Comments: The system itself is beautifully simple, streamlined and effective - we viewed over 30 systems and they all took weeks to input data and configure the system but with this software it took me an afternoon and we were up and running. We now have a very sleek sign in for Visitors and Contractors with a video for Health and Safety, and all using one iPad .. so not only does the reception are look smart but the process is so simple and creates such a buzz for our clients signing in, and a great first impression. The team at The IPAD Receptionist have been outstanding in their customer support, we look forward to a long professional relationship with yourselves.

Comments: I love that while I am in need of help, I can do a live chat with the tech support. I rarely need help as the system is very easy to use, and works just like it's supposed to, but if there is an issue, they respond almost immediately to all the questions that I have posed to them. They are able to check things out right there, and I get my questions answered. We really like the ease of use, and as the administrator of the system, I love the support we receive and nearly immediate response. Highly recommend the system.

Comments: The Receptionist has been an amazing asset for our team. The customization has been easy and we have been able to adapt the app to fit our company needs. Receptionist also comes with great customer support. They were able to help us solve a problem (user error) in a timely manner. Visitors comment on how nice it is, and our staff are better able to assist the visitors. Having the Receptionist for iPad has been a great investment!

Comments: I did not have a lot of time to find an automated solution to our reception problem. Thereceptionist.com was the first site I found, and I visited two others as comparison. This was the easiest solution in every aspect. Configuring our account was easy, changing it was easy and the few questions I had for tech support were responded too asap. And it is inexpensive enough that I put it on a credit card. Presenting this to the G.M. for approval was a slam dunk.

Comments: Customer support is always fast and reliable. I have used it several times for any questions I have and the solutions are always correct. After using this software on out floor it has peaked the interest of other floors. email messages about the ipad receptionist that come to the user that signed up feel like spam I had so unsubscribe

Comments: The iPad has been extremely helpful and put to use daily. It was the best investment for SMP. The only problems we've had, is when there is an apple update, the iPad is not compatible with the iPad Receptionist app. I have to continually delete and re-download the program and printer. Overall we are very satisfied with the iPad Receptionist. Additionally your tech support team are very knowledgeable and helpful, every time I call for assistance.

Comments: So easy to implement, almost everything is documented. Easy to connect printer to it etc. Have been running it for 2 months with no issues. Have had a lot of positive feedback from visitors saying how professional and easy it is to use.

Comments: We affectionately dubbed our Ipad receptionist "CSR" and she is the first point of contact for our guests. Easy UI. Loved the integration with Slack.

Pros: Simplicity of use

Cons: Not configurable with HipChat

Overall: Our company was looking for an iPad program that could check in and check out visitors, take their photo, notify the person they were visiting of their arrival, have the capability to configure with a badge printer, and be able to export the list of visitors monthly. After much research, we did a free trial of The Receptionist and loved it! The customer support was great during set-up, as configuring the program with the Brother Badge Printer can be difficult. However, support made it simple! This program is easy to use and set up and makes our check-in program look very official. We are very happy with the personalization that this program offers. The only downside is that the program is not yet configurable with HipChat, our messaging system we use (Similar to Slack). Once they implement that, this program will be a 10/10!

Recommendations to other buyers: Make configurable with HipChat

Comments: Setup and installation was simplified due to the detailed instructions that were included with the system.
Training Visitors seems to be our only speed bump, otherwise it has eliminated paperwork and provided electronic trails that can be easily accessed.
Tech support has been prompt and extremely helpful when it was needed.

Comments: Great customer service with rep. Software is somewhat easy to use...should change the fact that the app automatically have the Audio set automatically. Also, please get hip chat configuration, as many companies do not use slack

Pros: Easy to use.

Cons: Sometimes it doesn't want to stay connected to wifi.

Overall: I have used the Receptionist for iPad for a year now. I very rarely run into any tech issues.. and when I do, they are usually very quick to reply and help me get back up and running. Everyone who checks in at our office thinks it's a really cool and "high tech" feature. We will continue to use the Receptionist for iPad for 2017!

