Pros: Flexible, scalable, good amount of personalization, reports are automatically generated and displayed very clearly, the support team is friendly and attentive, support site is quite comprehensive. The support staff is just incredible that has been incredibly helpful in onboarding this product.

Cons: the support team is located in New Zeland, so the hours can be a little tricky from the East Coast, Also some functionality of the software can be limiting at times and requires personalized support to setup or overcome.

Pros: Customization of reports is Phenomenal. Excellent Friendly Customer Service, Easy to use and Online.

Cons: Sometimes can be glitchy, some features complex to understand, slow, inability to sort data when importing

Pros: All products are traceable in cin 7 and CIN 7 integrates perfectly with Xero. Very east to use.

Cons: Limitations for users to customize the forms. can not do a product report or list with all serial no. counting.

Overall: I can trace every single transaction in the system with serial no of the item sold. perfectly integrated with accounting software as well.

Pros: I did not like anything about this software because the failed to provide a way to actually use it.

Cons: Terrible customer service and lack of on boarding resources. They only provided on boarding services during New Zealand time zones initially. We requested a freeze on our account which they agreed to provide but continued to bill us and despite multiple promises for a refund they failed to do so.

We have been using CIN7 for almost two years and I still highly recommend it.

Pros: We have been using CIN7 for almost two years and I still highly recommend it. Not only has it been instrumental in managing the various aspects of our business effectively, but it is also very easy to use and for new staff to learn. Technical support is excellent - very reliable and always willing to assist us in creating solutions to meet our needs as the business has grown.

Cons: Many of our sales are made-to-order, so it would be very useful if our production team were able to highlight and flag orders, and to have pop-up reminders.

Pros: When entering sales orders product inventory information is available when product is entered to order.

Cons: The delivery address space has to be deleted and changed for drop ship customers as
opposed to having it blank from the onset and cannot store multiple delivery addresses
for an account.

Pros: I was a bit intimidated by Cin7 at first since I'm not very proficient with software programs in general. But after an initial brief training session, Cin7 was not nearly as intimidating as I expected. It streamlines a lot of information that previously was very difficult (if not impossible) to access and opens up new possibilities for our company which broaden our scope and increase our efficiency. Having worked with an older system way past its prime, I wasn't aware of the enormous potential offered by a program like Cin7. Maybe there are others like it out there but for now we're thrilled to have chosen Cin7. It meets our needs (and more!) and we look forward to pursuing the many new opportunities it has opened up for us. Thank you Cin7!!

Cons: I haven't used Cin7 long enough to have experienced any problems with the program. I understand we need to customize some areas but that's to be expected with any new program.

Pros: Current reports are very helpful. It provides stock accuracy, margins. backorders, adjustments, etc. It is easy to search the data that you need. This program eliminates some of the tedious task in checking inventory. I am still learning the program and it's easy to navigate.

Cons: The program is slow at times. Customization is limited. I think it's still early for me to pinpoint the other cons since I just started using it.

Overall: Great cloud management tool, we can manage our stock efficiently!

Pros: this ERP system is so user friendly and I like it since it is web base and integrated, Its connection to differenet cloud services the same as Amazon, E-bay and big commerce is useful.

Cons: access limitation which makes the user listings so crowded and also I need to customize my account more which is not available for the user to customize it's End

Pros: Ease of use, great support and customization options. It's flexible enough that we can have everyone in the company collaborating on projects, all within one platform.

Cons: Can be a bit slow at times, but this isn't really a problem. By "slow" I only mean that you have to wait an extra second or two sometimes.

Pros: Even with all the features available it is quite intuitive to use. Staff were up and running on day 1 with sales and purchase orders. As I was involved in the setup side bringing in existing contact and product lists was relatively simple with good mapping features with a unique bulk update method using cut and paste from Excel to fine tune the categories, etc. It covers all the requirements of inventory and we could customize the fulfillment stages to suit the business - in this case primarily online sales. You can viewing an order at each stage which is a major benefit, especially where non-stock products need to be ordered. In this case, there is a smart buyer feature which auto populates purchase orders based on sales requirements. There are many other features I can't comment on as it's early days yet.

Cons: Not much. Small things like drop-down options instead of free format sub group options would be useful for reporting purposes.

Overall: Vastly improved our ability to track inventory and improve purchasing strategy, sped up and reduced the numbers of errors in the order fulfillment process.

Pros: For us this software will transform how we do business and give us the ability to grow. We like the link to our magento website and the connection we can have with our shipping and we find it easy to use.

Cons: Could be laid out better, but is easy enough to get use to. The templates are not easily changed or can not be changed without cost.

Overall: We have only started to sue it but I see it saving alot of time and wil probably save us a labour unit during a busy periods.

An exciting journey into cloud inventory ERP that is within reach of SMEs for price and ease of use.

Pros: As a cloud integrator/implementor of inventory solutions, I have found that Cin7 offers the most features in the market place and exceptional value for money. It caters for wholesale distribution/multi location/consignment both from customer and suppliers and multiple sales channels including EDI, Amazon and Ecommerce. For an inventory business that is growing and focussed on making the most of every sales channel - this product is a MUST. In addition, support is second to none, the quality of the online materials is excellent including step by step videos, premium support conducts weekly troubleshooting where customers can ask anything about the product and get targeted assistance. This software vendor is in for the long haul and is committed to the best customer experience. I am delighted to have Cin7 as one of my partners and can't speak highly enough about their sales and support teams.

Overall: A full featured inventory management solution that I can offer to my SME clients in wholesale distribution and retail.

Pros: Easy for data entry
Templates are well presented: our customers really appreciate the invoices we send out with clear images and information.
Friendly and helpful support staff

Cons: The sync with other systems like Xero or WooCommerce are not very good. A lot of data still need double entry on both CIN7 and other systems.

