Pros: What i like most about the software is the ease of the program. When i input an address it starts to give recommendations and it fills in the blanks for you. You can also view a map of the location. We use this software everyday throughout the day and is a great program for the office to communicate with people in the field without having to call them.

Cons: We have used kickserv for a few years now and i really haven't run into any major problems with the software. The few times i did, the tech helped out immediately to get my issues resolved.

Overall: Ease of use, great communication with techs, maps

Pros: Easy of use, functionality, reporting, mobile platform app, easy to understand menus and customer service responsiveness

Cons: I have been using this product for over 5 years and have not found many flaws. If I had to give any constructive critique, I would have to say that they could improve upon the search capabilities so that I could search additional fields.

Overall: Total customer relationship management system and total integration with QB bookkeeping software

Pros: Integrates easily with QuickBooks. I like that it is mobile. I also like the new feature with the address input. The service team is always quick to respond

Pros: Love the scheduling

Cons: Not enough instruction on how to set up invoice information (some of the fields do not seem to work). Overall documentation needs work as far as more detail information and maybe examples.Would be nice to have something to keep track of how much you charge and collecting money. Would like to click on the Work Order in the calendar view and bring the WO up. Have to exit invoice screen in order to log a payment.

Overall: Scheduling

We've used this Kickserv for years! It's a good, solid program that is continually being upgraded.

Pros: Reasonable pricing. Good set of features. Great customer service. We've used this program for at least 10 years.

Cons: It's looking better, but still a bit "clunky". Not very intuitive if you're new to the system. Screen views are stretched out and take up a lot of room. You have to scroll a lot to find things. It could be more compact and easier to maneuver. The Android version is the same way - multiple screens to find things. You have to learn all the workarounds to be productive.

Overall: Let's us keep all customer data in one place. Syncs with our bookkeeping program. Internet based lets us work from anywhere. Good value for the $$$.

Pros: The Sync functions with google calendar, text messages, email reminders, maps and auto populate functions inside the app. Syncs with quickbooks and credit card processing, makes things very simple.

Cons: Thy have a feature to add pictures but the load time is extremely slow so I use another service provider for that function.

Overall, good experience. Not a fan of the electronic Customer support, prefer talking to a person.

Pros: Overall it was user friendly. The sync with quickbooks was satisfactory and very useful. Customer reports average to good.

Cons: Cumbersome when providing multiple services for a customer. Tracking service history of Customers. Limited with respect to multiple invoicing types to Customers. Invoicing did not fit our business model.

Indispensable. Simple to use and manage your customers and jobs from one place.

Pros: I love how easy it is as admin to add users, customize certain fields and see who has what on their calendar, emailing invoices to customers from the software, integration with QB.

Cons: I can't progress invoice, therefor I can't take advantage of really knowing the money in the pipelines. Certain custom fields for a customer's location don't carry over when you create a new job in that location, creating double entry.

Overall: The benefits are countless and far outweigh the features that we still don't have. What I love is that Kickserv is constantly adding new features and increasing the software's functionality.

Kickserv has helped us manage our schedule since the beginning. A valuable resource for business.

Pros: It's only gotten better since services sidekick. The speed and ease of use has been unparalleled with other scheduling software. You can really jump in and start using this program right away, without using tutorials.
The calendar interface is the best in the industry, we use this program for all 10 of our staff using both apple and android hardware.
Billing/invoicing is so fast and can generate customer payments seemingly instantly. Plus you can run reports so our management team can keep track of how our business is performing.
Kickserv support staff is available by chat if there are ever any issues and they are all friendly and helpful.

Cons: Sometimes kickserv does not move quickly. It has only been getting better, but when it slows to a halt it means a lot of extra work for our administrative staff to make sure all of our techs can keep moving in the field.
When kickserv works our techs can see their job description, customer information, prices and leave job notes. When kickserv doesn't work or is slow, our techs literally have to sit and wait until the next page loads to know where they are going. Our office has had to print entire days of jobs so the crews can bring paper copies of their jobs, and then submit the paper job notes to the office so they can enter the job notes once kickserv starts moving again.

Having to do this and not being able rely on the system has potentially cost Friendly Giant $1000's over the last 4 months.

Our technicians have gotten angry and frustrated when they can't do their job when the system we rely on doesn't work.

Overall: Smooth business flow is the main and best feature of kickserv. When everything is working our business flow is quick and communication between us and our customers becomes clear.

I think Kickserv is just okay!

Pros: I love that I can keep all my clients and everything in one place. Customer service is awesome to deal with.

Cons: The mobile site doesn't function as well as the desktop and we're out and about a lot!
Also, for months there have been ongoing issues of different sorts, this doesn't help me or our business, when I need client addresses and phone numbers and the site is down.
Quickbooks syncing hasn't worked right in awhile. At this point I'm not sure why I'm still using kickserv or quickbooks, i'm thinking of what else I can do at this point as it's not worth the money.

Overall: I can keep my clients and all jobs information in one place.

Worked with customer today on the phone and screen share. We found that her item list needed to be updated from Quickbooks first. We cleared the item list and ran the sync again. The invoices are now sync'ing to Quickbooks successfully.

Pros: Scheduling of employees and ease of changing schedules. Plenty of room for notes and reminders. Web interface is simple and easy to understand.

Cons: Phone app needs to be a little easier to set up. I got my phone setup without a problem, but my team has had a lot of difficulty.

Pros: Calendar for scheduling and notifications to employees works great everyone knows what the scope of the job or project is and the time and date

Cons: we are having issues setting up and using smart phones to schedule and invoice. We have tried to do this on several occasions. Our in house computer expert was also having issues with this .

Pros: Keeps all of my office and field workers on the same page. Love that it can also sync to my QB Desktop software.