Recommendations to other buyers: Badge print out can be a bit difficult to deal with sometimes.

We find that installing a new wifi access point or placing one closer to the iPad solves the problem. Also, be sure to check with our team if you ever having printer issues. Sadly, the Brother printers require a lot of support but I have heard that a new model is coming out soon that will hopefully be less maintenance intensive. Comments: From Box to placement this took us about an hour. We loved the ability to create the menu options and to whom get notified. Very smart system!

Every instance of customer support from a browser chat to emailing has been a delight. This company stands behind their product.

Comments: We took a very long road to get to The Receptionist. We were looking to integrate a similar solution within our case management software but, at the time, that was not an option. When we did discover this platform, it was so clean and simple that it took a few seconds for management to approve. Now with all the upgrades, it's a steal!! Thanks so much.

Comments: My office is large and I'm away from the front desk quite a bit. The iPad Receptionist puts us all at ease. We know visitors will have a way to reach out to their contact in my absence. It impresses our visitors as well! No more archaic handwriting in a lame journal! It is very flexible with features as well and they are constantly improving. Great product and great support.

Comments: I use the receptionist app in my therapy clinic. The clients check in and the therapist receives an email and text when their client arrives, allowing them to continue working at their desk rather than checking to see if the client has arrived yet.
The app easily allows my therapists to sign in and out each day.
The customer support has been great. I use the app in some unconventional manners and Jessica and her team are always there and available to see if we can make it work.
I plan to open two new offices in the coming weeks and The Receptionist App will be displayed prominently in both locations, what better recommendation can I give.

Comments: We have found the Receptionist for iPad to be a large help in tracking users in and out of a secure facility. The automatic badge printing, and ability to text and email employees expecting visitors has made reaching ones contact a much easier experience. I recently had a visitor stop in as an opportunity visit from another country, and was able to know they were visiting and re-direct their contact directly to someone who could facilitate their needs. Beyond the functionality, I have found their customer service exceptional, and very willing to bring new features to improve the functionality overall.

Comments: Our ISO certification requires our company to keep a log of all visitors so our lobby began to use The Receptionist. We've found this application to be useful and very easy. Visitors are so impressed by this system and it gives our customers a good sense of the organized and technologically up-to-date company that we are! The very few problems that we've ever encountered were not only minor but easily and quickly solved by their helpful, professional, and friendly staff. I'd recommend to anyone!

Comments: We 'hired' the iPad Receptionist for our front lobby about one year ago and it's had only 1 sick day ... it lost connectivity when our server hiccuped. We gave it 2 aspirin (a reboot), and it's been solid ever since. Guests find the iPad Receptionist easy to use and as long as company contacts are responsive when notified, it works like a charm. We no longer worry about receptionist coverage, folks hanging around the front desk, solicitors, etc. and, importantly, we no longer have to worry about the attitude of our guest's first point contact here at the office.

Cons: The printed badges, they need some help with design. They are very basic right now.

Overall: We have been using iPad Receptionist for several months now and would highly recommend it to our business partners for use in their facilities. Jessica is always a pleasure to work with and is very knowledgeable about the product and new features we need assistance with! We have audit requirements for the services we provide to our customers so typically we have always used a check in sheet. This product/software has been more efficient, professional, and organized for our processes and procedures.

Recommendations to other buyers: When a software update is out and we update, the software moves around our buttons and settings. Not sure why but this seems to happen every time.

Cons: I don't think the EA / PA should be an additional contact.. as this uses up the number of staff we can add to the system

Overall: Very easy to setup. I found the product very user friendly. It looks very professional on the counter. It has made monitoring of visitors in the building easier, especially with knowing the company and contact number.