Pros: - The costings on import orders is great.
- It has a good search function although it is slow to work!
- Like the bulk update function.
- Also like the dispatch section - bulk updating dispatched items, and bulk emailing.
- 3PL Function

Cons: The software doesn't do Quantity Price Breaks as promised.

Customization is limited - as soon as you need one small thing customized you lose control of all customization. (i.e. templates) It then takes forever to get it done, going around in circles explaining what you want.

What works on POS may not work in the back end or B2B, functions differ between the platforms, can make it very confusing and frustrating.

Not very user-friendly: Takes forever to enter data, layout is clumsy, stalls and blanks out regularly, needs more links between information.

Pros: Cin7 Support is second to none which made implementation and integration a breeze. Moving away from an all in one ERP system Cin7 was an easy choice that ticked all the boxes for E-Commerce, POS, 3PL and integration with Xero.

Cons: The only minor issue was a CSV upload imported some codes as scientific data/date format. Mathew Cho from Cin7 support fixed this and was a pleasure to deal with.

Overall: Built in apps which are ever expanding made integration easy.
3PL and Xero apps were what made us choose this software.

Really good system overall, reporting is pretty good . Little slow on customer service

Pros: Cin7 is used daily at our company. The cloud based ERP system is very effective in tracking our inventory through all stages of the production cycle using a simple to use Build of Materials option. The system is able to break down raw materials into base components and then build them back again into sales orders, effectively tracking each component we sell and not just a final product, saving us a great deal of time and effort in tracking down operational costs. Great Experience with Integration. Our company uses software like Quick Books and cloud based platforms such as Shopify. Both integrate seamlessly with Cin7.

Cons: While configuration is pervasive throughout the application, customization options are limited and rarely extend beyond the original design constructs.

Pros: I know the Cin7 for a couple of years. I can see guys are growing very fast and the management quite delays to the growing of the company. The company spending a lot of time to advertise the Cin7. In my opinion, the company does not spend enough time to develop the Cin7 and work with customers especially to make customization for them. The developers and support team quite late for the fast growing company. Simple things working very well, but if you want something special for your special business process Cin7 answer we can not do it. And at the same time, I receive the same answer for some simple things which should be done by default. The Cin7 developers develop firstly what more popular under the requests from customers, so this is just one way of communication. They do not ask all customers if they need something and do not share information what other customers ask from Cin7 to make for them. Because some of the customers just simply do not know what they could possibly have from Cin7 to make their business better they need to have a support from Cin7, otherwise, some companies will loosing money on something which Cin7 could possible automatise for them or show the short cut. So the priority of development not actually going the right way. Would like to see more options for users create their own interface, reports, etc. without asking Cin7 make it for them.
Cin7 can save a lot of time for the customers if Cin7 will work more to customization way.

Pros: For us the the automation of Shopify and Amazon stock and orders was the main selling point and it does this seamlessly - a huge time saver for us .

Cons: Quite a lot of customisation is required to get the system working the way we want it too but the support staff are always very helpful

Pros: Great software which has a good user friendly concept. The team has progressed well over the years to include great features and constantly progressing towards ironing out any issues.

Cons: There are some limitations towards customization but the whole concept of Cin7 is like one size fits all so we have to suggest and wait for it to be taken up. Although you cant fully change the software but they do try their best to make available whatever customization they can do for us.

Overall: We were able to do superb serial based tracking of our inventory.

Pros: CIN 7 is a comprehensive and easy to use inventory management software that has helped us immensely in managing our stock and saving us a lot of time.
The interface is easy to use and the functionality and compatibility it provides is second to none which makes our everyday functioning seamless.
Their support staff is extremely helpful whenever needed as well. Strongly recommend this software.

Cons: Nothing in particular yet. There have been instances where more provisions for customizing would have helped us, however the customer support has been very prompt in fixing any issues that we have had.

Overall: Efficiency in managing stock, time saving, high functionality and seamless integration into our processes and excellent customer service.

Pros: You will be working with real people and they are responsive and easy to work with. This product has good starting capability and is always expanding. I look forward to working with them long term.

Pros: This program is great at managing inventory, invoicing and entering purchase orders to vendors. Being able to track product in and out and batch and serial numbers is a great feature.
Emailing invoices is easy to do.

Cons: I don't like how it interacts with Xero. Also, don't like that it doesn't have the customization we need. The inability to add more than one contact without creating a separate company entry for the new contact is a big minus.

Pros: The ease of processing Purchase and Sales orders and on completion of theses orders, the flow through to Xero.

Cons: The cloud delay with the auto search - but this is more than outweighed by it's functionality. (Although would have taken just as long if you had need to click a 'search' button !)

Pros: Being cloud-based. Live data, ease of back ordering, visibility of orders. Overall look and feel of the main interface.

Cons: Processing credits - not enough control. ie I can process credits for greater quantities of stock against a debtor than what quantity was originally invoiced. Transaction / credit links need to look-up product database to allow / disallow stock movements.

Pros: For years we have been experimenting with systems that will enable us to grow. Cin7 is now centred as our core system that handles stock purchasing through to customers sales to even document management.

Cons: The size and potential of Cin7 is huge, which means it can be very time consuming setting up and customising it to your needs. We are still learning even now.

Overall: We have been looking for an application to house all the components of our business in one place. For years we have been using an array of programs and spread sheets, which increases the complexity and confusion within the business. Cin7 has enabled us to eliminate the majority of these additional applications and simplify the tools we use.

We need good tools to automate time consuming tasks as much as possible. Cin7 is great for us!

Pros: Tracking the products

Cons: Lack of customization. Doesn't do every report I want and I can't make my own

Overall: Very straightforward system. Easy to setup and easy to maintain, great reporting functionality, LOVE the tracking of stock movements!
Could do with some more customization options, but overall a good service.

