Pros: Solid, dependable system that is clean and easy to use. I have been using the express version for some time now and love it so much I recently upgraded to take full advantage of the tool BigTime offers.

Cons: Reporting. The reporting system is definitely powerful and the pre-built reports are good, but to get what you really want you'll need to spend some time setting up and modifying the reports. So there is definitely some time you'll have to spend there.

Pros: It's very easy for all of our team members to enter their time. With our prior system, employees sent their time sheets to an admin person who then had to enter it into our system. Really like the ability to enter time from anywhere either online or through the mobile app.

Cons: So far we have no complaints. It would be nice if the iPad app version allowed for full week view when entering time similar to the website layout.

Pros: The reports make it so easy and fast to add up time for billing.
Able to track each employees time individually.
The stopwatch feature is great for keeping time for you!

Cons: Wish there was a better feature for importing to Quickbooks. Also wish there was some way to mark in bigtime what times have been accounted for in billing. We bill clients on different terms (some are yearly, some are monthly, and so on). It would be nice to be able to mark if time has already been figured into a bill

Pros: I appreciate the intuitiveness and ease of "editing" information. Really like the "export" function as well.

Pros: its easy to use and keeps my billing and time organized, also I like being able to easily keep track of my PTO

Cons: sometimes I need to transport bills into word in order to get the spacing and font correct. I wish I could do everything inside the program

Pros: Timers are easy to use. So far, the setup has been fairly simple to this point. The Quickbooks and Lacerte integration.

Cons: Some of the user rights and notifications could be more descriptive. I'm a new user so limited exposure up to this point

Pros: BigTime syncs with Quickbooks. Customer support has a quick response time. My provider was a proficient user!

Cons: The number of screens I have to go through to complete a transaction. The fact that I can not "drill down" on all transactions.

Pros: We have been with Big Time for the past 6 years and have recently went from Enterprise to IQ Pro, and we just are so pleased with all the improvements. Brea, the BT consultant has been fantastic in helping us transition. We have had a great response with the support team! she has gone over and beyond in getting our needs met. I needed some customized reports, and she was able to turn around in just a few hours. Overall, we are very pleased and happy to be a part of the BT family.

Cons: The syncing tends to be an issue at times. Once synced, the data tends to not always be correct. We work closely with the Support Team to resolve

Pros: BigTime has saved me hours of work. My company used to input everything by hand through excel and now we have all our employees do time sheets through BigTime. It is very easy to use. The reporting and tracking is very helpful. Data entry/recall is great.

Cons: On several occassions while posting timesheets from BigTime to Quickbooks, there have been some unexplainable software glitches. This slows down our progress and we have to contact support. The issue is usually on BigTime's end and we cannot fix it on our own.

Overall: Daily time tracking is much easier to do.

Pros: I love that I can log my time or start a timer on my phone to keep up with my billable time on the go. I also love the functionality with Quickbooks Online.

Cons: It can be a little glitchy sometimes on my iPhone but it has gotten better over time. Sometimes the timer won't stop or it will double the time. A little annoying, but not so much that I have considered going elsewhere.

Pros: The software is easy to use and figure out. As a new user to any administrative software, I found it easy to pick up.

Cons: No way to customize invoice reports (column width), no way to organize custom reports, not intuitive to have N/C items left off of invoices. Chat option was not helpful, no immediate response and I was logged off. The submit buttons on the bottom of the screen are too small and look like more text and not the submit button. We used to use Concur and there was an option to email your receipts and they would be downloaded for the user. Our employees miss that attribute.

The training sessions have been paramount to my success with using the software. Brea rocks!

Pros: Straight forward navigation on all tabs makes all operations easy. I like that all of the administrator functions are kept fairly simple; there are a lot of great ways to customize almost everything, without being overwhelming to learn. Most customizations are nice since you really only need to set them up once, then make small tweaks until everything is just right. The software will be very easy to train new employees to use. I love that it links to Quickbooks; I have so much less leg work than my previous software when it comes to data entry. So far a fairly smooth transition from the previous software.

