Pros: The ability to rapidly deploy solutions that are useable on any platform, even my phone. Integration with Zapier, the ability to embed forms on websites, cross linking between databases, etc. The free platform is great . I've been deploying solutions for my clients left and right. They have an excellent rewards structure for referring clients.

Cons: I would like the ability to have more granular control over the experience. I'd like the ability to resell the solutions I create. I wish they had a more Filemaker like graphical interface design element. Inline code execution would also be great.

Overall: I built a custom solution for tracking content ideas in less than hour.

Simplified database solution for the non-tech savvy yet powerful enough for database ninjas.

Pros: Setting up your first base is a breeze. There are multiple templates to help your team get up and going within minutes. The robust integration with Zapier opens up endless connections between other apps and services. The Airtable team is constantly building new features based on its users feedback.

Cons: I sometimes feel limited in how I can share or view my organizations data without having to export it to another application. However, I know the Airtable team is hard at work developing native solutions to address those shortfalls.

This is an excellent product! I look forward to seeing it continue to grow!

Pros: Mobile application....the ability to use it on my phone and ipad is really fantastic for our application.

Cons: Not all the features that are on the desktop work on the mobile app. This is a problem for us, since it just doesn't allow us to do as much as we could.

Overall: it has allowed us to get rid of paper!!

Airtable is very easy to use and offers a pretty sophisticated alternative to general spreadsheets.

Pros: This software is basically free and extremely easy to use and set up. It's also so simple to share data tables through links to the table or downloadable .csv's. You can add new people to collaborate in many ways, and it is completely accessible online (desktop or phone/tablet). It's so easy to create multiple select choices, add documents and photos, rearrange tabs, create surveys that populate the spreadsheet. It's just very useful.

Cons: The two features I don't like is the lack of .pdf creation for the tables so that they appear just like they do online. I want my photos to be there just as they look in the individual views. The second is the new charge they added just to have photos or headings in your survey. It's very expensive the fee price and yet a much needed addition. I can't have a survey in each base with photos without upgrading each base to get that privilege.

Overall: In the cloud access that everyone on my team can use.

So excited!

Pros: The ease of use and intuitive nature - A relational database that people with lots of different levels of understanding can use. I can set up forms for novice users and then manipulate the data in ways that are meaningful in reporting. We can track many different elements of our organization from project management to resource deployment.

Cons: It is not fully compatible with screen readers in all browsers. One of our team members is blind and we are hopeful that she doesn't have accessibility issues with this platform.

Overall: organization and (project/people) management and it's integration with Slack

Pros: I love the accessibility on all platforms, how easy it is to add, label and modify fields and calculations, how incredibly versatile the whole tool is.

Cons: Sometimes when internet connection is lost or the Airtable window is idle the system needs to refresh and at that point it is difficult to know exactly which of your last actions were saved or not. Just a minor remark.

Overall: Finally we are able to easily manage all the aspects of handling 100 free lance artists working under one roof - incredible!

Pros: I love everything about Airtable - the UI, how flexible and customizable it is, the templates, the case studies, and how easy it is to build links across records. It's easy to get going with Airtable if you're familiar with Excel but it's so much more powerful! I use it for everything ¿ from project management, to donation tracking, to landscape mapping, to managing my interactions with partners. It's amazing and has made my life so much easier.

Cons: I wanted to make it a bit easier to use my data to produce reports. However, Airtable is beta testing its block functionality which makes it easy to build dashboards and graphs!

Overall: Best way to organize everything!!! Project management, donors, meeting attendance, partnership profiles, etc.

Pros: Very easy to use and figure out if you've used Excel, Google or other database products. Linking fields are pretty idiot proof and allow you to segment your data in different tables. Field types cover a variety of data sources. You don't have to be a programmer to figure this out. For those of us who don't work on networked machines, this allows us to collaborate over the Internet but still download and save versions of the base periodically. Also, for those of us who need quick access to the information without having to open the computer, open the program and perform a complicated find, the iPhone app is useful.

