Pros: I'm a small animal House Call practice, but we also set up Express Wellness Clinics in the Birmingham, AL area doing low-cost vaccine clinics. In July of 2016, when I started to do my county wide Express Wellness Clinics, I was looking for a good, affordable, reliable, and cloud based software system. All achieved. I had used eVetPractice working with a local shelter the year before. For a single doctor mobile practice, cost per month is so perfect for me. This software is very comprehensive ( the good thing), so be aware that it will take a while to learn all the ins-and-outs, but don't be discouraged, once you use this cloud based software, it's a win-win for you and your clients. Great support to get started (Webinars), and follow-up support is exceptional. I have had fewer calls for vaccine records, etc. because clients can access their own records from eVetPractice. I can access from any computer connected to the internet. I have personally integrated with HomeAgain and recently VetsFirstChoice. Wow, how nice to have client/patient information sent directly with no other effort. Lastly, the support from eVetPractice is so reliable. If you do have a question, the "Help" tab at the bottom of the screen will usually solve most of my issues, but the Live Chat is so perfect for me as I have never waited more than a minute to get help. I can only speak as a small animal mobile practice owner, the value is worth more than the cost!

Cons: All of my questions are not necessarily in the "Help" section, but the phone/online chat are readily available. Honestly, that's the worst thing I have experienced!

Pros: How detail oriented it is and how many features one can use to communicate with a client or enter in documentation

Cons: It is difficult to navigate and freezes a lot. Difficult to connect to retriever and other ways of taking money

Pros: EASE, SPEED, ROBUST, COMPREHENSIVE, REPORTING

Cons: ORGANIZING TRAVEL SHEETS AND OTHER REPORTS IS TRICKY WHEN YOU FIRST GET STARTED

Overall: Couldn't wait to get away from the 1990's server headaches and onto the cloud...but I was nervous. I researched and demo'd my brains out...couldn't find anything I liked until I tripped across eVetpractice. We Demo'd it for a month then took the plunge. There are pro's and con's to everything so there a few things eVet can't do that the old system could do...but I don't miss them. The pro's FAR OUTWEIGH the cons. It is wicked fast, makes being paperless a delight instead of a mystery. SUPER easy to use and learn...one of my staff members was introduced to it, used it for 10 minutes and announced, " It's the Facebook of vet software."
She is right.
It's not perfect but I am delighted for the price and service. We bought another clinic 6 months later and the first thing we did was move them from Infinity to eVet.
Just get yourself a robust internet provider and do it. We use travel sheets, a ScanSnap ix500 scanner, (a must!), and a couple of Dymo labelwriters. Prepare yourself to even need less staff.
Been using for over a year now and it's one of the best moves we have made in years for our business and our medicine.

Recommendations to other buyers: DO IT. DO IT NOW. ;)

Comments: I started my own practice 6 months ago and decided to give evetpractice a try after researching different softwares for weeks. I couldn't be happier with their product and attention to detail. I have an exotics only practice and have been able to customize the software to my specific needs. They are always one click, email or phone call away. Have been able to answer all my questions and they keep making monthly updates that make using the software even easier. I can write records from home or assess information from my phone/ipad/laptop anywhere I am. I would highly recommend this software to anyone looking to start a new business or in the process of switching from paper records. It synchs with other softwares and companies, so getting results from labs, registering microchipped pets and even using quickbooks has never been easier. My staff also loves the software and are very thankful for all the paper we save! Great team and great product!

Pros: Functionality, common sense approach, ease of use, employees find easy to train on using, cloud based accessibility, integrations from 3rd parties and of course- price!

Cons: Not two way integrations with all laboratories

Overall: Can't even brag enough about EVetPractice for running a veterinary practice smoothly. The developers are top notch. Always available and responsive via their help chat box in the lower right corner. They make upgrades easily. The integrations, like VPR Cloud Formulary, Demand Force client communications, laboratory integration, email within the system- just cuts tasks down to a minimum. We use the anesthetic monitoring sheet, quick templates for histories and exams and iPads & laptops in our rooms. Best part as the practice manager - I can easily add purchase orders, schedule an appointment for a client or pull practice management reports from home!

