations.
I would highly recommend this program. I have not used all of the features but the ones I have used are wonderful.

Comments: I volunteered to handle the long-overdue church directory only to discover the software the office had been using was defunct and there was no way to export the data. The minister had already selected SK (thank goodness!) but it had never been implemented for several reasons that had nothing to do with the software itself. Sometimes life just gets in the way!

I started from the ground up, entering about 1000 members and, yesterday, after 60 days of part time data entry (as my work schedule permitted), we printed our first "in house" church directory!

It's significant to note that we began actually using SK the FIRST WEEK of installation. We started with the regular contributors and Sunday school enrollees and the church secretary began using SK to track contributions and attendance that very first week.

We highly recommend Servant Keeper.

The SK Help Desk was been extremely helpful every step of the way, but the software is so straightforward and easily understood, that we really haven't needed them much.

Overall: When we were looking at the product our sales person was very helpful in determining how to best utilize Servant Keeper. We were able to import our records from Access in a very short period of time (15 Minutes). The program is self explanatory and very very easy to use and learn. In addition, we will be able to gather all the information needed easily. What a bonus

Recommendations to other buyers: I used to work for another church software company (actually 2). I found this software to be very user friendly, providing us all the information needed and a very reasonable cost. (Less than half of the other software). As a former trainer for the other software companies, I am in awe of this product

Comments: I am a new user of Servant Keeper. It is an incredibly powerful organizational tool that is easy to learn and use. I love the different apps that are available to link back to the database that provide easy to use tools for administrators and congregants alike. My favorite tool is SK Notify. It gives me and other leaders a clean and professional way to send bulk emails and texts to specific groups that are generated from Servant Keeper 8. If you're looking for an easy to use program to help with all your church organizational and administrative needs, don't look for individual programs that may or may not work well with each other - go with Servant Keeper.

Pros: Easy of navigation, yet extremely comprehensive in depth.

Cons: I have not found enough differences to justify both speed tasks and a regular task bar. I also found the User Manual (Contributions especially) in need of reprint. Many index pages are of by two (2) and the user needs to add 2 to most page numbers.
The author makes some assumptions about the reader: 1. That they have a working knowledge of the entire system when reading about a specific task, 2. There are words or topics missing in the index which makes it difficult to navigate through the book.

Overall: The migration to Servant Keeper from another software management program has exceeded all expectations. We migrated our data files over on a Friday morning and the staff was entering the Sunday offerings the following Monday morning without any issues or concerns. Our time to post the offerings and prepare the deposit documents was reduced by over 40%. By the end of the third week of use, the VANCO Payment Systems software were linked to the Servant Keeper program, and the Servant Keeper software was totally integrated into the QuickBooks Premier Edition 2017 Non-Profit software. The Importing and Exporting of the data between the three (3) programs has exceeded our expectations.
By the end of the first month the Finance Committee received at their monthly meeting, in addition to their standard financial reports, additional reports generated from the vast number of report options available from the Servant Keeper Report Manager. (We discovered that the Report Manager was so powerful that we could within 60 seconds not only could we select the Reports menu, the Report Manager, and the Criteria for the report, the report was displayed on the screen and the printing was usually completed in less than 50 seconds.)
The Membership module has also exceeded all expectations. By the end of the first week our Pastor's smartphone was programmed to access the Church's Servant Keeper data base and within hours it was put into use as well. Our former management program had limited information about our members and we are taking advantage of the vast number of data fields to gather and enter the information. We will be launching later this year the option to make it possible for members to access the member portal that will be added to our website. This will benefit both our members and our staff to update and maintain the family records.
There is no doubt that Servant Keeper software is a very powerful, but easy to use, management program. In the business environment of which I was involved in the design and implementation of software programs such as Servant Keeper would be rated in the top 10% without a doubt. There is no doubt that a software program of this caliber would be significantly more expensive to acquire and administer. If a staff member has a reasonable working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs, they can replicate the experience we have had and the support that has been provided to us from Servant Keeper.