Cons: Wish there was a way to view all of the data for one record in one screen without having to scroll all the way through a form.

I've used Airtable for a few years now and have not once been let down by an interruption of service

Pros: Super easy to filter data, build views, collect data, publish data, import/export, you name it, Airtable does it! The price is just right too!

Cons: Airtable has so many templates, its tough to choose which one is the best starting point for a new project.

Overall: Easy to create customized databases on the fly.

Pros: I like that you can upload files, and link tables too each other so it's easy to have all my information in one place. I also like that it automatically saves, so I don't need to worry about losing information. I like that you can colour code things as well, so you can see at a glance where you're at. I also like that you can choose different functions for different columns. The program is very user-friendly and SO much better than Excel.

Cons: Sometimes when linking tables it creates weird data at the end of the sheet. For instance, I have a bunch of random suburbs at the bottom of one of my tables, but I'm scared to delete them in case I lose data. It's not a huge deal, but I do have to delete them if I want to export the data and use it elsewhere. Customer support can also be a bit slow, I think because they are based out of the
US.

Overall: Better clarity and efficiency in my work.

Pros: Simple and intuitive to use. I had the basic design for my CRM completed in minutes. Linking tables and adding fields as my needs evolved was also a breeze. I was able to simplify a lot of my work processes into simple data entry with the help of Airtable. The help documentation is useful for brainstorming new ways of organizing my data.

Cons: Some formatting, such as changing how a date is displayed, requires specific knowledge of formulas. I feel like there could be an easier way for this to be built in as an option.

Overall: There¿s so many integrations I am not even using yet, but I can see so many possibilities for automation down the line! Airtable is also highly affordable for my small non-profit organization.

Overall: This saves me a lot of time in my work week, and saves me from a lot of organizational headaches.

Pros: I run a nonprofit law firm and Airtable has made us exponentially more productive.

We have a base for fundraising where we input donors, and then input their donations as they occur. Airtable tracks donations by date, and also by donor, which makes sending end of year donation letters a breeze.

We also have a base for our client list that we can use to check for conflicts. Where we used to have to manually input client information into a spreadsheet, we now have them fill out a form that sends everything to the client base. This has cut down on time spend doing administrative tasks drastically, and also eliminated our need for many paper forms. Customizing the form feature is a paid service, and one that we didn't think twice about upgrading for. As a nonprofit (and one that lives on a tight budget), I think this is saying a lot. But the monthly fee is well worth it.

Not only is Airtable easy to use, but it's also visually appealing.

Cons: I have only tweaked templates. Making my own bases from scratch ¿ even as a fairly tech-smart person ¿ has been a bit difficult. Luckily they have great templates, so I've been able to get everything I need. I'm sure if I spent a bit more time on it, it would come together, but there hasn't been a need for that.

It has helped streamline our communications and information sharing significantly.

Pros: Forms pulling information into spreadsheets is amazing. The ease of use allows us to streamline repetitive functions and information sharing. Linking info is hugely helpful as well!

Cons: I wish the linking of information was easier to access from other sheets. Makes people assigning hard for them to easily see their assignments.

Overall: This has eliminated the multiple google sheets we have. It has made gathering outside content so simple!

Pros: Clean, lightweight, works great in browser and as a standalone app. Perfect amount of features. Has everything that's needed and no bloat.

We've been using Airtable to keep a database of all our students, student applications their parents. The difference in productivity after moving from excel/google tables has been immeasurable.

Cons: When you add a field in a specific place in one view it becomes the rightmost field in every other view.

Overall: It greatly streamlined our workflow in managing student and parent databases.

Pros: We've migrated several of our Operations Office processes to Airtable and couldn't be happier. Not only is Airtable easy to use, it's easy to integrate. It might not do everything we need, but by linking tools, like Zapier, it's so simple to manipulate data and let the data trigger actions in the other software that we use every day.