Practice Management made easy. The millennial generation jumps right in and learns this program in a snap- click friendly!

And last thing, we had an emergency transition to this software and were up and running in 3 days with full data migration after extracting safely from previous system.

Love, use and highly recommend EVetPractice!

Recommendations to other buyers: Get a demo. Cloud based software is the next thing- you can run this on your android phone, iphone, tablet, iPad, laptop - no special software required.

Comments: Our entire team could not be happier with the software and customer support from start to finish... eVet has thought of everything on how to run a practice smooth and efficient - Love it!
We perform much more efficiently now, and our doctor reports "he likes charting now". One relief veterinarian that works with us wondered " Why doesn't everyone use this? its wonderful!" I am so happy I did my research and took the time to learn about cloud based PMS. I cant imagine ever having a server in the basement again!

Comments: We switched from on-site server software for EMR to cloud-based EMR. This has drastically improved our efficiency and given us other opportunities. Servers and the software associated with them was becoming very expensive along with regular IT support. We no longer need in-house IT support!!! Amazing customer service and willingness to add new features.

Pros: Lots of reports - still learning what they all do
Appointment book is easy to schedule
Sending mass emails is easy
Can monitor chronic meds and non-wellness testing

Cons: Data loss during migration.
Customer service must be over online chat or email.
Linked items do not populate invoice/estimate when they are in a "Package"
Can't link a County Dog License # to the "License" code
Can't automatically allow all active clients to access client portal (have to do this individually)
Vaccine quick reference box includes ALL vaccines given (even those that have expired and have been updated with new vaccines)

Overall: If you are 100% paperless, you will lose data during the migration. We consistently lost data across the board. When it was brought to the attention of eVet, they were unable to retrieve the lost data. It's a very imperfect system. Fortunately for us, we have always printed paper copies of our records as a backup so we can still access our patients's medical records.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are 100% paperless, do not choose this software because you WILL lose data.

We migrate from Intravet all the time and have had no issues in the past bringing in the data. As of now, we have corrected everything that was reported to us during the migration and go live period. The program designers listen to feedback and try to make the suggested changes. Keeping the medical records in the cloud makes accessing patient files very easy. Pros: Configurability, responsiveness of development team, support

Cons: Can be a little intimidating for the less tech-savvy user until they get familiar with the program. Being cloud based, there is sometimes a little lag while a page loads. Its not at all bad, but staff used to an in-house, server or locally hosted program can perceive the cloud-based nature to be a bit "laggy." If they avoid trying to click 30 times in the 2 seconds they are waiting on something to load, that helps too :)

Overall: Since making the transition about a month ago, things have gone pretty smoothly. The support staff has been great and my employees love the live chat feature to get support right on the spot. When we've run into a snag or had suggestions for improvement, they are addressed very quickly!

Comments: eVet Practice is the best veterinary software available. If you are looking for a software for your clinic- stop looking and get eVet. Not only is the program itself incredible- online, cloud based, accessible from anywhere and with so many options available but the support is unreal. These guys will literally do everything they can to help every single customer. The software has made my practice so easy to run, saved me tons of money and is so dependable. The customer support is available with a live chat anytime you are having an issue and they bent over backwards for me to help me include French in the program and they would do the same for any clinic. I can't say enough good things about this software.

Comments: Going paperless has been one of my biggest fears and something I never believed I would ever do with my practice. I couldn't perceive how entering information into a computer for a patient's medical record could ever replicate the feel of having a physical chart in hand or even be able to effectively provide me with that information in the same way. I am a doctor who thoroughly records every little detail about the patient. Evetpractice has totally changed my mindset and turned me into a believer. Not only has it given me everything I need to effectively keep records and notations, it has provided me with a means to do even more than before with my charts and streamlined it all in such a way that is much more convenient and time efficient. All of our X-ray's, blood work, photos, etc... go straight into the patients record and can be easily pulled up for referral from anywhere that has internet access. The evet tech support is patient and goes out of their way to make things work. I had some concerns during the transition but Mel and the team were always there ready to help. There were a few migration issues that arose, i.e. discounts not moved over from the old software, inactivated clients were hidden in the new software and a few other small things; but, all in all went very smoothly especially considering we have a 10,000 client base that were moved over from a dated system. There are some things I would like to see changed and made more convenient in order to see results - fecals and OHW test being the main two. Overall the program is extremely user friendly and receives my highest recommendation.