Recommendations to other buyers: One of the additional powers of the SK software is the linking to other software systems ie: VANCO, QuickBooks, Transmodus, and others like these, yet there is very little in the manual to help the user link the systems. This area could be improved.

Comments: We have used Servant Keeper for 9-10 years (going by memory). They have steadily improved the product. Moving to the cloud made this platform much more useful for our staff. When it all works - I would give 5 stars on the ratings above. Until this month I would have given nothing less than 4 stars. The Customer Service people are lovely but have no ability to make things happen. There are problems with the speed of the program and at times it freezes up. Part of that is Servant Keeper and part of that is the location where we happen to log in. This year we switched our online giving to Servant Keeper. It was a smooth change over. There is a lag time between the gift being given online and Servant Keeper's posting of the gifts to our account. Then....the yearly giving statements went out this January (which were generated so smoothly). 55 online donations given throughout the year did not show up on the giving statements (the money did go to the account correctly - it just did not show up on the contributor statement). Now we are having to manually correct these statements. Servant Keeper's response to this is they are working on an upgrade (which will cost us) but there has been no visible effort made. This is not acceptable. With the size of our church/staff/options we choose - we have a sizable time and money investment in this platform. Even so, we expect to be leaving Servant Keeper soon. kblankenship@findcommunity.net

Since posting our review 5 hours ago, Servant Keeper has contacted us and corrected problems/offered help in numerous areas and offered us the new update for free. We are very pleased at this renewed enthusiasm to respond. I hope it will soon result in 5 stars across the board & us staying with Servant Keeper.

Pros: Having so much information stored and accessible easily and in one place.

Cons: The cost can be prohibitive to smaller congregations and those with limited budgets.

Overall: The church I pastored previously had been using ServantKeeper for some time and had folks trained to use it and keep it up. Serving a congregation without it now has me greatly missing the ease, accessibility, and organization of ServantKeeper. Our church secretary had given me the overview on how to find different things things in the program and I was basically ready to use it myself. It makes doing anything with finances, giving, and membership so easy and efficient. Instead of tracking down folders and hunting for information, anything you need is a quick search away. I wish it was available at every church!

Recommendations to other buyers: Get it if you can, it'll free up so much time and space in your ministry and administration.

Great customer service.

Cons: Feels dated & slow. User experience is clunky and not intuitive.

Overall: This software does everything I need it to, but is far from intuitive, and is very slow. It feels like software from the early 90's, even though we upgraded to the newest version on the cloud. I actually dread looking up addresses, because it feels like it takes a long time. Additionally, setting up reports feels like wading through a swamp of choices, instead of it being more user friendly and intuitive. If we hadn't recently updated to the cloud version, in hopes of it not feeling like an old DOS program, I think I would have chosen a different software.
That said, the customer service it outstanding. The cost is reasonable. The number of features offered is more than we'll ever use.

Cons: Wish it had a module for Accounting. Quick Books isn't really designed for churches although that is what we use.
Wish the "Directory" portion of the Membership Module had more flexibility with regard to font size and the number of names on a page.

Overall: We took a long time to make the decision to purchase Servant Keeper. We already have another church software program but Servant Keeper is much easier to use and gives us what we want.

Pros: It maintains a database of members and friends of the parish. Once info is captured it is there forever. Can produce picture directories of the church. A vast variety of reports, wholly adaptable, can be produced. The contribution statements are outstanding.

Cons: Because of its flexibility, there are choices that have to be made. Once set up, familiarity will lead to comfortability and ease of use.

Overall: My current parish is the third church that I have implemented ServantKeeper. I used to live in Maryland and then retired to Northern Wisconsin. Had ServantKeeper in MD and loved it then and now. With each parish, we examined the capabilities and ease of use before purchasing it. It is very flexible and adaptable. Couldn't be more pleased!

Cons: The font is smaller than I prefer. There seems to be no way to enlarge it.

