Pros: It's free. As a small company, I don't need the full fluff of managing a full enterprise level project management tool, and Trello is perfect.

Cons: The UI can have some issues in poor connection environments, and I have lost entered text and uploaded pictures before.

Pros: The app looks really nice, you can customize your boards as you like which is a great visual help.
It is really flexible, we used it for every kind of projects and ideas, not only at the office.

Cons: Some features like due date are not so useful, and if you want to be really structure it could be quite difficult

Overall: I organize all my life with Trello, it's awesome

Pros: This software can be used so many ways but for me, it stopped the constant office calls with questions from sales reps. All of their accounts were in one spot and we could update them together.

Cons: I'd like to see more integration with the current software I use. It offers allot with other companies so it may still be possible.

Pros: Trello is one of the most simple to use, task and project management tools I've ever tried. Now, if I could get into the habit of planning and just working on what's in front of me, I would use it daily.

Cons: At times, I feel task management tools create redundancy. I experienced this with Trello--especially when it came to what to put on my calendar and what to put on boards. Overall, Trello is top of the list for management of tasks.

Pros: Trello uses the 'cards' way of organizing project tasks / milestones. Each card is easy to use and can include checklists, files, comments and due dates. This makes it super easy to organize project flow ideas quickly.

Cons: Most other project management tools have a built in time tracking functionality. Trello doesn't. So I have to use Toggl as a Chrome extension to be able to track time on Trello tasks.

Overall: Trello is the best way to organize all my projects - both for work and for home. Together with the mobile app it super easy to create checklists and save files for each project and task.

Trello has a great deal of potential, but is held back by a few missing features.

Pros: As a collaborative productivity platform, Trello is great for organizing a team's workflow. The visual manner in which cards and projects are laid out is very appealing, and makes it easy to quickly recognize tasks that need to be completed.

Cons: Trello lacks some functionality that would make it an indispensable tool. Namely, it is very difficult to create recurring tasks with repeated due dates. It is not possible to assign a due date to specific checklist items, and when a task has multiple dates associated it's very easy to lose track.

Pros: Can be used in a very basic and simple way, which makes it very convenient for daily task management, but it also has many features that makes it good enough for managing more complex projects.

Cons: Inability to set up sprints (big downside if you work with SCRUM). There's no custom field for software versions.

Pros: I love the swim lanes and the ability to easily move cards to different columns and seamlessly organize my work.

Cons: It seems Trello has a lot of cool features that require you to pay for them. That makes sense because they are trying to run a business--but I had become spoiled by thinking of Trello as a free product but now viewing it more as having to pay for what I have grown accustomed to having for free.

Pros: The best thing is that it not only helps visualize and manage task and projects. It is also a great toll for all kinds of lists (for example knowledge base) and status updates.

Cons: If you more of "a list person" and kanban is not your thing, you will really hate this tools as the bords and cards view is the only option you've got.

Overall: Great tool for making all kindos of the list for information that needs to be stored and accessed by a group of people.

Pros: My co-workers really seem to like Trello, but I find it cumbersome. I do like the email notification when I'm tagged, however - that's how I know to check it.

Cons: I feel like Trello is really a clunky replacement for email. I know it's so much more than that, but in a small office, I'm not sure we need this many ways to disseminate information to our 15 person staff.

Pros: I love how it can be used across different platforms. I can add orders on my phone, and my producer can look it up on his iPad and produce our work. I love the different organizing options.

Cons: It's hard to add to a post. Trying to find how to add a picture to a post for an order was just too hard. There should be an "archive" tool to remove adds off the screen, but still have it accessible somewhere.

Pros: I love Trello. I use it every day for managing big projects that last over several months, to team efforts supporting conferences, to my every day tasks. I've used it for tracking workouts, vacations, presentations, all sorts of things. The more I use it the more I find ways to use it. I like the free-form of the tool. The ability to move cards and lists around with a click-and drag of the mouse is fantastic.

I like that I can schedule tasks to other members of my team and them to me. That notifications are given when a task is complete. The ability to hold a conversation behind a task/item and also add attachments is incredibly useful.

Cons: I love it, but I think that because it is so free flowing, meaning you can arrange boards and cards in as many ways as you can imagine, that some users find this "lack of structure" more complicated. They aren't sure where to start. The more board examples you see and the more you play with it, the more you understand it. Making it easier for people to find these examples might be helpful.

Overall: A more organized process for projects I already manage, and a place to capture tasks as they happen on new projects I'm working on.

