Pros: User friendliness

Cons: Not being able to change the auto sign in to specific days. Right now I can choose Mon, tues, and Friday from 10 - 5 pm , however I can not place a 12- 5 on Wed and Thurs.

Overall: We have made many sales using this system. It is easy to use and there are many settings to better assist you getting that sale

Pros: Easy to use

Pros: The ability to review other peoples chats without the customer knowing, for training purposes.

Cons: Pop alerts for a new incoming message should be more noticeable.

Overall: Working in a contact centre, I find It's more convenient then speaking to clients over the phone simply because you can take a few chats at a time.

Comments: I use this technology mainly as a way for customers to chat with me about jobs submitted, and to ask general questions. So far, it has worked flawlessly, and having alerts on my desktop is a very helpful feature. I have not used customer support, so I cannot honestly review it, but I'm sure that it is satisfactory. It fits my needs and the needs of my company well.

Pros: Detailed information about visitors on our webpage

Cons: The fact that chats can not open in popup screens so people can navigate our website freely without disconnecting from the chat.

Overall: Purechat is a very decent chat engine that allows you to view a lot of information on the visitors on your webpage besides just the chat applet. This helps us to get the most out out the sales channels. The only major downside is that the applet can not be opened in a popup. This means that every time a customer changes pages we lose the chat, this is a big problem.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you see someone on your page looking at your product, open a chat and ask if they need help. Proactive sales are the way to go here.

Comments: Live chat is great to have on your site these days. We specifically looked into PureChat because of their Infusionsoft CRM integration. We've been using it for ~1 year and have had great success. There are a few things that need improving, like the chat box styles and backend chat viewing before answering, but they are releasing updates every so often so looks to be moving in the right direction.

Pros: I like the idea that this software has to offer. Available to chat through the website because not everyone likes talking on the phone or just has a quick question.

Cons: EVERYTHING.... This software doesn't work. Looking at a different provider because of this software's inability to do what it says it's going to do.

Overall: I am away from my desk a lot, so I use the app so that I am still available to chat with on my website. This app does NOT work. Every time I open it it says it's reconnecting or it kicks me off. The other day I went to open a different app and pure chat kept popping up and kept saying that it was trying to reconnect to the server. So I started using my desktop more often because I am so frustrated with the app and it keeps doing the same thing! Keeps saying that it is trying to reconnect. I've had my internet provider come out and do tests, so that is no the issue. Everything else I have works perfectly fine except this. I am looking at different options because this just doesn't work out for our company.

Pros: This provides students with another avenue for asking questions. We see a lot of activity after hours. This provides us with additional information to return the students inquiry.

Cons: If I forget to log out of the chat it doesn't log me out after so much time of inactivity.
Please see previous comment about students leaving the chat before we can answer the question.

Overall: We use pure chat as a means for prospective students to contact us with questions. We love the product and hope that more offices will utilize the same system. The only problem we'd like to see fixed is that students leave the chat before we can answer a question. We believe many students move to another page before we have time to type a response. Could that be fixed, that once a student is on the chat they may continue to chat with us if they change pages?

Thanks for the great review Marylyn! Yes, there is a way to fix that. Just go to your chat box editor (Account > Websites > Customize), click on the "Chat Open" tab, then scroll to the bottom and check the "Popout Automatically" box. That should solve your problem!

Cons: Unreliable software/doesn't always function the way I'd like it to.

Overall: We love the ability to chat with our customers and the ease of use setting this up and getting rolling has been phenomenal. We also fee like it's very affordable. What we have NOT been as thrilled with is the way the system functions. At times, i will get an email for a missed chat - other times i won't. It will kick off other administrators without notice. It will ignore our time settings randomly. We like the option to Live Chat - we just aren't 100 percent thrilled with how it functions.....could possibly be an issue on our end....but have not gotten much response from customer service.

Overall: Among the many chat software we evaluated purechat is one of the simplest to implemente and use, overall it's good value for the money.

Recommendations to other buyers: Wish was possible to quickly jump from one chat to another, having a screen with multiple chats and being able to quickly jump from one to another. To manage many chats at once with a single agent. Canned response management should be improved. And I think everyone would need a way of tracking chats in google analytics, to A/B test conversion rate versus open chat... Chat lenght... Etc...

Pros: Ease of use and easy integration.

Cons: Only the super admin can add users.

Overall: Our Customer Care Team uses this to answer questions for all 3 of our websites. We can monitor how many people are currently on the sites and start a chat with them to see if there is anything we can assist them with to close them as a customer. PureChat has made our business that much better!

Comments: PureChat has been helpful in improving communications between the different sectors of our business. It's given the users an easier and more organized way to reach us. My only complaint is that they can leave feedback only in positive and negative and some people have mentioned accidentally selected the wrong option. Possibly make it so that doesn't happen so easily.

Pros: Increases my commissions by allowing me access to more sales opportunities

Cons: Sometimes I don't have enough time to answer all of the chat requests.

Overall: I use Purechat as an employee at my company. I take a lot of calls throughout the day and this has enabled me to reach the customers who visit our site but would rather use some other form of reaching out to us.

Pros: Easy to use, great features to motivate conversions.