Overall: We evaluated several software products before choosing Servant Keeper. It appeared more intuitive than others to all our testers. Once installed, it has met all our expectations. It is very flexible with its many user defined fields and the ability to rename those set by SK. It is saving us much time and effort over the way we were doing things. Everything is in one place now. The Help Desk support has been extremely helpful and patient.

Pros: Basic and easy to use if you understand databases.

Cons: Notes section does not automatically notate when someone makes a change to a profile.
When updating family information , it doesn't always carry update to all family members. It asks which members need that update, great feature, but then doesn't always make the updates.

Overall: I feel like SK is a pretty standard database. Pretty easy to work if you are familiar with databases. Missing some key pieces and not always user friendly.

Recommendations to other buyers: The help option hasn't been helpful to find answers. That is why I say this is easy to use IF you have a good grasp on how to use databases.

Overall: I use this software on a daily basis. I am able to find a single person or email an entire subgroup fairly quickly. I do wish it didn't take so many clicks to get get the information I'm looking for, and I wish that I had more search options like being able to search by the first name, etc.

Comments: To say that Servant Keeper saved my bacon would be a total understatement. Our old membership software was so confusing and wasn't user-friendly at all. Printing a set of envelopes took 4 hours -- with multiple, very-lengthy calls to customer support, and literally dozens of steps to complete the task.

Fast-forward to Servant Keeper. I ran our first set of church-wide envelopes yesterday. The process to initiate this printing, as a brand-new user, took less than one minute. The only time limitation is how fast our printer can print!

This is my first week using Servant Keeper and I've already set up our Spanish-language parishioners in a group (just by renaming one of the available check-boxes) so our church communication can skyrocket and be customized based on each family's language.

This flexibility is only one of the many things that Servant Keeper offers to enhance our church's communication and our attentiveness to our church family. I'm looking forward to using Servant Keeper for our church directory in the months ahead.

I'd like to give Servant Keeper's sales team, trainer and Customer Support an A+++++++. I attended one of the training seminars and was sold on the software immediately. Our sales contact, Jon, was extremely positive, professional and patient as we moved forward on the approval and purchase process.

I'm so excited about our church's future, thanks to Servant Keeper and the Lord's will.

Comments: This software exceeded my expectations in ways I didn't even know to expect!!! I shopped different ChMS for months to find the right solution; I demo'd 6 of the top suggested solutions that looked beautiful and seemed to be just what we wanted...but REALLY WEREN'T. We needed a reasonable price (preferably a one-time fee), ease of use, GREAT financial reporting & input for individual Giving and Pledge tracking, room to grow in both membership size and functionality (including Online Giving), and a bonus would be great membership tracking. I was able to import a complete spreadsheet of all my membership information with their Import Tool. The software remembers Giving transactions and enters the information in the blanks for you to approve, prints out batch statements for each Sunday in with whatever level of information you want AND makes it easy to fix errors or adjust for new account designations. It fills in cities by zip code, manages mailing areas to coordinate mail merges, and tracks ages and grades. Attendance is a breeze and can be recorded by over-all numbers as well as individual names. I'm very pleased to have made the choice to go with Servant Keeper.

Comments: Servant Keeper is an absolute diamond amongst the other church managent software tools on the market. We were using a very dated method of tracking finances and membership and while it worked we knew there was a better way to serve God's people. I came across SK and what has impressed me the most is how user friendly it is. Whether it's church management or church finances this is a great tool for member care, financial reporting and any ministry looking to serve God's people with excellence. This is a great product and I highly recommend any ministry to download the trial version and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
The only thing I would like to see change is having to pay for the tech support. Other than that I have no complaints about SK at all. I highly recommend it.

Comments: Our church was forced to change software when our previous vendor stopped supporting our software. As a small church our needs are fairly simple - membership management and giving records. As non-tech types we are really pleased that the software has been very intuitive to learn. I have discovered that my time entering giving records has been reduced by half because the software is streamlined and requires many fewer keystrokes to enter data. I was also very happy with the white glove help in migrating our date from our old system to SK. We have not explored all the available features with SK, but I am confident they will be as user friendly as the features we are using nos.