Recommendations to other buyers: It is really great if you take the time to learn how to use it properly.

Like any extensive system, its all about setting up correctly from the start, making sure your utilising all the available features that meet your business requirements.

Comments: Cin 7 has been a challenging experience for us and it has taken many months for us to make the transition from MYOB. As a program it integrates with Xero well and is fairly easy to use apart from a few 'tricks' that are not obvious. However, we are disappointed with the difference between what was promised and what was eventually able to be delivered, mainly in terms of customisation for our business. However, while it has been a long and frustrating process, while the customer service experience lacked good communication at times an effort was made to work with us as much as possible.

Pros: we went from having a severe bottleneck in regards to sales orders/accounting/inventory management - to giving everyone real time access to our numbers, inventory & sales. for that reason alone (and many others), i highly recommend it. are there things that could be better? obviously. but i do believe they are working on those things!also set up was a breeze (because you have a specific person assigned to your company!)

Cons: b2b site could be improved. as could make modifications/personalization easier

Pros: Great reporting and customisation

Cons: A bit slow to respond at times cause cloud based, and constantly logs out due to inactivity..even after a short amount of time.

Overall: Cin7 is a great inventory management system that has the ability to be customised to a variety of businesses. Let's face it, no 2 businesses are the same so the fact that the team at Cin7 are willing to customise their product to the best of their ability to suit your business is great. It's also got some really great reporting functions as well. Recently had to get some help for the support team and Customer support representative did a great job in responding in a timely manner and dealing with my request. Thanks guys.

Comments: We have been using Cin 7 for a few years, it was simple to implement and integrate with Xero, 3PL, Shopify, Magento and EDI. It is simple and flexible to use great for any mid sized business or anyone starting out. There are a few limitations but generally a great all round solution.

Comments: We use Cin7 as it allows us to buy and sell products in the way that we want to, and by its link to Xero we can run our General ledgers the way we want to as well, ie without having to run COGS Balance Sheet for Inventory. The process flow is quite easy to pick up, the reports are detailed and can be changed to show required data by drag & drop using the pivot table design.

Overall: I have been working with Cin7 for the past 5 years, working with over 100 businesses in the retail, wholesale, manufacturing, and distribution around the globe, including New Zealand, Australia, USA, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, China, Indonesia and Canada.
Cin7 has been a powerful solution that I have helped clients implement into their business to improve their inventory control and manage their business operations.
I have seen clients reduce operating costs by becoming leaner and more efficient saving in one case $150,000 annually. I have seen clients expand their business operations into new markets, new stores, new online marketplaces and new business opportunities.
Cin7 has been in some cases changed completely the way business operate and have been able to transform themselves that more aligns with the company's vision and goals.

Comments: We have been using Cin7 since 2013 and a lot of customisation was done in the first 2 years to suit our complex brewery processes. The initial work agreed upon has yet to be completed which leaves us wanting in terms of functionality and usefulness particularly on the planning side of things. This, combined with the inability to get further customisation undertaken, and only one developer able to undertake the programming, provides an ongoing challenge and means additional work for us to get the information we require out of the system. In terms of basic functionality and the links to Xero it works well and the support team are good at getting back to sort the little issues that arise. Improvements have been made to inform of updates and background issues and I see the weekly blogs and tutorials which I'm sure prove really useful for people using the standard system but there are still daily frustrations with us which probably relate to having such a customised system.

Overall: Cin7 has been a very functional and customisable inventory management system which we rely on extensively for the day to day operations of our business being in the FMCG industry. Cin7 support has also been great as there are many aspects to the software which are not easily identifiable however you can always speak to someone who is able to assist. Integrations in Xero have generally worked well however there have been a few teething issues with this also. The biggest drawback we find is (brief) service interruptions which always seem to occur at very importune times for our business.

Comments: I highly recommend Cin7 as an inventory management solution. The integrations with accounting and eCommerce stores are seamless and make life easier by minimising double handling of data. We use Xero and Shopify and are very happy with the interaction between the software.
We started using Cin7 as a new business and haven't looked back. Cin7 allows you to control and accurately value your stock and also has the B2B website and POS functionality.
The support team are also excellent. You are allocated an onboarding specialist who guides you through the implementation process. Ongoing support and training via webinars is also very good.
Cin7 is a value solution - don't waste time using spreadsheets or any other manual process, it is too much hassle and will cost you more time and money in the end. Get Cin7!!

Comments: Going from managing our multiple warehouses and stock that we have out on trial with Customers via multiple excel spreadsheets to CIN7 has been an eye opening experience, we have found stock around the country that we were unaware of, and instead on continuously re-ordering more stock because our main warehouse didn't have any, we can now see exactly what each Rep has on hand and can move stock to where it is needed.
Cin7 is very quickly proving it it's worth helping us work smarter and more efficiently.

The mobile stock take module has not work out too well for us but will work well for those that have a lower number of products. CIN7 is however working on this.

Overall: We have been using Cin7 for over 12 months; this have changed the way we oprate and enable a major growth of the business. The main extra features that are making the difference for us are: Ability of doing B2B, Shopify integration ( and others ), multiple branches. This is obviously on top of the standard features which a good POS system, excellent inventory management with Purchase orders, back orders, sales orders etc. There are many new features being added too. All in all this has helped our business to improve and grow.

