Heath H
Manager
4.0

Heath H.: My name is Heath. I am part of a storage unit company that I'm the manager of. We only have several employees and I would give the Microsoft Lens app a four out of five rating. Typically, I use Microsoft Lens for scanning documents. I've used that mainly, actually, for that reason. We live in a rural community where we have not great access to certain tech. We have printers that sometimes, for whatever reason, would not scan for, so we have these big, expensive printers that don't even scan like they're supposed to. I just found the app trying to find something to scan, and that's the main app that I use now to scan documents. It's really easy to use, and I can use it anywhere. One of the best reasons about Microsoft Lens is that it's free. I was looking for other apps that I could use on my phone, but a lot of them you had to pay for or had to have subscriptions added to. And as far as I've ever used Microsoft Lens, it's always been free, and I've never really had any problems with it. It's kind of done everything that I needed it to do, and the results from it are good. I don't really have much complaints about it as far as using it, and it's always been helpful when I need it to be. I'd say it was pretty easy to get started with it. There's a few things here and there that I kind of had to figure out. Overall, I'd say it's a user-friendly app. It's just if you've never used it before, just like anything else, you just have to kind of figure it out as you go. But once you start using it, it gets easier. I will say they have made it more user-friendly the more years that I've used it. Any updates they do to it, it seems to be a little better as they go. I don't know what input they're getting, but they're doing the right things, apparently. I would say that if you're looking for an app that scans documents, that's absolutely one that I would recommend. It's, again, very easy to use, and it's nice that you can use it anywhere. I get that a lot of times you can use printers or scanners that are probably more efficient for maybe bigger documents or more documents, but for something that's on the fly that you need to do, maybe if you're doing a meeting with a customer that's just in a location that's outside your office and you need to scan something real quick, you can do it in no time at all. I would definitely recommend it for that specific application, for scanning documents. But even other applications that you can use for as far as just taking a picture of texts on a board. If you're in meetings, it will actually transcribe that text onto your phone, and actually sometimes you have a setting where you can read it out loud, not that you should do that during a meeting, but it's helpful in that sense if you are not great at note-taking, like me, and you need something that's kind of quick and easily accessible.