For example, we've built a base to track key distribution for our 210,000 sq. ft. facility. We have a table with records for each of the 858 unique keys in our inventory, which links to a table where we track all of the keys issued to individuals. With filtered views, it's easy to see who has past due keys or which rooms are at the greatest security risk. And because it's all web-based, we don't have to worry about who checks in a key because everyone's base is updated in real time.

As a relational database, Airtable lets you establish connections between two complex tables. We can click on a person to see all of the keys they've been issued, or we can click on a key to see all of the people who have it.

Not only are our processes more efficient, they're actually more productive. Working from a standard spreadsheet, the type of reporting we're doing now would not be feasible. With Airtable, getting the answer is almost as easy as asking the question, and with the mobile app, I can ask the question wherever I am in the building--or outside of it.

Cons: Airtable has a great feature set as a relational database, particularly for the price and ease of use, but there are some limitations--not enough to cost a star in any one category though. The nine bases we've built so far were all things that we migrated from a spreadsheet system. From that perspective, Airtable is missing the ability to use conditional formatting and it's a little lean on available functions in the formula field. So far I've managed to find workarounds for almost everything, but they're not always the most elegant. Despite these limitations, we recently upgraded to an annual paid plan after six months on the free plan.

Overall: Airtable saves us time, but it also saves us money. We're able to better manage resources when we can see how everything connects. That's what Airtable is great at. We had the data, but we were missing the lenses to put it in perspective. Having a column of dates in a spreadsheet is useful; being able to see those entries distributed on a calendar with a single click is a game-changer.

Pros: Ease of use. I was up and running in less than an hour. Staff that view the data in Airtable are duly impressed that I can easily create custom views for various groups to see only what they need. Linking tables quite simple and so useful! Sorting and filtering are amazing and could teach Excel a thing or two.

Rich Feature Set. I prefer databases to spreadsheets, and tend to complicate things. Airtable offers the best of both worlds.

Mobile app. I sat in a meeting and was asked a question about the data. I pulled out my smartphone and was able to answer questions immediately. (Translation: Airtable made me look good!)

Cons: Reporting: I would like to be able to add headers and footers to tables before printing, but truthfully, we don't do a lot of formal reports just printouts to check of against physical documents then toss them.

The reporting included is ease to use.

Overall: Easily managed and sharable database. Great visual tool.

Pros: Airtable flattens the learning curve of a relational database by leveraging the familiar 'Excel-type' spreadsheet interface. Having fields that allow you to link file attachments to each record is a real plus!

Cons: If I had to change anything, I'd like more granular controls for users and the ability to approve/decline record changes made by others. This can be mitigated by utilizing the auto-generated APIs, though.

Pros: It starts off free and you get a lot for that! I have a small but quite complicated business so being able to set up tables that are straightforward, easy to use and that deliver 90% of what I need is terrific. The views are well thought out, setting up formulas is easy and in the main it has been well thought out.

Although I work mostly on my own, I can see how the team functionality would be really useful if I needed it.

Cons: This software feels very much as though it is a victim of its own success. There are several key features, like linking bases, offline access and dynamic sorting that really need attention but with the addition of its integration with Zapier you can probably get it to do an awful lot of what you do.

Overall: I was able to organise and manage multiple aspects of my business without having to resort to clunky yet restrictive software solutions or multiple spreadsheets. The tables work well.

Pros: Ease of access and use. Real-time updating. Great way for a large team to collaborate on a project and have instant access to the same information. We use it for tracking case details and even budgeting items.

Cons: If more than one user is active in the program at a time- changes being made by one can negatively impact the work of the other. Have to pay careful attention to working in the program when others are working as well.

Overall: Great way to collaborate with a big team on projects. Can track details, deadlines and even budget items. Very versatile and worth the money!

Pros: The UI, the templates, the field types. This product has filled a void in my day-to-day work. Especially as the co-founder for an early stage startup, my partner and I often need to spin up documents that do more than what a note-taking software can do. I also really love the mobile experience. You'd think something so powerful wouldn't be easily accessible from a smartphone, but the Airtable team has figured it out!