Comments: After much research, we started using Cin7 in 2015. We have a somewhat complex business, with various facets - a retail space requiring POS, holding stock of a large array of products, an online store, a commercial arm of the business that sells mainly customised furniture. This requires keeping stock of standard components, issuing multiple purchase orders, and ultimately building one-off end products.
The functionality and look of Cin7 is quite good, but as we are a design business, it's important that our paperwork and systems suit the image of our business. It's been great to be able to setup custom templates for all our documentation for a consistent look.
The expanding list of integrations is promising - we currently use Shopify and Xero, and these work well for us.
What is lacking (and hopefully possible with a future plug-in), is a scheduling aspect. We deliver projects with various stages and milestones, though we cannot use Cin7 for an easy overview / status updates.
While some aspects are customisable (pivot table reporting is great), we'd like to be able to tailor the Dashboard reports.
The customer support is sometimes amazing, other times leaves something to be desired. The hierarchy of urgency on tickets doesn't seem to bear much weight! The new 'help' website is brilliant though. Look forward to this being expanded further.
Essentially, it's a neat inventory system and POS, that can be customised to a degree.

Comments: We have been using Cin7 for almost 2 years. It was great when we started and just keeps getting better and better. Almost every month there are small incremental updates and improvements made that add new features and improve existing ones.
We integrate with our website, our courier company and accounting software. It all just works.
Import and export features are particularly strong. You can pretty much export and import anything as required.
Whilst the UI is clean and uncluttered it does display a lot of information. It is very usable on a 32" monitor, but so not much on a 24".
Built in POS is a nice touch. Most other packages would require a 3rd party module for this.
I can't wait to see what this software looks like in another 2 years. By then it will probably make the coffee as well !!!

Pros: Inventory Batching and Costing

Cons: You need to be careful when keying in a customer or supplier name, sometimes if you don't pick the correct one, it creates a new customer.

Overall: As a new user to CIN7, it has been a major change to our business to finally have a system that can provide our business with proper cost of goods sold for products. CIN7 is such an easy and flexible system and not only does it allows us to properly track our inventory at different branches, it¿s strong reporting mechanism helps our business not only track inventory but we can also report and forecast on our projected sales.

Coming from a previous system where inventory was tracked manually, the time wasted tracking inventory and looking for batches has now instead given us that extra time to work and improve our business.

I am looking forward to learning more of its features and functionalities as I use the system more.

Recommendations to other buyers: It works really well with Xero as long as the setup is correct which makes it so much easier to use.

Cin7 was recommended by several people in various industries.
After looking into the product further, we decided Cin7 would suit our business needs.
The integration with our shop front was seamless - the support team was amazing at talking us as new users through each stage, or anything we didn't quite grasp.
Love the fact that the support team is always available as well.
Aside from the integrations, we love the fact that Cin7 as a POS system built in - it literally takes care of everything!
The system itself is very user friendly and easy to navigate.

Pros: Fantastic integration support, feature rich, good system & stock controls. It is also flexible and can be tailored to your needs.

Overall: Being a cafe and retail wine store, Cin7 has solved some major stock control problems for us, saving loads of time (1 less staff member) with unnecessary manual processes and significantly reducing the amount of lost inventory.
After disappointing attempts with 2 other POS products, Cin7 integration was fast, efficient and totally painless. We were assigned a Cin7 support person who held our hand through every step. They had an in-house QBO specialist who I shared my QBO access with and they made sure everything was working perfectly. Syncronisation (2 way) is now simply the press of a button and we have a rich source of data to analyse and improve business performance. Highly recommend. Brett (Director)

Comments: As a Sales and Operations Planning consultant I am working with several clients who have Cin7 and highly recommend the system.

I have worked with new Cin7 customer implementations as well as existing Cin7 users and the system can deliver a cost effective premium inventory service connecting multiple Retail/Wholesale sales channels and manage information in real time.

The support team are highly knowledgeable and helpful and the development team are always working towards improving functionality.

SME¿s do not always have the time, expertise or resource to understand if Cin7 can be moulded to suit their operational requirements. They are often unaware of the highly configurable aspects of the system.

Cons: Can feel a bit "clunky" at times.

Overall: Was told to find a stock and inventory management system, that integrated with QBO, and have a B2B for under $5k per annum....
Looked at Trade Gecko, Dear, Shopify etc. none of these ticked our particular boxes.

We went from tracking stock on Excel (200+ items) and regular customers (300+) to CIN7 and QBO. The more I use CIN7 the more I realize it is truly built as a stock and inventory management system.

We have room to expand into it as our business grows, and will soon be taking it nationally (6 warehouses)

The hardest thing is getting all you stock/suppliers/customers etc. into the format CIN7 requires (basic .csv file).

I just wish CIN7 had their own support locally to help with integration.

Overall: We came from using MYOB which had very little help and was very rigid in its structure. We often had to find work arounds to fit in with the system (rather than the system working in with us)

Discovering Cin7 has been a game changer because not only does it work with us according to our preferences but it also does a lot more than meets the eye.

We purchased Cin7 for its Inventory and warehouse capabilities but we have since discovered other features that have become essential to our business (POS, Stocktake, Forcasting etc)

Comments: We looked at several different systems (Dear, Stitch, etc.) before selecting Cin7, now over a year ago. Our business has a lot of nuances (we sell in multiple channels and require several integrations), and many other systems were unable to accommodate our needs. Cin7 offers a far more customizable system than any of the others we tried, and while there was a steep learning curve during the on-boarding process, we are very happy with where we are today. A large part of this is the outstanding customer service - even via email, the Cin7 team is always responsive and very proactive. We've worked with them to come up with several "work arounds" to accomplish our desired goals within the confines of their existing system, and on the (rare) occasions this was not possible, we were able to pay a small fee for Cin7 to build out a custom solution. It seems that Cin7 is constantly improving and offering new features, so we're excited for what's to come!

