Any company looking to expand their internal social network.
We have been using Glasscubes now for a few months and have found the software easy to use intuitive and powerful, Support is fantastic and the pricing model really suits a high tech SME like AIE.
System outages are terrible and disrupt our whole operation.
My experience has been good and I'd describe Glasscubes as an awesome tool for large projects like the One Ocean Hub.
At the moment, I did not find much to critique about, so I have no comments for now.
The technical support is terrific. Glasscubes responds quickly and they are proactive.
Sometimes when clicking the 'back' button to allow you to go back to the previous screen, it lags. And goes back too far (2-3 screens) than your current screen.
The ease of use and support is fantastic. I save so much time by using Glasscubes.
I found it really hard to use at the beginning and it wasn’t really well explained.
This helps to build better relationship between team members while posting gatherings, project success stories and some team work fun stories and also by setting up knowledge base.
I think that oftentimes the email distributions are obnoxious.
It’s fun to be able to connect and have fun with my coworkers through this platform. I can share photos and comment on other peoples posts as well.
Having a collaboration tool for businesses doesn't mean to make it boring.
What I loved about this platform is the ease and security of communication between workers.
Notifications come fast & furious. Too many emails into my inbox notifying me that someone made a comment or new "post.
Company update can be sent to all members just like using an email, while documents, images and videos can be shared within it. It is cheap, sign up is free and have good customer support.
Sometimes the layers of communication are confusing. Don't know if this is meant to replace another product we use or what the intent of Yammer is but we use for internal company communications.
Samuel: I'm Samuel. I'm global coordinator reviewing Glasscubes. For Glasscubes specifically, I would give it a three star review. For more reviews like this, click below. So previous to Glasscubes, most of our work and shared drive was via Google Drive, which was a very useful platform. And when we migrated and kind of grew as an organization, the security with Google Drive was questionable so we changed to Glasscube as it was a much more secure way of sharing kind of documents and storing them kind of within an internal system. So we reviewed a couple of different software. Glasscubes kind of stood out the best just because of how easy it is to adapt the home screen layout. The way we can actually modify folders and make it a kind of all source platform where our officers from around the world can access their own workspaces and other workspaces based on what we allow them to access. So just kind of gave us much more control over everything that we had online. And being able to share everything internally was the kind of real key feature. I found actually Glasscubes was a little bit complicated to use. We actually had to hire a systems administrator to actually get it set up. And the transition from Google Drive to Glasscubes was very slow for most of the staff, especially our staff which were overseas. We're two years in and still staff are using Google Drive just because they're more familiar with it. There are a lot of key benefits with Glasscubes when it comes to the restricted sharing of sensitive information, especially around GDPR laws and things like that, that we have to comply with. But once you are familiar with the platform, it has some really key benefits for collaboration. My advice for anybody considering or getting Glasscubes is really to invest the time into training staff in how to use it. It's not as user-friendly as Google Drive. It's not something that people will pick up naturally. It does actually require some training in learning how to use it. And the security aspects, although they're great, it can be quite frustrating at times if you're sharing documents outside of your organization. So that's a real key thing to bear in mind. That kind of external collaboration on key documents is a real barrier. So for our organization at least, we still need OneDrive and Google Drive for sharing documents that need to be directly edited with other organizations in kind of a live fashion. But yeah, a key recommendation would really be to take it slow and invest the time in training staff in how to use that platform.
Kipp M.: Hi, my name is Kipp. I'm a senior consultant. I give Yammer four out of five stars. For more reviews like this, click below. So with Yammer, our organization is solving two main business problems. One, in a pandemic, it's been really tough to connect with colleagues when we're all virtual. So communities on Yammer, such as the beer and wine club or the cooking club have been great to connect with colleagues while we're all apart. Second is more tactically focused on proposals. When you're looking for qualifications for work that we've done, it's great to reach out on Yammer to find someone who's looked at a project like yours so they can provide some expert opinions as you're submitting your proposals for your work. There are two really main things I like the most about Yammer. One is the communities function where all kind of conversations are segregated into different threads and services to keep track of who's communicating about what and why. Second is the numbers associated with those communities when you're checking updates. It allows you to figure out where the most activity is happening and where there's active communities amongst the organization. What I like least about Yammer is when someone makes an announcement. It generates about six notifications coming from email to Yammer to Microsoft Teams. It's just a little bit excessive when sometimes someone's just posting about a new recipe they found or a non-urgent question.