Overall: We've been using iPad Receptionist in multiple locations for a couple of years now. The ease of use is amazing. They have made some modifications over the years to allow for some personalization, which is good. We receive a lot of comments about how "cool it is" when our guests arrive.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would extend the conversation time-out length a little longer. If I'm tied up with something and can't respond immediately, I go back to the check-in message and the conversation has ended. I'd like to be able to send a message to someone sitting there - perhaps a large bubble, to get their attention - if they're still sitting there after a few moments. :)

Cons: doesn't order replacement pens for me like the old receptionist ;)

Overall: fantastic support team. They are very supportive, efficient, and positive. I have yet to come across a question that they weren't able to answer quickly.

Pros: None of the other systems tested came close to being competitive in regard to cost and customer service. Another feature we like is the system is regularly being updated with improvements and more options. The people that we have spoken with and emailed at the company give us a real feeling that they care about your needs as a customer.

Cons: The only issue we have had has been that our badge printer is networked and for some reason it occasionally goes to Wifi mode and badges will not print, but the system still notifies the host.

Overall: Before choosing iPad Receptionist we tried 3 other major Visitor Management software systems. We downloaded their free trials (typically 30 day) and purchased some equipment (ipad & badge printer) to have real world experience with all of them. Out of all of them, iPad Receptionist was by far the easiest to set up for the administrator of the system. The visitor sign in/sign out and host notification processes are both intuitive and reliable.

Recommendations to other buyers: Sign up and try it, you wont be disappointed.

Pros: Customizable, easy to use (for admins and visitors), and the visitor log works well for auditing purposes.

Overall: We tested this app for a while before deploying it at our front desk. It's been a great so far, we're very happy with the service, and our visitors are loving it! Being able to customize it (daily, if necessary!) means we can be very responsive to our visitor needs. We are extremely happy with how our visitors have responded to it. Having the log of visitors allows those who need it, access to see who came in and when simply and easily.

Comments: Kudos to the iPad Receptionist Team for building a tool that has more than enough features and yet so simple to manage.

I love the hosted solution (one less service I have to manage on premise).

No extensive end user training required! A simple 10 minute walk through discussion with the users including some real time examples and they knew what to expect and adopted it very quickly.

Comments: Pros: Quick notification, easy to understand, nice look

Cons: Would like there to be more customization options. Some people like the chat feature, while others don't want to be bothered with that. Some people like a simple message to be displayed to their visitors. It would be nice if we could choose individual functions for each contact.

Comments: Our company recently moved into a new office and was looking for a way to eliminate having a reception desk without compromising security. We found the iPad Receptionist and have been very pleased with the look and functionality of the solution. The sales and customer service representatives we worked with went above and beyond to provide a custom solution and to make sure we were pleased. Though the iPad Receptionist occasionally does not charge properly or requires updates, overall we have been very pleased with the solution and we are constantly receiving compliments on the iPad Receptionist from clients, visitors, delivery people and almost everyone who uses it.

Comments: We've had a few issues with the ipad but Jessica Marshall has always been very quick to respond and lends her knowledge. I once used the chat line online to answer questions about the software updates and app update, and they are also quick to respond and their fixes always work. I had to set up a new profile on our ipad and Jessica helped with that. She's also helped with the Receptionist website, getting it set up.

Comments: The software is very simple to set up and easy for visitors to quickly check in. There are definitely more complex applications on the market for organisations who need more than a simple check in and check out process but for our purposes it works great. We have experienced a few technical glitches but nothing more than an update needed on the iPad or app itself. Jason has been great to work with and always quick to respond when we have questions or concerns.

Comments: Visitors can easily reach the party they are scheduled to meet with and delivery personnel are able to get a signature without having to wander down the hall looking for the first person they see. This is a great product for a company like ours that does not have a receptionist!

Comments: The web client makes it easy to upload contacts, set delivery notifications, and designate employees to retrieve specific alerts. The program has made visitors who come to Yik Yak feel more welcomed now that they don┬┐t have to wait outside our doors. Visitors know that their arrival has been recorded and the right person will greet them in a timely manner.

The support that we have received from the iPad team has been great too - my questions or concerns are always responded to in an efficient manner.