Overall: This is a good product, it has easy to use features, but small things make it confusing when you're starting out. Setting up customer discounts, backorders, location fields of products, are some of the annoying things, all things that could be made a lot simpler.
The good things are the Web-based, inter grat integration, BOM, being able to add freight costs to stock at any time. Still learning the product I am sure I will learn more as we go. Maybe a review in another 6 months will have more stars.

Pros: Converting quotes into sales orders and being able to upload images onto invoices. We had to re-write quotes and submit images separately when doing custom ordering which was time-consuming and confusing. Cin7 also allows us to submit custom orders directly to our workshop by clicking on a drop-down menu.

Cons: The majority of our clientele are designers and we have to refund taxes from time to time or refund a specific amount e.g. extra discount with Cin7 you can only refund a line item.

Overall: Cin7 has been extremely efficient by its ability to create varies invoices and track inventory. We currently have a total of 5 furniture retail stores and a workshop, all stores create quotes, invoices, and work orders on a daily basis.
The majority of our business is custom work and we were looking for a system with the capability to store a lot of information (detailed work).
There are multiple perks to this system but I have to say two of my favorites are converting quotes into sales orders and being able to upload images onto invoices.

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall this is a great program and I highly recommend you at least check it out. Our store managers are very satisfied with Cin7.

Comments: We are an importing and project fit out business and the combination of Xero and Cin7 has been fantastic. Cin7 has all the inventory basics covered and it even handles fully landed stock costing like a much more expensive system which is a real benefit to us.

Pros - Easy to use, Onboarding support is very good and the whole Cin7 team is eager to assist when problems are identified.
Cons - Report writing capacity is limited but to be fair the Cin7 team will assist in setting up new reports where needed.

Customer support is good and their knowledge is very good. Value for money is ok. I have experienced a few outages in the back office but these tend to be fixed quickly and even when outside of business hours. It doesn't have a debtors module which is crucial for us doing trade sales on credit but we link it with Xero and this seems to go well. The only downside is the price has increased quite a bit from the level it was at when we made the decision to switch over. Overall though I'd recommend others to come on board with Cin7.

Overall: So far it looks promising and support is working with us to tackle problems we're having with Shopify tax solutions, and Commission Rep reporting features as well was discount issues within the B2B platform. Once these are resolved I expect it will meet our needs. We hope to have our warehouse needs met by Jan 1, and our B2B platform ready by Feb 1. Until we launch and have been using for a bit, we can't give more stars - but we're optimistic it will be suited to our staff and customer needs. The layout seems user-friendly, as always with a big system change over - the headaches lie within the setup.

Recommendations to other buyers: More input from warehousing companies might help in addition of some features that should be standard.

Comments: Cin7 is a great inventory management system which I highly recommend. CIN7 has other modules such as POS and B2B. The software is designed for ease of use and integrates with XERO seamlessly.
I have been very impressed with the support especially the support from Vijay who has promptly answered all my queries.
If you are looking for a robust inventory management system with 3PL connection, then CIN7 is the best solution at a reasonable price.

Pros: Value for money, amount of features packed into the one subscription, integration with other critical software such as accounting, support articles, support staff, flexibility, the list goes on.

Cons: User interface is not as friendly as it could be. This is likely a victim of the huge amount of features available.

Overall: Recently moved to Cin7 from another inventory software. So many great features it's hard to review them all! Absolutely trumps our old software on every front. The included B2B was a surprise to us and even resulted in us leaving our old e-commerce website to use Cin7 exclusively.
The flexibility and integrations are awesome, works well to integrate our accounting software with orders via phone/email, online or in person via the included POS add-on.
The value for money with this product is excellent, offers features you would expect to pay at least twice the price for.
The best part of the whole process has been the support provided by the Cin7 team. Extremely timely responses which are critical in business and refreshing to not just receive a generic "thanks for your email" response. A big shout out to the representative who has helped us every step of the way to ensure we are using the package to it's full potential and ensuring everything is integrated and running smoothly. It's great to get your own point of contact who works hard to help where possible and actually remembers you and your business - big thumbs up!
Would certainly recommend giving Cin7 a go. It can be a little daunting at first, but the excellent Launchpad and support articles make almost any question instantly answerable.
We've spent thousands of dollars on other software, some we've kept, others we've ditched in favour of something new and none of them have provided the level of support and features you get here.

Comments: We are a small business with 6 employees based in Australia and working in the construction supply industry. We sell mainly to trade, via trade credit accounts, but also do some wholesale and retail sales. We have around 500 account customers and 7000 product lines. Due to the size limitation of our site we do a large number of stock turns on many items, so inventory management, ease of generating orders and stock receipting are very important to us. The competitive nature of our industry demands the capability to have multiple discounting methods which are applied at both customer and product (quantity based) levels enabling accurate and consistent pricing to customers.
We have been using another software for over two years with another cloud-based POS/inventory/CRM product and have recently switched to Cin7. In short, I wish we had swapped sooner. Though we have literally only been using Cin7 'live' for three weeks now, the experience is so superior, so 'next level' that it is clear to me we were simply using the wrong package for our business. While we are still learning and growing into the Cin7 package, we are finding that its operation is streamlining our processes, increasing our invoicing accuracy and assisting with our inventory management. Integration has been nearly flawless, with hours saved every week on automatic invoice due date production.
Despite many offers of more involved training, Cin7 is so logically constructed that we taught ourselves, with the aid of available on-line help resources and the occasional email or phone conference with our mentor. Having a dedicated project manager from Cin7 to guide us through the 'onboarding' process was brilliant, saving the usual frustration of explaining the same thing to multiple people in a standard help desk environment. Our manager really took the time to understand how we do business and then show us how our requirements could best be implemented. Staggeringly we had some customization specific to our needs built into the platform in a matter of hours during the onboarding process. The whole task of switching from old to new could not have been any more straightforward.
I look forward to becoming more adept with Cin7 and using what I learn to increase productivity while bettering the interaction between our business and our customers.

