Pros

Ease of use, depth of capabilities, and a seemingly ever growing platform to expand from and with. Honest sales and delivery process too. Implementation was time consuming and is not an easy process... no mater the system.

Cons

Not the cheapest option, sometimes initial set-up tasks are tedious yet rarely difficult. Support is not as immediately available for "short questions" as we might like. They have a 48 hour reply window on all non-system critical support needs... Critical errors have been quite few and attended to immediately.

Overall

Over-all quite satisfied with the EscapiaOne VRS system to date, and the capabilities and report generators continue to expand

Pros

We decided on this product when we started our company because of the virtual access. We worked remotely from our homes and this allowed us to be in different locations and use the software. Also we did not have store the servers on site.
The support Escapia provides is next to none. No other company I have used in the past responds quicker or tries to meet our needs as much as Escapia. This is a company that truly cares if you are having problems. They design reports that meet your needs and work effectively with other software companies - to make implementation and website functionality work appropriately.
Their Reservation grid is fantastic and easy to use as is the service order section.
They send out user reviews automatically which can be pushed out to Escapia Net companies and posted online on websites like Trip Advisor and Clear Stay.

Cons

I have not figured out the new rate engine yet and classic rate engine takes a little bit of time to enter new properties.
I would like to see more amenity searches on the reservation grid.

Overall

I would recommend this product to anyone. The overall functionality is great and I cannot say enough about the support. Which everyone knows that in this industry when something goes wrong is on your biggest check in day of the year - and they have been there with us every step of the way.

Pros

When we started looking for a new software solution in 2001 we came across Escapia through a web search. After reading about the fact that the entire system was web-based we realized how well suited it was for our operation. for example our business office is located in Florida, our properties and operations division is in Cozumel Mexico, one of the company's owners lives in Thailand, and we have employees based in Alabama. Needless to say being web-based really caught our eye. And now; around 10 years later we obviously still think we made the right choice.

Cons

I can't think of any at the moment.

Overall

Without any hesitation I recomend that you check Escapia out. Their customer service is outstanding; however we rarely need it. The system is what I would call intuitive. So you can just start using it from day one without a whole lot of training.

Pros

Escapia is web based, it is easy to use and to train new employees to use. Escapia's product allowed us to remove all of the costs associated with an internal network. Escapia allows us to utilize our IT managers talents on marketing as oppossed to systems. Escapia allows our owners to access information pertinent to them in an easy fashion. Escapia allows us to market our product in real time on over 20 travel based websites when and where we want with the literal click of a button. Escapia allows us to utilize yield management techniques that were unavailable to us in the past. Their support staff is top notch. They value their clients. They do not make promises they cannot keep. We've been with them for 5 years they are still treating our marriage as if it were the honeymoon. I'm not being paid to write this. We are that happy.

Cons

Upgrades that are pertinent to our business do not always make the list for implimentation as quickly as we would like them to. That said, Escapia has never promised that they would. They take a democratic approach to addressing their client bases needs. The majority rules. I'm comfortable with that.
The accounting module was fairly weak at the outset. The good news is they have continually upgarded those abilities with each new version

Overall

I would reccomend Escapia to any Vacation Rental Company looking to enhance the way they do business, create new ways to do business and to shave IT expenses.