Cons: Can't edit invoices on Kickserv after they are synced with QB. A lot of steps to email the estimate after it's prepared. Downtime during the day when I'm trying to pull opportunities up and provide customers with a quote. Can't easily view line items on invoices on the Android Mobile app. Support takes a day to get a hold of you sometimes. I also don't like that the IP of the customer is not included when they sign an invoice, as my lawyer advises it may not hold up in court for the signed contract without it. I also wish I could integrate payments with my Authorize.net account. pany sets) for credit card use.

Overall Kickserv is very easy to get up and running quickly.

Cons: I just have two comments.
1. Connecting the Software to Bank Accounts can provide several advantages. I know doing this will cost a lot of money but it will allow the administration department have a better connection with the finance department.
2. Noticed you changed background color from red to blue. Red makes people think aggressive and self confidence. Blue makes people feel safe. I think Red might go more with what you are trying to build.

I love this software and would be lost without it!

Pros: We like the syncing capabilities, customization options, reports, and task/reminder functions. This app was truly created with the intention of giving you peace of mind that you've never forgotten something. It makes us feel truly organized and gives us the ability to keep our processes working smoothly.

Cons: When Service Sidekick got switched over to the new platform, Kickserv, we were excited for the new features, but the downtime and constant account issues have been frustrating. Support is sometimes difficult to get ahold of, as well. That being said, the incident report updates that we signed up for, have been great during these circumstances and Pete is always very helpful when he's providing support.

Overall: Organization, Peace of Mind, Customization, Reports, Syncing Capabilities, Follow-Up Reminders

Pros: The software is very organized, easy to navigate through, I like that there's more than one way to search for something. I think the Dispatch View is an amazing concept! I am in the service industry and have technicians that I send all over S. OC, having a map right there and not having to switch back and forth with google maps would be wonderful! I really hope they will be able to fully incorporate it into the software. The texting concept is another wonderful idea I recently saw added. A lot of my customers ask for texts because their at work and in meetings etc, so to have this feature fully functional would be another efficient bonus!

Cons: There really isn't anything I dislike about this software. Recently, the Kickserv Team had to do a massive switch over, customers from their old software switched over to the new one and it caused problems across the board. However, our business didn't suffer too much and Kickserv's tech team was on a solution right away! I also really appreciated their update blog while they were fixing everything. We also had a problem with syncing to Quickbooks and Quickbooks locking our ability to change contact info from Kickserv. But that's been fixed as well!

Pros: Easy to use and can plan the day the week or the year out with this software. Can easily email an invoice to a customer and get paid online by the customer.

Cons: The speed of the software is sometimes slow. Also there are outages that interupt our work day. Would like it to interface with Quickbooks better.

Overall: We can see where our technicians are and can keep extensive notes on a project for future visits.

This software is powerful and keeps me organized.

Pros: I love that you can do many things with this software, but my favorite is that it keeps in contact with my customer sending out emails the day before I arrive and again on the day of my appointment. Amazing, it has cut down the to almost 0 of customers missing our appointment.

Cons: The thing that I do not like is when using from a smart phone in the field, you open the program and a number tasks close down the program and restarts. It never lets you use these tasks. Wish they would fix it so the phone can access the program. Love it if I could email their invoice from smart phone.

Overall: This software helps my business stay very well organized. My last business I used just an accounting program and had to hire 2 office personnel to run the back end of my business. With this program, I can do my back end with the help of my bookkeeper. I authorized my bookkeeper as admin personnel and from his office he keeps me organized with my quarterly's and end year.

Works very well in scheduling and communication with our technicians.

Pros: Ease of Use, the better performance with our technicians, communications, and scheduling. The reminder/notification feature comes into use quite often.

Cons: Does not translate/render as well as we would like on mobile phones. Some information that can be seen on a PC is missing when viewing on a mobile phone.

Pros: The ease of use and ability to sync with Quickbooks (although not seamlessly) are the best attributes.
The search feature and ability to use custom fields are nice to have.

Cons: The software is unreliable. I have been using it for 3 months and am surprised how many problems there are. The program encounters numerous slow downs or problems and it takes hours (sometimes longer) for the support team to fix the problem. Never had constant problems like this with Service Sidekick. It is frustrating to wonder if the program will be functional from one day to the next.
The program does sync with Quickbooks, but the data doesn't transfer completely. After the sync, we have to go in and manually input data or amend items like the customer name and terms.
The android mobile app crashes constantly and is unreliable.

Hello Robert - We know that our application has had downtimes in the last few months that are far beyond anyones comfort level. We have gotten our wits around a couple of issues that we inherited with our finial migration of customers from our legacy system. Now that all that is behind us we have seen much better results. Pros: It works well with Quick Books and moving around is easy.

Cons: Doing invoices, when you forget to select the purpose of the job (Labor, material, etc) you end up losing the information and then you have to go back to notes to put it back in.

Overall: I have to get back to work.

Pros: It is great for scheduling, and changing schedule, also very good for invoicing and invoicing information,

Cons: There are times I wish it was more flexible, like changing a job type from repair to estimate, I also wish it would transfer information from Kick Serv to Quick Books

Overall: it make schduling for service very easy.

Pros: The features and functionality work well for us. We would like greater integration of labour values and mark up rates so the system can be more tailored towards a greater perspective of total company earnings. We think Kickserv has a very bright future under the right circumstance.

Pros: when it works it's exactly what we need. it seems i need 100 characters to submit this form. unfortuantely I can't seem to find 100 nice words to say about your service.

Cons: there are way too many glitches for the price tag & support is never anywhere to be found. In the time it took for your tech support to get back to us we have already found another field management software and are taking the steps to transfer over. unfortunately, we are running a business and don't have the time to waste while ksa gets their act together. we would expect this of a beta test, not a paid service.

Overall: we are getting better at troubleshooting problems created by the software.