Overall, the service is reliable, scalable, and predictable, which makes Yik Yak confident that it will continue to fulfill our needs as the company grows.

Comments: Love the features, the ease of use and overall layout! It is super helpful to have when I cant be up front all the time. New features to have would be nice to have:
1. Would like to be able to set different voices.
2. We attached a printer to print out badges, but not every visitor needs a badge. Would awesome if we could adjust (no badge for delivery's etc.) and let guests select if they need a badge or not or let me add from my computer (check them in/badge print etc.).
3. Would great if I had more control from a desktop perspective. So I can see things like who is checked in, who they are here to see and make sure they check out

Comments: The set up interface was surprisingly easy to use and navigate. We had our system set up and operational very quickly. The customer service is exceptional. Questions are answered immediately and our contact seems to always be available (email or phone) 24/7.

There are a couple features I'd be interested in having that aren't currently available. Based on discussions, it sounds like the iPad Receptionist team is consistently working on new updates and making their system the best available on the market. My initial perception is that the team really listens to their customers and uses feedback received to determine what features to add to the system. I look forward to seeing what comes in the future...

Comments: We have used iPad Receptionist for about 2 years now and are well impressed with the entire process of checking in and out of our guests. The application will send sms notifications to registered mobile numbers to notify them their guest is waiting. You can instantly check the online log of visitors. Visitor labels are self adhesive and can be configured to include a logo and other necessary information. The APP is pretty flexible and has features such as NDA signing as well. There is occasional WIFI issues that the printer drops connection but all you need to do is restart the APP. Customer service and support team is awesome.

Comments: The few negatives is the iPad receptionist is missing a key function we need, however it is being developed. We need the ability to identify the locations of where a visitor is checking in at. We use the same enterprise ID, but have two locations that check-ins occur. Also we use badge printers and there is little to no self customization to manage the complete badge layout.

The Positives: Our visitors love the iPad Receptionist experience as it enhances our existing reception area. Companies that use paper sign in sheets cannot duplicate the accuracy the ipad Receptionist provides for visitor log management. There are few bugs with the app and above all the customer service is exceptional. The product is improving and is adapting well to our Visitor Management Process. I would recommend the iPad receptionist to any company.

Comments: The software and the iPad itself were very easy to set up and configure. The instructions are very light, mostly because the set up process is very simple and mostly automated.
In functionality, it works nearly flawlessly. When a contact is reached by a guest, the contact can be set up to receive an SMS text message which can actually be replied to - very useful when the contact needs to let them know they'll be a moment or if they're out of the office and the guest will need to contact someone else.

The only con is that the recommended wireless printer is only compatible with wireless security up to WPA2 which required me to create an additional wireless network specifically for this printer.

Any time we have encountered an issue with the software or its management console the support has been available, responsive, and knowledgeable. Everything from label formatting, to images not appearing were all resolved in less than 30 minutes with support.

Comments: I was looking for easy to use visitor management software but that also incorporated ITAR compliance - The iPad Receptionist won hands down. There were only a few other products that included this feature but seemed to be much more expensive than iPad Receptionist.

We have received many positive comments from visitors checking in how easy the process is and that they don't need to worry about leaving a badge at the front desk when leaving since it's just a label. It works very well.

A couple of features that would be nice:
1) Create badges with custom layout/font
2) Incorporate recurring visitor entry so they don't have to retype their name/company on every visit.
3) Send an email to an administrator at end of day for people that haven't checked out

Comments: The setup process was a dream, the main problems actually came internally rather than from the iPad receptionist team. Once loaded we were ready to go in an instant. there is a small problem with the iPad logging out some mornings but generally the system is stable. Visitors are very impressed with the look and ease of use, it also helps if we have a temporary member of staff on our reception desk as they don't need to know everyone's name.

