Pros: Touchpoint has so many features that are so helpful. You can run a search for so many different parameters to really discover people that may be slipping through the cracks of the ministries of your church.

Cons: The only negative is that some of the features can sometimes be difficult for some people to understand how to use them.

I love the capabilities but the interface is so unfriendly.

Cons: So hard to figure out stuff. It took me and my secretary all morning to try and print out one report. I am pretty tech savy.

Comments: We love the system. It does a ton for us. With that said, I feel like there are a ton of features that we are not currently using and getting the most out of the system, which is why I gave the ease of use such a low score. Unless you know exactly what you are looking for it is not very intuitive to navigate through the system and figure things out on your own.

Pros: Intuitive
Easy to use
Great support and customer service
Mobile adaptive interface
Frequent software updates and improvements

Overall: Our church transitioned to TouchPoint almost 6 years ago, and it is unequivocally the best administrative and ministry tool that our staff, church leaders, and members use daily. Likewise, members and guests benefit from the custom branded TouchPoint app, online giving and event registrations.

They have created a church management system with a high level of functionality while maintaining an intuitive and easy to use interface. We couldn¿t be happier with TouchPoint from the outstanding customer service to the well thought out design and functionality.

We use almost every aspect of the software: attendance tracking, member & guest assimilation, mass email, mass SMS texting, event registrations, mission trip registrations, online giving, custom branded app, walk-up check-in, and more. It is truly a software that will meet every demand of the modern church.

One of the biggest improvements that TouchPoint made in the last few years was the transition to the mobile adaptive platform. In other words, it works beautifully on your mobile device.

As the Director of IT and systems administrator, customer service and support are indispensable resources I often depend on, and this is where TouchPoint really shines. They use an email based support system and they are quick to respond and provide solutions. And when you point out a problem, the dev team is quick to fix it. They offer the best customer service and support of all the vendors I use. Likewise, the support documentation is fantastic and always up-to-date. In fact, I did all my training using the documentation and video tutorials before we deployed it to our staff.

One of the best things about TouchPoint, they are always activity developing to improve and enhance the software. You don¿t have to wait 6 months for new features and updates. They frequently push out improvements on a weekly basis.

If you are a church looking for an CMS solution, look no further. Setup your demo with TouchPoint today¿you won¿t regret it!

Comments: I have been using Touchpoint for about 1 year. I feel that I still have many things to learn about it. It was a very easy to learn the basics of Touchpoint. Customer Support is excellent! Since I am still learning how to use Touchpoint, I have contacted them on several occasions. The response time is amazing and they are always able to address any issue I have! I do wish that there was a complete online training manual that I could download. I do use Touchpoint's documentation site and videos often, and the information is very helpful. I would love to have all of this information in a document that I could download once. Thank you!

Comments: I use TouchPoint pretty much every day. Most functions are easy to find and use. Some functions that are used less often, I have to search for a bit. It helps me find a member and their contact information quickly. It allows us to access many different reports. It's great to be able to send emails to just a small group or the entire church. I like that we can run background checks directly from TouchPoint. I definitely recommend TouchPoint.

Pros: Like the look of the system. The app is very helpful. The check in system has been the highlight for us.

Cons: I work with Downline and Harvest. Hard to go back and forth, but I know that is not a common thing. Some things are very userfriendly. I have had to work to learn a few other things like tagging, but with the help of staff and articles, I am getting there.

Overall: I really enjoy the look of the system. It has helped us improve our check-in system! For me, there is a learning curve for how to process certain things but the staff has been very helpful and once I get it the first time, I am good to go!

Highly highly highly recommend TouchPoint as it is allows us to DISCIPLE our database.

Pros: Portability: I can access from where ever I am at.

Cons: Not intuitive and cannot get church members motivated to access their profiles themselves. Perhaps because its another login they have to remember.

Overall: I use this system weekly to assist the pastor in recording giving records. I do not use it daily or for a majority of its other functions so I don't know that I can give an informed review. However, I use a variety of software applications and can always find myself a way around them whereas with this one I find it much more difficult to locate the information I need. Not to mention the difficulty everyone on staff has had on keeping congregants informed of their giving history. I cannot give a rating for value or customer support as I am not familiar with the cost or have utilized support.

Recommendations to other buyers: If members could login with Google or Facebook they might be more likely to update their profile and check their giving online.

Cons: Lack of report printing capability. Slows down my data entry because the screen moves when you enter a record.

