Pros
Works great for our needs. In a couple instances I find myself wishing for greater flexibility, but we're using AppStack for something other than it's intended purpose, so I really can't complain. It's easy to set up and easy to use, which is what we needed.
Cons
Not quite as flexible/customizable as we'd like, but we understand the limitations. Not a dealbreaker by any means.

This system is very effective and efficient. We are a Federal Contractor so first priority was capturing EEO/AA info for all applicants. This system does this and also provides ongoing, updated reports with a simple click.
I no longer have to spend hours going through resumes that are unsolicited or incomplete. Applicants can only apply for open positions online and I am now able to add and score position specific questions which saves time spent screening.
I think the most surprising aspect of ApplicantStack is the prompt service provided when issues arise, which has been limited.

I have just begun using Applicant Stack and am exploring the extent of its capabilities. I am very excited about how much Applicant Stack simplifies our hiring process. Any time I have a question or want another feature, the support team gets back to me within 24 hours. I have learned several tricks to doing what I want. When I request a new feature, the support team is on it quickly and finds a way to make it happen. I am very happy with this system, the support, and the responsiveness of your team.

Any con I can think of is something I have already asked about and the support team is working on finding a fix for it.
Overall
This product is so simple to use, customer service is phenomenal, and the knowledge base is very in-depth. Thank you guys!

The configuration of the entire program is very user-friendly. I've never used any sort of applicant tracking system before, yet could easily navigate ApplicantStack. And the Support Portal has everything one could ever need! Even so, if a question is too organization- or job-specific to be included in the portal, Faith Bliga is prompt and thorough in her responses to inquiries.
Cons
The cost is high. Compared to sites like theresumator.com, ApplicantStack doesn't offer a price reduction if you only need to post a few jobs. You must pay for unlimited postings regardless.
Overall
Overall, the pipeline feature is something my higher-ups love, so that they can peek in whenever they like and have all the information neatly summarized for them. The questionnaire creation process is better than I've seen with other hiring systems, but worse than the survey sites we as an organization are used to. Basically, what you see in the free trial is what you get in the paid version, so if you like it, buy it!

By far the best part is the customer support, actually. I feel as if I'm their only customer. :) Everyone gets back to me quickly, and with the answers I need. As for the software itself, I'm thrilled with using it so far. I love how customizable it is!

Very few cons. Some of the bugs I've run across have been worked out very nicely. Most of them are user error. :)

Product was up an running immediately, product support extremely helpful and responsive, easily tracks beginning to end on applicants, system is constantly being upgraded with new features and improvements, customization ability, workflow and history captured perfectly, and searching capability is powerful.
Customer service has been able to suggest a solution for everything we've thrown at them.
Cons
While the product was easy to learn to use, it was a little confusing at first to decide our company's best practice. This was mainly from not having a system in place prior to the purchase of this one. After an additional demo with the owner and explanations of how certain features and functionality might help our company there are no complaints.
Overall
I would highly recommend this product to small or mid-sized companies without blinking. The cost is unbeatable for the service and product you receive. Highly recommend a demo or trying out the site yourself.

Responses include spam advertisements from head hunters and sexual aids which may cloud report summaries.
Didn't screen out applicants not authorized to work in the U.S. (Set-up issue?)
Didn't get many legitimate responses, but that might not be the software's fault, but rather the nature of our special requirements for our industry and an overall engineering talent shortage.

We use Applicant Stack to compile a database of our international nursing candidates who are interested to work in the United States. The software is very versatile and allows us to create all necessary areas to input the required information for each candidate. The database is searchable based on each input area.

1) Reporting feature - haven't had a lot of time to focus on the reporting, but at first glance may not have everything we need.

We've been very impressed with everything about the product. Its extremely easy to use with well thought out features. The import resume function blew us away. The system captures data from word documents or pdfs and self populates data fields. While its not 100% accurate, it is a significant time save over typiing in the information.

Once you understand the program and know how to use it, it is very easy and provides all the information that you need.
Cons
At first learning how to use the program and changing some settings was difficult. There is no user's guide, so you have play with the system, and finding the correct location to make any changes is hit and miss.
The formate in which the admin user views the applicant I do not like. It shows the application as question and answer, I would rather the application look as it appears to the applicant.
Overall
Overall, I really like Application Stack and would absolutly recommend it to anyone that does not currently have an online application process. It has made my job so much more easier.

Applicantstack was much more cost effective than hiring a recruitment firm of using an online recruiting site. It allows for sufficient flexibility to guarantee the same results.