Comments: For the last 8 months I have been testing out 10 different receptionist applications to find the best one that suited our companies needs. The iPad Receptionist was the clear winner due to its ease of use, customization, and amazing customer support. We were looking for a notification system that allowed our employees to receive text messages when their guests were in our lobby. We also wanted our admins to be notified as well incase someone was away from their phone. The relay system with The iPad Receptionist is fantastic and allows our admins to be notified if the original employee does not respond within a minute.

USPS and Fedex complained about our last application that we put in the field because they didn't want to type anything in and it was too confusing. With our current system, it could not be easier as they no longer need to type anything in and can choose preset options. We have gotten a lot of positive feedback since the change.

From an admin standpoint, the backend is very easy to use/update. We were able to upload a CSV file with all the information, and set the relay contacts for each contact very easily.

The price is also very reasonable. It fell within the middle, price wise, out of the 10 applications I tested.

The customer service has been phenomenal! Their response time is great, and they are always very nice. Even more important though, I have submitted 2 bug reports that were taken care of within days, and have submitted feature requests that came out in later versions.

It has been great working with The iPad Receptionist as they have made my job a lot easier.

Comments: We wanted something more sophisticated for our lobby that visitors can sign-in on.
It is easy to use, easy to manage and with a minimal start up cost.
There are upgrades to the software frequently and you can make suggestions of any enhancements you need and they will see if it could be implemented.
Great customer service and the cost is a great value.

Comments: I love that it makes the patients experience flow very smooth. Some small fixes that are in the works will make this the perfect product for my uses. I love that I can connect by Bluetooth my speaker and run my music app while patients are still able to check and navigate the menus with ease. It is very user friendly for all that come to check in with the company. I like the fact that each contact can be notified that they have someone waiting. I am able to track my patients through this app and that make my job a little easier. This product and the company of customer service has always been a pleasure to deal with. Comments: i am pretty tech/app deficient and thanks for the great support from Ben on many countless times i had to call him, i was able to get the app up and running and our tenants are pleased. it looks clean and non cluttered compared to the old paper sign in log.

Ben and his tech team were able to work on a couple of bugs for me and i am satisfied.

i had originally gone with another app and actually paid for it but there was absolutely no phone or chat support. i emailed them and in a day or two or three they would respond....not good

Comments: I like the customized look and feel. Customer service has been great for any questions as well. Also, there tech and sales team are very responsive and willing to help any way they can. Their roadmap to the future appears to be in line with what i am asking for. It is easy to use and make a great impression to our visitors.

On a side note, there are features I would have expected to be in place already considering the age of this product. The cost is a little high for the Application, considering its early stages.

Comments: Your product was one of many receptionist solutions. I felt that to setup the interface for The Receptionist app, was extremely easy and definitely fit the needs that we were looking for. Our company discussed a 2,000 dollar project of implementing software, and hardware that would replace our current receptionist and upgrade us to a digital sign in device.

The owner was able to use his frequent flyers miles to get a free Ipad to setup a possible electronic sign in procedure for our front desk. I found your app to be simplistic and easy to setup and customize. I have shown the application to my supervisor and other individuals that were in my testing group and they love it! I am very excited to see more customization features, but currently it meets all of our requirements that were looking for.

Comments: We have been using the iPad Receptionist since May 2013 and everyone in our organization loves it. No matter where you are (at your desk, at someone else's desk, in a meeting, out of the office, etc), you can receive a quick SMS and/or email that a visitor is waiting for you up at reception - and can even start up a quick conversation with them!

The iPad Receptionist is quick to setup, easy to configure, and simple to manage. If you ever need support or assistance, their support team is always there to help you.

I definitely recommend this product!

Clients/visitors can now enter our Reception area, plug their info into the iPad and instantly reach the staff member by email and/or text message. Comments: iPad Receptionist Customer service has always been quick to respond and helpful! We've had a good experience with the product overall since we started using it a few weeks ago. Our engineers and folks sitting at the front of the office no longer have to play receptionist. and I no longer have to run up to the front of the office to wait for visitors.
I do wish it were easier to upload contact lists into the software and it would be awesome if the photos that people snap at the front door came through with the text notification when visitors arrive.
