Capterra, Inc. Releases Where Business Software Buyers Plan to Spend their Money

Arlington, VA — Project Management leads the list of software that businesses are looking to buy. More than one thousand respondents took part in a Capterra survey administered by MarketTools. Of those surveyed, nearly a third (32%) said they are considering buying Project Management software in the next year. Also big on the list ¿ Customer Relationship Management software, with 22% of those surveyed considering a purchase.

Other software that made a showing on the "to buy" list includes:

Additional interesting findings include:

  • Forty percent of those surveyed say they will buy new software for their business either this year or next year.
  • Twenty-two percent plan to increase their software spend, while only 15% said their spending will decline.
  • Available features and usability are the leading factors that impact software purchase decisions, with 70% of those surveyed calling those qualities "Very Important." Last on the list was brand name, which only 19% labeled as "Very Important."
