Comments: I just looked at their on screen demo, they have a big screen but little tiny font printing, about 6.5. I don't need glasses for reading but I would to read their screen. It is great to be young and have good eyes but we all get older if we are lucky, hopefully you choose as vender that will take care of you into your later years in practice.

Recommendations to other buyers: Using the plus and minus buttons is not an answer. I have the same problem with my current Chiro software vender, that was their answer and that is why I am looking around.

Comments: I just shifted from Chirotouch($13,000) to SOAPe($395) because I experienced SOAPe is more excellent, organized, and stable than the Giant system.
That is all.
This SOAPe software DOES do the job as being supposed to do.
One more thing I can say is that I found SOAPe motivating me to do the boring paper work just because of its excellently organized stability!!

Comments: Starting out, the full price of EHR is absurd. I've tried some of the other free programs, and couldn't stand the layout. This program, though it has flaws, is a solid program that has helped get my office going strong. I would recommend going with the network option rather than the single computer, you can have a computer at the front desk to do appointments and do billing, one in the office for exams/soaps, and if you want, you can even have one for patients to take assessments on.

My hopes are that they can develop an app for this that does simple intakes and assessments. If that happened, they would effectively get rid of all paperwork needed unless you want to do paper billing. If they do that, I wouldn't be tempted to go with anyone else in the future.

Comments: I started using this in my office and I couldn't be happier! Produces an amazing SOAP note, and has all the bells and whistles that the other, more expensive companies have. It's a no brainer! The most affordable and easy to use EHR system I've encountered. Highly Recommended!!

Comments: I t is just a gift for such money. It took few or more hours to understand the system, there is a short support video on YouTube, just watch it and stop complain,nothing is perfect in this life.So,thank you very much guys,you make our life easy.

Comments: I don't know what these other docs are talking about, (most of the reviews look really old). I am an office manager working for a Chiropractor and I have been using SOAPe for a couple weeks now and I love it! The home scheduling screen is easy to view the day and call on missed appointments and such and printing claims is really easy too. One really nice feature is that we don't need to purchase HCFA forms anymore. I mean this program does everything we need and we can't believe it's only $349. Support could be better because they have no phone number yet, but their support team gets back to your pretty quick when you submit a help ticket.

Comments: I chose this software out of desperation when opening an office with almost nothing. I've had issues here and there, unexplained errors, glitches and every upgrade has cost me additional in tech support because they always manage to "forget" one very important step in the upgrade instructions. But the fact that they are not providing an ICD-10 upgrades is ridiculous. Every insurance company requires this and those of us who have used their service for years are left with useless software. It's pretty shady that they even offer this software for purchase.

Comments: The functionality of this software is mediocre. That really is the only nice thing I have to say about it. They say this software is free, but it really isn't. You have to pay an activation fee (and not a small amount), and that's per computer not per license. If you buy a new computer you have to pay the activation fee again. We just bought a new computer and went to activate the software but right now their site is down because someone hacked it so we can't get the product activated until their site gets reactivated which will be who knows when. Overall my experience has not been a great one with this company. I opened my own practice about a year and a half ago and got this software because it was "free." If I could go back I would have just put out a little more money and gotten something a little more functional with some actual tech support that knows what they are doing and speak English.

Dr. Jeff, You say the functionality of this software is mediocre. Tell me, what more does a chiropractor need to run a practice from a EHR other than to be able to schedule, do a SOAP note, Bill electronically, perform online real time eligibility checking, handle all paperwork in EHR form? I would say the functionality is there in robust form. True, SOAPe did say they were free but that has been removed. Truth is we used to offer a FREE program, the current version however is ONLY $349!!! $349 for everything you could need. We think, i'm sorry, we know, that this is the best program on the market for under $400. We are dedicated to providing this profession of ours the best software for under $400 and we have done that. Of course there are always going to be people that have negative things to say, but still, we are confident in our product and we know we are 100% fair with the fees we request for the work we have done to give our fellow chiropractors a great program

Comments: I began my career as a chiropractor in 2013 and have used SOAPe for a year now and love it. It's now $349 to activate and you own it for life. Chirotouch and other big name companies offer support sure but you sure do pay for it with these thousand dollar companies out there.

SOAPe somehow continues to stay current with their product with the new HCFA form changes and ICD-10 and I know they can't be a big operation with charging so little. I know software development can't be cheap.

Look else where unless you plan on spending a LOT of time & money on technical problems

Comments: The GOOD: Made for DCs, templates for notes; orthopedic tests, subluxation, diagnosis codes, etc. A new patient/exam takes about 10-15 minutes input, but follow-up visits take me 2-5 minutes. And cheap compared to many other programs!