Overall: Having used several different database type software over the years, Touchpoint is OK, but not the greatest. I use it for financial data entry and the screen jumps around during entry so you have to chase it down with the mouse. You also cannot print reports of weekly giving for your records. I have to copy the report on the screen, then paste into Word to have a report that I can e-mail to my pastor of the weekly offering.

Pros: Everything you could want is there.

Cons: There are many options (within menus etc) that I cannot figure out (instinctively) how to use or why it is there. Ease of use is compromised.

Overall: Although there are many functions and features that we don't use, simply because we are a small church (and we are not in the US which makes all those helpful TAX and Giving functions redundant) everything we have ever needed/wanted is there! It is not that easy to figure out how to use and the interface can be a bit overwhelming, but there is always (a lot of) help when you need it! Put in other words: I haven't found it necessary to inquire about many of the things you see (almost cluttering) the interface, but whenever I did have a question I could easily find the answer.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you did have the time to COMPLETELY figure out why things go where they do, it would be the best software out there!

Comments: I have enjoyed using the software as well as working with the support team at TouchPoint. I am new to the administrative field in church and did not have previous experience working with other church software. It was a challenge initially for me to understand all the benefits to the church and ministry but I love the features and quality of the software. The support team as been exceptional in both timely responses and quality responses also. I found their help documentation to be very helpful and thorough, with reasonable accuracy in the ever changing industry. They did have an intro training which I appreciated. My only suggestion would to be to include a training for younger/smaller churches such as ours that emphasizes the ministry tools and applications that could benefit the client. Though we have been able to figure out much as we have gone along through the support documentation and staff, as well as getting familiar with the software. Again though, as a younger church, the utilization of the software is smaller initially and thus creates a longer learning curve. I have found the software to be of value as well. The cost has increased during our time of business, and I have found other options that are more economical for a younger church, however, the interface leaves something to be desired. Overall, I have enjoyed working with both the software and the staff.

Moving our records into the cloud and, simultaneously, making them accessible from anywhere literally changed the way we coordinate people and manage our organization. The integrated and personalized app allowed us to brand and market our new website, our events, and our entire ministry program in a whole new way. TouchPoint's easy to use and extremely insightful, and I'm thankful for what we've been able to accomplish through it.

Pros: Being able to enter contributions

Cons: Not very user friendly when it comes to learning how to use some of the other features of the program that I'm not familiar with.

Overall: I will start by saying I am not the main user of our touchpoint program but I do use part of the touchpoint features quite often. I do the bookkeeping so I mainly deal with the financial side of things which I will say are pretty easy to do with this program. The only thing I wish it would do differently is entering a person's contributions all at one time without having to reenter the name or number of the person to put a different amount in a separate category. Everything else for me is pretty easy I guess. I will say it is hard to print reports off for the bank when you are getting a loan to build (10 highest giving members for last year and year before last). Anyway there are always things that need improvement when it comes to programs but I will say that overall I really like TouchPoint and the convenience it gives when I need to look someone up and can just touch the address and it gets me straight to the map to get me there. I would and have recommended this program to other churches.

Recommendations to other buyers: Maybe make it a little more user friendly and easier to navigate.

Overall: Our church migrated from an old, unwieldy Windows-based system to TouchPoint about 18 months ago. I love the anywhere access that TP's cloud-based system gives us. It's super user-friendly, and the reports I can get out of it are excellent, all of which I can download to Excel at the click of a button. The documentation is some of the best I've ever seen in the software industry, which I've worked in for 20 years. The customer support is generally quite responsive, getting you the answers you need right away on how to do something, or whether something is possible. I do wish there were a way to find out whether a new feature request was going to be worked on, and if so, a future release date. Overall, I'd recommend this product to any church looking to change or upgrade their contribution management system.

Comments: I've worked with a few database/management systems and this is my favorite so far. The only thing that would make this better for what I do is to have a way to manage privacy settings to hide certain info from lay leaders. The support is fantastic. Customer support representative are always very helpful.

Cons: Not knowing the many other things that it can do. Some on-site training (free) would be awesome!

Pros: Cloud-based. Covers our major needs as our church management system. Reasonable pricing. Have never had an outage where the system was unavailable.

Cons: Would like greater level of control when delegating access rights to ministry leaders.