The "glitches" or downtime he is correct. They were to numerous during our migration of customers from legacy to our new Kickserv platform in April 2017. We have since corrected all those issues inherited from that one time event. We apologize very much so that we did not anticipate those issues better.

The old system service psychic was very useful and user-friendly. The new software is terrible.

Pros: The calendar is the biggest strength of this program. I like being able to use colors for different types of jobs. Also when you move something on the calendar it automatically updates. Our new software does not do that and I miss it. Service psychic used to be very easy to add people into the system and get them scheduled. Kick serve was not. The quick add was a great function when we were at tradeshows or when you're on the phone with a customer.

Cons: The reporting is near worthless. None of the reports are ever accurate, and trying to get someone to help you make them accurate was like banging your head against a wall. The system was incredibly unreliable It is constantly going down. For a web-based system, businesses rely on its functionality during business hours. We had many days of inability to use the system. They're always seem to be some reason why it crashed. The system was much much better when it was service sidekick. We had to build a salesforce software system because it was so dysfunctional. The customer service was also incredibly bad.

Overall: During the service sidekick years, many. During the kick serve years nearly 0 other than scheduling.

We migrated hundreds of our original customers from our legacy system to Kickserv starting in April 2017 through May 2017. We inherited some issues that we certainly should have anticipated or planned for. We did find a couple processing issues bringing on all those older accounts so quickly. We have since cleared those problems and added many more resources to handle much more growth. We sincerely apologize to all our loyal customers for enduring those weeks of processing delays.

Pros: Mobile app has great features, QuickBooks desktop integration is a plus, ease of reports. Overall the design of the software would be very good, if their servers could handle the volume of hits it was getting.

Cons: VERY slow at times, been a lot of downtime recently (sprint 2017), horrible customer service - can never get a human. Very passive to answer questions and help train end user. I feel as though their growth is outpacing their development. Further, quickbooks desktop integration has become very expensive.

What type of device are you using where the cursor is sensitive? Have you tried not to use your cursor or mouse while in the Kickerv screen or forms and use the TAB key more? If you cursor is moving around fast you can adjust that speed from your laptop if that is what you are using. Here, this may help: Open Mouse Properties by clicking the Start button The Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type mouse, and then click Mouse. Click the Buttons tab, and then do any of the following: To swap the functions of the right and left mouse buttons, under Button configuration, select the Switch primary and secondary buttons check box. To change how quickly you must click the buttons to perform a double-click, under Double-click speed, move the Speed slider toward Slow or Fast.

Pros: Their web site when used on a desktop computer is great for scheduling and dispatching. We use it throughout the day to line up jobs for our technicians. Previously existing customers are easy to find using their search feature. I can add a new job, and then click a button and it sends the technician a text message with the job description and address. The technician can click on the address link and get the GPS coordinates on their smart phone. The workflow is logical and consistent. When things go wrong, they are good about communicating what is happening.

Cons: We are really only able to use part of the service. While it is excellent for scheduling, it is not useful for invoicing unless your invoicing needs are very basic. The product is not compatible with Quick Books groups. I don't use their mobile app. I prefer their mobile web site, but recent changes have made their mobile site less useful. Their server sometimes gets overloaded and the software becomes unresponsive. Tech support is inconsistent. Sometimes very helpful. Sometimes condescending. If a customer has an email address, it will automatically send this customer a reminder notice. There is no way to turn this feature on or off. For recurring jobs where we go back to the customer again and again, this is a problem because we don't always schedule the customer on the same day every month. It also gives the customer a link to the customer account center, which we also do not use, since we are unable to use Kickserv's invoicing feature.

While Kickserv continues to make improvements to the service, I frequently find myself frustrated because improvements are often not fully tested, resulting in unpleasant side effects. Example - recent formatting changes have made the scrollable area of their mobile web site very small and difficult to work with. Another change awhile back formatted all of my old customer data in such a way that their addresses would fail to appear in the text messages sent to my technicians. I am having to manually change all of these.

Overall: It helps me manage four irrigation service technicians and keep them going where they need to go.

Kickserv is a great app that I have used for my Piano Service Company.

Pros: All inclusive connectivity of all the data needed to run my (Piano Service) business. I consider myself a fairly expert user of kickserv, using it from its early inception, then called ' Service Sidekick'. I am totally on board to help bring it to its fullest potential, so dont take the cons section too hard...I use the system every day, all through the day, and my entire operation depends on this most awesome application.

Cons: Software is gradually degrading. Latest update published makes KS sluggish, screen freezes constantly during scrolling. Reports have been altered to the point of useless.
Quadruple redundant data entry, creating and closing an event, then a job.
No auto fill on repeated fields.
Phone numbers require dashes be entered. Format the field for straight 10 digit entry.
Area code, city, and state are almost always the same in my service area. Why dont these fields hold and auto fill the last data entered? Internet standard these days is that the state is a 'state' field, only accepting 2 CAP characters in verified state identifiers.
No notification if email is successful, and no notice when messages fail. This has caught me with my pants down with customers...( yes customers, not contacts) emailing time sensitive invoices and opportunitys.... guys, they are ESTIMATES, Not opportunitys!!
Stripe send a payment received email notification...Awesome.
The text is the problem. First words of auto generated notification says Congratulations!.
Congratulations? We are small businesses....we take money, every day, all day. It is inapropriate, and smacks of a Condesending viewpoint.

Miss labled fields: My customers are my 'customers' , not my 'contacts'. New address verify is great on service address, Why does it not verify billing address? Getting paid is a very important aspect of small business. Makes no sense.