Comments: I believe Servant Keeper is the BEST and most user friendly membership system on the market. I have had the opportunity using many software programs one of which being the "most expensive" to purchase and very costly support. None of them compare with Servant Keeper. The cost is very affordable, even for the smallest congregation, and the support team is excellent. I very rarely need to contact the CS dept., and when I do, all the techs are qualified to walk through the problem and fix it almost immediately. We have had Servant Keeper at least 8 yrs. THANK YOU SERVANT KEEPER STAFF!! JOB WELL DONE!!

Comments: The entire process of inquiry, ordering, installing and support has been very pleasant. Bernadette has always been very patient and helpful, taking the time to answer questions and mention additional feature we weren't aware of. We share the administration between two people and can usually find ways to share new information by way of videos, emails, etc. I have also attended a webinar that was very helpful. We are now looking forward to making use of the Cloud, which we hope will make SK as current and useful as possible, plus are looking into adding more layers of information on our members, such as talents and interests.

Comments: Thanks to Bernadette Reynolds that has been in contact with me for months as my church went through a split and changes to Board Memebers which left us without an accountant, she stayed with me periodically through emails. It took months to finally purchase SK 7. I've been using SK5 from decades ago and had to learn it on my own without the guide books or the initial training from prior bookkeeper, God just has done miracles! I not only was able to purchase today and didn't have a hard time downloading the program, but the help number is there and I did order the guidebooks to use as a reference. Bernadette made sure my levels of anxiety to do all this being non-user friendly, it was so easy to do! References, a help sheet, AND the direct line to the HelpDesk, this company is complete. Kudos and blessings to SK in making this product to do daily accounting, managing a directory, and the beloved 1099s each year.

Comments: The modules is what we needed to bring our data into one program. The cost is where it was not going to work for us. We track many individuals that would exceed 50 families ($250 US) and the next step-up is not in our financial range. Trying to transfer information from one data program to Servant Keeper has its limitations. I was not able to transfer family information from a program we now use but it did work with the donations.
If you can afford this program then I would recommend it. Remember that if you have 51 families then you need to move on up to the only other price - over $500 US.

Comments: We switched to Servant Keeper at the beginning of 2016. The import of our data went well, although took a few tries. Overall, importing was easier than other products I have used. We found the integration with Quickbooks doesn't work as we were led to believe and since we import to a great many different income lines, we have chosen to import contributions manually into Quickbooks. Its just easier. The main complaint I have is the customer service hold music. Servant Keeper generally has long hold times-around 10-15 minutes or more- and you'll be pulling your hair out by the end after listening to that hold music, its that awful.

My only other complaint is the lack of customization on the main, first page. Coming from a database background, I'd love to see the ability to add fields on the main, first page, as well as design a unique page that is completely customized to our needs. Would also like to customize some of the stock reports. For instance, use preferred names when printing a birthday list, instead of the more formal first name.

All in all, its a great product that is easy to learn and intuitive to get around. Our non-technical staff can use it easily, although they are hesitant to make changes. I think this would be true no matter what product we were using.

Servant Keeper 7 is outstanding. The Cloud is wonderful.

Comments: I have used Servant Keeper for the past 1 year. It is well designed and setup to be very user friendly. Entries are easy, speedy and editable at one glance. The completed session gives sum total to match your tally sheets. Printing the IRS statements was a click of the button. Servant Keeper offers online courses and the year-end session was very good with the opportunity to repeatedly view it. For the past 7 years, I used Membership+ which was less well organized and cumbersome.
I highly recommend Servant Keepers.

Comments: It's great to not have to back-up my data each time I use it. However, I find that I cannot use it in the evening, especially after 8:30 p.m. as the server is not available. I do a lot of work at home and really would like to beable to do it on my time. I do hope this issue can get resolved. Other than that, I really like the program. Great software!