Cons: Can't easily integrate into a CRM were I can do follow up on leads, unless I do it manually.

Overall: Pure Chat has been great to improve our customer satisfaction and closeness, it helps us event to understand were our customers are having trouble in our platform. We love the feature that allows us to be proactive in the chat, it helps conversions at the checkout page!

Pros: The information provided about each customer and it is so user friendly.

Overall: I use "Pure Chat" daily at work. We are an online College and are inundated with chats all day long and all of us find that it is very easy to use and makes our busy days much more enjoyable. Pros: I like the accessibility to the client on our site
Being able to see incoming traffic on the website makes it easier to track where people spend most of their time
knowing how our team is being rated, and how much time is being spent on chats helps us improve our customer service experience

Cons: I do not like that it times out an individual and turns off their online status without notification, this makes it hard to keep CSRs who have retail duties on chat during high traffic hours on our site. A notice should be prompted on screen to remind them that they have been logged off

Overall: It's super easy to use. Our customers show their appreciation to our prompt response time, and their ratings (whether good or bad) help us improve our customer service experience. Pure Chat is a great tool that helps us connect with our clients.

Comments: For the most part, PureChat has been a great tool for our live chat support offerings. We have had some unexplained and/or unannounced downtime. It would typically clear itself up, but we never got any kind of notification or explanation from the staff. Accessing any kind of live support from the company itself has proven to be difficult, which I find pretty ironic. Overall happy with it but would like to see more features added.

Pros: The notification features that are available so that you never miss a new chat with a customer.

Cons: When your browser refreshes or updates, Pure Chat may show you as 'unavailable' to chat once the window refreshes, so you have to keep an eye out for that and ensure that you are still listed as available.

Overall: Using Pure Chat as a means of communication between the company I work for and our customers provides another, excellent, avenue of communication which offers those who wish not to reach out via the phone the ability to receive support and answers to any questions they may have.

Recommendations to other buyers: Remember the monitor feature, which allows you to monitor fellow employee's chats without actually being involved in the chat itself.

Pros: The admin interface is simple, clear and easy to navigate. Very easy to understand and make quick changes to the chat tab and window. We love that the tab switches to 'Email Us' form when all of the operators are offline. The price is right.

Cons: Would like to see some improvements on the reporting i.e. a way to bulk export chat transcripts to csv or excel format, or filter transcripts by a custom date range.

Overall: We switched to Pure Chat in May 2016 and have been thrilled with the results. Our operators have found it easy to use for the most part - and new features we requested have been responded to by the support team. Our admins find the reporting section helpful without being overly busy and confusing. The pricing has allowed us to add operators to the plan without blowing up the budget. Overall great software that has given us a way to connect with our current customers and new visitors alike.

Overall: PureChat is an easy service to use for our customers to connect with us. We are able to quickly respond to their questions, especially with canned responses.
On the phone software, the software needs to be changed for Android users. The chat box will pop up over the website. Several customers hit the chat button and all they want to do is check out, and "this chat box keeps coming up." Might be something to look at. Seems to be fine for iPhone users.

Comments: I have been using the chat software since it was in Beta. I have loved every minute of it, and probably have close to 50 chats per day on it. I could not do my job as easy without Purechat! Thanks for Great Software!

Pros: Ease of use, available features.

Cons: Limit of locations. Currently, only five separate locations are available. We are expanding rapidly and would like to have each location manage their own inbound chats. Hopefully support for even MORE locations will come soon!

Overall: Pure Chat consistently delivers a quality product which solves all of our customer service needs. The customer service is impeccable and they are constantly adding new features and upgrading existing ones. Highly, highly recommended.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you need live chat software, there isn't a better option available!

Pros: easy to use - I do not need to be an IT expert to use the service

Cons: Canned Responses do not work as expected

Overall: We enjoy using PureChat. It is a real time cost effective way to service our customers. The only drawback we've found is that the Canned Answer feature doesn't work as we would like.

Pros: Web and Mobile work well together
Ability to Schedule Users Availability

Cons: When I am chatting many times I will get the push on my cell phone as well when I am active in the chat already online.

Overall: PureChat is easy to use and helps you identify where your visitors are realtime on your site and where they are chatting from geographically. The mobile app with push works very well!

Pros: So easy to use and navigate.

Cons: Setup took a bit longer than hoped but once we got connected its been great!

Overall: Pure chat is great! very user friendly and easy to navigate. I rarely have any hiccups when using the software. My clients love it and I love it too! Notifications are awesome. And I love that I can go back and review transcripts. I can see when a client logged in and if they were given the correct information! Love love love this! So helpful

Pros: Extremely easy to use!

Cons: Sometimes on mobile devices, the application can get in the way if a candidate is trying to apply. We just have to walk them through how to minimize the chat screen.

Overall: We have thoroughly enjoyed using Pure Chat at our Corporate office. My marketing team is currently using it as a frontline exchange for candidates and clients alike. It has been amazing to see the level of engagement!

Overall: Some customers hesitate to open support tickets, but having an alternative support channel (PureChat) is a great way for them to contact us for any questions. Some customers prefer talking to someone immediately and PureChat is a great tool for that!