The BAD: I only use the software for taking notes, but even that has been a headache. I really am not THAT bad at using computers (I built my own website, blog, etc) and I have experience with other software, but I was surprised at how hard this one is to use. I would tell anyone to basically plan on paying their technical support to help; I've only had it for 4 months and have had to hire someone twice - the second time was a guy from Soape that even admitted to me that the free videos wouldn't give me the information to update the new version and that it was Soape's fault (to their credit, they paid for it, but this was after waiting about 3 weeks during a software glitch and many angry emails back and forth). Also, I thought the data was saving oddly, but I kept getting a message that said that the backup was successful, which is what the free video says will happen. After attempting to do their upgrade from a previously unusable version, I found out it was not backed up and I lost EVERYTHING. I'm so glad I only had my SOAP notes in Soape!! I use a separate register to collect money and scheduling company and that totally saved me to figure out who came in when and input EVERYTHING back in. I'm not kidding, I have a small private practice: 3-4 days a week that was only open for like 3 months at this time, and it still took me almost 20 hours to just re-do all the notes. I was LIVID. And there is no way to get a refund - even at a time that I couldn't even access my notes. Really, I'm no drama-queen, but when I explained the whole saga and even showed some people the emails written back and forth, people couldn't believe it was real. Opening a practice is tough, and I can honestly say that Soape has been one of the worst parts. But, it has only been 4 months and I'd already dropped $350 on the program and another $100 on IT support, and for such a small cash practice, $450 is a lot. I have warned other DCs against it, but I will stick with it and hope for the best until it either improves or I can afford something better. I recommend looking else where unless you want to budget a LOT of time and money into technical problems.

Pros: Decided to try out soape platinum software after a recommendation from a colleague. Has all the features offered by other companies minus the huge price tag. There is a $195 activation fee but no other mandatory fees. I didn't opt for the support and found the free resources adequate.

Cons: Would be nice if live support was included at no cost.

Overall: Would highly recommend soape platinum to anyone looking for practice management software.

We simply do not profit much, but wanted to give chiropractors the most cost effective way to manage their office. At this budget we simply cannot offer FREE support as doing so costs us money and there simply isnt' that much cash flow to make that possible. We have been working extremely hard to stay on top with updates and such - these things cost a lot of money. Thank you for your understanding!

Pros: Ease of use; low cost (free); makes reporting simple and fast; also does scheduling and reporting; fast support response.

Cons: They say it's free but there is a setup & activation charge of $125.

Overall: I've been using SOAPE for about 3 weeks now and love it. Very easy to learn and use. It has everything I need including a scheduler that sends out auto reminders, a report generator that knocks out detailed notes in a few seconds and a billing/claims module. I highly recommend SOAPE to anyone looking to save money and improve the efficiency of their practice. I was told by a staff member that they are working on moving the system to a cloud based system which would be great.

Pros: Free practice management software that would otherwise cost thousands of dollars. Easy to use if you're somewhat computer literate. Does scheduling, reports and billing. Fast & friendly support staff.

Cons: Could use a few more "bells & whistles" per say.

Overall: I came across SOAPe Platinum at the recommendation of a colleague. After a small glitch during installation, I was up and running. It took me a couple hours to learn the program. I found their online video tutorials very helpful. I would highly recommend SOAPe Platinum to anyone looking for a solid practice management program that has all the essentials to run a practice.

They do charge for support, but that's no surprise..most companies do. I did opt for a support plan and found their staff very attentive to my requests and needs.

Pros: Free product. Easy to use.

Cons: Support is extra cost. Electronic billing is also extra cost each month.

Overall: Not a bad product considering that it's free. Has all the basic functionality you would expect and need from a practice management software. I hope they continue to improve on the product as it has a lot of potential. Also hope that they continue to offer it at no cost.

Dr. Marie, thank you for your excellent review! We appreciate that! We have been doing ALOT of updates to make this program the BEST for the money. Unfortunately, since we charge so little support has to be extra. Billing is through Emdeon and they charge for that, we do not. You see, other companies may tell you that they include billing, but your paying for it in one way or another with their high fees and charges.

Pros: Free practice management software. Offers scheduling, documentation and billing capabilities. Easy to use. Online support is excellent. Love that it's free.

Cons: Support is only offered for those with paid plans. Noticed some minor bugs in the reporting module.

Overall: Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a complete practice management software solution who doesn't have thousands of dollars to spend.