Comments: I can check the schedule, run reports, enter charges, look up client info and anything I would normally have to do at the office from anywhere, and from any device that has internet access. I love being able to check my schedule while I'm out at lunch or off for the day right from my cell phone. I can finish typing up my charts from home at night. Also, it allows you to look up client and patient info when you have an emergency call at night. The program itself is easier to navigate than some of the other programs out there. The program is also customizable. I have not found anything negative about the program, so no cons to list. Price is also reasonable and customer service is above and beyond.

Comments: We switched to evetpractice about 3 months ago in anticipation of moving from a strictly mobile practice to a stationery practice. There is a little learning curve as there is with all software. However, support has always walked me through any challenges. In fact, the transition has been much easier and smoother than i even anticipated. Everyone you speak with is always helpful and eager to find a solution for you. It integrates with all our systems and I couldn't recommend them higher. Great software, great support, easy to use, and affordable. We have been extremely happy with their service.

Comments: Pros: Easy to customize the templates and auto-functions of the software. Web based program makes accessing the system easy from any internet connection. Customer service is amazing. Our rep is a member of our clinic team now and tries to make the software really work for our individual needs. The software is constantly developing and the company really listens to the feedback on how to improve it!
Cons: No mobile app...yet. Mild limitations in software capabilities but we are hopeful that the company will overcome that in time. For us, most of the "cons" are linked to us not fully accessing all the potential in program, not in the program itself.

Comments: EVetPractice is a great product! Once you get the hang of it, it is simple and intuitive to use but also very capable of performing many functions for your practice. It is cloud based and can run on my iPhone and iPad without problems.

My practice is a food animal ambulatory practice. Although EVP was not created for my type of practice, I have found that it is easily adaptable to suite my needs.

The support team is very helpful and responsive to questions and concerns. They are accessible and prompt to respond and always friendly.

Comments: We have adapted to a new software quite well. eVet has done so much to help us change to their software so that it fit what we were used to and it works for us well. It has pros and cons- some they can help with and some they cannot, but we deal with them. They are very willing to hear our concerns and seem to work hard to make changes in the system that will help all users. No software is perfect, but this has been excellent for us and I would certainly recommend it. Customer service and having 24 hour help and someone to talk to live 9-5 at no extra cost is above and beyond. That makes it worth it right there! They are so nice and helpful and you never feel as if you are a burden asking for help. Nothing beats this customer service. NOTHING.

Comments: We were using practice software which had served us well but had no support. The software crashed and with no support we could not use it. eVetPractice was wonderful. They managed to extract our data and migrate it to their platform in a matter of days. They provided tutorials and live support and had us up and running in one week. This was a lifesaver for us. It was not all smooth sailing as there were some problems to solve and old habits to break on our end. I am happy we decided to work with eVetPractice and find the software easy to use and has excellent support should we have a question or problem.

Comments: We had been using Impromed for about 10 years. We really wanted to take our practice forward and felt that our software was really holding us back in too many ways. It was a big decision. We converted over to eVet about 2 1/2 weeks ago. The transition does take planning and work to ensure everything is correct. But I can already see the benefits. Everything is just easy now. This is going to help us take customer service to a very high level, giving us the ability of 'high' touch with low effort: ex.email follow ups are easy to do; less phone call reminders and simple auto email reminders; signatures on documents rather than Topaz (ugh!). I can access eVet while I'm at the gym! on my Android or iPhone or iPad, etc. I won't say that it's cheap, I prefer to say it's a great value! With the customer service I have no idea how they can do this for such little money. I could go on and on.

The only unfortunate issue is that Idexx doesn't want to play and insists on being a dinosaur ... good luck Idexx! We have our sites on other options and will drag out our equipment if necessary to the curb ... integration at any cost! Less labor; better customer service; no missed charges; etc.

Comments: Packed with features that are easy to use. Any problems or quirks are handled quickly by the caring support staff. Frequent updates keep the software at it's best.