Comments: We have just started using CIN7 and so far so good. Our onboarding process has been a journey, with a few ups and downs and a bit of learning as you go. We were encouraged to watch their training videos which are rather generic, and mostly helpful to understand the user interface and very basic system use, but not much beyond that. When we dug into the details, the CIN7 support specialists were very helpful in adapting the system to fit our business. We had an issue with POS and they created a new module which would accommodate our specific needs. The reporting is really good and in an easy to read format. I look forward to expanding our use of CIN7 to more modules and getting the full benefits of the system. The biggest negative is we were told that Quickbooks Online would work with CIN7, which it does not in New Zealand, so we had to change accounting systems to Xero, after we had purchased Quickbooks online.

Comments: We recently implemented CIN7 and it has significantly improved our sales and stock visibility across our multiple sales channels and warehouses. It is customisable to meet our needs and what isn't readily available, CIN7 willing to consider in future releases.

Importantly, we have been able to have multiple entities for different regions sharing stock, work with multiple currencies and plug in our e-commerce platform, release a B2B platform and a POS platform for trade shows and expos.

You are well supported through the implementation via an onboarding team and the support staff respond quickly to any questions you have.

In terms of price, there are only 5 users included in the monthly fee even if you are on the Professional plan, so we had to use the licenses wisely otherwise, the addition of $45 per user per month can quickly add up and make it expensive.

Overall: I've had the opportunity to implement SAP in another company I owned, and it was a total mess and very very expensive. Now I have a new company that it is starting with a platform that some years ago was only available for the large companies.

Cons: The linking with Magento

Overall: The main reason we chose to change to Cin7 was to have the ability to link our magento website with our POS to have a accurate inventory update.

Pros: It is a comprehensive platform that offers a lot of features.

Cons: It has an outdated design and is quite expensive for small businesses to start out on.

Overall: Whilst there are always compromises when it comes to inventory management, Cin7 offers a comprehensive package that covers most bases (more than any other - and trust me I researched this a lot!). And they do offer customisation too if what they have doesn't quite cover your bases.

So if you have complex inventory management requirements and you are looking for loads of side benefits - POS, BOMs, B2B, 3PL etc - then definitely take a closer look at Cin7. And even if your requirements are simple definitely consider Cin7 as your company will be able to grow in to its many features.

As a comparison with the many other inventory packages and POS systems I have worked with Cin7 is by far the most comprehensive and thus I really couldn't recommend enough.

The cons are that it could be considered slightly clunky to work through some things - but I would argue this is necessary to have a slightly complex system that allows a company to grow into. One example of this, just to give an idea, is when using BOMs. They don't automatically update the cost price of the good they create (there is an extra step to set it up to do this which is not very obvious). This would seem annoying and slightly counterintuitive. AlthoughI would also argue that it does offer you the extra advantage of being able to choose whether a BOM price update will automatically update the cost price of a good. So you can see it can be clunky but also kind of necessary in terms of flexibility.

The only other two cons I would say are the slightly outdated design of the platform which aesthetically isn't the best. And not having much choice in invoice design etc. But this is really just nit picking and something that I am sure will be fixed at some point.

So overall really would have to recommend - especially if you are looking for a wide range of features and a well designed platform.

Recommendations to other buyers: Perhaps offering a simpler small business cheaper package so they can start out and slowly grow into the many features. Also just an update on the look of Cin7 would be nice as well as more ways to input design into the invoices etc would be great. Also an app would be great (especially for stock features so staff can use on a tablet). Although the responsive website is pretty good anyway.

Comments: Does the basics well. Integration with shopify and xero is tidy. Is easy to use but documentation needs work. Value for money is average now the price has increased. 3PL connection works but could be a lot better if it synced inventory both ways. Support can be slow to respond but they are generally accurate with solutions. B2B site has limited options but for a hosted solution it is satisfactory for wholesale.

Software has been developed mainly for clothing retail. A White Goods/ Industrial Machinery configuration would make the set-up process easier in the future.

Overall: Cin7 is very simple to use. We are a company that has used quite old methods for Inventory and Project management, and implementing Cin7 into our operations has been incredibly easy. Staff are impressed with the easy to use interface, and the range of features available to them on hand.

We were very impressed with how quickly the support team resolved issues with the system and how they were able to manipulate the features to suit our business.

Their bin location module is very impressive for a cloud based inventory management solution. For the price, there are no other cloud based solutions available with the features Cin7 offers.

Overall: If XERO is "beautiful accounting software" Cin7 is "beautiful ERP software". The ability of Cin7 to manage the end to end of process of purchase, manufacture, and sales of Product is unsurpassed, especially at the price you pay for it!
One of the best elements of "the implementation process" (always the tricky bit) is the accessibility and knowledge of the "onboarding" team. You get a dedicated Project Manager who patiently walks you through each step of the process.
Having come from the "big end" of IT, with all its rigmarole and Professional Services costs, Cin7 is a breath of fresh air !!

Recommendations to other buyers: Well worth the expenses in dollars and time, as a tool that aggregates all your inventory and production information. Very accessible and valuable for small manufacturers. Use an external resource who understands implementation processes.

Cons: It is not a totally "idiot proof" system, so you need to know how to use they system and processes correctly to make sure you are recording data in the right way.

Overall: Cin7 is a great and robust system. The new interface looks really clean and clear and it is extremely intuitive to use.

While it is simple and clear on the "outside", the functionality "under the bonnet" is extensive and what makes Cin7 different from the rest is the customization that is available.
No other app in the Xero marketplace offers tailored customisation as Cin7 does.

It is a very powerful tool and the value / cost is impressive.
Moreover, the product is always evolving and the team at Cin7 are always implementing user requests and implementing new changes very rapidly.