Cons: While there are a lot of ways to customize the appearance of pages for employees, the invoices are still fairly restrictive. I find it odd that I can't change little things like: justifications (Overall message stuck in the center of the page and I can't indent it lower), and the job name is right justified and continues long names to the next line mid word sometimes; the color or boldness of each text line (ex. I would like the job name bold or larger font and some lines to be in color). I know these changes can be made as a word doc, but then it won't change my template in Big Time.. Second, creating a report to my liking has been very challenging. I need a monthly report for each project manager with an individual detailed overview of each project every month. However, when I have tried to tailor existing reports or make my own I always get an error that my report can't be created. Third, our billing cycle falls mid month and it would be preferable if timesheets and billing could be broken up by custom billing cycle rather than monthly. It's hard to track the cycle with just a weekly timesheet view. It's a change we can work with, but it requires a lot of extra work for the admin to constantly filter in invoicing. Lastly, the character limit on job titles is painfully small. We have a hard time getting all crucial information to fit. It would help dramatically if the job info screen had a place to record the address of the job.

Overall: Ease of use with Quickbooks integrations and lots of customizations for staff

Pros: Training, Customer Service, Integration with Quickbooks. Once it is set up, it will be a great asset to our business, so that we can track profitability of jobs.

Cons: Getting it all set up to launch has been a struggle for me, mainly due to my own personal issues and trying to understand what information is necessary.

Once I spoke with Chris my product issues were handled in no time.

Pros: Its fun to navigate around, there are multiple ways to obtain the desired information. I like the layout of reports. I like being able to drop reports into excel or a pdf.

Cons: I haven't looked into this much so it may already be a feature, but I would love a small start/stop timer + client that stayed in the top corner of my desktop so I didn't have to open the app itself. Minor, but it would be nice.

Pros: Easy and simple to use to do timesheets which would otherwise be a pain. Since this has to a hundred characters I will also that the different reports which can be generated are also a benefit.

Cons: Easy to do timesheets. Meaning that doing timesheets was always a necessary evil but this program takes the pain out of it.

To date, the integration and training by BigTime has been excellent.

Pros: The software has LOTS of functionality - we were very pleased with everything it can do. The only times I have had to contact Customer Support are when I am trying to learn a new function; the system is very stable and never crashes, unlike some of the programs we use!

Cons: I would like it if there was an interface back from QuickBooks to Big Time to update the status of invoices as they go through the billing process. For example, when an invoice gets sent to a customer, or paid, QB would automatically change the status in Big Time to Sent or Paid/Closed. Right now, I am updating the statuses in Big Time manually, and it is a pain to keep Big Time and QB in sync.

Overall: Ease of keeping track of all of the engagements for each client in one place; the ability to run reports that are extremely helpful and able to be customized so that I can see the exact information I want.

Pros: BigTime saves me hours of work. My company used to input everything by hand in excel, and now I am able to have my employees enter their own hours. I can pull reports and keep track of all of our projects with ease. I print reports weekly and have Project Managers review them all to make sure we are in line with budgets and our schedules. I am able to have separate tasks under each job and even move hours with ease if needed. Employees submit their time sheets and I have the ability to reject them if needed. I love that employees are also able to access BigTime from home too. If someone is out of the office and I need time sheets, they can log right in and submit them for me to process payroll.

Cons: There are some quirks with closing projects. Once can still show on time tracking, even though it has no open tasks.

Overall: Reporting and ease of access to all of my data.

So far, we've gotten nothing but rave reviews from our users about BigTime - it's the best!

Pros: Ease of use, very straight-forward and user-friendly, easy to train new users and the customization aspects are wonderful! Prompt and knowledgable support staff. Top notch product!

Cons: We found out post-purchase about a Sync Manager that had to be installed to work with Quickbooks Desktop - that has been a source for several issues. I wish we would have known about that before hand. The BigTime support, however, has been PHENOMENAL and helped us through all of the issues.

