A great move to go paperless. Tried a few other companies, and led the way.

Pros

Everything is great so far. Work hub on any smartphone or device creates efficient reporting, learning curve is quick and customer support is quite rapid and excellent.

Cons

Site sign in of visitors is a problem usi g the QR code system. Issues with sign out at end off the day or when leaving. As the page refreshes and they lose the ability to check out. Auto complete should be part of the system for individules who are regulars to visiting.

My overall experience with has been very good. It is a solid, professional platform that effectively addresses the core challenges of managing safety compliance and training across our operations. It successfully manages to streamline processes that used to take us significantly more time when using manual systems or spreadsheets.

Pros

The support workers are so incredibly helpful! Every time I have a question or need to troubleshoot a new module, I just jump on the live chat, and a knowledgeable person is there instantly. They don't just answer the question; they walk me through the solution step-by-step. Their outstanding service has made implementing our safety system a breeze. They have a suggestion box for ideas to improve and for me that is invaluable. If they can help me with some of my suggestions it would also help others.

Cons

Sometimes I find ways where the system is lacking for my specific needs, but does have a 'suggestions box' which is helpful, in that they truly consider ideas from those that need different functionality to make the platform work better for their unique industry or processes.

Overall, a good value for money but lacking in some areas. If you're objective is LMS, Hazard Assessment, SOP acknowledgments, competency and tracking, it's very competitive.

Pros

Great value for the money for a learning management system. Customer Support is always available, and employees are easily able to acknowledge and participate in hazard assessments and standard operating procedures. Very user friendly.

Cons

While, primarily a learning management system, there is no feature for customizing reporting forms within the program other software must be used to import information. Site-specific hazard assessments, and workflows are lacking and only give supervisors (one person) notifications and viewing of incident reports without giving managers admin permissions to incident reports.

Our overall experience with has been excellent!! It's been a game changer for our company and our workers!

Pros

has the best price in the market and you only pay for the workers that are active. It's month to month with no contracts! I love how the platform is laid out. It's easy to use for both management and workers that are not that tech savvy. WorkHub has an impressive extensive line of training videos that suit both Canada and the US. If you want your own in there, it's no problem, and easy to do. You can also reconfigure the tests! I also love the fact that inspections can be linked to your assets, and you can find specific deficiencies noted in the inspections or repairs done just by searching key words. This is very important to our company. It's great to find common issues or when the last oil change was done on a piece of equipment. It's rare to have that option in a platform like this. I've tried many. Workhub has an amazing awards program! You collect points for doing good things, doing training, or completing task and you can get clothing with your company logo on it. They supply a catalogue with well made items. I love how you can customize each task to how many reward points your employees get, or none at all. WorkHub's customer support is excellent! You get a live person that's knowledgeable and that you can keep in touch with, but they are all great! Wait times are very fast. Reporting with WorkHub is easy. After submitting a form that needs corrective actions, you simply go to your Actions tab and view what deficiencies that were reported. This includes incidents and hazards. I love the bulletin board. You can make it just like your safety board. I love that WorkHub is always updating the application and making it better and keeping up with the competition. I especially liked the fact that you can try WorkHub for as long as you like for free! You don't get all the bells and whistles, like the reward points, but it gives you a really good experience of what it can do. It's so worth paying for the subscribed version...especially at that price! You can't go wrong! Thank you WorkHub for putting together such a great, easy to use platform like this!

Cons

My only con is that the form they provide can't be changed to be a repair order, where you can add what parts need to be ordered, etc. It's set up like an inspection. If you use another site to make your forms, then you can't search for key word in the form that was written by a worker.

Excellent product, very cost effective and not overly complex, perfect for a small to medium size company.

Pros

has been easy to use and easy to roll out to employees. Employees have picked up quickly how to use Workhub with excellent participation and feedback.

Cons

Analytics feature is very poor it does not quantify types of events accurately and is very basic. The analytics requires improvement in occurrence definition to be more effective.

I find that the app provides ease of use for our workforce which increases our overall use of safety documentation. Since we began using the app our overall safety culture and awareness has improved year over year. Customer service has always been fantastic and any question, concern or problem I have encountered has been brought to a successful resolution in a timely manner. It has been a pleasure working with and using WorkHub.