The first time we ever viewed a demo of Servant Keeper, we were able to navigate effectively, deposit and batch, set-up contributions, create and move individuals to new households, and track contributions without any assistance. It was refreshing to see the simplicity of such a highly integrated program. If you are looking for an effective and user friendly program, Servant Keeper is the solution.

My current scanners did not work. My rep was able to sent me a scanner to test. It worked great after that. The cost of the new scanners is still cheaper then paying for Lambslist every year.

Comments: I erred in my response the first time if anything I said or clicked on would have indicated that I view SK as anything but a first-class 5 star company. Please delete the original survey from this user. I don't believe that a slow or non-response to two email inquiries are reasons to downgrade the company. The software is outstanding, and Jenny and Toddi, the main users at this time, are extremely happy with it.

Now if you will just make sure that the support team at the other end of the phone and email respond within the day the contact is made you will be top-notch in all the ways that makes a difference to your customers.

We had many questions, concerns and needs that were important to have answered and Bernadette was patient, honest and faithful in helping us decide to order the program. Comments: One of the first tasks given to me as the new Administrator was to look into getting a church management software. Previous methods used were spreadsheets, aging difficult databases and a contribution software that wasn't even compatible with Windows 7! After much research and cost comparison I quickly discovered that Servant Keeper was the perfect software for this church. We were lucky to work with a good salesman (Thanks Jon!) who was willing to create a package that fit our needs specifically. As an office that works with several volunteers with differing computer comprehension it was essential to have a good method for training. The online courses were specific and offered enough information for everyone to understand the basics of the program. Any other question could be answered within a phone call. Honestly it was a Capterra review that turned me onto this software and it definitely paid off to take a look. The purchase of this software brought organization and security to this church office, and it did so at a very very reasonable price.

There are just a few things I would "tweak" because overall Servant Keeper provides all the access to information I need on a daily basis. When the staff or other church members need certain data or information I can usually provide within minutes now! I have attended two of your seminars and they were also very helpful. So, I do not hesitate to recommend Servant Keeper to other churches seeking recommendations about church software options.

Comments: In all fairness, I am still exploring the use of SK. Just upgraded from SK6 to SK7 and changed to a new PC (from a Mac running as a PC with VM Ware) at the same time.. Getting to know and use it more and more. One thing that I will say, their customer service department deserves an A++ rating. They not only fixed an existing problem but patiently and professionally walked me through the backup/data transfer/upgrade process which was not complicated. All went smoothly.

Comments: My customer service rep gave me a quick fix to the slowness that I was experiencing.
Since our upgrade to version 7, we lost the history of what we have done in each person's profile.
I really wish that certain fields would auto-fill (like spouse's email addresses) or marking a spouse as widowed when the other one is marked deceased and updating the mailing address for a recently widowed person.

Loved the fact we were able to get it up and going by ourselves.

Comments: I had tried to import an Excel document numerous times but kept getting error codes (multiple different error codes!). I called customer support and spoke with Kelly. I truly could not have asked for any better customer service. She logged into our system and helped me fix all of my error messages. She knew exactly what needed to be corrected so that the import would be accepted by Servant Keeper. We just installed the membership software on Tuesday and tried and tried to get the contribution part installed but failed due to the error messages. I don't like to call most customer support centers because so many don't seem to truly want to help. From the beginning, Kelly did everything she could to fix our problem and after fixing all of the issues I was having, we finally have our new SK contribution software installed. Your customer service is impeccable and Kelly was great! Thank you SK and thank you to Kelly!

Comments: Jon Haley has been very helpful, informative, and patient with me as we made the decision to switch from our current software (Alpha Five) to Servant Keeper. I have, at this point, loaded the software to my computer and have been able to get somewhat familiar with it. I did have a question while doing the installation which was handled promptly and thoroughly by the technical support team. I look forward to getting the software fully "up and running" for the first of the year.

Comments: Servant Keeper is a good quality church software. What makes the process First Class is the quality of the service given by the help desk. I have been using the help desk for two years and they have NEVER failed me. And even though, I believe, the help was available in the Manual, I was always given friendly service and never sent away to look it up!