Overall: Centralized, manageable timekeeping tool for a varied and dislocated workforce.

Pros: Integration is easy. Support is great. Use is very easy, roll out went very smoothly. Works on phones, tablets, PC. You can start a timer on one device and pause or stop it logged into another device.

Cons: The occasional glitch where the task or work code doesn't save properly. Never ever messes the time up though.

Overall: Great time tracking and job cost tracking.

Had difficulty merging two customers. Spoke to Sam and once again, he was able get my issue resolved

Pros: Accuracy of data/hours entered each day. Tracking is very good as well. I love the feature where I can enter time and data for other associates in order to keep all records up to date.

Cons: At times it is difficult to bring items over for Quick books. We receive errors and at one point it stated it was brought over but in reality it was not.

Pros: The thing I like most is the customization available to fit the needs of my work. It allows for flexibility with time sheets, expenses, and invoicing.

Cons: The thing that I like least about this software would be the small glitches that can happen when syncing with QuickBooks. There are rare occasions when some things just don't translate well. They probably happen after small updates to the system. Either way, they are annoying when it is something that normally works. BT is normally good to help me work through these issues though.

BigTime has been excellent, easy to use and a great value. Customer service has also been very good.

Pros: I like the ease of use

Cons: I don't like having to input a comment with every time entry input. Would like to designate certain categories for comments while accepting others sans comment.

Pros: It appears to be customized to the client.

Cons: Wish comments could be saved so that I didn't have to type the same ones over and over.

Overall: Is there any way you could save comments so that you don't have to keep typing the same ones over and over? I only gave 3 stars for Features and Customer Support because I don't really know what is available and I haven't ever contacted customer support. No stars for value because I have no idea how much the system cost.

Comments: I used Ebillity for a number of years. Things frequently went wrong and their customer service was terrible. I switched to Big Time several months ago. I rarely have any problems. When I do, I can get someone to fix it immediately.

Overall: Being new to BigTime, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get my point across. I was skeptical of LiveChat due to not being able to get immediate attention. I was wrong. As soon as I made contact withCustomer support representative, I was relieved. She was attentive and patient with my questions. Comments: BigTime has a ton of functionality that is great for our timekeeping and invoicing needs, but the software can be a bit daunting to use. After using for a four months, we are still figuring out how the software works and have to frequently go back and edit entries we discover are incorrect through trial and error. That said, we are lightyears ahead of our old timesheet tracking method. Quickbooks integration is also a huge plus.

Overall: We are a small sized engineering firm, but have grown over the past 20 year. We had a one person, manual entry (paper timesheet) based program. Changing to Big Time, a program that allows employees to enter their timesheets online, has totally streamlined our billing process. We are thrilled with the program.

Comments: Just stated using BigTime this month for time tracking, budget tracking and invoicing. Did training with customer support representative. She has been a wonderful resource to reach out to. After going though both sessions of training we came across some issues that we didn't come up while training and the cust care representative was able to walk us though the processes smoothly. I am finally getting a handle on the BigTime software and am looking forward to really exploring all its possibilities in the future.

Pros: User interface, budget management capabilities, ease of invoicing.

Overall: The budget management and invoicing capabilities in BigTime are powerful and easy to use. While we did invest some time in the initial setup and integration with QuickBooks (as expected) we found the the process to be straight forward. Our employees began entering entering their time and expenses immediately after the initial "On board 1" training session. The web user interface is easy to navigate as is the very useful mobile app.

BigTime customer service is outstanding. Our software implementation consultant Brea provided very thorough training and made the implementation process easy for us.

Pros: Ease of use and custom-ability. Also the people we have talked to at the company are really responsive and helpful.

Cons: Quirks not working correctly.

Overall: We have had a great experience with the support and services at your company and we really enjoy the ease of use with your product. However, there are quirks that we find annoying when things don't work like they are supposed to and then causes a bunch of extra time to change. However, overall it is much better than the last product we used and we are glad we switched. I do love the custom-ability of the software.