We have had times when the servers are slow. There was even a time when it was completely down but they got it up very quickly. That is the one downside. If you can't access the server, or if it's slow, you're out of luck. I'm not sure what kind of workaround they could have for that.

Comments: We are so happy we made the switch from IDEXX Cornerstone to EvetPractice. We wish we would have known about this cloud based software when we opened our practice in 2012. After all the the terrible customer service and support we received with IDEXX it made it very easy to transition to EvetPractice. Evetpractice is user friendly and makes integration with Abaxis in-house and reference lab very easy. We also LOVE the e-mail feature of this software, it is so convenient to be able to email records to owners and other vet offices. I can not sing enough good praises about Stephanie and Eddie Heinz and the entire staff. They are always so helpful and quick to respond and resolve any issues. If you have been considering EvetPractice for software for your practice then it defiantly comes with our high recommendation.

Comments: Coming from another software that was not nearly as adaptable, we have been very pleased with this software. The customizable features have been very useful for our practice that does both acupuncture and rehabilitation. Great customer service and responsiveness has been great! Comments: Our clinic switched to the evet program from a very outdated system. Evet was able to convert most of our data from our dated program with just a few glitches that their team was quick to help us fix. The appointment calendar has worked well for our two doctor, two location practice. The system is very customizable and the customer service is excellent. Evet provides personalized attention to each clinic. Mel has always been very quick to respond to any confusion we have with very helpful advice. The live chat is a great feature and we always receive a quick and helpful response. The evet team did a great job of training everyone and setting up multiple training sessions. Our clinic doesn¿t use all of the available features at this time but we are very pleased with the program. The evet team is constantly updating and improving the program.

Comments: Our hospital and staff have been using EvetPractice for about 11 months now. The transition from our prior software package has been extremely easy and everyone in the hospital is very pleased with the software. It is well thought out and being cloud based allows for continuous updates without any time on our part.
It is amazing to be able to access any part of the software from anywhere in the world!!
The staff at EvetPractice is a 5 STAR quality group. They are very responsive, always available and spend as much time as we need to be sure we are getting the biggest bang for our buck.

Comments: I own a house call practice exclusively for exotic animals and I'm always on the road. Keeping paper files was very challenging and I had being looking for a digital solution that could be stored in the cloud for a long time.

I researched a lot and after I met the staff at one of the conferences I was really impressed.
After you sign up it gets even better. It still feels like a family business and treat every client in a special way. The customer care is AMAZING. They truly make you feel special and they listen to all suggestions you might have. SO different than the big companies that just treat you well at the beginning to get your business and then don't care. Not to mention the difference in price.

The website is easy to use and very intuitive. It allows a lot of personalization and you can even create your own forms and menus.

Initially I had to customize it a lot for exotic animals but I got excellent guidance from the support team and learned how to make changes and add things very fast.

I have been using it for almost 1 yr now and it always worked properly, without delays and never crashed.

I love that they keep on adding functions to make it better and better. If you have an idea about something that could work well you can talk to the support team and they will try to create it for you.

I use it in my computer, iPad and even iphone.

I strongly recommend eVetpractice! One of the best things I did for my practice!

Comments: We have been using eVetPractice since we bought a minimally computerized practice 9 months ago. Thus far, almost everything has gone very smoothly. The interface is user-friendly and fairly intuitive once you get your feet wet. For better or worse, it seems that there are 3-4 ways to get to every page and to accomplish most of what you want. Inventory management is very smooth, as is the handling of reminders (it is flexible so that you can use text, email, or good ol' postcards). We haven't had any substantial periods of the website out of service, so that has been great. Like most vet software/websites, I feel like there is probably much more I could be doing with it, but right now I am liking what I can do.
Looking back, the only thing I would have done differently would to have been more proactive getting the tech/customer support involved over the first month or two to help guide us as we were setting up our inventory/procedure settings and especially in setting up the reminder settings. But even getting a late start, they have been able to get us running smoothly.

Comments: While Evetpractice is a young company, the thought process and innovation this program brings is amazing. The program is multi faceted and the technical staff as well as the sales staff provide ample support. There is a small to large learning curve depending on your computer literacy and the manner in which you use your current system. The greatest benefit is NOT having to worry about backing up your system and system failure. Evetpractice has thought of you and the protection of your practice from the start. Updates to the system are automatic (and currently at no cost). They are done to the system while you are offline and notices of the changes are sent to your email. The upgrades are easily forwarded to other staff members so they can be kept current. No monthly back-ups, no applying upgrades and changes to each stationary station and spending hours on the phone with technical support.

