Pros: It's very user friendly, customizable, and has a robust reporting system. It can also be integrated with external systems.

Cons: The technical side is a bit complicated. Being a functional user, having implemented the software across the company and training employees, I expected to be able to make some customizations myself. I know programming, so logic was understansable but it was still complicated. It could be learnt with a little bit of training though. Not a huge negative.

Overall: Implemented across 6 regions of the company to achieve process alignment.

Pros: Salesforce can do it all. You can keep track of all of your leads and determine exactly where they are in your sales funnel.

Cons: It is a very robust software with a ton of features. So, you may need a training session in order to be able to use it to its full potential.

Overall: The ability to organize your sales funnel is enormous!

Pros: - Extreme level of customizability (also a curse)!
- Best in class funnels / reporting. No other tool comes close.
- Integrations with practically anything
- We've used it for our sales, customer support and contracts processes for over 6 years now. Don't think we could operate without it.

Cons: - Not a huge fan of the new Lightning interface. It feels slower to use, and the tabbed layout is redundant at times.
- Not easy for configure and administer yourself. It's all there, but finding settings, toggles and features is extremely hard without help (guess that's why there is so much external support available).

Well - it's an absolutely fantastic platform. Unbeatable in that domain. However, it's slow!

Pros: My new favorite function that my company just added was creating a quote within a Salesforce opportunity. This has allowed everything to streamline a standardization and to create a professional PDF to send to the customer, while also being saved on the account so any sales representative can reference my specific pricing.

Cons: I personally wish that when you reassign a task to a different person, there was still a function to edit or add notes to it. There are times it is frustrating having to create another task because information has a potential to be lost going back and forth between multiple tasks on the same account.

Pros: Links up with our Cisco phone company so each time a customer calls in, the account pulls directly up. You can also pull custom reports with this software capturing specific market's sales forecasts. Also allows you to run daily reports on subordinates sales numbers, calls made, emails sent, sales identified.

Cons: Sometimes the phone to Salesforce crashes which then you have to look accounts up manually.

Also, it doesn't prompt you to fix an email address that won't sync, it just goes to a list of "non responsive". Would be nice to have a prompt letting you know your email isn't going to get logged.

Pros: Great tool for staying on top of sales. Has the ability to hold a lot of information and organize it neatly.

Cons: Too many features, most of which I don't need, making it difficult to get where I want to go quickly. Simultaneously, it doesn't have one big feature that I would like: I'd like to be able to automatically import information from a contact form spreadsheet and have some of the information fall under different categories (i.e. account, contact, opportunity). I spoke with customer service and they said this feature may be possible if I signed up for a more expensive (cost prohibitive) version of the software. For the price I'm paying and how basic a request this is, I think this feature should be built in.

Pros: I love how it is easy to dig deep into different layers of data with just a combination of clicks. It is quite interesting to see how much you can infer from different layers of data that add structure to your analysis. Salesforce makes it very easy to back up data with sound evidences and inferences. It is also extremely versatile, you can create matrix, summary and tabular reports depending on the nature of your data analytics and situational demand.

Cons: It can take some time to understand what data trend to pitch against what data trend, but once you figure out what data you want to use to analyse, it becomes a piece of cake to work with.

Overall: Precise Data Analytics.

Pros: The software is easy to use once implemented. Small changes in process are easy to implement, which was perfect for changes in sales process and customer management approaches change.

Cons: Customer service - our account was turned off and it took us a full 6 hours to find a person to speak to about our account. The invoice had been sent to a person no longer at the company. We lost productivity for almost a full day. I called to add new users, I spoke to three different people, before I found someone that could help me.

Pros: It is incredibly detailed. Aside from that it also integrates with 3rd party entities such as Ring Central and IFTTT.

I love how in-depth you can really go, you can pretty much document every aspect of your business with it. From employees, clients, plus more.

Cons: It is extremely expensive. I feel if the company would lower their prices that many other companies would be interested in using the service. I worked at a small ad agency several years ago and we used Salesforce. However we were eventually forced to terminate the service because of the high cost.

Overall: Too many to list. Salesforce keeps tabs on all clients, employees, phone calls, emails, plus more. It is remarkable.

Pros: I like the functionality, and the promise of more seamless integration with some of my other favorite tools. It is a robust set of tools and an active marketplace for integrations into any other part of an organization you can imagine. The new Lightning layout is a much-needed design upgrade that holds a lot of promise as well.

Cons: I've been using SalesForce for more than a decade. It's grown as a software and there is no doubt that they have listened to their clients on the need for more and bigger. My greatest complaint, however, has been unaddressed in the whole time I've been using it. For all of the customization and integration, ease of use remains an issue. I've been able to best many products in the marketplace, going from novice to pro at a faster than average pace. SalesForce is not a part of that group. Once something is figured out, documented, and instituted... just enough changes to either its core, or its relationship with the integration partner, that the process needs to start over. I get along with SF enough to not break up, but I am secretly holding out for a princess in shining armor to come and rescue me.

