Pros: Software has some interesting features, but not all were useful to our organization. Best pro: it's very easy to maintain a decent looking public facing website. Email marketing tools are excellent.

Cons: After the initial six-week set up, we were pretty much left to the wolves. We hired one of their recommended consultants to help us prepare our database for implementation to the system, but our dues schedule was too complex to be completely integrated, so we were forced to maintain two databases (one for membership services and communications, and the other for financials -- not an ideal setup, to say the least, but we were too far in to quit). Due to the difficulty for obtaining quick support solutions, our staff never fully bought in. Dealing with YM's customer support was always was hit or miss -- it really depends on your issue and which YM support member you reach. This isn't easy to control. To obtain support, you must create a ticket, which is prioritized by the company's support team , who then answers in order and/or importance. Answers to questions can take 48 hours, which is frustrating. The upshot for our organization is that we ditched YM after 3 years. On top of all that, the cancellation process was a bit murky as well, and we were even charged several months after we moved on to another AMS. Some of the blame for that was on us, but YM certainly didn't help clear the waters with the cancellation process. Overall, I can not recommend this software provider.

Pros: Once set up, extremely easy to use. The membership directory is a lifesaver as well as online event registration.

Cons: Getting this setup was extremely difficult and timely. However the support team was helpful. Once in a while there are some issues with software not working or the YM system will go down altogether but they are quick to respond.

Pros: It is easy to download lists that you need of your clients or members, that is about the only thing that I like about it

Cons: I do not like the support team. I put in a ticket almost 24 hours ago and haven't heard anything back. Any time that I call I get sent to a voicemail. My company has been with them since 2012 and paid 7K a year but when I need to change the look they want 2.5K more. We are a non profit and are on a much smaller budget so this is alot. As soon as my board approves it I will be taking my business to another company. If you are a large company that needs many bells and whistles then they might work for you but we don't and it makes navigation so hard. It was easier to create a new website through Wix and send a newsletter through their platform than to send something through your membership. I'm sure that for some companies this is what they need but if you are a small business or non profit there are much better options out there like Alumni360, Memberclicks, Member 365 and others

Overall: I have yet to see benefits from this software that I can't get somewhere else. Granted it keeps track of all of my members but so do other software companies

Product is one of the best and just keeps getting better and better

Overall: I have been using YourMembership for over 5 years and have multiple clients in the AMS. The software is affordable and I love that they are rolling out improvements and updates regularly. You don't have to pay for "upgrades" and you are always on the latest version. Lots of robust functionality and 98% of the features I need and want. We did $4M in event registrations for my chapters through YM last year with no fuss and it handles registration for my annual meeting as well. Almost everything I could want for my association.

Comments: We use this as an association and have found our membership rates jump due to the resources, online registration for membership and events, as well as the design of this platform.

They let you design your website from scratch on the front-end. This allows you to make your site unique and fit your needs. Their customer support is all-around amazing. They do weekly calls with you during the implementation process.

On the back-end, you can track registration of events, check membership and edit the front-end.

Comments: I've been using Your Membership for about 18 months for one of my association clients. I have found that it is very easy to use and the customer service is fast and helpful. I've been able to produce clear membership reports for my Board, quickly set up and manage events and send blast communications. They continue to improve their product based on customer feedback. Although there are a few features I wish they had, I have been impressed overall with YourMembership. I have used over five other AMS platforms and this has been my favorite so far.

Your Membership has taken our organization to another level, and that's a good thing!

Comments: We didn't realize how much we would need to be involved in setting up the website design in the beginning, but that enabled us to learn a lot about website development. Perhaps more than we wanted to know. However, as time progresses, have gotten comfortable with the functionality; we utilize more features and find that we are able to tailor many of the membership management features to the unique ways in which we operate.