Cons

The app limits the ability to include specific sections or tabs so you need to be creative when placing new custom or specific tabs or sections. There are ways to input the data you want however it would be more accessible if the dashboard could be modified

Your thoughts on the dashboard modification are really interesting. However, if we let customers customize it, our success team might find it tough to understand what they’re talking about when issues come up or when help is needed. From my experience, I’ve heard so many different names for the “Certificates” component, like tickets, records, documents, licenses, permits, credentials, qualifications, attestations, and accreditations, just to name a few. This is one reason why we don’t allow customization for customers. It would be really hard for our support team to address issues if the identification isn’t clear. Plus, we have customers in different industries, countries, and languages, so that’s another reason why we don’t have customization right now, but not completely closed to the idea of having it some day.

Although transitioning our Town to has been a large job, the Workhub support has been incredible. From our dedicated account executives to trainers to customer support representatives, they offer quick response times and solutions. No question has been too simple or too complex. They listen to our needs and suggest workarounds when they can. Thank you for making a large job go so smoothly. I appreciate this team!

Pros

The people! They are friendly, responsive, and quick to help. The platform is easy to use, whether on a computer or on your mobile. The biggest job has been getting the information in there, but once it's in, workers are sharing rave reviews! They are always doing updates. They listen to customer feedback and continually improve it. makes Audit management simple - all our information was in one easy-to-access place. The auditor could easily see our company's safety focus and find the documentation to support it. Workers can quickly and easily create an incident while in the field and upload pictures in a snap. Formal Hazard Assessments are always at their fingertips while working in the field, and Formal Worksite Inspections are a breeze - simply assign an action item if something is identified, and move on. Very quick and easy. Supervisors and Managers can easily check compliance for training and acknowledgement of Policies, Procedures, and meetings. This is a great tool for employee management. The recognition features are excellent. The kudos section took off without us even inviting staff to use it. It's wonderful to see staff recognizing and lifting each other up.

Cons

There is no built-in sign-off workflow feature that allows each level of leadership to sign off on an incident or form. There are options if you use an adjacent application, but not within itself. That being said, we were able to use the Action Items to create a workaround that is working well for us. Some feedback from our workers regarding Online Training: There is no option to speed up the narrator. You can't pause and step away. It doesn't remember where you were, and you have to start over. In some courses, the entire screen can't be seen, and there is no option to maximize; you have to scroll down to access the controls. You also can't rewind, so if you miss a point, you have to redo the whole chapter.

The idea of including workflows for different levels of administration is a great suggestion that some of our customers are interested in having, and our team is already aware of that feature. We’re hoping to implement something like that in the future. Regarding training, we understand that all workers want to take a break, as they’re busy and need to focus on other tasks. However, the training they’re completing in our platform is for safety reasons. We want to ensure that they stay focused on one task, avoiding long pauses or walking off, which could lead to forgetting important information. This way, workers are reminded to complete the training they’ve started. They can still pause and stretch, but not completely interrupt. Your feedback will be passed over to our development team.

### "Get the Value for Money with Workhub Employee Management"

I am using everyday as part of my work. It is easy to use and pretty much straight forward. It helps our company raise the bar for Safety excellence through efficient tracking of the certificates / tickets of our employees / workers and subconctractors. There will be technical glitches at times but I appreciate how workhub customer support listens to our questions and solve the problems to the best of their abilities. Overall, we really get the value for money with this program.

Pros

What I like most about is its efficient "Employee management" and excellent "customers support." It is easy to track active employees and inactive employees, as well as their current and past due tickets. Whenever we have questions or requests, the customer service team answers all our inquiries in a very professional and timely manner.

Cons

I believe the "Forms" can use a little more improvement. There were few forms like tracking the action items that needs improvement by adding more fields for us to efficiently identify or link those action items to an incident close-out.

Works well, I wish it could do a little more, it is close to being Great. The editing is a little glitchy sometimes you have to open the page several times before it loads.

Needs a place for Formal Hazard assessments. In the Safety meetings section policy's and procedures should be able to be linked. After editing a procedure the system should make everyone reread it.

For example, you can update a procedure and have everyone take another look, depending on the nature of the change. Minor changes, workers don’t need to review. Major changes, worker’s compliance will be reset. Regarding linking policies to safety meetings, there’s a section when you schedule the meeting where you can attach documents. You can download the policy as a PDF and reupload it there. For Formal Hazard Assessments, many of our clients use Other Forms for this, which is super flexible and easy to use. Cons

Some features can be improved such as Safety Meetings. Scheduling Multiple advance meetings max 3-5 would be helpful in case of daily safety huddles for example.