Pros: The user interface is very intuitive and easy to learn

Cons: I cannot display a cumulative invoice total in the budget summary for invoicing (prior billings + current billings).

Overall: After reviewing four options for Time and Expense Tracking software we decided on BigTime for two reasons: Ease of Use and Invoice Templates. The Time and Expense entry for the engineers in our office was intuitive and easy to learn. The mobile app works very well and is used more than we anticipated.

From the administrative aspect the setup is relatively easy and the user interface is easy to follow and understand. I really like how the screens navigate from one to the other and how I can customize what I want to see on each screen. The clicking on the column headings to view the information in varies ways is great.

We create about 50 - 60 invoices each month where the format may vary depending on the client for each one. BigTime does a good job of providing a base of invoice templates with the flexibility customize. The one thing that is really missing from the invoicing option is the ability to display the Total Cumulative Amount Invoiced as of the current invoice (prior amount + current invoice amount). I have requested this change and hopefully it will be added.

The last aspect is customer support. Two training sessions were included in the software subscription. The first one was good for the very basic information, maybe a little too basic. The second session was much more informative that gave us some good practices to use with BigTime (Brea was very knowledgeable in both). The day to day support seems short handed. Most of the time you have to send an email and wait for a response which could take hours or the next day. As a new user that was a little frustrating. I don't necessarily need to talk to someone on the phone but a live chat would be great to get an answer and move on. That is the one area that I would recommend BigTime address.

Overall we are happy with our decision to go with BigTime and I would recommend BigTime to others.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try to staff the LiveChat for customer support. It would really help with quick questions.

Cons: Have not used it for very long so I am not sure if I have any yet.

Overall: Our rep has been working with me on the transition to Big Time and she has been very patient and understanding. She is very knowledgeable of the features and functionality of Big Time. She will explain a feature and will show me how it works and then we work to detail it to our company. I sent her different reports that I would like to use and she developed them for me and then we went over them the next time we had a secession. I really enjoy working with her she is an asset to your company.

Pros: Simple yet scalable if needed to add more functions later

Cons: Would be nice to be able to just put in minutes vs. decibels for time.

Overall: There are so many timekeeping programs out there. I investigated several different versions and many were just too complicated and cumbersome. We downloaded three different free trials and ended up coming back to Big Time. It was the simplest to use, had the best functionality for our needs, yet is expandable should our needs grow.
When I needed help initially using the program I spoke to both Michelle and Brea which were very helpful and within minutes had my official timekeeping software running smoothly. What more can I say? So far so great!

Comments: The support staff was very helpful, she explained and fixed all my questions and that took time. But BigTime IQ Pro may be easy for an employee to record time and a project manager to track projects but from an administrator view point, it's not easy. When an employee forgets to enter a variable it has to be tracked so it can post to QB. The reporting requires tutoring, you can't just plug in a few numbers, select a few variables and get your result. There are many little nuances to learn and it's very confusing. Like why do I have to 'Copy' a report every time I edit it - why can't I just Save it? The linking with QB isn't simple either. Sometimes a job posts, sometimes there's one little button clicked that shouldn't be. Then there's all the duplication of projects every time you post to QB. Figuring out the integration of the two systems is a slow process. Again, she was very helpful and eventually I'll learn the system but it will be a long slow process, just like the old program. No difference to me as the administrator.

Pros: Well thought out. Continuous sync capability with accounting software. Good customer support. Value.

Cons: Mobile apps are well advanced, but not all the features on the desktop interface are available as of yet.

Overall: Very usable. Nice integration with QuickBooks. Excellent customer support. Back end integration provided means to deposit expenses either into an AP account (for reimbursement of personal expenses), or to liability account (for expenses paid using company credit card).