Overall: Have been a TouchPoint customer for 3 years. We use the system to maintain contact information on all of our families and guests; maintain contribution data for end-of-year tax statements; online giving; mass email and text messaging capabilities; and online registratation. We have also extended usage of the tool beyond our church office staff to deacons and other ministry leaders. The TouchPoint team helped us to migrate our data from our legacy church management solution (ServantKeeper) and has been very responsive whenever we have had a question, problem or a suggestion on how to improve the product. Would recommend that any church looking for a cloud-based church management system series consider use of TouchPoint

Recommendations to other buyers: TouchPoint has excellent online help and videos with instructions on how to use features. They also are very good at taking ideas from their user community and adding them to the system.

Comments: I find the software not very intuitive. Have tried to get others to use, but they find too difficult. It seems to take quite a bit of learning to get up to speed on what the software can do. Some of the help articles have been great. Others haven't helped. I don't know how much they paid for the software so can't respond to the value question.

Pros: I use the mobile app most and love it.
We like the video tutorials.
We are just scratching the surface with our usage, but see great benefit in check-in applicaiton & ipad attendance.

Overall: Touchpoint has been an incredible tool for our church and our ministry. From creating reports, tracking attendance, to communicating with our people, touchpoint helps us to leverage information for more effective and efficient ministry. The Touchpoint App has also been an indispensable resource for quick access to information on the go!

Recommendations to other buyers: We would love to add some of the personalized features of the mobile app, but it is cost prohibitive. Annual Amount is just too much for us.

Pros: I love that we can enter in as many prospect contacts as we need to without being charged per record. This is huge for us as a small rural church of under 100. Another benefit is that our Connection Group teachers can take attendance right on the mobile app. Since we have no church secretary, this is a great help in getting our records in and keeping them up to date.

Cons: I do wish that texting was integrated into the system rather than having to use a 3rd party service. I also would love to see some kind of implementation with Facebook posting, particularly when advertising special events. The scheduling calendar--while a great help with scheduling our nursery workers--needs an update.

Overall: As a small rural church, TouchPoint has helped us better track our guests and make follow-up connections and the mobile app makes taking attendance in our Connection Groups super easy. And the customer support is fast and very helpful.

Recommendations to other buyers: I am sure I could come up with several ideas, but, since we are a small church, I would love to see lower pricing geared for smaller ministries. But please don't offer a lower price and then extremely limit the number of records you can enter (what most other companies do).

Overall: We have found TouchPoint to be the "best bang for our buck." We have tried and looked into other software and TouchPoint works best for us. The price is reasonable and it does most everything we need. There are some things that do not fit our church, however, they are continuing to update. Customer service is second to none!

Pros: Features - some of the Best I have experienced

Cons: They do not have an Account Financial System integrated into Touchpoint. I use Quick Books for my accounting so I have to input my financials (Tithes, Mission Trips, etc). from Touchpoint to Quick Books.

Overall: I have used several other Member Management Softwares/Systems over the years and TouchPoint is the most user-friendly one I have experienced. The Annual Cost is surprisingly low compared to the tremendous features they offer. Before switching to BVCMS, which become TouchPoint, I was on the lookout for a system that would be more affordable for our Satellite Campus, yet offered the same features I was used to from the expensive Software/System. I was surprised at their cost then even more pleasantly surprised at the features they offered. I have recommended TouchPoint to many other Ministry Assistants as a system that is "worth the time to switch over to" due to the ease of use for them AND THEIR VOLUNTEERS. It is one of the very best I have experienced.

Recommendations to other buyers: Your Phone App needs to offer more for the Administrative Assistant. It is geared 100% toward our volunteers (which is what I believe it was designed for initially) and when I need more information or more access I have to log in through the website to get the full features. Many times during ministry I need more access than the app offers and it is time consuming to log into the website from my phone (not to mention the website is NOT designed for mobile browsing. The Desk-top version is the best but the Mobile version needs lots of work, please.

Pros: Just every possible scenario is covered. Very powerful.

Cons: My two contacts with customer support did not provide the answers I needed. I had to ask a previous employee here at our organiztion how to use TouchPoint to solve my problem.

Overall: I'm a new Ministry Assistant at my church. I love how powerful TouchPoint is in helping us keep track of our members and our ministry to them. I wish there was some sort of beginners tutorial that touches on highlights of the many, many functions. I still don't know how to use tags, but it looks like it would be really helpful. I appreciate the email updates, but never had a proper beginner's tutorial.

It has taken our church over a year to feel comforatible enough with the software to really start using it and the ministry leaders still don't feel comfortable enough to track things in it so we have a few experts do the data entry.