Comments: PROS: I use it for membership, SS attendance, and contributions. The groupskeeper module is very handy as well.
CONS: I wish the report function could be more user editable within the software. However there is a function to SAVEAS and export to .txt or spreadsheet. Then I'm able to manipulate reports from there. Also, in version 6 I had the capability to do a range selection when posting attendance. Version 7 does not allow me to do that so I have to individually select persons or click EVERYONE then unselect persons not attending.

Comments: I'm very thankful for "Servant Keeper" I have used this awesome program for at least 10 years now in our local church and the program has definitely given us peace of mind with all the various reports needed for the church members, contribution receipts and even organizing various ministries even throughout the year for us easily. It's has been so convenient that when my husband and I became directors of of a private bible college I immediately knew we needed to buy another software of servant keeper to keep track of the various incomes and bless this ministry as well.

Comments: The software has been a great help in tracking membership changes for addresses, new dependents, contributions, and receiving useful reports for membership and budgets.

Our upgrade to 7.0 along with a new PC and Windows 10 was easy except for a minor issue with the store's tech support person transferring files and not upgrading our Servant Keeper 6 file first. A quick call to the Help Desk provided the solution to convert the file.

Comments: Pros - Help is always available, with a servant's heart. The program is very user friendly and again just having the support and knowing that any question I have, no matter how simple or difficult, and being treated with an attitude of "we want you to succeed" , with absolutely no feeling of being a bother is fantastic.

The only con I have is, the invite on the "online directory" only goes to one email. I know that I can share the link with members, but if each family member has an email address, it would be nice to invite them all. Overall, this is a great program and I look forward to learning more and more and take advantage of all Servant Keeper has to offer

Comments: I have been using Servant Keeper Contribution for 10 months now. I like the ability to customize the entry screen. I most appreciate it when I start entering a new donation the full name and address pops up to confirm I have the correct donor. I can even correct the address if the donor has moved, or enter a missing phone number.
The ability to correct entries in posted batches has saved me a couple of times too. If I have a simple question I ask Bernadette who has been extremely kind and knowledgeable.

Comments: I have been working with Servant Keeper since January 1, 2015 and am very pleased with it!
It is a very user friendly data base which is very easy to follow. The books that come with it are very clear and concise and the Help Desk is very friendly and knowledgeable.
I have found that I have not had to call on them very often, but when I have the problems have been cleared up in very short order. I would recommend having the Help Desk Service for the first year until you are comfortable with the program.
Overall, Servant Keeper is a Keeper!

Comments: We are a small rural church without a secretary. We have multiple spreadsheets going around, but not one source of information. We are limited in resources and found this to be the best database for our needs. We can start with the beginning package and grow into more involved opportunities if needed as we grow. It didn't have ongoing monthly fees for services we don't need right now. I am so excited to have a place to collect all information so we can best utilize peoples gifts and ministry opportunities. This software caters to all our needs and more. Bernadette was so helpful in answering all our questions immediately and super helpful. We just bought it today and I'm so excited to enter in all this great, valuable information!!! Let ministry begin!

Comments: I have used a different software program at two other churches, and Servant Keeper is so much easier to learn/use that I would highly recommend it.

About a month ago I discovered a simple problem but hesitated to call the Help Desk to try to get it corrected because of bad experiences in the past when I had to call the other software company. However, today I called SK and was on the phone for almost 50 minutes talking with Brandi. She was GREAT!!! So patient and polite!!! And the problem was solved! Yay!

Comments: SK is a very complex software, but the more I use it, the better and faster I've become. I do like the wide variety of reports and stats I can use SK to generate. I also like to be able to print labels.

A problem developed with Windows 7 and SK6, and your help desk people Sarah and especially Kelly were patient with me and most importantly, figured out the glitch. Kelly kept at it until my data was back where it belonged. Thank you, Kelly!

It is self explanatory for the most part and when you have questions, CS is there to help.