Overall: Very fast and responsive cloud based solution. Interface is intuitive and also aesthetically pleasing. PRO Version allows a lot of flexibility and granularity on setup by admins, but retains a very simple process for time input by employees. Support has also been great, particularly the onboarding session I opted for as part of my contract. Also the sales staff is extremely knowledgeable....like tech support level knowledge....and can answer nearly any question you have accurately (and will also do a screen share to SHOW you how the functionality you are asking about works). Very happy with it so far.

Pros: That I finally found Customer support representative to help with the software! It's been an absolute nightmare with the transition. I like that at least some of the information from QuickBooks integrates with BigTime.

Cons: Getting help when we needed it. It's not very user friendly. There are a lot more steps to this process. More information needs to be able to integrate from QuickBooks to BigTime and vis a versa. For instance, previous balance in QuickBooks, contact information and also payments made through either QuickBooks or BigTime.

Overall: This initial training with Customer support representative was the first training that made a lot of sense! She was extremely helpful and listened to my questions. I'm excited for the next training seminar with her. I realized all lot of things that I wish we'd had from the beginning. It would have made the transition less stressful, etc. Several times most of us were ready to dump this software but she helped in restoring some confidence. Customer support has been lacking in getting back in a timely manner so I'm hopeful that will change. Customer support from her, initial training was a 10.

Recommendations to other buyers: More information needs to be able to integrate from QuickBooks to BigTime or vis a versa. The contact information in all the correct places and also payments made. Also be able to input previous balances from QuickBooks even though there might not be a current bill for a client yet in BigTime since we are billing out of BigTime. I'm having to spend a lot more time creating invoices from BigTime and then going into QuickBooks to add the previous balances due and print two separate invoices.

Pros: It has all the features we need - flat fee and hourly invoicing, multiple contacts for client companies, easy time entry for employees.

Cons: There is not a lot of flexibility in the invoice formatting.

Overall: I really like the customer support, when I can actually get someone to contact me in person. I HIGHLY recommend changing the name of LIVE Chat to Ask a question, since all input goes to email. Based on volume, it is difficult for new users to resolve questions quickly. Yes, the training calls help; however, we are moving fast to convert and don't want to do the call until we are ready with the right questions and training issues

Cons: It is very hard to get a hold of customer service. If you are in dire need of help, all you can do is leave a voicemail or send an email and wait for someone to contact you with help. Not very good for business who is in need of immediate assistance.

Overall: New customer of BigTime since January. After much research, it was clear they were the best match for our time tracking need as well as the ease of use with QuickBooks. We can now create personalized and professional looking Invoices for our clients, as well as easily track budgets for projects. It is unending the tasks BigTime can assist our company with, and I am looking forward to continuing to learn the many ways it can help our company be a great success.

Comments: BigTime is relatively easy to use and for end users to adopt. However, some of the administrative functions are a bit hidden and hard to notice but overall the value for the money is great. The mobile app is a work in progress, but once the app is more refine it will no doubt be useful tool for the end user.

Pros: Customizing reports - it's simple, yet there is a ton of data from which I can pull.

Cons: There seems to be lots of "quick fixes" in the software, like random buttons. I'm sure an overhaul is due soon...PLEASE prepare me for it. Don't just lay it on me. Allow me time to adjust - include me in the beta.

Overall: Big Time Software is inexpensive, easy to navigate, lots of customization, and a pleasure to work with. Josh and Brea were amazing - couldn't have asked for more. I waited far too long to make a switch to job costing software. I looked for months. When I cam across Big Time, I pulled the trigger, hoping it would turn out. I love it. We have access to key information that took WAY too long to compile previously.

Overall: We have been using Big Time software for a couple of years now. It is a great internal time keeping system which our employees can access from anywhere which is convenient. Cons: Project budgets cannot be created by staff within a project. For example the budget hours is one number which includes the staff and manager. The staff doesn't know how many hours they can spend on the project.