Comments: OnceI was out of the initial purchase and training period everything went downhill quickly.
From the first payment I had an issue with using my rewards credit card; specifically an error message that information was missing and transaction had to be reentered. When I called eVetPractice they stated that it was an issue with Intuit, and they could not help me. I chose to do business with eVetPractice, not Intuit; eVetPractice chose to use Intuit for their payment system and should be doing the legwork. We practitioners are busy, our time is valuable, and I was paying them for their service. These are the truly frustrating issues of practice ownership. In the end it was a lot of hassle for what turned out to be a glorified vaccination reminder program for my practice.
To summarize my issues:
1) The system is cloud based, yet not apparently functional for all browsers. Frustrations were akin to Zoetis' website/dashboard.
2) Solicitation. I received several calls and from their partners wanting me to use their payment systems, or buy their product. I am still getting these emails and calls months after discontinuing eVetPractice. This is frustrating especially after the experience with Intuit.
3) Not user friendly for other members of my staff, they became frustrated quickly, even though one had sat in on the training with me. No one besides myself even attempted to use it.
4)At startup I had asked about what would happen to my client records if I chose to no longer use the program. I was told that I would have access to the records, just not be able to use the program or change anything, for a few months afterward. This was not the case, I was locked out as soon as my subscription was over.

Even as I was writing this I received a call from Bluefin, asking specifically to speak to me (not my manager, who is capable) during office hours. The representative stated that eVetPractice had asked them to reach out to me and that he knew he was catching me at a bad time.

We regret that you did not enjoy the software. The payment situation with Intuit was frustrating. We contacted Intuit¿s IT as we do not have access to their system. We did follow up, but you ended our service shortly after. The system will run on browsers including: IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Recent versions of these browsers should have no problem, but outdated may. Bluefin does reach out to clients to explain benefits of an integrated payment solution. You were our contact, they would have asked for you. We don¿t have any other partners that should have contacted you. The system is designed to be intuitive, but we encourage all staff be trained during the setup, and we check in regularly. It is not possible for us to tell who is comfortable with the system unless it¿s communicated. It is not standard to store data after ending service. We can provide that for a reduced cost, upon request. You asked that we end your service and said there was nothing else needed.

Comments: I am a solo, mobile veterinarian. I don't have the capital to drop several K on some of these other veterinary software programs, but I needed to go paperless. The cloud based program allows me to update records wherever I go. I can authorize prescriptions and answer client questions immediately, instead of waiting until the end of the day when I got back to the office to review the paper charts. Only down side is that can't do the expense side of accounting. That was easy enough to set up with an excel spreadsheet and then import the e vet income portion to make a profit/loss sheet.

Comments: The ease of use of this software provides a much more efficient day to day running of our ambulatory practice. The cloud based form is excellent as we are on the road all day and when we get back to base at night we do not need to worry about uploading the day's activities or backing up the system. We are a large animal practice but there are not very many times when we are unable to connect to the internet or a Wi FI connection to input charges out in the field. The mobility of the system with the opportunity to be entirely wireless with billing, client forms and even credit card payments cuts into the hours of book work tremendously. The customer service provided by the eVetpractice team is impeccable. They are always readily available with great answers. I am so grateful to have them as the center of my business!

Comments: I have been exposed to or used most of the major software. My latest software wanted me to spend almost $100,000 to upgrade. I switched to eVetPractice for a very modest conversion fee and the monthly software charge. NO hardware changes. I can even run it on my phone in an emergency. We have access from home after hours and on weekends.

Conversion was one of the best I ever had. There were of course problems, but the team responded quickly and fixed the glitches. They customized records for us, created new forms, and have even created enhancements we've suggested.

You won't find a friendlier more responsive group anywhere!