I can strongly recommend it.

Pros: It's in the cloud and integrates reasonable well with xero. Works 70% well with magento. Looks nice to work with.

Cons: Very very poor customer service. Help manuals have typos and often are not accurate e.g. our web developer trying following the 'magento-cin7 integration guide' said it was not accurate and could not be followed. When I brought this back to cin7 for help they ignored it and refused to assist.

Overall: This could be a GREAT product if the cin7 customer service was improved. I guess we consumers expected it should or would better than it is after the lovely period.

Experienced a few bugs that have no logical reason e.g. one recent example is we updated a product price in cin7 and expect it to reflect in the B2B portal.
Price does correctly update in the 'shopping cart but still shows old price in the main product page. It's confusing to customers and can loose us sales opportunities. Yes we refreshed, emptied cache etc etc - it's a bug.
Lodged a Cin7 support ticket 4 days back and still not a whisper or reply.
This is not the first time. Other issues/ bugs take longer than we expect to get picked up by cin7 support.

We also use a magento B2C website integration.
Each year we find we need to upgrade our magento platform. This is normal as new security and website functionality get improved.

Difficult to try to convince cin7 to reconnect cin7 to the new magento site. In fact they refused to. No matter how much pleading they said they will only do it for a 'new' customer. I said I am an 'existing' customer!! I even said I was willing to pay. They were soooo stubborn it was like dealing with a stone. No genuine customer connection whatsoever. Disappointing.

Pre-sign over 12 months ago the sign on staff were soooo sweet to help us connect with magento.
I was in love with them.
Once we were a customer they slowly couldn't give hoot. Over time back office support were less and less helpful "... not their problem. Check out the help links bla bla bla."
I needed my supplier (Cin7) to help me (their existing customer) connect magento (a product they advertise as an integration partner) to their system.
We asked cin7 to understand this and help their customer with the integration to their system.
Instead of 'supporting their customer' they eventually recommended we use a 3rd party, someone they said was a 'magento - cin7 expert'. They sent me their 'guys details' and after much pain and cost we got the integration connected in about 4 weeks. Cin7 could have done it in a matter of hours as they do for new customers but they chose not to with existing customers.
I am not looking forward to the next time we need to update our platform. They need to provide service to allow customers to want to stay with them otherwise I for one will be keeping my eyes open for a better option where customer service is a priority and not a hassle.

Recommendations to other buyers: They (the cin7 boffins) will occasionally tinker with the software and one day you'll find something you found useful and working perfectly well yesterday is no longer there. E.g. we wanted to enter the expiry date of a quote ourselves when one day the only option was 30 days. When we brought this to cin7 attention they said this was now an additional service. We said - mate we need quotes to stand for 30-60-90-12 and 180 days depending on who we are quoting. It cost us t have it reinstated. These cin7 backend guys have no real idea about how business people need flexibility in quoting. If they stopped tinkering and had a much more accomodating customer support service and can-do "attitude" I would score them higher because they have an edge in cloud based inventory for the moment. If another company comes along offering similar functions but delivers a better service then I'll take a serious look and seek a 2 hour response service level guarantee before I sign up.

Cin7 has customised the B2B website in line with your needs, such as adding the customised listing views. This type of customisation is not even included in our Enterprise Package, yet we have done this free of charge. Customisations can sometimes cause problems in conjunction with future releases or overall updates to the system. If there is bug we do try and solve the problem as quickly as possible. Magento is a complex software - and requires specialised developers. Though we can help on the Cin7 side we prefer to leave the Magento development to experts; we¿ve recommended an external implementer whom we¿re happy to help. Cin7 values its customers and we try our best to understand their business needs. We believe that a similar offering with a traditional ERP would cost thousands of dollars.

Comments: I had been very happy with the system, But when CIN7 informed of their 55% price increase I started to think of all the problems it has which I had be overlooking because it was cheap - It does not integrate with quickbooks (for me), it crashes, there is lot of bugs, Customer support never actually fixes anything they just come back to you and say they are looking into it/fixing it/no problems at their end and eventually I had been giving up and putting up with them.

Comments: We are a jewellery manufacturing business based in Thailand. We have been operating for 38 years and have a factory, retail shops, consignments, online stores, wholesale and export customers and attend regular retail and trade fares. We produce over 1500 different products.

Because Cin7 covers so many areas there is a lot of learning to do at the start and ongoing. However I found the menu system with in Cin7 makes it straight forward to use, there are plenty of helpful articles, videos and guidance on the website and the customer service has been excellent in helping us set up.

With regards to the customer service I had an initial run through the programme via a video call and since then have been in regular email contact with our own named contact. Although we are based in Thailand and our customer services representative is in New Zealand I have not found this too much of an issue. We have a cross over of working hours in the morning here so I can email at that time and have replies with in about 10 minutes. Our Cin7 contact has been extremely helpful she will guide me on how to solve any queries I have or even, on the odd occasion, get the Cin7 team to make changes, when possible, to the programme to fit our needs which has been very helpful and unexpected.

Once you know how the system works uploading product details and photos (if needed) is straight forward.

The point of sale was straight forward to set up and use.

Summary: Over all I have had a very good experience so far with Cin7. The programme covers many areas from manufacturing to retail and can get quite complicated, however you can take or leave as much as you wish and make it as simple or complex as suits your needs. The customer service I have experienced has been excellent (Thanks Sam). Although I have not tried any other similar programmes I would definitely recommend any small to medium sized company to consider this one for manufacturers through to retailers and anywhere in between.