Overall: From the first session with a demo to the one-on-one trainings, BigTime is a great product. I've recently started using it and of course I'm uncovering features I was not aware of which is a bonus for me. The online training and the chat/email support are supportive and understanding. They are all sensitive to my needs and have responded quickly. I will do the on-line webinars soon and if I get in a hurry or forgot something I can listen to the pre-recorded webinars. All in All I'm glad I started using BigTime.

Pros: Simple interface with powerful tools available if you need to get into the details of your project budget management and financials. For months our employees and I tried and installed just about every product out there that was potential based on recommended reviews by others or friends. Either the product was too complicated from the get go or too simple and lacking. The more we tried to learn using the demo's, the more disappointed and frustrated i became.
BigTime had just what we where looking for and the more we we use it, the better WE are at managing our projects and budgets. I say WE because it allows our employees to self-manage there times against our budgets which in turn allow us to anticipate issues before they are problem$.

Cons: That i didn't discover it sooner.

Overall: The support staff was very good at focusing in on our needs and listening patiently as I explained our issues. She was able to provide past experiences with BigTime as an end user which was really useful. I like that she understood how we use our software against Fixed Fee Contracts to manage our budgets and invoicing, which really reassured our discussions on how best to use the software to meet our business needs.

Overall: I've had two training sessions with Brea, I have found them both very helpful. Doing the training sessions helped me realize everything you can do with BigTime instead of just the basic time entry. Pros: The ability to track your tie on the project basis.

Cons: The mobile app is not that user-friendly.

Cons: The software is not user intuitive. Everything takes a second and/or a call to support to figure it out such as the timing feature- it must have a note to be saved properly. We had to call tech support for that. There have been several small issues like that.

Overall: It was educational without being boring. Brea was personable and knowledgeable. We learned a lot of tricks to invoicing. Even though most of the features we learned were not a specific part of my job, I can support the boss when he uses them.

Overall: BigTime is a versatile tool for analyzing time and billing progress. I most appreciate the customizability of the layout: I can make adjustments as my needs evolve without needing an account manager. I've only encountered a few items that may be cumbersome:

1) Staff and project info must be entered individually. It would be much easier and more time efficient to have a bulk add option so all values can be cross referenced on a single screen.

2) When creating a time entry for an invoice, the employee name section is drop down only. Can this be a filter search like most other fields on the website?

Comments: It is an easy system to work with if your needs fit into the specific format provided. We do not have the standard setup found within many account firms & as a result are having to find workarounds to meet our specific needs. Communication between the sales department & the technical advisors did not seem to be very good as answers to many of our questions were not readily available. That being said, the systems offers great learning tools & we have had excellent response times when reaching out to customer service. Once we work through the learning curve, I think it will be a very useful tool.

Comments: BigTime is an excellent value and works very well with Quickbooks. We're an advertising agency that needed an easy way to track time and expenses against a variety of jobs then port that over to Quickbooks for billing. It's saved us many hours every month due to its ease of use and turnkey integration with Quickbooks. Perhaps the most valuable feature of BigTime is the customer support. From the very start, their rep Jacob Wilson, walked us through the system to get us moving. Training was simple and everytime we had a question he was there. The same goes for their customer support team now that we're using the system. Great job and thanks!

Cons: the tasks section seems like too much information for my firm. we don't use it and it's fine.

Overall: My company has been using BigTime for over a year now. We're a busy office of 25 architects and logging hours and expenses is one of the lesser enjoyable activities of the day. Before we were using Deltek and found their interface too exhausting and burdensome for the team to actually use the software or for me to learn how to use it.

My experience with BigTime has been great so far. The interface is intuitive and has allowed for more accurate data from the team and more efficient administrative processing on my end.

There is the occasional glitch: sometimes I can't export to a spreadsheet but I can export to a word document, sometimes approving expenses doesn't work and I can't figure out why and the mobile app won't upload expenses for only some of the staff, etc. But these aren't the end of the world and response from customer support is always timely, friendly and efficiently solves the problem.