Overall: It is one of the few comprehensive solutions that has a marketplace for integrations that are actually useful to a growing company.

Pros: If implemented well, Salesforce is a real enablement tool - you can get exhaustive reports and it's easy to use from both a user and manager perspective. With an on-site support person trained well, it becomes a real force multiplier - freeing up time that can often be spent on exhaustive reiterations of reports by presenting this in a simple and intuitive way. Once you're used to the interface and the softwares way of doing things, it becomes very simple to use.

Cons: If you're NOT familiar with the software interface, Salesforce can be confusing and seem non-intuitive. Likewise, without a champion on site or at the end of a scree-sharing app, it's easy to get yourself in a mess. Also, if you don't have some of the modules but are used to them from other companies, the software and its capabilities can seem limited and frustrating

Overall: Instant reports on the health of the business and the key metrics of my reports, down to the individual deal level. Being able to review data live in an easily understandable way with users is priceless.

Pros: Every company has different needs and Salesforce can likely meet all of them. This software is almost infinitely customizable with a plethora of add-ons and integrations to other software tools. Despite all this, it's very easy to navigate and find the information you need to see. It tracks changes beautifully and this makes it simple for teams to collaborate. I also like how you can call customers directly from Salesforce. That fact that it's cloud-based means anyone can use it from anywhere, which is key if your customer-facing employees are spread out around the country or world.

Cons: It can be very challenging to set up properly. The front end interface is straightforward and anyone can learn to use, but only people with an IT background will be comfortable with configuring the back end. There are so many options and features that it can get confusing very quickly. I've had mixed results working with SF's customer support.

Overall: It totally revolutionized how we do business. Our customer-facing employees, consisting of sales, pre-sales and tech support, are spread all over the world and SF allows them to collaborate and work like we never have before.

Cons: There are 4 pricing plans with the most expensive giving you the ability to input more customer details and data which can be a big benefit for future marketing campaigns.

Overall: Greater target marketing campaigns and sales

Pros: The ease of navigation. If I need to find a case and don't have much to go off of but a few keywords, I can still likely find it with Salesforces filtering!

Cons: There are times when you need to use Salesforce from the app, on the go. The only negative I find is using this method it really is just a display tool. But even at that it's great for checking the details of a case when away from your desk for a quick review!

Pros: Salesforce is a good CRM tool. And so far its met our needs. This is the first time working with this product and we like that it¿s easy to use and very straightforward. The transition from the platform we used in prior years has been smooth. It¿s useful that you can set up reminders for follow-up. The google maps linked to the address field is a nice touch. Not sure we will have any use for it but helpful none the less.

Cons: Some of our contacts information were uploaded incorrectly. So some of our contacts ended up with someone else¿s email, address, and phone number. Unfortunately, you don¿t know who¿s information is wrong until you have to reach out to that contact and then discover that the information is someone else¿s contact info. Would have appreciated a thorough quality check. It would have helpful for someone to check the information and cross reference it for accuracy. We have had to go back and do a lot of fixing which is very time consuming. And considering the cost you expect to get accurate information.

My experience with Salesforce has been great.

Pros: Salesforce uses universal terms to define what you're working with to maximize compatibility with other software, that's super helpful. (i.e. opportunities, leads, contacts, accounts, etc.) There's also a ton of flexibility in how to use each feature, so that you can customize it to make sense to your particular sale and/or service. It's pretty intuitive as well, so it's easy to learn and teach and the customer support is extremely helpful.

Cons: If you don't have the right footing from the get-go b/c you literally have no idea where to start, then it can be difficult to change when you grow significantly.

Overall: It's so easy to organize who I'm trying to sell to, and who's already being sold to as well so that as a sales team we never step on each other's toes and irritates people off.

Cons: The interface is sometimes a little confusing for some of the new guys, but they're usually able to get up to speed fairly quickly.

Overall: It's been a big help to our sales team in turning leads into sales. It also helps to keep them organized, and helps keep management informed.

Salesforce has definitely increased my customer satisfaction rating.

Pros: I really like the way this software has helped me to grow my business. It's helped to increase my customer satisfaction rating and basically just made my business a better one.

Cons: I had to play around with it for a while before I really got the hang of it
Once I realized what was going on it helped me so much..

Overall: A better business.

Pros: Salesforce is easy to use - the functions work as expected and the learning curve for new users is minimal.

Cons: I don't have any complaints about the software; however, the aspect of Salesforce I like the least is their support. They are generally slow to respond and often take a significant amount of time to answer any questions or resolve any technical issues. I'm not at all impressed with their Support quality of service.