Cons: They provide plenty of free training to get you started. They answer any and all questions. I would like to have a little more training at a more affordable cost. At least offer more in-depth and a broad range of videos for training.

Overall: TouchPoint enabled our church to become more faithful in nearly every aspect of ministry. Our church has always struggled with keeping up with people, to be honest. Since starting to use TouchPoint, we have increased our faithfulness to track and "keep up" with our people. The functionality and ease of use with the software are incredible. The customer service has been unparalleled beginning with the endless questions we had, to training, and through problem-solving. It is adaptable to our ministry and needs. Each month we discover and use more and more of the available capabilities of the software. I'm so thankful for the ministry of TouchPoint. Without their commitment to providing a quality program at an affordable price regardless of the size of the church's ministry, we would still be struggling to track and love our people effectively and efficiently.

Overall: The overall experience was good, but the system was just too complicated to get set up for a check in station. Even after it was explained to me it took too much hardware and if one piece did not work then all of the system went down. Pros: It's user-friendliness

Cons: Because it offers so much, it can be overwhelming. The nature of my job does not allow for the time needed to really explore all the ins and outs of TouchPoint. I feel that flying by the seat of my pants to meet deadlines hinders a much more effective use of the software.

Overall: Coming from a background of public education to working as a church ministry assistant was challenging. Initially, TouchPoint was very intimidating, particularly because I received NO TRAINING. However, my learn-as-you-go experience became less intimidating as I noticed the user-friendliness of the software. It offers so much! Several of my tasks are a lot easier and take much less time because of the many offerings of TouchPoint.

Pros: Flexibility, ease of use, cost, customer service, continued upgrades and features

Cons: Mobile features are still limited and sometimes difficult (but I expect it will be improving, as your product always does!); some features assume understanding by the user but aren't clear. I hit a few little glitches due to our small church needing specialized features for our events which don't exist in TouchPoint, or that I in my ignorance I am not aware of. I agree it's often user error. :)

Overall: With no database background, I was given the duty to oversee our church's database. When we signed up for TouchPoint, any concerns were calmed by the personal training given from the start, along with excellent, courteous, kind and prompt assistance whenever I need to contact customer support. We are blessed with the upgrades, also. When someone wants to add a new feature, all of us receive the same benefit. We know we are getting a quality database which allows our church to function like one with a huge administrative staff when really it is just TouchPoint giving us the technology to achieve the goal of knowing our congregation and reaching them with information.

Recommendations to other buyers: It would be nice to have an area to give suggestions without it necessarily going through the support team and requiring them to respond. Or see what others have suggested and be able to "vote" that a feature would also be helpful to us.

Cons: So clunky and not intuitive. Very difficult to input same sex couples, couples with dashes in their names, etc. Very gender conservative in ways that are unnecessary in today's culture and which make more work than necessary for something as simple as giving statements or address labels.

Pros: User friendly and addresses all the unique needs of a church

Cons: On a few very rare occassions, it would be nice to have a bit more control over customization of things like ... entry points .... the software comes with some areas pre-populated with items that were unique to the founders denomination (membership trac, etc) that we'd sometimes like to delete as our class track or names of ministries are different. Usually, we can add those ... but can't always delete the pre-populated options

Overall: We researched a lot of options and decided to go with TouchPoint back in the beginning of their product and have never regretted that decision! They uniquely address specifics for our organization and have been great with training and customizing features when needed. Not a year goes by that they have not continued to enhance and develop features that meet the needs of their customers. We've referred TouchPoint to more than one church in the years we've been a customer.

Recommendations to other buyers: We've been with TouchPoint since they were bvcms and have found them extremely attentive and responsive to our needs, training, tech support, and addressing custom needs in additional features ... have really enjoyed working with them!

Cons: As the Children's Ministry director, there are times I want to send emails to parents of children in a couple different classes (e.g. Kinder classes and elementary) and if parents have multiple children in the system- I am sending them multiple emails.

Overall: I don't know what the cost is- so I can't very well score the value for the money. But, I try to encourage other members of my church to use TouchPoint for scheduled volunteers. It is mainly used for Children's Ministry

Pros: Search Builder and Mobile App Attendance

Cons: User interface for Online giving process

Overall: We have been using Touchpoint for 3 years now at our church of about 600+ members.
The feature set and flexibility of what you can do with this software is tremendous. Very advanced reports, the Search Builder, Organizations structure...and if you can't find a way to do it, then it's open source, so submit a pull request and help add the feature yourself!