We did correct the couple of issues that were inherited from the massive migration of hundreds of original customers from our legacy platform. We regret not anticipating those issues prior. I would like to clarify some points you made: 1. We do not require dashes in phone numbers fields. 2. We do indicate if an email has failed in your Dashboard > email activity page. 3. Opportunities is a way to make our program more applicable to more people. When you do send out the template it does say estimate. We can help you with how it looks if you need something custom. Regarding your comment about the billing address, typically we are not verifying the address so much as we are just indicating on the map where that service address located for routing purposes and driving instructions.

Pros: i like the fact that we can use it on multiple devices. the newest thing is entering the address. it automatically pulls up info based on web searches.

Cons: 1. i'd like to see is multiple reminder entries. there have been a few instances where a caller has called in a few times and i put in a second reminder but it doesn't always show the 1st reminder (or initial call) i have learned now to take a second step and jot it in the notes section. 2. when i do put in a second reminder on the same customer, it doesnt show up at the top of the list, so if i dont physically write it down (cause i sometimes go straight to kickserv when on a call) i sometimes forget who i just talked to. 3. ive been having issues for months now syncing with quickbooks, and all i get is we undergoing a software update.

Pros: It's easy to use and it looks very professional to customers when they view estimates, invoices, etc. The customer portal was a great selling feature for customers with multiple properties.

Cons: Frequent server downtime causes costly and frustrating downtime for office/field staff. Customer service isn't the most responsive, and one request took 4 months to get an answer. Custom templates sound like a great feature, but they don't respond very well within the program and are difficult to create. Mobile app is buggy and practically unusable.

Overall: More efficient work flow management from estimate to invoice.

Pros: I love the intuitive layout and design of Kickserv. It's very easy to navigate, and extremely easy to train new users on.

Cons: It lacks some basic functionality you'll find with other SaaS Field Service software out there. The API is not reliable or robust for anything more than very simple queries. No webhooks. Very limited notification capabilities. No good dashboard.

Pros: I like the price point, I like that there is relatively little down time. And I like some of the features the software has

Cons: There are several complaints that I have had from day one. First the reporting is terrible, building a report is often a trial and error endeavor. Even after successfully building a report there are time that it just breaks. Seeing the "Ah, Nuts we'll ninja the heck out of that error" leaves me with nightmares. There are simple reports that should come standard that every business should use. Other than the reports, I find that the software was built to fit many businesses which make sense; however, it makes it harder for my specific business to work with a higher functionality. I cant attach cars to work orders instead I have to print it out and highlight it for my guys. There are other issues like this.

Overall: It has helped me keep track of customers but painfully so. The only reason I have not switched is because I do not have the time to learn a new program. If all of my complaints are resolved before I have the time to implement a new program I will stay; however, service has yet to make me someone who will recommend people or be loyal to this program.

I think you put a product out that has NOT been throughly beta tested.

Cons: When it works. The app is horrible. But, everyone know that already. You really need to hire outside help to figure out how to permanently fix it once and for all. I have put in numerous requests and have even had Customer support representative
out to my house to discuss the problems. He left with a punch list of about 14 things none of which have been fixed to my knowledge.

Pros: I like the ability to link photos to the jobs. Seeing where all the jobs are on a map is nice. Being able to send a nice invoice to the customers and track it has been great
Also, the link to stripe for the customer has also been very helpful.

Cons: The places the jobs and invoices goes needs to be cleaned up. Unless you know what you are exactly looking for they disappear sometimes. The app is not appropriate to use in the field. (no email input) Stripe is cumbersome and not easy to process in the field. The quickbooks feature should be included. The desktop fee is way to expensive.

Overall: it is the best we've used so far. But can be improved. The tweaks look to be minor to make it a much better product.

Overall: I've been using Kickserv for my business for the last month and a half and it has been a nightmare. I was told directly by one of the founders that the programming is old. The customer service is AWFUL. It takes days to get answers back from support. The time on our jobs keeps changing depending on what brower we are using. Information doesn't save when you update. The way that information and control panels are set up are very confusing and obviously outdated. When two days worth of jobs come through to my employees by email, the date is SO TINY compared to the job title that you can barely tell that it's two different days of scheduling AND the times are moved around back or forward by 3 hours!! It took fumbling around with several settings before I could hide pricing from my employees after I had clearly turned off pricing for each employee. That took several days to get a solution from customer support. Now, I'm trying to fix an issue with my quickbooks and sync the old invoices with a new quickbooks account and OMG we can't do that and we have to hand recreate EVERYTHING. What a waste of time and money.

Recommendations to other buyers: Save yourself the headaches of this out dated software and go directly for Jobber

The customer is correct. Her timing could not have been worse. It is very regrettable that this happened. We are very sorry for the frustrations and downtime. We were just completing our migration of hundreds of our long time and many original customers from our legacy system to our new platform and with it brought unforeseen issues. We have since corrected all those inherited problems. We have quadrupled our memory. Reconfigured the search feature, gave custom reports a boost in processing power, and last but not least gave our Quickbooks sync its own set of processors too. All this enhanced our computing resources and brought us back to delivering 99.99% uptime and very good refresh speeds. We take our customers' data and our performance very seriously and will continue to look for ways to stay ahead.

Cons: Since switching over to the new platform, there are issues with billing and attaching. Customer support is not helpful

Overall: Our experience with this software was average until the migration from SSK to Kickserv.

1) Our migration was scheduled for the evening of 2/2/17 but instead was run during the morning.
2) This resulted in us not being able to access our entire database for the entire workday. We lost customers and business as a result.
3) The only response we have gotten from Kickserv is "Sorry about the confusion".
4) Responses to issues about the new platform are not helpful and delayed.
5) Cannot upload certain file-types as attachments (Old SSK allowed anything)
6) Editing estimates does not work correctly
7) There are problems with payment capturing in Kickserv. Kickserv seems to ignore some line items.