The biggest benefit is because it is so fluid I can use it to track any thing I need to track.

I haven't had any issues with Trello whatsoever in the 5 years that I have used it.

Overall: Organization in a clean environment. Intuitive. Available web presence and app.

Pros: The best thing about Trello is that it's so easy to use and set up. In fact when I get a new team member to start using the tool it requires little to no training at all.

I use this tool for lots of different reasons; boards to manage my personal to-do list, boards to store and manage team training material, a place to capture ideas for product development and as a way to manage the content marketing for the company. It's really versatile and I can recommend for all organisations.

Cons: There is very little I don't like as the limited features are what help keep this tool simple and versatile.

Overall: Improved time and team management.

Pros: It's intuitive, things mostly work the way I would expect, the interface is snappy, the UI is very customizable, it has integrations for most of the other services I use, it supports just about any sort of workflow, and it's quite pretty!

Cons: Cards are sometimes a bit finicky (When dragging a cart to a list, especially a really long list, there's a chance there'll be a pause and then the card will end up somewhere else in the list than where I dragged it. It's sometimes a little bit too easy to make changes to cards without realizing it because clicking in many areas essentially starts a text editing experience.

Overall: We manage many of our projects in Trello, breaking down the tasks into bite-sized pieces, and it allows us to keep a good picture of where we're at and what to work on next, along with comment streams, files, and other things related to each card. It fixes many of the shortcomings in our previous workflow.

Pros: It is extremely intuitive. It doesn't take long to learn how to use the software and you dont need any instructions. Our company uses SCRUM to complete projects and this software is absolutely perfect for that.

Cons: The are not many things I don't like about this software. I'd say the pricing for enterprise versus the features you get above and beyond a free account are not in the proper proportion. I'd like to see more features for the extra money we pay.

Overall: It helps me to keep track of everything I need to get done across multiple projects while keeping everything organized with notes and due dates.

Pros: Trello is very clean. It is simple and effective. Once you figure out how the UI works, you will feel like a pro in about ten minutes. For collaboration, it couldn't be easier. You can easily add others to your board and let them input data as well. It has it all: due dates, labels, embedded images, and even a simple markup language.

We use Trello for all of our internal IT projects, and it helps us to keep track of where we are with not only our personal projects but others as well. This reduces redundancy and keeps us from coming back later on and wondering how we solved a problem.

Cons: The only thing I really don't like is that you can't export to PDF without the business class version. Maybe I just need to buy it. I'm pretty cheap.

Overall: It has kept our tasks organized, and allowed our IT team to collaborate on shared assignments. This means that we get our jobs done quicker, all while maintaining adequate documentation, in case we need it for later use.

Pros: Ease of use, Fully Functional at free level

Cons: Nothing

Overall: Trello has been a great addition to our team workflow; it's super-easy to learn, and it's really helped us stay on the same page, especially with our IT/website tech who works remotely. You can create cards with checklists, attachments, and more, and that's barely scratching the surface. The best part is, the free base level is fully functional, so it's a low-cost (read: free) way to improve your internal communications. They have a paid tier with additional features and add-ons, but for getting started, there's nothing easier!

Recommendations to other buyers: Great entry into team project management and communication arena for small organizations!

From managing client projects to personal organization lists, it's become one of my go-to tools for helping me organize my thoughts, tasks, plans, etc. The interface is intuitive and fun and the Trello team continues to make useful improvements. Pros: The simplicity of the concept and the gentle learning curve.

Cons: There's no way to get a cross-boards overview, which would be useful when you're using Trello for something project management, and you're trying to see what outstanding cards are assigned to you.

Overall: I think Trello's strength is that it doesn't try to do too much. It is a very simple, flexible concept, lists of lists which lets you shape it to your own purposes. It adds a few basic features (tags, card/board membership, due dates, checklists) but even there it doesn't try to funnel you into using them in a specific way. It just gives you the tools and lets you decide how to use them.

Pros: Easy to track tasks, assign them, hare a board with other people.
Well designed and versatile - you can make it fit personal use, group use and apply it to a very wide range of actions - such as a sprint or editorial calendar.

Cons: More comprehensive notation abilities would be useful, as would more integrations with other calendar/task apps.

Overall: Trello is a great tool to keep things (people, tasks, files) organised in a simple, user friendly and clearly designed way.