Support has been very responsive and helpful.

Only downside...some parts of the software are overly complicated with the User Interface, so there is a learning curve, especially to some advanced areas. Also, the online giving user experience is less then ideal (although functionality, it does work well. we have been using it for 3 years).

If there was something I found that was better, I would switch. But haven't found anything that meets our needs as well as Touchpoint has.

Recommendations to other buyers: Would really like to see the UI improved for public facing areas like Online Giving and Church member portal. Would like to have more functionality in the Mobile App for teachers managing their class rosters and viewing past attendance.

Pros: Ease of use, ease of learning, video tutorials, support.

Cons: For our very small church, learning to setup a rotating volunteer schedule did not appear to be worth the effort, so we simply use a manual spreadsheet for our simple requirements.

Overall: Our church has less than 50 attendees with even fewer donors, but TouchPoint (TP) is still of great value to us. We use QuickBooks Online but we prefer to also use TP for recording our giving, both online donations and on-site offerings. TP statements are easily generated; all we have to do is print, fold and place in double-window envelope. TP generates the source numbers that we use for tracking attendance and giving on an Excel spreadsheet, to create very informative trend graph. Support is US based and very responsive.

Recommendations to other buyers: We tried an expensive and popular competing product, but accomplished much more in less time, using TP. We only use a small subset of TP's features, but it is highly useful for our volunteer Admin. Large churches would receive even more value in my opinion.

Comments: The database does what we need it to do: check-in system safe for the kids on Sunday, and keeping track of attendees. I wish some of the features were more intuitive (promotion: it's never truly automatic like it should be. reports: sometimes you have to dig deep for a report, and event/camp registrations: it works, but I've worked with databases like Avectra designed specifically for crm and event/meeting registrations so in comparison, TP is a little clunky). But overall, it's a decent database. I appreciate the customer service and design team and love that they work with specific churches on things we customers are asking for. It's really a great team and a living project which grows in functionality at a steady pace.

Pros: Ease of use and functionality, - great partner in ministry.

Cons: Would like to have the ability to reserve rooms and have room setup.

Overall: I've been using touchpoint a little over two years after researching many different products. There was one product that did just a few more things I liked but it was over twice as costly. Touchpoint continues to improve and add features all the time. If you have a problem the help staff is quick and efficient in helping you figure out the issue. I am thankful that I heard about touchpoint and made the decision to have them as a partner in ministry.

Pros: Ease of use. Perfect fit for local church ministries.

Overall: We have used a variety of programs to accomplish what we needed inn our ministry through the years. Pros: SO user friendly and amazing how what all we are able to do within the system. For instance, to do a quick mail out, we just select the org, select members and print labels. No mail merging, just quick and easy!

Cons: I feel like our training has been very light so the learning curve has been tough at times.

Overall: We are loving Touch Point! It is light years ahead of our previous software and very user friendly. We are still learning, but also realizing how almost 'limitless' the system is. Customer Service has been wonderful the few times I have had to ask them for their help.

Comments: First of all, I really like this tool for keeping up with membership and getting pertinent information about a certain member. It is easy to do searches and to be able to update a member's information. It is also usable by persons that are not computer savvy, since a lot of our users are not technically astute . I can show them once or twice how to look up a member and they can easily repeat in the future.

I also like the mobile app because most of the time I need to have some information I am not near a computer. I hope that in the future the mobile app is updated to allow updates as well.

Please continue to update and make the software easier to enter data and search as well as add new functionality that I didn't know I needed.

Comments: Our youth and children's ministry was in need of a digital database platform where we could do computerized Check-In, online registration, group management, email communications, and access all of this over a web browser and a smartphone. Pros: Smartphone app (love this!) Membership (photos, info that individuals can update themselves, family relationship notes, pastoral notes) Contributions, web-based (can access anywhere) Attendance tracking / ability to enter attendance over smartphone app.

Cons: Lacks full financial suite (gen ledger, accts payable, payroll, etc) Reports could be more customizable and outreach forms too. Difficulty of integrating with Microsoft Word for producing form letters. A few other things I can't recall right now.

Overall: What I love: web-based, can access anywhere. The smartphone app is WONDERFUL!!! Membership and contact / follow up system are great. Contributions is great!
What frustrates me: No full-blown financial management module (General ledger, check printing, accounts payable, etc. which forces us to use very outdated Shelby financials. Reports are not very customizable and sometimes waste space on the page if printed.

