Pros

I love the different colors so at a quick glance we can tell if we have a possible issue.
Best scheduling software I have ever used - it all ties together and takes into account the daily changes

Cons

Several times there are work order in the scheduling pool that we know the start dates are not correct. We delete ALL the work orders that are related to that part and update the system again to get the correct data.

Overall

I am a huge IQMS fan! The system is remarkable.

Pros

Work Order Summary is a great quick review of jobs

Jumping from the WO to the BOM to Inventory or the SO is so quick and easy for access and information availability

Assy Track is a wonderful tool for tracking progress especially when a customer is on the phone and needs an answer immediately

Cons

Just thinking about Finite scheduling our jobs makes everyone want to take a permanent vacation. We are so unique in what we do that we may never get there. However, if we do wander over to that function we expect that we will like what we see.

Overall

Real Time, we want it, we can't wait to start using it. Since we are using Assy 1 we know we have to wait but we are anxious and ready to get started with it. We purchased this software because of Real Time, so it will be exciting for us when we have the opportunity to use is.

Have a visual at all times when talking to customers as to where their orders stand in regards to meeting their ship dates.
Use Virtual Machines which is a must for our company.

Cons

So overwhelming that we have not even touched the surface of the Scheduling Module.

Overall

Scheduling in relation to RealTime is a must for all organizations.

Pros

We have never had a production scheduling module in our past software packages. EIQ gives us the ability to visually schedule our production runs so other departments can utilize the information. The scheduling module also ties into MRP so we can make sure that we have raw materials in house in time for production runs. Customer service utilizes the schedule to make sure that we can ship our customers and have 100% on time delivery.

Cons

We have not had any major issues with this module.

Overall

The scheduling module in EIQ allows for many departments to retrieve information needed without having to contact an individual person. It makes us more efficient in our daily responsibilities and allows us to keep our customers happy with on time deliveries.

Pros

IQMS scheduling program allows you to auto load your schedule using detailed information from the bill of materials (bom). This option can be done in a click of a button, but keep in mind it is only as good as the data entered into your database. You can chose how often you want the scheduling pool to be updated and how often you want to run auto load. The other option is to manually load your schedule from the same updated scheduling pool. It too can be updated as often as you would like. Both scheduling options offer a large variety of features and settings that allows it to mesh well with most manufacturing environments.

Cons

As I mentioned in the pros of scheduling above, different features are offered on both options of scheduling. You may like a feature on the auto load but it may not work on the manual load. You will have to experiment with both to see which is the best fit for you.

Overall

Overall, we are very pleased with IQMS. I would definitely get a core team together for review. Keep an open mind during the review and always ask yourself, "is this an organizational problem or software problem."

Overall

IQMS scheduling has taken us to a different level in supporting customer requests. It provides an optimal view of where we are and what promises can be made. Our Customer Service group is very capable of reviewing the schedule and giving customers specific answers on job readiness. It also provided the tool for centralizing scheduling.