Comments: I was hesitant to use an Veterinary software system from past experience (and frustration) with using AVImark years ago. I remember countless updates that would make my whole reminder system crash and hours I would have to spend to fix it. Ugh. AVImark, never again. However being a mobile Vet, paper files are cumbersome and using a simple word document was not time efficient when it came to updating the file, providing receipts, etc. I read a lot of on-line reviews and decided to contact eVet. The customer service (Mel Heinz) was the deciding factor that made me choose to try eVet before trying other products. She was extremely professional, helpful and courteous. I have been using the product for several months now and it has cut my administration time down significantly due to the ease of being able to update client files from any computer anywhere, automatic receipt generation (which I was previously making out by hand). The automatic client reminders, which I did not have before, have increased client compliance at returning for rechecks in a timely manner and the appointment reminders have reduced/eliminated missed appointments. Overall I am very happy with this system. My only complaint is that for someone new to a Vet software system, there are so many various options in the system and that in itself can be a bit overwhelming at first. However, customer support has always been there immediately to point me in the right direction and now that I am getting the hang of using it, I am extremely happy with the product and love it the ease of it's design. For anyone with a paper system (or a software system that is not fitting your needs), I would highly encourage you to try this program.

We are a dermatology specialty practice and thus we use programs like this a little differently than a general practice. We have found that this system is very adaptable to our unique needs. eVetPractice is user friendly, has a pleasant and professional appearance, and fulfills the majority of the functionality we need. The fact that it is internet-based has made it very convenient to use, especially since we travel to satellite offices and need easy access to our patient records from afar. What is truly outstanding is the helpfulness of the support staff. Comments: I took over the reception desk at a small animal veterinary clinic and had to be competent with bookings , patient check-ins and outs. After three months of humiliation in front of clients I am somewhat confident. Had I not been an owner I would have been fired. In fact, there have been many a day I wanted to fire myself for my inability to manage the program. I still have great difficulty adding treatments.
My vet is having a terrible time getting her notes into the program. We are still keeping paper files as well in the meanwhile, as we attempt to go paperless. ^^ The transition is painful.
Receipts and vaccine certificates look very professional and customer service is always available.

Comments: eVetPractice was able to transfer data from an archaic software system we had been operating with since 1990! Their customer service is excellent, quick to respond to any of our concerns. Some of the forms we were able to tweak for our needs but some of the forms we were unable to. At times we have lost data because in areas of the software program it does not automatically save. eVetPractice regularly makes improvements and is willing to consider our suggestions. Overall we have been pleased with our decision to use eVetPractice.

Comments: Our animal hospital transitioned to eVetPractice to take us "paperless" from traditional paper medical records and from Intravet for practice management.
There was a steep learning curve for our staff and doctors to go from paper to paperless along with going from Intravet to eVetPractice for the invoicing and reporting. Fortunately, the staff and owners at eVetPractice have made the process as painless as possible.
Whenever there is large amounts of data converted from one system to another, there will be some hiccups, but fortunately those were very few with our conversion, and all issues were resolved very quickly and efficiently.
Some strengths of eVetPractice include the amazing flexibility of setup for your individual practice, super-responsive customer/technical support, access to records online anywhere, and intuitive medical records. Every time we have asked for a specific functionality, the answer has been affirmative, and a solution has been created for our needs very quickly.
The cost of implementing eVetPractice was quite affordable. Our biggest cost was upgrading our computers, network, and internet access to make sure that we didn't have any issues getting online to have access to our cloud-based system.
Weaknesses have been few - biggest from my point of view is the lack of "canned" reports that take only 1 or 2 mouse-clicks to generate quickly and conveniently. I would not let that deter anyone from giving eVetPractice a try, because the reporting is very flexible and you can pull out almost any information you are looking for, it just may take a little longer than with some other systems. That reporting functionality is the only reason to not give 5 stars overall.
Overall we have been very pleased with our choice of eVetPractice.

Comments: Evetpractice is by far much superior to any other veterinary software on the market in my opinion! We have used a major brand software for our practice for five years before switching and I can tell you that the team at evet are years ahead of the competition! Evetpractice is a software for veterinarians that want to move forward with practice efficiency, and electronic medical record keeping. It is so easy to use anyone can use it with just a small amount of training. I was extremely nervous about making a software change but the transition was very smooth and we really did not have any big issues. The ever present chat box open on the screen allow for immediate help whenever a question is encountered. If software changes need to be made they are willing to target those and make any suggested reasonable changes to make the software better. I would not hesitate to change software to evetpractice if you want to move forward and take your veterinary practice to the highest level!