Pros: I like how easy it used to be to use. If I had to buy the new kickserv I would run away screaming

Cons: Terrible interface. Terrible tech support. Very slow. Incredibly convoluted. First you make a job with charges, then you have to "generate an Invoice" from that job, then you can enter a payment, then after entering that you can mark it paid, then after doing all of that you can mark the job complete. What a nightmare.

Customers are syncing to the wrong customers in Quickbooks, which has caused an accounting nightmare.

Overall: Service Sidekick was a great product, they now forced all of their customers to Kickserv. They did the changeover at 10am on a weekday when it was scheduled for 10pm. We were down all day and received no apology. The changeover broke several systems. It no longer syncs to quickbooks correctly. When a task is made for someone it no longer tells people who made it and the Kickserv team is basically AFK.

Recommendations to other buyers: Run away, they don't seem to care about their customers

After the upgrade, we discovered that you had recently changed your QuickBooks sales tax codes, which inadvertently left 97 of your 4997 customers without a proper sales tax code. We reset your sales tax code for those 97 records so that your taxes calculated properly. We worked with you extensively over phone and screen share until we resolved these and other issues to your satisfaction. It sounds like there are some things you don't like about the new interface. Pros: Able to change as needed, and easy to integrate with Quick Books. Easy to contact a real person in tech support.

Cons: Don't feel that the phone/tablet app is user friendly

Overall: We have been using the program for about a year, and it is for sure better than other programs that we have used in the past. ANd the ease of talking to a real person in tech support is WONDERFUL!
But there are still a few issues we have come across. One is that it only works properly on FireFox, and is the only program I use that actually works on that browser, so I have to have that on all the time just for Kickserv.
Next is that when there is an error, there is no clear explanation as to what the error is. The program seems to tell me that there is an error, but that's it. I literally worked for about a month with tech support because I could not sync any new customers between Kickserv and Quick Books. This made end of the year very frustrating. When it finally started working, I still don't know what was actually the problem.
The last issue I have, is that I can't make the phone/tablet app user friendly for my techs in the field. I need them to be able to adjust more things, change times, add/reschedule jobs etc, and they can't do it. I was hoping this would help so they didn't forget to tell me what needed to be done, but they can't do it from their tablet.

Recommendations to other buyers: I pretty much did in the first part. Make it easier to identify any errors and how to solve them. And allow more things to be done from the phone/tablet app.

Comments: We were 98% about to sign up with Kickserv as our CRM and work flow system, but their software does not allow functionality for Canadian taxes (GST and PST). I contacted Kickserv about this, but they were not able to offer that functionality at the time, nor offer a suitable work-around, so we had to go with another provider, which is actually based in Canada.

Comments: This program is wonderful! It has plenty of options to allow a simple way to keep up with scheduling, and tracking jobs, costs and employees, and many other things. It also has a tech support team that you can message directly from the sight, and they respond very quickly. Our company has used a few programs, and this is by far the best. I love being able to get in contact with a real person when I have a question, and they freely give out their phone number and are willing to call. Comments: We've used Kickserv for about a year now, and are pleased with our experience. We run moving and relocation company, and have a lot of part-time workers. Our business model requires a lot from the software, and we've had to get creative to make some features fit for us, but all in all we've not found a better solution for a better price.

Some of the aspects that we appreciate include:

- Resource view - allows you to see all of your workers at a glance. This is our most crucial page, and it does what it needs to very, very well.
- API interaction allows us to push/pull information from management dashboards that are integrated with other business intelligence data streams.
- Everything is right at your fingertips - easily access jobs, estimates, customers, reports, marketing via the left-hand column. Need to search through it all? You can do that too. Very fast and easy to navigate.
- Full functionality on any device! I can manage my teams from even my phone's browser, anywhere. I can be on a call, processing a credit card, and logging charges and time-tracking all at once - on my mobile device, no less.
-Very customizeable. Change your marketing, your invoices, your estimates, your emails, user permissions, job fields, etc. etc. etc.
- Help is right there in the bottom corner of the screen, with an estimate of when someone will get back to you. I can't say enough about how professional everyone I've spoken with has been, and how personal the customer service is.

Some things we hope will continue to improve:

- The mobile app in our experience has not been as good as the web page - but you can just use the web version.
- Your workflow experience differs depending on where you start to enter your data, which is slightly confusing. Still, the process is flexible enough to allow you to schedule jobs however you prefer.
- It would be great if Kickserv had a JIRA-type bug tracker that allowed us to submit tickets and see their status, as well as provide attachments, updates and feedback.
- Interaction with third-party software, like Quickbooks or Google Calendar, could be improved.

With stellar customer service, and an ever growing feature list, give Kickserv a shot. Overall, its been a solid choice for managing teams in the field, with plenty of flexibility - even for us.

For dispatching it is very good.

We are a small service based company using paper work orders that get signed out in the field and then are used for invoice creation when they make it to the office - we have paper everywhere! I needed to be able to sync with QuickBooks desktop, not spend a ton of money, and get rid of paper, Kickserv fit the bill. Their customer support is awesome! My emails get responses even at 12:30 in the morning. I just can't say enough about the great customer service. Their tech support has just been awesome, and their price point is great compared to other software I have investigated.

Comments: We hoped this software would be relieve the stress of scheduling for our business. However, it has been the exact opposite. Initially when trying to sell us the product, we were told the features that we needed were already functioning or in the pipeline. We were told that there would be a follow up with that timeline. After I PAID $1,*** , that never happened. In fact, I was later told that a timeline was hard to provide as software development of certain things take time beacause of bugs. Which makes sense, however why not be HONEST when you were selling me on the program?

Secondly, support sucks. We have tried to talk to someone. None of the people we have talked to seem happy to help and act as if we are burdening them. In the last two days, we have left two messages and have not received a call back. When I messaged Josh Anderson asking him when we should expect a call. His reply was:

"I am sorry, I don't see a voicemail or message in the queue.
Did you log in to Kickserv and click the bottom right icon and send support a chat?"