We don't currently use it to its full capabilities, but we hope to soon. In the future, it would be great if BigTime were able to sync with an HR and/or payroll app.

Cons: The only cons I come up with are that some of the fields don't allow enough characters. We have a complicated billing process and to get separate engagements that are often very similar, more characters would be helpful.

Overall: We have slowly started to discover all of the wonderful features of Big Time. It is super easy for new employees to learn how to use. It has a chat online feature and that is so nice! No more stumbling through an instruction manual and wasting precious time. I was a previous user of Timeslips software but Bigtime really is super nice! It has great features and for us - is fantastic!

Cons: It would be nice if the Reports section was more flexible and easier to write ad-hoc reports. At this time, I can get what I need by downloading full data and summarizing as I need to in Excel.

Overall: Because of the type of business we represent, we have a variety of working methods and billing methods. With the help of the Support Staff, I've been able to find work arounds for any billing methods not currently covered by the software.

Recommendations to other buyers: I do have a couple of users that have had problems with Clients/Tasks disappearing from their timesheets. But I also believe they often leave their BigTime up and running all the time. When I have them close down and re-open it's like the program has a chance to re-set and that helps.

Comments: BigTime has saved me time because I don't have to enter data twice. It automatically syncs with QuickBooks and imports the data, unlike our previous system which had to be entered into the system exactly the same as QuickBooks or it wouldn't sync. Transferring time at the end of each week is done with a single button and doesn't require the extra steps I previously had to make. The one change we would like to see if having the choice of having the timer window on top at all times so employees remember to switch projects. Comments: Looking for a better way to track time in QuickBooks and provide means for employees to enter time online from anywhere. Big Time fit the bill perfectly. Setup and integration easy, time tracking and reporting is easy. Customer Service has been great for making sure we are running smoothly. Their sync product to Quickbooks is superior to what Intuit had and has been working very well. Very effective and economical product. Employees use with ease.

We have been using Bigtime for the past 2 years and feel very excited by the upgrade to IQ!

Comments: We've been using Bigtime Pro for almost 2 years now. We are a small company with a lot of projects so it's very helpful to be able to make reports for each project in the time periods we want it. I use the timesheet reports on our invoices that we send to clients - it keeps our invoices looking clean and they're easy to read. Also, love the feature that the report can export into excel so I can make it look how I want if I want to change it. I started using the expenses feature back at the beginning but found i didn't like it so much, or I just didn't get used to it - I stopped trying. Will probably be a feature I look into again when I have time. All in all, bigtime is great for our company and we'll continue to use it as long as we can. (Also, bigtime support is great!!)

Canadian EPCM using BigTime for timesheets and invoices - good product, doesn't handle GST/PST combo

Comments: BigTime allowed Keywest, a Canadian EPCM, to transition from timesheets in Excel and a cumbersome Excel Macro based billing process to an automated system. It saved us time and allowed us to better manage projects with more timely data. It made invoicing much more efficient and allowed us to cope with rapid growth and provide more info, especially billing amounts to the project managers.

As the company grew, we started having trouble with reports timing out (costing reports, invoice generation). BigTime worked with us to solve this issue although it continued to occur from time to time as the data we entered into it continued to grow.

The downside to BigTime is that I am unable to invoice using two levels of tax (GST and Provincial Sales Tax) at the same time. At this time, BigTime does not handle this. Once we needed to charge GST and provincial sales tax; it was also difficult to explain this to the Technical Support people. Their reply was "we don't do that" once I was able to explain the issue to them. That being said, if a business will not need 2 levels of tax at the same time, it is a good product for smaller businesses.

Comments: Pros: easy to synch with desktop QB Pro customer file, track hours by projects either using desktop pc via web or mobile device, posting hours back to QB was smooth that made getting QB invoices out to clients a snap, BigTime reports are flexible and really matched the needs and their customer service rep. helped from the point of sign-up with helpful screenshots specific to the monthly business cycle. Very pleased with this app and the support team behind it!

Cons: can't think of any.