Cons: There isn't a whole lot to dislike about the product. If I had to find something to complain about, it would be to have even more templates, but to be honest, they've thought about a lot of use cases and it really makes it easy to use their product.

Pros: Flexibility. Airtable is essentially a database that can be tailored and modified any way you like. In past roles I've used JIRA, Trello, Asana for agile project management, but there's invariably some workflow restriction of each of these apps. Airtable is most flexible project management tool I've ever used.

Cons: iOS app is a bit laggy. Also wish that boolean fields could be swiped on the main view, instead of having to open each record. Also, there's no python library for interacting with the API.

Pros: - Elegant UI design
- Intuitive UX (user experience) design
- Flexible and adaptable to nearly any workflow
- Collaboration with team members
- It's free

Cons: - The collaboration is great but could be improved with chat/conversations that operate more like Google Docs comments

Overall: Airable can be hard to wrap your head around at first. Is it spreadsheet software? Project management software? A visual relational database tool? An Evernote or Trello replacement?

Yes. To all of that. Sort of.

Visually, Airtable resembles spreadsheet software, with columns and rows of sortable data. But you can't crunch numbers or produce quarterly earnings statements with Airtable. Airtable is a database management tool, so you can use it to manage anything you would put in a database. But because of the visually-oriented approach Airtable takes, that means go way beyond organizing contacts or saving recipes.

I currently use Airtable to:

- manage a year long project with multiple sub-projects and team members who collaborate via Airtable
- keep track of home projects, including reference imagery and shopping lists for each project
- organize donors to my non-profit project, including reminders of when I should get in touch with people and how they contributed to the project
- catalogue home design and architectural inspiration

Like Trello and Evernote, the possibilities of Airtable expand the more you use it. It's elegantly designed, ruggedly engineered and fun to use.

So many times, I looked at a spreadsheet and wondered "is this the best way to organize this information? what if I want other people to only choose from three options to avoid misspellings and mistakes?" Never again! Airtable is the "spreadsheet" I never knew I wanted until I found it. The layout is pleasing, the functions are simple yet complex, and I haven't run out of space yet! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to do more with their spreadsheets without the hassle of googling excel functions every other minute.

Pros: Great 1-1 Support Options + Use Cases on Blog
Really Active and Helpful forum and 3rd party developers
Database for dummies type help text
Strong suite of options and continual development

Cons: No Print or View Mode that allows formatting of entries on a PDF or web interface
No granular permissions control
Can't write math formulas in cells directly, need to have multiple columns and then sum/multiply them.

Overall: Like many new internet SaaS apps, Airtable is intensely focused on delivering a clean and focused user experience. This means that features take a while to get rolled out and it is not even on par with google sheets or other spreadsheets like smartsheets. However, it is a database and it does some pretty cool things. It's also free for most users who don't need a lot of storage space on the system and have databases with fewer than 1200 records each.

For us, it's great for staying organized and has pushed us to keep better track of events and the costs associated with each of them. The form functionality is great for getting staff input in the field.

We look forward to seeing what they will add next!

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't be shy about getting on the forums and asking for help. Developers are also interested in helping you with your unique use case/will point to others who have done the same.

Comments: Airtable is a first of a kind database management tool that is simple enough for anyone to pick up and start using right away and yet powerful enough to provide useful solutions to small businesses.

The user interface alone is reason enough to try out Airtable. Playing around with the options and creating custom apps for myself has been a breez. Navigation is intuitive and consistent.

Everything about this tool is extremely polished ¿especially for a newer application! Clearly, the developers did not rush this product to the market and they care a great deal about the end user experiance!

Airtable is off to a great start, but I t will be very interesting to see how well they are accepted by everyone still struggling their way through spread sheets...

*Also their customer service is first rate. I've asked a few questions (via their great in app messaging service) and every time I recieved a reply from a representative within minutes!