If I wanted to chat, I already would have.

Some other cons:

Even in expanded view, when you click on an event on the calendar, it sometimes will move your appointment time for no reason.

The calendars don't line up (e.g. if you have given one tech 3 jobs), you have to search through the calendar to find out whos assigned to what.

When you click on a job to start time or stop time, it doesnt show the "PLAY" or "JOB COMPLETE" sign until like 15 mins later. Totally throws us off as we have to call clients to let them know team is on the way.

This is unacceptable. Biggest regret is paying for the whole year. Now I am stuck with a program that half works and have to deal with people that dont really seem to enjoy their job. BUMMER, however lesson learned. I would highly recommend trying this program first when before committing to any period of time longer than a month.

Comments: I now have made my business mobile due to Kickserv, and my electricians out in the field are invoicing and posting payments via their ipads, which are directly linked to our office! All my techs can now see their daily schedules on their own calendar with all the customers information, via their ipads, which eliminates so much paperwork that we once had to give them each morning. We can change their schedules from the office, and everything is instantly changed on the ipads. As an owner, I am thrilled to see how many actual jobs are won and lost, along with the detailed sales reports I can run which were not available through my current Quickbooks. I have seen my sales increase due to this changeover, and I actually enjoy working again!! Thank you Kickserv, and especially thank you to all the friendly tech support guys (mainly Alex and Pete!) who are there for us whenever we need them.

Comments: I had searched high and low for a software to run my roofing company (around 15 employees, 3 field supervisors, 1+million a year) I have spent over 3 years, $10,000 on setup fees, and monthly fees up to $500/month and none of them come close to this software.

To run my entire operation it costs under $100/month and that even includes the quickbooks online license. not only does it work amazingly, it's super simple to use, and even my guys who are technically challenged picked it up right away. I went from my trial at 1am to in the field by 9am. literally that easy, and no hiccups so far.

CONS - I didn't find this software years earlier.

Comments: I am a small business owner with lofty aspirations. When we started our new brand, our Field Services Software was a HUGE priority. We have tried, tested, and purchased half a dozen of the other field services software applications listed on capterra. I became SO discouraged that when I came around to Kickserv I was looking for the software that, to be frank, sucked the least.
I have found THE BEST software and application available AT ANY PRICE (and theirs is nominal by comparison). Their Quickbooks integration, customer portals, and CRM rivals what three other programs were doing half as well. Kickserv is all I have been looking for and more. We needed a partner who would forge into the future with us to provide customer service to my Day 1 technician out in the field but possess the infrastructure to accommodate our ever-growing line of services and products as we take over the market and go national. Comments: I'm 66 and we're updating our family business and learning new technology. Kickserv is the easiest and best software I've dealt with in the past year. The product is easy to understand and the directions are clear and written in everyday language for us non-techies. The support team is phenomenal. You ask a question and you get a live person answering within a short space of time. We looked at a dozen or so scheduling software programs before settling on this one and I'm so glad we did. I can update the Opportunities as they come in and the staff on the road can look at their tablets and schedule themselves. We can all see the calendar at the same time. It integrates smoothly with QuickBooks. My office workload has been reduced considerably. No more hand entering data from paper invoices. We're saving trees! I love it.

Comments: We have a lot of different services and products at our business, we design logos, print just about anything on paper, make signs, build websites, and wrap cars in vinyl. We tried many different options for organizing ourselves before, ranging from digital pdfs as work orders, to filled out countless paper forms, and it made our business a disorganized mess! We've been trying to find a program that will allow us to track the many moving parts of our business in one central location, so that no matter where our employees are or what stage of production they're in, they can access the work order. This software has fixed all the problems we were having with workflow, employee communications, central address book of clients, keeping track of sales opportunities, and even helped tremendously with estimating jobs and streamlining pricing. We've recommended it to our own clients and friends, and several of them have started using it as well with fantastic results. It's a great deal and saves us SO MUCH time and energy, I can't recommend it highly enough!

Comments: Prior we were using a customer service program that made a lot of claims that were not true. We found Kickserv and it has lived up to everything it has claimed. It is reliable, we never lose data, syncing with QuickBooks has been accurate and seemless, and we are finally managing our customer jobs for the first time. I really love the interfacing of the software. It is easy to follow work from a potential sale to an estimate to a job and finally invoicing the customer. The customer service has been quick to respond to any questions I have had. I would really recommend you get the Boot Camp to best learn to use the program and get all your questions answered and ease the set up process. Kickserv also is very good about looking at improvements and moving the software program to more improved abilities. I can't wait for our company to grow with this program and company.

1. customer support is online only. I have not been able to talk to the live person when I really needed something but had to send email questions that were responded to the next day. Our rep who signed us up was responsive to my questions and knowledgeable about software but I wish Kickserv had someone 24x7 to answer urgent calls or at least even email back right away.
2. not enough customization. Our staff wants to see things differently on the screen arranged the way that they want it but it's not possible to save your own settings or arrange the schedule to look differently.
3. Suggestions for improvement not implemented. I have made many suggestions but have not seen any changes so I just stopped giving them.
4. Only 2 settings for personnel: administrative and tech. We have alots of sales folks and they need more info than tech but less than administrative. So far has not been done
5. The app is not really helpful for the type of work that we do. It downloads very slowly for those who have administrative access because it loads up the whole customer base. The cancelled appointments don't disappear from the app schedule very fast so couple of time our staff went to appointments that were not needed. When new appointments are added, there is no alert so it's easy to miss them. Uploaded documents saved online dont display on the app. Anyway the app needs a lot of work.
6. needs a place to record ongoing reminders for administrative staff. Kickserv did not solve this problem so we are still using sticky notes.
7. not a way to communicate and assign customer related tasks to each other in the team. Again, would be nice if the software had ability to do that.