Recommendations to other buyers: Pastors like what the software offers, but our secretaries dislike it for working on a daily basis. We have been maintaining databases in Shelby V5 and Touchpoint for two years now.

Comments: TouchPoint is very user friendly and it's pretty. There are so many ways to track a congregant's attendance & involvement in the church that we could probably never use them all. I like the fact that the software is a collaborative effort and any improvements benefit all users. The software has many reports available and dozens of criteria to choose from. The one thing I don't like is that the reports are pre-formatted. No matter what criteria you choose, the report is not limited to those criteria, but gives a whole lot of extra information. On the positive side, you can download it easily into Excel & delete the columns you don't need or you could create your own Custom Report (which is also a nice feature). The TouchPoint is very responsive to "support" email. They do a good job of working out problems & explaining how to do things. More than once when I have asked a question, I get a response with a video attached (very helpful!). I would definitely recommend this software to anyone looking for a user friendly membership database.

Pros: Customizable

Cons: Not as user friendly as some

Overall: Church Management Systems choices are hard to make. Most only specialize in one thing (finance, scheduling, or checkin)- this means that often you have to choose what aspect is most important to you and make-do with the rest. Touchpoint is consistently making what they do better and rolling out new features that were presented as real ministry needs (from actual churches who use their products).

Recommendations to other buyers: Expanded use on phones and tablets is a must.

Overall: TouchPoint is very user friendly! As an Administrative Assistant to several ministries, this software has made my job so much easier. Their customer support is one of the best: their response time is phenomenal. We do 4-6 mission trip registrations through TouchPoint every year, and the ease of managing online payments and donations is superb. It has great people management capabilities and reports are easy to run. The "Help" documentation is a great asset to make this one of the easiest systems to learn.

While we are able to use TouchPoint for registrations, donations, and online giving; the software does not include any other financial capabilities (i.e. general ledger).

I would highly recommend this software to anyone looking for something that is flexible and effective.

Overall: Our small church has been using touchpoint for a couple of years now. We love how the software can grow with us! We instituted online giving a little over a year ago (yes, even churches who only run under 100 can do this!) and it has been wonderful. We are not set up for electronic sign ins (YET!) but print out roll sheets and track attendance, visitors, etc every service. The app is AMAZING! You can google map the directions to your visits right from the app. If you're thinking about new church software, I highly recommend you take a closer look at touchpoint. Customer service is tops; both timely and personal.

Overall: It does the basics poorly, but charges you like it does them well. We got in when in was in the early stages and it was a bargain which is what a small congregation needed. Time has increased the price and bettered the graphics but they have never added any real functionality. We still cant communicate effectively within an organization and the calendar functionality is terrible. You have to almost be a programmer to send an email. The only reason we have stayed is the beast of transitioning data to another service is overwhelming as a small congregation.

Recommendations to other buyers: Stop going after the easy stuff, invest in key areas that we truly need.

As church secretary of a new church Touch Point has helped us to keep track of all the new visitors and effectively conduct follow up. I especially like the contribution recordkeeping portion of the program; it has been a huge time saver with the options for providing doner statements and keeping track of the weekly, monthly, and annual contribuations with ease.

Recommendations to other buyers: To get your money's worth, you really need to take the time to understand the program & how it works. It can be a great tool for contribution recordkeeping, attendance tracking, visitor follow up, and so much more.

Pros: Ease to make groups within the organization (for classes) or for meetings. Love the ease of having people rsvp via email to a meeting and it automatically gets put into the organization that their attending or not. Great for keeping track of where people are in their membership process.

Cons: It would be great to use the financial part with this to track tithing, but I have taken time each year to see if it's worth it to switch from manually entering from Vanco to Quickbooks online and it's still better to use Quickbooks, to me. Then, my reports are all in one spot.

Overall: We have used programs in the past and this one we will be sticking with because the continue growth and ease of use to make groups and email out to people and keeping track of people.

Recommendations to other buyers: The price is right and it's a great program. I know there is much more to the program that we don't use, but for a church of 300 people, we just use what we need.

Pros: Easy to keep congregation contact information and send out mass e-mails with announcement or prayer requests. I also know that

Cons: The program can do a lot & it gets complicated, though I don't typically need to know those things for my needs of the program (like list all the confirmation students or VBS kids) and I don't always know how to make it do what I want (but we do have other folks on staff that can help with that).