Overall: Ease of administration, rich knowledge base for both users and administrators, insignificant learning curve for new employees/users, real-time updates for data entry.

Pros: SalesForce is very comprehensive. There's many data points, and it's pretty much the industry standard, so everyone is familiar with it.

Cons: The thing that is difficult about SalesForce is that the user experience is tough. The main dilemma in the industry now is how to couple sales acceleration with SalesForce and there's a whole host of ways to solve for this.

Pros: It is powerful and easy to start using. It has the ability to allow me to customize just about anything within reason to fit my business processes.

Cons: Somethings that feel like they should be easy are not easy or requires custom coding in the Salesforce Classic environment.

Overall: Tracking leads, deals, and other information in one place.

Pros: The opportunity pipeline and being able to pull of excel reports. Also being able to update quickly the opportunity stage for a lead and all team members to see that weekly

Cons: Creating reports was not very self explanatory and confusing - not much support available on this as to how to create a report. There me were so many options!

Overall: We could follow sales leads from new opportunity to closed won easily and see exactly who has inputted last on that opportunity

Pros: Vast amount of tools and flexibility to customize the platform for a variety of CRM applications.
I like the many tabs and quick links to get to the most used areas.

Cons: Too complicated to use. The difficulty in finding and searching records is costly in time. The layout is not clean or intuitive in my opinion.
Also the necessary clicks to saved, adjust, edit or change an item is wasteful.

Salesforce is the BEST CRM platform I have ever used.

Pros: My all-time favorite feature is the marketing cloud. Within the marketing cloud, we manage our email automation, B2B & B2B consumer journeys, enhance our social media marketing and digital advertising as well as being able to manage our data within the platform. It allows us to track our results and then in return optimize our marketing efforts to better capitalize on consumers and businesses shopping journey. Since we also have an ecommerce presence, the commerce portion of Salesforce also is very helpful for our organization.

Cons: The cost of Salesforce can be excessive. For a larger business it makes sense but can also be pricey when you start to add in many different features but the cost can be a deterrence for many companies.

Our organization has been cleaning the data in SF up for years now. Still no end in sight.

Pros: It is customizable and integrates into many of our other systems and allows for creating a streamlined sales process. The idea of what this could potentially deliver is enticing.

Cons: It always points in time, it does not natively track history of accounts and contacts. When you have hierarchies, mergers, and acquisitions, that quickly becomes messy.
They do not make it an easy way to get your information out of it for analysis, or other purposes. They want you to use the canned tools which are very restrictive. I want to use the best tool for the job as it needs to integrate with other data. SF acts like its a standalone system.
Anything is possible, however, it requires unmaintainable custom coding that nobody wants to do or support. This makes this a good system if you're selling toasters, complexity requires sacrificing best practices to shove a square peg into a round hole called SF.
The system is useless unless populated with data, unfortunately, most IT dept just shove all known data into it, making it useless as the data is garbage.

I used Sale Force to ad in my sales of Corporate training, and did not love it.

Pros: The best thing about Sale's Force is that I could intergrate it with so many existing products and tools. They have done a great job getting their "widget" into so many markets

Cons: It was not easy to use. I found it overly complicated and too expensive for what I was suppose to be getting. Over time I found my self using it less and less because of how cumbersome it was.

Overall: Can intergrate with lots of other products.

Pros: My favorite part about Salesforce is it's user friendliness. Whenever I need a report to review, additional add-on, or just browsing leads the system finds what I'm looking for every time without hiccups.

Cons: Sometimes when looking for specific contacts and leads using "*" it only pulls up the company name and not the url unless designated in the search bar. This has caused some touch issues on the sales floor when sdrs or aes are scrubbing leads using the company name and not url. Basically, some companies will appear clean searching with the name instead of url respectively.

Overall: Fast lead generation, report pulling, lead tracking, opp/pipeline management, and several other daily uses to process quotes

Pros: This product through my experience is one of the most powerful tools on the market, the versatility is second to none. The customizability is one of the greatest assets to this product, second is its reporting.

Cons: This first time user is sometimes overwhelmed but after some training and hands on experience most users pick the software up with ease.

Overall: This product in my past experiences has been a great asset, it can be an expense for a small business but for an enterprise environment, it is well worse the cost.

Pros: SalesForce contains a tremendous number of features and functionality that make donor tracking almost limitless. The ability to create and cultivate detailed historical records is invaluable and has been a great asset during times of transition within our agency.

Cons: The overwhelming breadth of features and reportable fields makes the experience feel cumbersome at times. It creates a very high learning curve for new users, making it difficult for new employees to hit the ground running without having used SalesForce before.

Overall: - Improved donor tracking
- Improved gift tracking
- Extensive profiles on future donors
- Consistent communication with new leads