Overall, the experience has been excellent! Customer service is outstanding, and response times are always quick. If there’s ever anything you’re unsure about, the team takes the time to meet with you and go over every detail until you’re completely satisfied. Overall, this has been a great platform for our company to use. I have not found any other platform that offers such an array of trainings in one place. Again, I most appreciate being able to add our own corporate trainings to the platform so everything is included in one place.

Pros

has made it very easy and seamless to enroll staff, monitor progress and stay compliant. I like that an organization can add their own trainings to the system and that it is not just what Workhub offer. This system is excellent for any ISO organization that gets audited.

Cons

The administrative role is a little difficult at times to setup. There are times, when it is hard to determine if you are operating in admin role or user role. Sometimes it is hard to tell what is "new" to the platform and necessary. I have found there to be duplicate trainings with different versions in the system, making it unclear as to which is the one to be compliant in. I would like to see some additional automations and push out notification settings for admins. Also, would like to see more reminders to employees when they have not met the target timeline for completion so that it does not become as manual for admins.

Reason for choosing Workhub

I chose for the all in one platform and ability to change and update trainings as we needed to stay in compliance. I also chose this platform for the ease of audit and record keeping. The platform price was also a huge aspect as it had to fit into our budget.

The key feature of (and Safety Sync) is it's ease of use and brevity. Other apps take longer to accomplish the same task and can be overly complicated. I believe that WorkHub knows its audience. We want simple, effective software for basic users, or those who may not be as adept with software interfaces. I appreciate the new, more graphic style of UI. As an Administrator, I rely on the reporting and metrics provided but I'm a data nerd so more and even more granular reports are always well received. I love evidence!

Pros

if fast, efficient, intuitive and accurate. It is simple in design for both users and administrators. WorkHub presents, records and reports information in a linear fashion. It is very binary in its presentation of information yet is simultaneously detailed for administrators when establishing information in each module, i.e instituting a new policy. My relationship with support and technical staff is excellent - 5 stars

Cons

I haven't figured out how to adapt or fully utilize Competencies easily. For example, if there are 3 - 5 specific areas and within each area there are ~ 7-10 key locations and in each location reside ~100 competencies. An Assessor/Assesee would have to manage requests and approvals for the remainder of their days. I haven't quite figured out how to engineer this feature to my specific industry needs.

I chose work hub particulary becuasae of the USA Hours of Service training they have so very recently rolled out. I did not know what I was getting myself into when I first clicked the link while doing a google search but I could not have asked for better. It is so nice to search for something online that you really want or need and be able to not only find it, but receive it in abundance! Also, I was unsure about something on the platform so I called into the customer service number and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] answered my call, chipper and without delay. From the way \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] greeted the call, I knew I was in good hands and boy was I! \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] gave me a run down in the most eloquent, concise, and yet the most elaborate way. What a great customer service call! Seriously, it was really good. I have worked in telecommunications by way of customer service and sales for call centers and smaller companies alike. Overall we quite enjoy , other than some of the changes that no longer support our company needs.

Pros

Having all tickets and online training available electronically for workers, supervisors and managements, as well, as having documents like policies and procedures available to workers at anytime.

Cons

The constant changes, some of which are NOT user friendly, and are removing features that we become accustomed to. When these are removed, it makes our job much more difficult and we are no longer able to support our staff as we have previously.

Pros

Are able to successfully train large groups of workers with obstacles such as: extremely remote communities, low literacy, limited access to both computers and internet. Ability to cover a vast number of worksites/departments within our organization and maintain the same quality of safety training. Great support staff! I can not stress this enough.