Overall: As a church receptionist, this program is very helpful to me. I frequently have to answer questions about our members' contact information and send out prayer chain and/or e-mail updates to our congregation members through TouchPoint. It's so easy and each time I've had questions, the customer service staff are fantastic. There was a bit of a learning curve and I certainly don't use all the features it has to offer, but it has been great for me!

Pros: Ease of use, detailed people management, easy and customizable exports, children's ministry check-in, mobile access, powerful search feature.

Cons: Only real con is after using the Search Builder, in order to make changes to individual profiles or select groups, it requires using the Tag feature which includes multiple steps. Would welcome as quicker editing feature.

Overall: A couple years ago, our local church was looking for a cost efficient people management software that was easy for volunteers to use, could be accessed anywhere, had a built-in check-in feature, and made managing people and giving simple, but detailed if necessary. TouchPoint filled all of those features well, and their pricing (based off individuals) made it realistic for us financially to use.

Ease of Use
After having a realistic price and the features we needed, it was essential that this software was easy to use for volunteers and the pastoral and secretary staff (some who are not high tech savvy). When we purchased the software, the TouchPoint staff (known as BVCMS back in the day) reached out to us immediately to setup training, and showed our staff how to use the software. It only took about an hour to learn the features and start using it well. Even after that, if a question ever came up, all we had to do was email them, and they got back to us within the day.

On the front end, the program is great in how it organizes information. It also has several options for exporting that information as well, which was essential for us in creating directories, email lists, etc. It even comes with a mobile app for check-in and simple search to easily find people's contact information.

After learning the front end, there are more options and tools for you to use including an email newsletter designer, ministry organization, options for pastors to keep updates on their visits and meetings with people, targeted communication exports, and mass updates, etc.

One feature I would gladly welcome is a simpler person updater using the Search Builder. In TouchPoint, they have a very detailed and powerful search feature. I use this regularly to update information, find specific people in the system, and keep track of new attenders. However, after getting your results, as far as I'm aware, there is no feature to edit person details on the Search page. To make changes, you either need to go to each person individually, or use the Tag feature. The Tag feature is great that it allows you to select all or specific people for later mass updating (which is currently what I do), but it'd be nice to have an option to update information right on the same page.

All in all, TouchPoint's features, ease of use, and excellent customer service has allowed this database software to be our one stop location for managing all aspects of our ministry involving people.

Recommendations to other buyers: It's great! Only "advice" is if there would be a simpler way to update profile information within the Search Builder screen.

Pros: Since part of my job is to keep up with our members I like how easy it is with Touch Point. I love the way you can use the Decision Summary to keep up with changes made in the system. I also love the fact that when a change is made to a person's record you can see who made it and when it was made. Also this system keeps the info in the system so you can always go back and reverse it. This is a great time saver.

Cons: I like reports the least because I have had a harder time figuring them out. Those younger than I picked it up right away. My brain doesn't think the same way as the reports work. With that said the Customer Support helps me anytime and is always very encouraging.

Overall: It has been harder for me because I am not from the gadgets generation. I have found so much support from the Touch Point Team. They were always patient and understanding. I can't believe that it was just last year that we had the system put in. Even though I am still learning and probably always will be I am enjoying the process. Glad we chose TP as our new church software.

Recommendations to other buyers: I think it is the best out there. This software is something that we can have for a long, long time. It is keeping up with the way technology is headed. Being able to use your phones to do so much. The teachers love the fact they can keep up with their class rolls. It is great.

Cons: It's difficult to learn quickly. Not as intuitive as other software I've used, but that's offset with the price.

Overall: The staff helped us through the merge and has continued to help us through new ideas and features. It's a solution that fit out budget needs!

Pros: Ability to do online giving.
Ability to do online registrations for events.
Children's check-in process.

Cons: User interface.
Searches are complicated to run.
HTML coding knowledge needed for customized emails.
Difficulty in navigating personal profiles.

Overall: We've used TouchPoint at our church for several years. The system has worked well, but the interface isn't very user-friendly. Some of the features require a more in-depth knowledge of software. Emails would be better if they could be "drag & drop" rather than HTML. Individual profiles are difficult to navigate to the information you want to retrieve. Check-in works great for Sunday mornings with children's ministry.

Comments: We have been very pleased with the product. We did a lot of research before purchasing this and through that research TouchPoint stood out among the competitors.