We started this without having anyone with prior knowledge or expertise in website development and varied levels of comfort and experience with software utilization. If your agency employs or contracts with a techie type, you will most likely avoid our startup hiccups. In either case, there is no better customer service than YM. They are available and responsive by phone, email, video tutorials and downloadable guides. I've also found that unique situations are forwarded to product development so the functionality is updated on an ongoing basis.

Oh, and if you use Quickbooks, the two sync well. Haven't tried the plug-ins yet because they are a little costly for us but there is a Quickbooks plug-in and a mobile app interface for conferences and events that also has perfect synchronization with the member/non-member database.

Comments: I am the kind of user who can learn a bit from webinars but nothing really clicks until I need to use the system and Your Membership's support system has been excellent in helping set things up and evaluate what I've done. They call quickly once I've entered a ticket and continue support until I'm satisfied, not when they think I should be satisfied.

Comments: I've been through nightmare implementations. They are always hard and some surprise you didn't plan for comes up. In my experience vendors bail or charge you unexpectedly high fees when you don't prepare for something you should have. That has not been my experience with YM. The Service is great and the implementation support was an inclusive team approach that was invaluable. The features and software are really robust and work very well. I still can't believe how much is included. Wow!

Comments: I have been working with YourMembership for over a year. I have a vey good working knowledge of web sites and web construction and design but sometimes, I get stuck. The support from the people at YourMemebrship never fail to get me where I need to be. They are patient and competent. The great support is always appreciated.

Comments: I've been working with YM for a little over three years now. I like the product. YM is a little difficult to learn but YM has a great customer service department. The afternoon live training sessions are great for getting answers quickly. Thank you for all of your support!

My favorite part about this software is the great Customer Service staff.

Comments: Between the live webinars, video tutorials and customer support this software was fairly simple to learn how to use. My favorite thing about YourMembership.com is the people who they have on staff. They have made my experience with YM.com quite positive. They respond to my support requests quickly and have shown me a lot of things I wasn't aware the software was capable of doing.

Comments: ARCSI has used YM since 2008 as our member management system. It provides us with a number of detail reports and actions. We have stayed with YM because of their outstanding customer service. Whenever we do have a question their responses are always very prompt and thorough. Both customer service reps and technical advisers quickly understand the issue and spend the necessary time to walk us through and resolve the issue.

Comments: Several months ago Yourmembership moved to a new customer support platform. And I have to say, as is often the case with new things, I was not too excited about the change.

My firm provides support and programming to a few dozen Yourmembership.com users, so I am in the support area and interacting with YM staff continually. So any change was initially inconvenient. But I have become a believer. The ease of use of the new site is great. I can access all my tickets from a single log in, etc.

But even better is the incredible responsiveness and support provided by the YM team. They respond immediately, they dig in and stay with issues until they are resolved and provide a hive level of personal interaction and individual support. Most support makes it almost impossible to get anyone on the phone. YM calls me! They are without question the best customer support team I work with in the industry.

Comments: I was hired by a local state college to redesign and manage an alumni eNews using their YourMembership account. The software is adaptive and relatively easy to learn. However, what sets YourMembership apart from other eNews services is customer service. When I submit requests for help, response time is remarkably fast via both e-mail and phone. Tech specialists are knowledgeable, cheerful, patient, and go the extra mile to solve the problem. I've worked with several eNews services with good tech support, but the YourMembership team is exceptional ... the best.

Comments: I am in the process of migrating our custom-build database over to YM. Though the person I have been working with has been great in "quick" responses, he usually only answers half my questions and I spend way too much time monitoring what Q's have been answered and what hasn't. The answers feel like 'canned' prewritten answers that don't always fit what I am askign either. I feel like YM did not do a good job of going over what I needed to do on my end to make everything work so that I get a final product I want and need. Also, I find that YM misses little things when they set up things on their end of for me (miss a checkbox here and there). Very disappointing. I was hoping for better customer service than this.