Cons

We generally have to deliver the course to remote locations with obstacles such as: low literacy and limited internet and computer access. Therefore, we have found that delivering the course in a group (projector screen)most convenient for our organization. saving of the answer keys and quizzes is time consuming however with the options to select and deselect course lessons; not sure what that looks like on the software development side to make that a bit of a quicker process. Internet outage = handouts are not adequate to cover material. we have come across was new administrators not knowing how to properly use the software and doing something silly such as deleting a worker opposed to deactivating it. I feel like a mandatory tour- "how to" may help provide new administrators with the proper information/education to effectively use safety sync in their organizations. Quite honestly speaking, with the deadlines and fast paced work environments most of us work in it is extremely tough to find time to explore safety sync and gain a good understanding of the software to be able to use it to its full potential. I myself can not say I have a full understanding of how safety sync can complement my organizations safety program. Last thing is a merge worker feature opposed to a delete worker feature would be a great tool, and save a lot of stress, when all of a sudden we have a new administrator learning the program and they mistakenly delete opposed to deactivate a worker.

There are many HSE programs out there that claim to manage HSE training and certificate tracking, along with day to day safety communication. When we launched Bowron Environmental Group in March of 2015, we looked extensively into the various programs out there. Many appeared to be non-user friendly and in our position as a new start up, we're seen to be excessively expensive. We have found SafetySync's all in $$/user/month billing system, very fair for the product we receive. As with switching to any new systems, there is a bit of a learning curve. With SafetySync, the assistance we were provided when the program was new to us, was exceptional. The exposure to a multitude of safety training programs within SafetySync, at no additional charge to our company, is, in my opinion, one of the most beneficial features. When looking at competitors programs, each course typically came with a charge, which resulted in increased costs. We also utilize SafetySync to communicate safety bulletins to our workers, in which they receive both a text and an email, of which they must read and acknowledge. The program has made vast improvements to the safety communication our management team has been exposed to in the past. I am confident that the utilization of SafetySync has saved our company a significant amount of time and money, at the same time in making significant improvements to our companies safety training, tracking, and communication program. I have recommended SafetySync to several other companies that I deal with, a few of which have moved their systems over and to the best of my knowledge, I have not heard of an unsatisfied customer as of yet. I would not hesitate any HSE manager in looking into SafetySync to see how their systems can improve your safety training programs. Cost - the program is very reasonable considering the access to training programs within the system. Communication - I appreciate the ease in publishing safety bulletins or alerts to all of our workers.

Cons

The only Con I can come up with is that the software appears to do more than what we use it for. I am sure there are other uses we could establish at our company, however, the time I need to invest in learning further has been hard to come by.

### "Safety Sync Review"

Overall Safety Sync has been a great system to keep our safety program organized and up to date. The customer service/support side of the business has really impressed me. I've had a few complications with the system and the team is always there with solutions readily available when we need them. There are a few areas that would be nice to have developed such as competency testing. Currently, there are no competency tests linked to any training that you upload in the system. OSSE audit requirements must ensure that companies are assessing competency after training, so we spend a lot of time doing this manually instead of just having a test in the system. As well - it would be great to have an administration feature to allow you to override the system when employees have manually completed required training outside of the system. Example - if we do a large group training session in the classroom instead of sitting down employees at Safety Sync terminals, their assigned training still shows as due. There is currently no way for the admin to mark it as complete without sending the data to the safety sync team to do for us. This is time-consuming for the Safety Sync team and if we had permissions - we could easily do this ourselves. The new requirement for users needing an email address has also caused us some pain. We are a production facility where the majority of our employees do not have company email. Many of our employees do not want to include their personal email on a work related training tool. As well others do not even have email addresses. As a workaround, we have been creating fake emails just to get users passwords reset or make changes to their account.

Pros

Reporting capabilities showing completed training. Easy to make changes to policies. Good record keeping abilities to show updates made to policies/procedures.

Cons

Lack of ability to test competency.

Ease of use. Whether I'm signing up a new worker or looking for archived information there is never an issue.

Cons

The certificate review. While it is still in the beta form, I liked the old format better.

Safety Sync has made my job of managing a fluctuating personnel portfolio a dream. Our organization's worker numbers can vary from 100 - 250 in a very short period of time. Safety Sync allows me to offer extensive quality online training, import safety tickets, qualifications, credentials and much more into each worker profile. Safety Sync then manages notifications to workers. The scan feature is fabulous the bar code is assigned to each worker, they can scan it, save it and have a digital record of all their training as well as our client specific training. The costs are reasonable, monthly billing based on a number of employees. User-friendly for all level of users.

Pros

User-friendly, change log notifications tell user about new features that have been implemented to enhance the user experience.

use of forms in the field for mobile users could be easier. It can be difficult to complete the forms and upload them on their phones.