One of its big selling points was that We really enjoy the ability to customize and adapt the system to our church's needs. And, if there is a feature we would like to see added, the development team has been great to work with us. (Not to mention we benefit from other church's requesting new features as well. )

Other things we like about it:
1. The child check-in system was one of the selling points for us and it has been very easy to use.

2. Access to the system (limited functionality though) from the mobile app.

3. The ability for our congregants to access and update their personal information.

4. The fact that it's web-based and you can access it from anywhere.

5. The fact that you can have as many users s you like.

6. The cost structure is very reasonable.

Things we don't like:
1. Online registration forms are confusing to set up for anyone without some type of computer background.

2. We wish the mobile app had more functionality.

Overall we are very pleased with the product.

Pros: Features, open source, support.

Cons: Ease of use still has a little ways to go, but this is an area of pretty constant improvement for them.

Overall: We picked TouchPoint because it offered all of their services at a flat rate, and a good rate at that. The development has been great and the customer support is top-notch. The difficulty with any software that does a lot of things is always complexity, and I would say they've done a fair job with that, and they continue to make improvements on usability. As a person with some experience with database queries and HTML I can make it do just about anything I want, but our office staff sometimes needs help.

My favorite part about TouchPoint, however, is their support. I always get quick and detailed help when I need it, and they are very good about taking suggestions for improvements and working them in to future updates.

It's different from some other Church management software in that it's not really trying to be a local facebook knock-off for your church, but that hasn't been a concern for us, as we're not really that interested in trying to maintain and promote a private social media system.

Recommendations to other buyers: Definitely check it out!

Comments: From those of us that have been around a while and used a regular membership database- TouchPoint this is light years into the present. Merging the normal with the up to date technology that us "old schoolers" find a bit daunting; TouchPoint has made it easy and common sense to use. I still have a lot to learn, as far as, the capabilities TouchPoint offers. But there are still many more aspects that keep me in touch in the right now that other software packages don't seem to offer.

Comments: Touchpoint is a great software. I came into my current church that was already using touchpoint. The beauty of touchpoint is after I got logged in everything made sense. Did not take a lot of time to learn. It is intuitive, helpful, and well designed. I use touchpoint on a weekly basis and find it to be a very helpful ministry tool! We strongly encourage others to check it out!

Pros: It is flexible. I'm able to do so much more with this software than our previous software. The company is always looking to improve and add features that keep it from from being outdated.

Cons: There isn't anything that I don't like about this software.

Overall: TouchPoint has made managing our church's database so much simpler than what we were doing before. I no longer have to keep separate spreadsheets for data. I can run numerous reports all in this one program. It is easy to make changes to data that carry all through the program. The on-line registration has helped to cut down on the paperwork. Creating mass emails, sending out e-newsletters, etc. is an advantage we didn't have with our old software. And the calendar helps remind volunteer workers when they are scheduled to work. The more I work with this program, the more I find I can do with it. On the rare occasions when I have a questions, customer service responds quickly.

Recommendations to other buyers: I'm a visual learner and the instructional videos TouchPoint produces are a big help to me. I would like it if they were able to produce more of them.

Pros: It definitely gets the job done. We've got all our church goers in one place, we can send mass emails and track people. Support staff is my favorite part.

Cons: It's often frustrating or difficult to figure out. I think someone needs to go through and make some operations more intuitive.

Overall: I have been using TouchPoint for about a year and a half now. In someways, it is incredibly useful, and I look forward to learning more of its features. But it is often unintuitive and difficult to navigate. For example, if you search someone's first name without adding a space after it, no results will be generated. I think it has great potential but some bugs need to be worked out. But the support staff has always been incredible. Shout out to our reps!

Recommendations to other buyers: Reach out to the support staff with questions, they get back right away.

Pros: Childrens Checkin for sure. We use the mobile app with our deacons and leadership and they love it.

Cons: It can sometimes be a bit challenging to find the items you are looking for. The navigation structure can be a bit confusing.

Overall: We have been using the touchpoint system for a while now and continue to find it invaluable. We are finding new ways to use it every month or so and find it is super supported in the community. Would highly recommend it to any church. We love the children's checkin.

Recommendations to other buyers: One of the areas that I find myself frustrated on occasion is when you type a name in the search bar you cannot simply press enter to continue on. If I type Aaron Smith in the bar and press enter it will not go to my record it takes me to a page with nothing to do with Aaron Smith