In my role I shave to juggle multiple taks people and pieces of content - troll is perfect for that. Aside from creating a board and using it as a basic 'to do' list, I can create things like editorial calendars, tracking what lies with each person, what documents are associated, and notes, and importantly add deadlines and due dates.

Recommendations to other buyers: Its initially free, try it out!

Pros: Simple old concept is redesigned to a new and modern concept. Simplicity, design, user-friendly concept,....
When I use it for my personal projects then is very usefull.
When we use it, as international team, then is important part of our job.
Simple to use, easy to learn, everything is fantastic.
There is a limits of 10 Mb for a free version. This can be solved with links to other clouds so it+s not really a problem.

Cons: Sometimes it's necessary to use external programs for some simple stuff. I would like to see more cooperation/conectivity between on-line platforms that I use.
Also, add-ons can solve some of this problems but it's not same thing.

Overall: Last year I had a opportunity to start a small project in development and production of new carbon based products. Fantastic stuff, international cooperation and my role was to organize R&D.

After project started restrictions camed: low/no budget for anything outside "pure" R&D and coordination/reporting activities between R&D team - other members (national and international). Ok, we can live with that but it have to be solved in some way.

So I started to look for some team/project based solution, and after just one googling TRELLO came to the top. As a first, I was sceptic to some on-line solution (if they are not in-company solution) but after half hour working on mock project I understood all the benefits of this, new concept to me, boards.

And they are excellent. Easy to create, customize, define personal protocols, define team/sharing, history, hyperlinks,... fantastic.

Concept is simple, "old school", can be done (as it was before) with papers/documents but as on-line is unbeatable. First thing to do is to start a board. In it You can insert lists, and in lists there are cards.

Boards is group of lists, and list is group of cards. Usually lists are steps in some process, and cards are all activities that are planed. As You finish some step You just drag needed card from one to other list/step.

List can be edited and defined in several ways: members, labels, checklist (my favorite) or adding attachments (photos or links). History (called activities) is visible on te bottom so is simple to see when and who did changes in the lists.
Interesting options is to "subscribe" on the list so You get informed when new activities on the list happens.

Another thing to mention are add-ons that are not so needed but change /personalize Your work with TRELLO (for example: to include gant diagrams in lists).

Implementation was simple and easy and it helped as a lot regarding our communication and cooperation. It is one of best on-line solutions that I use averyday.

Recommendations to other buyers: I'm using TRELLO for my personal and for my profesionall needs/projects. And thats it.

Pros: Being able to email information to a specific card - converts the email stream to useful information.

Cons: So many cool Power-ups that I am too cheap to pay for, but covet.

Overall: There are different types of projects, with different workflow patterns and complexities. Trello came from an ex-Toyata exec, and seems to mimic the kanban cards that famously used to ensure high quality production back in the day. For projects that follow a similar pattern to car production - a large number of similar items going through a relatively unbranched workflows (like cars on an assembly line), I find it to be great. It is easy to grasp, visually pleasing, and easy to use on the web, tablet or smartphone. Some features I especially like: a checklist on one card can be loaded onto another card, you can filter a board by due dates, and my favorite is you can email a comment or attachment to a card using the unique email. I have used it duing my current job search to track the stage of my job search (each card is a position I am in discussions about, the stages are HR screen, hiring manager phone interview, waiting for on-site interview, etc.). Although I am still looking, with Trello I know exactly where each opportunity stands, and can easily show others. This is just one example, but if you try Trello, you will soon find many uses for it. Love it!

Recommendations to other buyers: I find it best for "production" tasks, where the workflow is well-known and there are many items being processed through. For less uniform, well-understood projects, it may not be the best option.

I am able to have a tab for my work tasks that keeps me up to date with any additions and comments as well as interacting with collagues.
I am also able to have a seperate tab for private usage to keep tabs of items such as shopping lists, to do's, contact information, articles, code snippets and even websites and images for later usage.

Pros: The ability to customize it to my needs.

Cons: Nothing at all. I love it and recommend it on a regular basis.

Overall: I've tested dozens of project management and to-do list apps over the past couple of years. Some I would use for a couple of weeks, others a few days, but ultimately I would move on to something else. Trello has been different and is the tool I use for everything now. I love being able to customize it to my needs. I use the Gold version which allows me to use 3 power ups per board which has been great!

