Comments: E2 has allowed us to capture real time data from the shop floor with a few clicks of the mouse. It has streamlined scheduling of customer's orders in a busy job shop atmosphere. We never had this level accuracy regarding times charged to jobs. Also our inventory of raw materials is accurate and reliable. Estimating is extremely fast and easy. E2 has improved the overall efficiency of our operations.

Pros: Easy to do basic searches, easy to use, minimal training time

Cons: More advanced searches are difficult, would like to be able to modify some reports ourselves instead of paying Shoptech to do it.

Overall: Great system overall. MUCH better than what we were using before. Pros outweigh the cons.

Pros: Easy to use.
Manufacturing process goes full circle ,quoting,PO, inventory,shipping, quality, accounting,data collection and scheduling.

Cons: Could be more reports friendly.

Overall: I would recommend this software to any small to midsize manufacturing company. It is very cost effective and the support is second to none.

Pros: Tracks job status from order entry thru the billing cycle very efficiently.
Intuitive screens and very short learning curve for new users.
With the exception of WIP, The provided accounting reports have been perfect for our needs without the need to customize.
Support is excellent with very short response time and usually resolved within the same phone call. And to my knowledge, all support is U.S. based with no language barrier to overcome.

Cons: Purchase Order/Receiver discrepancies are difficult to resolve.
Corrections to Posted periods are Cumbersome.
Does not allow for detailed invoicing without exporting to other application.

Overall: Highly recommend.

Pros: Easy to use with good customer support. All the modules are similar, so training new users is generally easy.

The available modules cover most business needs (i.e. quoting through collections including quality).

Cons: The scheduling module has limitations. The linking of jobs for stock jobs, etc. for large blanket orders that we want to setup multiple times causes issues.

The quotation module has limiations. For example, quoting larger volume jobs with multiple setups requires a work around. Also, allocating costs accross pieces requires thought and a work around.

Inventory management has limitation. We don't like how E2 handles inventory locations and quantities that have been transferred to jobs.

The system lacks a good CRM, equipment maintenance, and employee training option. Although it contains some of these features, they don't work well and are hard to adapt.

Overall: I do recommend this system to other users. It is a good system, but it requires adaptation and work arounds for each company's unique processes.

Pros: This is very fluid. From initial customer contact, through invoicing. It forms a completely solid chain of events (traceability). It is relatively easy to use from start to finish. Tech support is amazing and worth the investment. Features are quite customizable. System can accomodate manufactured parts, as well as pure resell items.

Cons: It has idiosyncrocies, that once you figure them out, you can circumvent/avoid, but there is a learning curve associated with these. More in depth features are more difficult to use effeciently.

Overall: This system is great for a pure manufacturer or a MFG/Resell operation. It is probably fine for pure resell also, but overkill for this. Highly recommended.

Pros: We've used E2 for over 10 years. It's done everything that's come up for our business. A couple of the nice features is it does everything from accounting to quotes. Screens are similar so its not hard to learn new features. And all the data flows thru so you only enter data once. We run a $3M company with 2 people in the office and 18 machinists on the shop floor ( and we have time to spare in the office ). Before E2 we had 5 people in the office. Tech support has been great. But truthfully we don't use it much. The system is very stable.

Cons: A little slow in releasing new versions capable of running the latest and greatest window versions. But I guess that's to be expected with all the testing and such.

Overall: All and all a great prduct for us. I highly recommend to any similiar business. We reviewed 6 other systems prior to buying E2. And I couldn't be any happier with our choice .

Everything you need in one software: Starting from estimating, to processing an order, to shipping, and invoicing.

Cons: Hard to change certain things after implementation

Overall: This is a great software. Just don't under-estimate the planning process. We had to implement in a hurry and in turn we rushed the planning process. The software is still awesome and has helped us tremendously, but I think if we planned it out more thoroughly it could be even better. If I could go back or if we ever plan to reimplement the software, I would take advantage of one of their consultants or techs before implementing again.

Cons: Too user lenient, only on/off menu functionality
Audit trail does not reflect ¿¿¿what¿¿¿ was edited.
Text-based description box allows editing without unprocessing.
Report style is very bland and altering appearance is not optional.
Triggers and customized queries are not easy to generate and results are not consistent.
Job cost analysis does not calculate invoiced amounts when PO amounts differ.
Restricted editing of purchase order when partial quantity has been received. Suggest moving demand to 2nd line item so that PO can be altered for next release instead of moving quantity to new PO. Would also like to see document attachment in Receiver so that certs and inspection documents could be attached by user.

Overall: Although we struggled with implementation and initial system setup, overall E2 is a great system and a huge value for dollars spent! Again, as the quality system administrator, the E2 quality module affords the ease of giving auditors a quick view of the effectiveness of the QMS and does the document organization for me. Charts and graphs are quickly generated with clear data points. The quality section does not give the appearance of an "afterthought" as many, many systems' quality modules exhibit. The CFO here is still very partial to Quickbooks but I believe that we could function very well using E2's Accounting module alone.
This system was clearly built by people who understand manufacturing processes and challenges and that has clearly made all the difference!

Pros: I like the way invoices are processed and can be updated at any time.
Quick view is great tool. I love having all the information gathered in one place.

Cons: Items can only be invoiced in whole numbers. We bill in percentages and it makes billing cumbersome.
The aging is hard to read when you want history. I prefer a more stramlined version showing the invoice paid and the checks on a separate line, not separated.
Inventory and allocations are in whole numbers and we work in decimals.

Overall: I have recommended E2 to others that need an integrated system. There are drawbacks, but they can be worked around.

Pros: We have been using the software for some time and have been extremely satisfied with it. Very easy to use and follow the flow from start to finish. New employees are able to catch on fast, very little time is required on training. I can't say enough about the support. We have had some issues, mainly our fault, and the response time was very fast and the support staff has saved us many a times.

Cons: Could use a few more things, like being able to select mutilple options when searching. Also the accounting side seems a little to basic for our accountants.

Overall: Very, very good - I have suggested your software to many people.

Pros: The searchable fields are endless to modify reports
Ease of use is fairly simple

Cons: Need more help with crystal reports
Would like more detail; pounds rather than costs in some fields
Hard to figure some of the costs and reasoning
Training needs to be smaller classes, more detail
Offer overall/implentation class, then need more hands on class.

Overall: E2 is a great system overall, (in comparison to old system, no contest) Need more in depth training or suggest to have someone like Karla to come in and ensure that you are setting up and utilizing the system 100%.