Comments: We are in the process of migrating to YM and I will say that so far, I'm pleased with the new capabilities YM offers. In addition to the obvious interactive options (via the social media strategies that are available to members) we have MUCH more flexibility in how we approach our business - and that is a GOOD thing!

Comments: We are only in the early stages of migrating to YourMembership.com, and I am already a "Product Evangelist"! This is an incredible product that is easy to use, robust and adaptable. Part of the package is a wealth of useful how-to-videos and tutorials, and frequent training seminars (both live, and pre-recorded). All are well done, and I highly recommend watching them or jumping onto a training seminar as early as you can once you elect to go with YM. The administrative back end of YM is easily accessible on any web browser, and works great on both iPhone & iPad. My only "cons" (very minor) is that you must use their approved payment processor for credit card transactions, and the QuickBooks Interface doesn't work with MAC or QuickBooks cloud. Already a terrific product, there is even more yet to come.

Comments: There are a great many things that I really appreciate about the YourMembership platform.

There are a ton of features at your fingertips that can benefit your association that you probably hadn't thought of or previously hadn't had the ability to facilitate. Career Centers and integrated Blog and Forum platforms to Merchant Services and Event Management all residing in one space make it hard to argue that you were doing it all just as well before.

I'm not exactly an novice to website design and appreciate coding without a WYSIWYG editor, (What You See Is What You Get) but the ease of use for someone who has had limited exposure to website administration should be able to get the hang of things pretty quickly.

On the downside, YourMembership is a newer platform and still has some wrinkles. The team over there is definitely working to iron them out, but every once in a while you'll hit on something that hasn't been addressed before and there isn't currently a fix for it. Going into it though, you should probably expect that from a platform that is designed to be everything for everyone. Everyone has certain ways they like to do things or ideas on how things should be done, and at times, the YM platform has its own ideas and ways that you then have to adapt to accommodate.
So in conclusion, YourMembership has been a wonderful experience so far. We're an Association Management Company and handle multiple organizations so we have thrown all sorts of problems at YourMembership, and they've fielded all but the most finicky with relative ease and minimal cost. The individuals that I've interacted with have all been attentive, friendly and eager to help out. All that and they are constantly evolving with new feature pushes, better solutions for common problems and frequent fixes that keep everything feeling fresh and a bit exciting (that sounds lame and nerdy, but when a cool new feature comes out, I have a tendency to check it out right away). From switching between no less than 4 CMS platforms, 3 event management tools, and 3 Merchant Solutions providers to get things done, to only having to fiddle in YourMembership has been a huge sigh of relief. YourMembership has been good to us so far and I'd recommend giving it a go without hesitation.

Comments: I found this service to be highly expensive for the features it offers. Unlike the aforementioned review, I did find the interface to be cumbersome and difficult for our staff to learn. There are tons of menus to navigate through and the menu items were not named in user-friendly terms. We only kept our site for a year because we were under contract. After using it only a few months we were already searching for something better. The consultant that we were assigned to was very nice but there was no way she could make the interface easier to use. When we initially signed up for the service we also ordered the moble app for access to the site. It took NINE months for this to be developed and it was designed by an independent developer. We were not given direct access to the app developer so all communications were handled through YourMembership. We had no way to inquire what the hold up was and all we kept receiving from YM was excuses. When the app was released it only provided limited functionality so users could not access all areas of the service. I could not recommend YM to anyone.

Pros: The public website is lovely, looks great, not difficult to use and maintain

Cons: The actual membership functions leave a LOT to be desired for this kind of money. First of all, there is no capability AT ALL for membership NUMBERS to be added. Then, the family membership function is combersome and almost a joke in terms of how one gets family members into the system. It's more work than our old manual method. Finally, there is no way to get printed membership cards to the member. After months of wrangling, we're shopping for a new system. Don't waste your time unless you need none of the above.

Overall: If you are a social org only, this is the product for you, but if you are a physical organization with physical property, keep looking.