Comments: I have been using eVetPractice for 4 months. My favorite feature of the program is its accessibility. Overall, the site is easy to learn how to use. The customer service that this company provides is unbelievable! It's refreshing to know a company will still respond to your problems and needs as quickly as the team at eVetPractice does! However, I do feel that some of the features could be more streamlined. (I'm hoping that tech support will eventually make a few of these bigger changes for me!!) Overall, I am so happy I made the change. It has made my practice more efficient and shows our clients a more professional image.

Comments: In retrospect, switching to a new Veterinary Management System and going paperless, and changing some procedures and straightening out all of our messy data in only 6 weeks was a bit insane. The smart thing we did was to have eVetPractice on site for training and go live. Although eVetPractice could not be more different than IDEXX Cornerstone, it is also very logical. Our staff was amazing at picking up the new system and eVet's support was even better. The data transfer was clean, our downtime was only a half day because we wanted to do a full inventory, and within 2-3 days we are all pros at the eVet system. The ease of use is eVets strength. It does not have the massive reporting module that Cornerstone has, but has had the reports that I need. Also, eVet is faster than Cornerstone even though the servers it runs are 4 states away. No more nightly reboots and end of day processing for us! We are a single three doctor practice. Do not hesitate to give eVetPractice a try if you are considering upgrading Veterinary Management Systems.

Comments: With a practice with 2 separate locations - there is always "extra" worry when it comes time for a data conversion. eVet was very attentive to our concerns and made the transition as seamless as possible. Any issues that arose were small ones and were taken care of almost immediately.

As with any new system there is always a learning curve - and Eddie and his team have shown the utmost in patience as we made good use of their live support system.
Response time is really remarkable - and suggestions for customization are always meet with a positive and timely response.

The Lab Dashboard has really streamlined our communication with our clients regarding lab work and all communications are easily accessible via the "Communication Log".

The ability to create our own templates for reminders, emails, documents and reports was really one of the strongest points for our choosing eVet. With a little coaching from the eVet team we are creating custom forms for all aspects of our office - something that we were unable to do with our previous system.

Because we are not a paperless office yet - there are some features of eVet that are not as user friendly as they would be for a completely cloud-based EMR office. But I have no doubt that as we continue to work towards our goal of a paperless environment - eVet and their excellent support staff will be there to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Comments: Just wanted to share my experience with converting from a server bases PMS to a cloud based PMS over the past weeks. I decided to go with evetpractice as my initial interaction with the owners (husband wife team) was so awesome. I found them to not only be very nice, but extremely receptive to input for product improvement. I was very skeptical as to how all my data would be converted yet extremely pleased at this point (having the expectation that it wouldn't be perfect and take time to determine if it's all there helped :)). It was a bit of a leap as I converted from the oldest PMS for macs. Although my previous PMS was feature rich with lots of customization options, there were many reasons why I left. Knowing that 25 years ago how unpopular Mac operating systems were, many programs needed to be created to allow function, especially with a label printer (limited to 2 specific, antiquated dymo label writers; one they don't even make anymore so good luck finding an SE300 and the other has an incompatible firmware that is the latest dymo has for the SE450). In addition my previous PMS was never willing to correct many of the very functions that allow for increased work flow, including inventory glitches (think nightmare). I'll stop venting.

My decision to go with a PMS at the other end of the spectrum (2.5 yr old company with a young product) was clear when, after the demo and me inquiring about prescription refill function that didn't exist that day, became available; the Rx refill option was completely developed, functional and pushed to all users that SAME EVENING to be used the following day!! And that was the first example of the numerous changes that they have been so receptive to incorporating. No more waiting to see if that function was incorporated in the next software upgrade. No waiting until down time to install only to learn that function you have been told would come is absent, even after >4 years of requesting. Eventually the CEO ignores the request.

So far I am very happy with my decision to migrate to evetpractice.