Comments: We tried another inventory system, Fishbooks, previously and had a very tough time integrating it with our Magento store. After about 9 months we decided to make the switch. So glad we did, the effort to integrate was about 1/4 the time, we didn't need a DB expert any longer and the annual fees were about 1/2 the price. Granted we are only a medium sized business so we didn't the evaluate the options that were $50k and higher though for what we needed nothing came close to Cin7's value.

I was a bit skeptical in the beginning of support from a smaller company and being HQ'd in Australia though they have positioned a support staff that works US time frames and Craig was amazing at answering questions at all hours for me. Whenever we had an issue it would frequently be resolved within a few hours and rarely going over 24 hours.

Comments: The customer service is terrible. Being based in New-Zealand they have work hours that don't match ours.
They never come back to us.
Worst part of Cin7 is the weekly Mondays updates that mess around the system without any noticeable improvements. We lost functions and datas.

They always blame us first when raising an issue and they don't even understand how our business is articulated.

I strongly recommend to stay away from this software.

We are still in the process of learning everything that it can do but we are already appreciating how much faster and easier CIN7 is compared to our old program. If I have one piece of advice for prospective users it would be to make sure you are very organized and take the time to clean up all of your data. Triple and quadruple check. It's a lot easier than cleaning it up after. Overall, I believe our business has definitely benefitted from implementing CIN7.

Comments: After review of other platforms we went with Cin7 for its capability to integrate with Shopify and Ship Station and the ability to scan in information for inventory control

Cin7 covers all the major requirements and its inventory management is easy to use, provides great flexibility and traceability.

The monthly fee is reasonable for the amount of product/capability/support that the Cin7 platform provides

Integration with Shopify and other key ecommerce platforms we use seamlessly work with each other.

The final note regarding is the customer service and support, I was a little concerned with having such a key application based in New Zealand but there are no worries, between the on line help set up so that there are people available to speak and or work with in your local time zone, I find this extremely convenient and shout out to Cin7 for their accommodation to their customer base. Secondly there is a built in feature where problems, questions, clarifications can be sent in as a ticket and you get a response with solutions within a day.

Comments: We are using Cin7 to combine our brick and mortar inventory with our web inventory. The system works seamlessly. We are using the POS only as a inventory tracking system, not as a cash register. We are new to this level of inventory management software, so the learning curve has been really steep. Craig has been responsive and beyond patient with his hand holding. Still having newbie issues with Stocktake Master, but Craig will get us though those issues as well.

Comments: Have had issues for a long time with Xero integration, but we have had a new staff member start recently who is more savvy with that and we should be able to sort it out now, however it has been a major bugbear - we had accounts etc set up on products in Cin7 but they would not come across to Xero.
The CRM was a disappointment so we ended up using Salesforce.
However it is an easy to use system and I do like the "Last 50 Transactions" button - probably my favourite feature when doing purchasing, production jobs and stocktakes as it is a very quick way to trace transactions.
1 thing for Cin7 to improve on would be the standard reports - they are hard to read and there don't seem to be any tutorials on them that I have seen, some training would be good.

Comments: Since we migrated to cin7, our stock issues have disappeared, sales are made easy with full trackig ability on stock incoming/outgoing. Also the backends features such a the retail reports dashboard are great as they easily allow you to track your sales records day to day, week to week and month to month. The front end of Pos is also great, with easy and efficient searchability of orders, nd well reflected stock levels.

Cin7 Inventory Management and POS

Comments: Cin7 has saved us so much time and has really streamlined our business in every aspect from POS to purchasing/invoicing. We now have greater control over our stock levels and access to a wide range of reports which are helpful in the day to day running of the business, but also for future forecasting. Even though Cin7 is not based in Australia, we have not had a problem receiving support. Daniel guided us through the setup process and has answered all of our questions (basic or complicated!) quickly and in good detail. Although it would be more helpful if they had a representative in Australia who could assist with the initial setup of the program and somebody who could walk you through its capabilities - as we are new to inventory management. However, I would recommend this application to anyone needing a good inventory management programme or POS system - not only has it saved us time, but a lot of money too!

Comments: When I first viewed CIN7 in a trial version and then had a couple of hours with one of their staff I was staggered but skeptical that all of the promises would or could be delivered upon. Boy was I wrong and I have been delighted to discover well thought through connectivity and inter
relationships of functions. Put quite simply CIN7 is a 2016 Maserati against model T Ford of legacy systems that are holding back efficiency and productivity....I hope my competitors don't read this. In fact I tell everyone who will listen that CIN7 is our secret weapon and definitely our competitive advantage. Amazingly after nearly a year of operation there are only a handful of modifications that we'd consider helpful but not necessary for our business going forward.

Comments: For my Inventory clients who need wholesale and or retail & online sales channels, Cin7 is a comprehensive add on to Xero covering all three. Scoping is essential to make sure any application will meet my clients needs and this is done jointly with Cin7¿s sales team to get an accurate evaluation. Once the entire project has been considered the account is set up and integrated with Xero, with Cin7 assigning a project manager to help smooth the process along and do any customisation. Working with many add ons, the support offered by the team at Cin7 has been fantastic.

The recent dashboard upgrade has turned this once ugly duckling into a beautiful swan!

Comments: We are brand new to xero in this new financial year.

Running several Battery Stores in the NT we needed something to integrate the inventory. Melding the three stores old MYOB data together has been 'interesting' to say the least seeing that the old data was not the best with double ups of barcodes etc because our previous system did not communicate to the others. Cin7 have helped us greatly with this.

Now, we have all the data linked, we are becoming more congruent each day.

There is a lot to learn, but I will say this. Cin7's customer service has been outstanding. Shyam gets onto things straight away and has helped us each step of the way, thanks to Skype calls etc.

What I like about Cin7 is that the system is evolving and changing to suit the needs of customers. I am giving four stars for now and will most likely upgrade this to 5 in a few weeks when we have been operating for while!
