Pros

I love the product. It is easy to learn, has wonderful support materials available when needed for periodic review of some applications when used occassionally at semester set up or change in program year. Support staff is very helpful and respond quickly to questions or problems.

Cons

I have no negative comments to make.

Overall

I would highly recommend this product to any Community Ed Department looking to get their course information out to a wider audience. We loved the ability to showcase all of the areas that COM ED serves our customers. It is a great PR tool and our enrollment numbers have been good.People are more comfortable doing registration, reading the course catalog, etc at home.

Pros

Our program puts all of our classes in Affinety first and then exports and merges them into our brochure. In the past, we used the old export option but it was very time consuming flipping classes to active/inactive, pulling from different program years etc. In addition, the old merge came out with squiggle lines and had to be completely re-typed. Recently, we paid Affinety to design an export function so the descriptions through all the class details come out smoothly in the format we list in the brochure. It is absolutely amazing and worth every penny of our investment. On average it took us 3 people three days to clean up the merge. Now, in a matter of MINUTES and in the format we need, we can drop into Quark. With one brochure, it paid for the cost of the customization.

There are no cons at this point to the customization.

Overall

I definitely recommend this customization for other Community Education organizations!

Easy implementation, great report features, wonderful support. Everything is so easy. We love it and so glad we went with it.

Pros

Course catalog setup is easy, and the ability to add links and pictures to the class descriptions really makes an impact on my website. The automatic emails to customers for class confirmations and cancellations take one more thing off my plate. With the real-time credit card processing, I don't have to worry about processing them myself or deal with declined cards, and I know that if the registration has been accepted, the payment has been added to my bank. The variety of reports is impressive, and easy to use. Rosters, deposit reports, expense reports, profit/loss reports, past due accounts- everything I need is there. The support department is quick to respond to any of my questions, and they're always sending out newsletters with helpful hints.

Cons

There are a lot of features I don't use in the software, and probably could make better use of it if I had the time to learn all that they provided.

Overall

Being the sole employee means I have to do everything, so anything consumers can do on their own is a huge help. Customers can check class availability, register, print receipts and review class details without having to call me.