Comments: For someone that has been a veterinary hospital owner since 1995 I came to the conclusion that I just had to suffer with less than adequate veterinary practice software until my business partner came across eVetPractice late last year. And boy am I glad he did. I know for all practice owners and office managers changing practice software can be horrifying because we all hate change BUT that's eVetPractice's strong suit - ease of changeover because of absolutely OUTSTANDING customer service. Our story is simple, our software was crashing around us because our old vendor had not planned on the next iMac update and we had to switch in 1 week (yes 7 days!) and amazingly eVetPractice made it happen - conversion of old data, online training and the willingness to customize some reports that we simply couldn't do without.

Am I happy? Hell yes! Do I want to tell my competitors? Hell no! But it is great software, very flexible, intuitive and easily customizable. Our record keeping is better but our doctors do go a little slower, but our medical records are much better which saves us all time in the long run, and since we've gone to EMR we haven't misplaced one file. The integration of lab work into the medical records also makes client communication much easier and better and my doctors love using the software from home to follow cases. I couldn't be happier and would be pleased to answer any questions a prospective user of this software would have. I'm on the Dean's Advisory Council at the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine and I'm recommend they switch to eVetPractice - that's how much I like it.

Eddie Heinz, with eVet Practice, turned the task of choosing what software would be the best choice for our practice, to a no brains decision! The program is very user friendly, but should you run into questions or problems, Eddie is readily available to assist. He also has taken suggestions and requests for additions to the software that have had to enabled us to be more efficient within our practice.

Comments: eVetPractice.com was a young company when I began my mobile veterinary practice, and I can say that it has been wonderful to grow with them! Cloud-based software is a great solution for me. I love that it is virtually paperless in so many areas, including records, emailing receipts & Rabies Certificates to owners, having lab results delivered into my patients records, sending referral information via email - again, all beneficial for my mobile practice and MY TIME! And the software has evolved on a daily basis. I have made requests and suggestions - many clients have done the same - and the software is updated and modified continually to enhance the offering and the ease of using the system. You feel that it is being customized just for you, and in many cases, it is! You will never find better customer service than you will experience with eVetPractice.com!!! We liked this software for our practice initially because it was so complete, versatile and matched our budget. After speaking with them, even before we bought a contract, we asked about some features - and they changed features based on our suggestions!
Since then, the company engineers work around the clock (it seems!) to help with our issues - mostly by inventing new items, buttons, windows and features to meet every suggestion or issue we have. The customer service is by far outstanding!!
Once we got over a few operating bumps (hardware configurations) and understand the program now, we feel like it is custom designed just for us. We have considerably reduced operating costs in time and paper, exceeding our own expectations. We are only 3 months into it and feel like all is running quite smoothly. We have no regrets and highly recommend Evet to any practice interested in going paperless (or mostly paperless) - and for sure Cloud based, whether mobile or not.
We are excited to see this company and the Practice Management software they offer grow!

Comments: eVetPractice.com offers cloud based computing that allows access to my practice's information anywhere I have access to the internet. Improvements in the software's functionality occur monthly if not weekly and have a wide reaching benefit to a variety of practice settings. Every now and again a bug or glitch does occur but this is never threatening and is fixed very quickly. Compared to the "time honored/older" programs out there to choose from this is by far more user friendly, more economical (contract and hardware requirements), and certainly provides superior customer service.

The Evetpractice team took a lot of time and care to ensure no t was uncrossed or any i's were undotted. All of the vaccination records and client history converted. All inventory, procedures converted. Since the change, the evetpractice team has been more prompt in responding and meeting our needs than we could ever have imagined. Pros: eVetpractice.com was easy to set up and get started with. It provides me with the mobility and flexibility I need for my house call practice. And the support from eVet is second to none! They have been with me every step of the way, from the introduction to the software to rapid responses to all my questions. They have even helped customize the program to meet my specific needs. This software has been a real time saver for me!

Cons: I really have no complaints because so much of the program has been customized to suit my needs! There is no better approach than that!

Overall: I highly recommend giving eVetpractice.com a go! I think you will find it comfortable to use, especially with the flexibility of customization that is possible. And you will have all the help you need from eVet staff to achieve that customization, as well as to answer any questions you have. This is a great product for veterinary record keeping!