Cons - When setting up my spreadsheet to Import our information into SK, I had to change what our old system titled "Child" to how SK was set up to "Son or Daughter". It would have been easier to be able to manipulate SK side of the set up to child if that is what would be faster.

Comments: Pros: It is very effective for basic recordkeeping but also allows for a lot of customization. Then, it includes a variety of useful ways to use the info you've gathered with reports & groups. Also like that it integrates into MS Word.
Cons: Unable to access program offline. We have connectivity problems in our building so sometimes I can't wirelessly access our data server (locked in treasurers office) which means Servant Keeper just doesn't exist for us in those moments. It would be nicer if I could atleast use the program to set up reports or design publications so that I can make progress on jobs then go back and fill in data when we can connect again.

Lost connection to your server may resolved a couple ways. 1. you might want to install a more powerful wireless router if you're going through cement block walls 2. you may consider getting ServantPC Cloud so that all you will need is an internet connection, and then your connection to your server (which is probably behind thick walls) becomes unnecessary. Comments: To start, it's a great piece of database software. The costs are a one time product license and if necessary, a database import tool; a monthly cost for cloud access. I have a small church of about 150 members in which we had used an online database product with many bells and whistles that the church simply did not need. The demo was a good tool to send to the church leadership, especially the member chair and the administrative assistant. They are at the standard user level and had no problem working through the menus, and the church leadership actually selected this particular database because of it's ease of use.
The data import tool worked well, I had to export the online data into csv sheets, and to make it easy I imported into my sandbox at home, fixed the header titles to match the new field names, and the most tedious task was to change the record index numbers to match the new ones. Once all my data was straight, I imported it all to the cloud. The church administrative assistant and the membership chair had no problem at all with the contributions, giving statements, inputting data, and reports. There are plenty of user defined fields to track unique items like Emmaus, Safe Sanctuaries, etc.
The only cons I can think of was there is not import built in, you must get the tool, and matching records can be a bit tedious.

Overall, it's great, there's more modules that are available, but for now my church only needed the basics.

Comments: I started working at our church a few months ago. They were using a previous program, and it seemed super involved and not use friendly whatsoever. As a newbie, I wanted to be able to dive right in, but also have accurate records.

We have been using this program for a couple weeks, and I think it's a great product for keeping records. I haven't had the chance to use it for contributions quite yet, but I imagine when I start plugging those in, it will be just as easy.

Comments: We had been using servant keep for years and just switched to the Cloud version to be able to look up information from anywhere, and on phones. It is nice that we don't have to update everyone's database every week, but it is not truly a cloud. You still have to have the software installed on your computer (we pay for 10 licenses), and then you can also have the app on as many phones or tablets as you wish. The app does not easily give information and does not have enough visible. Our pastors need to find the names/ages of children and spouses, possibly jobs or other notes and cannot do that. The entire system (app and computer) is slow and difficult to use. We have given up on updating many parts of your database because the software is so frustrating.

Comments: Pros-Everything in one place. I had many different spreadsheets, now just one database. Can lookup information quickly and run a myriad of reports. Love the mailing label capability. They thought of everything.

Cons-We are using V.6 and while the SK Help Desk is excellent, no one has been able to solve my email problem. We cannot email tax statements from SK, which was one of the main reasons we bought it.

Regarding your email issue, there are a few internet service providers (ISP) that do not allow any third party programs to send emails using email accounts from that ISP. If your ISP is one of these, then you can create a free email account using gmail or something similar and use it as your "sending" email in Servant Keeper when you send statements. Comments: I recently requested help fixing a bug in Servant Keeper. Customer support fixed the bug in the next release, however it was not retroactive. I contacted the Servant Keeper Help Desk and they quickly responded with a positive outcome. They assured me that they would make sure to fix whatever data was not corrected with their release. The Servant Keeper Help Desk fixed our issues quickly and accurately. I couldn't be more pleased and find their customer support to be superior.

This is a great program with good features and options to expand your information base.