Comments: I began my search recently for software to run a plumbing business. So glad I found Kickserv! I tested a few other field service apps and had it narrowed down to mHelpDesk and Kickserv. Kickserv's workflow for creating leads to estimates, jobs and invoices is seamless and just makes sense. I also love that clients can view estimates and invoices from their browser and I can see whether they have been viewed by the customer. Clients can also accept and sign estimates from their browser, which are then automatically converted to jobs/work orders. These are all key features for me that were missing in mHelpDesk. Kickserv offers many other great features with some pretty welcome and useful enhancements coming soon. Beyond the software their customer service is superb! Josh and Alex are quick to answer my emails and have provided great assistance with the few issues I've had. We are still on the trial, but as far as I am concerned we are already Kickserv customers, as we will be investing in their services! Our business is pretty excited about growing with Kickserv and we really look forward to becoming more professional, efficient and profitable with Kickserv!

The premium is about 1/3 of most of the quotes we were getting and it has everything we need. Plus, when my company grows Kickserv offers more options we can use. My techs love having the app on their phone.

Comments: I have been in the service business for the past 30 years and have dealt with many different service programs. I found Kickserv to be exactly what my new business venture needed from ease of use through the financial relief of not having to put in a full network. My records are stored in the cloud and the best part was it synced with Quickbooks immediately. I absolutely love it and would recommend to a small start up to a Fortune 500!!!!

Comments: We love using Kickserv for our business! I don't have anything bad to say about it. It's easy to use, has great functions and is very affordable. It took all of the manual processes we were doing away and replaced them with a very efficient way of keeping up with labor hours, billing, jobs, etc.

The only con is that I wish under logging labor hours, it was set up to where you clicked time in and time outs and it calculated the hours for you. Other than that, it's a great system and I would recommend to anyone in this type of business!

Comments: I have a small service business and tried quite a few field service management systems before deciding on kickserv. It provides a great value for any field service business, has the majority of features I was looking for and most importantly, my technicians find it very easy to use so getting them to complete their work orders isn't a problem. Also, I frequently receive notifications from kickserv about new features being added and updates being made to the system so I know they are actively working to make kickserv better and better. I would recommend kickserv to anyone looking for a solution to their field service management business.

Comments: Before I discovered kickserv i was struggling to manage my jobs having piles of paperwork all over the place relating to work I had to carry out.
I must admit I'm quite tight when it comes to spending out on software yet kickserv has been a sound investment for me. Not only did it eliminate all that paperwork but it has meant i spend less time in the office and more time out making money completing jobs.
My apprentice also picked up the easy user friendly interface and logs the majority of my jobs.
Overall its a fantastic product.
Although the one thing I would say is i wish the customer portal displayed job addresses in appose to job numbers as my estate agents have lots of jobs and it takes them too much time to click each job to work out which is which and get an update. This is the only change i would make apart from that it hasn't stopped me finding it a fantastic product and who knows with all the continuous updates the software receives maybe the the future my issue will also be sorted.

Comments: Pros: Easy to implement, enables low overhead/admin costs, customers love it, easy estimating, quick invoicing and payments, great support, cloud based (no IT infrastructure to maintain), scalable, integrated credit card payment system, employee buy in, dashboard, job history, employee timecards, great value, minimal unbillable hours or missed billings.

Cons: No integration to Quickbooks online (yet), scheduling module can be tricky, slight software glitches once in a while, would be great if it had a job costing module.

Really helps us with organization and communications.

Comments: I generally love this service, as it keeps me so organized! I couldn't do it otherwise. I run a cleaning business with 3 different sectors, and I can dispatch techs, and keep them organized as well. I love that I have it synced with quick books, makings book keeping a sinch. I would like a few things to change...the log in process is totally inconvenient when I'm at a clients house, and trying to pull up their info for scheduling. Also, I would love to have automatic confirmation emails the day prior, go to all of my clients that have a service scheduled the next day. I'm also having trouble getting the app on my iPad (I bought the iPad specifically for field work), but I was able to find the app on the iPhone. I'm happy with my service though, and recommend it.

Comments: We tried several other field serve mgmt software programs out there, but none of them compare to Kickserv. Our plumbing company been using them for several years now. They keep adding new features and improvements, and really care about their customers. Their customer support is AMAZING. Whether you use email or phone support, they are always right there, ready to help.

Their Quickbooks syncing service has been updated and works seamlessly. We could not run our company with this awesome software. Highly recommend!

Comments: I have to commend Kickserv on outstanding customer service. I only went through the trial testing but any question or need and they are right on it.
I think this software is really great and priced right.... maybe a little on the low side for all of the features that are included. We have a particularly unusual outsourcing needed that just doesn't quite fit or I would be using Kickserv daily to run my field service business. I haven't given up and know in the near future the few little features we need will be there and I will be back.

Comments: Started using Kickserv over 5 years ago when my small computer repair business added our first technician, other than myself. It has been key in growing our business. We are now up to 3 technicians, plus an admin. Kickserv keeps all of us on the same page, with scheduling, billing, customer info, and upcoming work.
Before Kickserv, we were writing our invoices out of Quickbooks Online. Now, since Kickserv syncs with our Quickbooks Online, only the bookkeeper and I need to have access to Quickbooks.
Highly recommend Kickserv to small service companies!

Comments: I've been using this product for a while now and have found Todd and the crew to be incredible. This program has kept me organized and on task. Has worked wonders for me at tax time. My only concern (small one) has been in the fact that I always wished it was easier to change a client's service date or to end service with a client. But other than that small issue, they have been wonderful. At times when I needed a quick report and did not know how to create one, a member created it for me. In addition, someone from the team called me once when he could see that I was not "getting it". How cool is that?! Highly recommend this service. In fact, I have told friends about it and several have signed up over the years.