I wish if it offered more control over the job board where I could change the welcome message at will or set-up actual departments on the job board.

The application is perfect and they set it up exactly the way it was designed. On the questionnaire you are able to score applicants according to qualifications and certain questions you mark for scoring.
Cons
Application - cannot view all # of applications by scrolling through pages where they are listed. Example - out of 462 applications we received, it will only let me view 221 of those according to stage. Still haven't figured out how to view all regardless of the stage.
Questionnaire - The scoring/rating section is not easily obtainable, still have to search on how to rate my questions and when you make any changes to a questionnaire they will not take because they are linked to previous applications. So at that time you have to recreate new questionnaire with changes and attach to job and make sure you delete the other or unattach the other questionnaire. Kind of a pain when you are in a hurry.
Overall
Actually have a scoring/rating icon in the box next to the questionnaire where you have the delete, edit, clone, etc. icons so it is just a click of that icon and go straight to the scoring of that questionnaire.

Product set up was taken care of by ApplicantStack and was painless. They created my template quickly and were amenable to make some changes I requested. Customer service is excellent. Not only did they take care of problems quickly they actually modified a couple features based on feedback.
The default workflow is set up in a logical fashion which really helped as we weren't sure what the best process would be. The automation features are useful and a real time saver. The reports and ability to add custom fields to the back and front end allow customization.
The ability to build reusable questionnaires, email and job listing templates is great. The recently added layout templates add so good additional functionality for more advanced formatting of the front end.
The application also generates job specific links and email addresses so that you can post them in other forums.
There is more but I didn't intend to make this a feature list. Good, easy to use solution.
Cons
I would like to see the question page layout feature continue to evolve to include some type of editor - not really a 'con' as this is brand new functionality.
I think the questionnaire needs some 'label' and 'image' components so you can add additional instructions to your app.
A multipage form option would also be useful. We have a multipage job application which would mean lots of scrolling down. We opted to use a smaller initial form and just send the full application to those who pass a certain point in the hiring process but it would be nice to have all our legal mumbo jumbo in there.
There are a few areas where I'd like more control - perhaps adding header and footer areas where you can customize the content.
These are more 'features that I'd like added' than cons.
Overall
Overall recommendation is 9.5 out of 10. The product does the job. It has good core features. Customer service is superb. If you need a job board and can't have custom programming done, or don't want to buy a big, bloated or overly complex system that you'll have to install and maintain then I think this is a great choice. We've had it online for about two weeks now. We have had a few hundred applicants for 4 job postings. We were able to quickly process the apps and hhave hired three people so far without having huge piles of paper.

I love that we now have an online application that is visually seamless on our existing website.
The applicant function are easy to use and quick to learn, and the interface is intuitive. It is great to be able to search for past candidates by name or skill set!
Posting a new job takes less than 2 minutes, and I appreciate the ability to forward emailed resumes into the database. Plus with just a few clicks, I can email regrets to all of the candidates not selected for a posting.
Finally, the few times I have needed some assistance, ApplicantStack staff have been quick to respond.
Cons
Navigating the setup menus can be a little confusing at first.

I have looked at every applicant tracking system Capterra has listed and at least fifty more. Detail tested thirty systems that seem to fit from their decription. I've selected ApplicantStack because of its logical layout and straight forward design and easy of learning. Adding new fields to your Applicant or Job records is very simple to do and can be done in under two minutes. Need job specific pre-screening questions? I haven't found a better system then ApplicantStack . Their tech support has been outstanding, email or call and they respond very fast. If you think of something that would be helpful, your ideas will be discussed with you. I express thanks to ApplicantStack, for there outstanding system and helpfulness.

We like the ability to customise the workflow, this is extremely easy and very powerful. Uploading CV's from an inbox is easy. We have not tried to have applicants reply directly to ApplicantStack. However, this would be very useful in the future.

I have been the CEO of several companies both small and large. I or my HR department has purchased many different recruitment and candidate tracking software, even paying as much as $70,000. ApplicantStack.com was easy to get functioning, easy to learn, and easy to implement. It has saved me many 100 hours every time we hire. Even our candidates have had positive thing to say about how easy and informative compared to other companies recruitment portal/website. It is so much more featured than other products that are 10x the cost yet Applicantstack is easy to learn and use - very well thought out and designed. Well worth the cost - best money spent!
Cons
They advertise as small to medium, but it has so many features and is multiuser that I would recemmend any large company to take a serious look.