Recommendations to other buyers: Read blogs about how others are using it to get ideas. It can seem a little overwhelming because it truly gives you a blank slate

Cons: Can be overwhelming if you have lots of tasks

Comments: Trello has made not only assigning tasks simple but allows allows our team to create visual workflows with their side-by-side lists. We have set up lists for each step in the process of designing a product to listing it for sale. Our team knows that when a new design is started on a Trello card they will move it from list to list as the step in the process is completed.

Pros: - Free option

Cons: - Lack of third-party integration

Overall: Collaborate easily with members of your organization. There are separate list options as well that can only be viewed and managed by you. There are many features such as adding a deadline on your projects or commenting on cards from time to time to update the progress. It does not have third-party integration and that is the only drawback. It's a no-fluff tool so it is really useful to manage activities.

Pros: On-line Scrum board, super affordable - even free version is useful for small organizations. Update statuses from anywhere.

Cons: Would love to see some advanced functionality involving video, but not a super big let down.

Overall: We manage 2,500+ student housing beds, in one massive community. Spanning 80+ acres, and some 60 employees, located in three different offices around the community, getting on the same page can be difficult. My job is to keep all these balls in the air, and moving towards completion.
Having watched an episode of Silicon Valley (HBO, watch it, hilarious) I first became aware of Scrum boards, and I wanted one. After the first week, I realized I wanted a digital, cloud-based scrum board. Lo & behold, Trello.
It's been a joy to work with and has solved the management of diverse projects around the community, from landscaping, to Accounting, to Marketing, to Capital improvement projects, the team is able to keep everything straight and update their piece of the puzzle in real time so we can stay abreast of what's next. It makes my job 50% easier, no joke.
I only marked off a star for Quality/Ease/Features due to the fact that there's room for improvement. Everyone has to crawl before they ball, and Trello is just standing upright and getting ready to set itself on the starting blocks. Really great software.

Pros: A good set of core features and a dead simple interface.

Cons: It will not be a good fit for users who need a deep set of robust PM tools.

Overall: I've used Trello on several projects. It is very simple to set up boards, cards, and tasks, attach files, report progress, and create a very simple and effective workflow for projects. However, I have also used it for other purposes because its ease-of-use. For example, I've created boards for corporate curriculum. Not just for deployment, but the drag-around nature of the UI allow a team collaborating on the project to quickly share ideas about how things could be organized differently.

There is virtually no learning curve, and you have way to organize boards for projects (or otherwise) in a way that is transparent and powerful. It is also very simple to share the right boards with the right team members, and revoke access if needed.

It is not as fully featured as some To Do or PM Programs I have used, but the tradeoff for some functionality (where I spent a lot of time figuring out how to do something or undo someone's mistakes) is a good ROI when it comes to providing a platform that virtually everyone understands with very little time and coaching.

If you need an incredibly robust PM program, Trello may not be the best fit, but if you need a dead simple PM tool with a solid core offering of features, it is worth your time to investigate.

Pros: Interface

Cons: limitations, lack of information on how to get the most out of the product.

Overall: Trello is a great tool for organization, and for what you pay for the free version ($0), what you get is well worth it! That said, there are some frustrating aspects to it's use which, if addressed, would make the software so much more valuable. First, getting folks set up on Trello is a headache. There are too many steps involved with onboarding employees. Second, Trello generates it's own "nicknames" for users, which can be very confusing when attempting to add people to boards and teams.

Personally, I find most of the Add-Ons pretty useless, perhaps that's just because I don't use most of the software you can sync with. But even for the ones we do use (Slack for example) it is unclear to me how using them together as an add on would be helpful. I think Trello could do a better job explaining how Add-Ons work and how users can benefit from them.

Lastly, the customer service is not very good. Users are left to pretty much figure things out for themselves, which for me means not knowing how best to use the software. The result is a tool that seems much clunkier than it probably actually is.

Comments: I use Trello in a personal capacity. I find that it's great for organizing lists, goals, and tasks. I also link it up to IFTTT to automate weekly tasks. I have not used it too much in sharing projects with a group, however, it does seem to perform well as a simple project management system for teams. My favorite features in each section are the ability to attach a document or link (I probably use this one the most), assign a due date, or break a task down by adding a checklist. It's also helpful to assign individual cards to different users. I only wish they included a chat feature for communicating with remote users in the product.

Good for free-flow processes

Pros: Easy to use

Cons: No custom-fields

Overall: One of my clients uses Trello to communicate with their suppliers. Very good for first-level communication/tracking. But as soon as we want to track changes for reporting, things become messy.

Nice UI, strong tool