Comments: We've been using Kickserv for the past few years. We have been very please with it. It's very easy to navigate, it allows you to modify reports and fields, which you can personalize it to your business. Since the software is Web based, our technicians can check their schedule in the field, add information to there jobs, and collect payment.
We've looked at other softwares, but we feel that Kickserv gives us exactly what we need.

Comments: Our small business (8 Field Techs) has been using Kickserv for about a year now. And my overall thoughts are that it's great web-based software run by great people. We were using google calendar and paper work orders before which had a lot of room for error, a lot of double entry, and a ton of work period. Moving to Kickserv has been a great decision. It has saved us a ton of time and headache. There definitely has been a few small bumps along the road but Todd and his support team are very very responsive and have added lots of new features and continue to add more. We are now completely paperless with all of our field techs using tablets in the field. Thanks Kickserv!!

Comments: We have been using Kickserv for a couple of years. We cannot imagine working without the software. Being able to see customer balances and history before scheduling a technician is priceless as we have a opportunity to collect past due balances before the appointment. Mobile site runs great on Android, iPhone, and Windows Mobile. Quickbooks and Kickserv sync is fantastic. GCS highly recommends Kickserv and we thank them for creating a product that is not only affordable but very functional.

Comments: We have been using Kickserve for the last year or so and it works great for our plumbing business. The software is customizable enough to let us use it the way that works best for us. Pros: The ability to view my schedule on my Android phone was the primary reason that I chose Service Sidekick almost two years ago. I'm so glad that I did! Our previous scheduling information could only be accessed while out in the field if the secretary was still at the office or by remote log-in once I got to a computer. With Service Sidekick I am able to pull up my schedule while eating lunch, enter a new job that might have just been called in, then hit the notify tech option. This will send either an email or text to my electrician who can then punch it into his GPS and head that way with a descriptive read out of what he has been tasked to do and all of the customer's pertinent information. The integration with Quickbooks Online works quite well with transferring customer info through a simple sync button. This saves a ton of time when entering a service call.

Cons: The only real negative that i have to offer is that when scheduling work for a contractor that will be at an address that is not their home office. Their office address always appears on the printed work order and it can and has caused confusion. Meaning that my guys have shown up at the contractors personal home, embarrassing. There might be a way to simplify it for recurring business partners that work in other places like a remodeling General contractor. Also, with so many features, i feel like i am only skimming the surface of what Service Sidekick is capable of. My New Years resolution is to learn to use it even more effectively.

Overall: I have already shared my positive feeling regarding Service Sidekick with several fellow electricians. All of us have the common need to be able to access our schedule while out working or estimating projects. I feel like i have a much better grasp on my schedule than ever before. I can access the calender in the morning at my desk. Then on my Android or ipad while I'm in my truck or elsewhere.

Pros: It is web based. Therefore I can review the schedule and look at previous jobs without being on the office. Texting jobs to techs ensures they have the correct information.

Cons: Not all changes in SS changes in QB.

Pros: Super easy to understand and get set up. We were up and running in only 1 day. There's very little training that new users need to use SK.
Extremely flexible - I've been able to easily customize the product to show the things we like to see and to run the way we want it.
Reports - the capabilities of the reports are amazing. You can build just about any report you can imagine.
Price - I get excellent value for the price I pay. Other solutions are thousands and thousands of dollars with little to no support. But SK has flexible pricing so you pay for who you're scheduling.
Support - the support is terrific. You almost always get a live person if you have to call. The help database is a good place to look before calling.
Suggestions - Sidekick is way ahead of the curve when it comes to allowing, considering and implementing customer feedback. I've been very impressed with the ability to provide a suggestion and that I've seen many implemented.

Cons: Old data - can be hard to get rid of. I'd like to see a feature where if a user inactivates a custom field, all data in that field on job and customer records can be erased.
Text fields - have a limited number of characters so your jobs and client info have to be concise. You can't write a book for a job order.
Some features don't quite work the way you would expect (timecards) - they don't actually integrate to QB, so it's kind of a teaser and we spent a fair amount of time trying to use the time tracker only to have to go to another solution.

Overall: I probably recommend Sidekick to someone once a week. I've shopped and used other solutions and Sidekick blows them away in performance, features, price, support - across the board. I even recommend it to people who don't need to track resources because it's so flexible, you can use it as a CRM.

Overall, 5 out of 5 stars.

Pros: Service SideKick has added hours to my life per day.The fact that I can do everything Scheduling ,Calendar, Invoicing, Estimates, and Payments from my Ipad or Iphone completes my day. No more going back to the office to write the invoice or send to client. All you need is an internet connection...
I can do it all at the client and GET PAID!

Cons: I would like some further customization...which I understand is coming.

Overall: I would recommend Service SideKick to any business looking for a cost effective way to manage the flow of their paperwork
and to always have the information they need at their fingertips! Service Sideick is the way to go!

Pros: I have been using SSK for several years now and it has had a tremendous positive impact on my business. It was very easy to implement and customize and I have new employees adopting use within a day. We use SSK for scheduling which has a great drag and drop feature for rescheduled jobs. We also pretty much do all of our billing and payments directly through SSK and sync with QuickBooks. It is a great time saver from the time we answer the phone to the time the job is complete and payment is made. To top it off the support is great. I have had very few issues but when they have arisen they were handled promptly and with care. My business without it is tantamount to not having a cell phone in these days and times.

Cons: I would like to see more CRM features.

Overall: I highly recommend SSK to anyone that utilizes field staff in the service industry. In fact I am sure there could be additional applications such as in salons or spas scheduling beauticians or technicians. Overall win for the user.
