Altar Live is used by churches of all sizes for Sunday services, fellowship time before and after, and throughout the week.
Churches large and small use this simple, yet powerful church presentation software to project lyrics, Scriptures, media and sermon notes while also allowing control remotely via their Remote App.
The folks at Altar Live have been responsive and super helpful. They have been a delight to work with.
Initially I found some of the constraints (four people in a row, for instance) to be an irritating challenge.
I find the team supportive and helpful and responsive, and I really like what they have developed.
Our online broadcast was primarily on Facebook and it was so limiting - some people aren't on Facebook, those that are on are hesitant to comment for the entire world to see.
I love all the features of Altar Live. Especially the ability to have organized break-out rooms and the ability to assign hosts to those tables prior to meeting.
Many of our users have had trouble logging onto the platform.
The emphasis on community interaction is great. Setting up meeting rooms that we can gather in at anytime is a great addition.
I haven't used this long enough to find the things that frustrate me.
My experience with EasyWorship has been excellent. Their Customer Service has been outstanding in assisting with any account related or technical issues we have encountered.
Only, frustration I have is from time to time the programming will lock up while building schedules. Not all the time, but when I am in a rush so probably user error.
The ease of access for this program is phenomenal, and it allows you to be at ease during church services. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in finding something different.
Easy Worship 6 is absolutely terrible. It crashed, half the features don't work consistently, and system for importing and organizing content is horrible.
I love it, the quality of the picture is great. The videos are updated for each season.
It was really hard to take off the watermark and that really frustrated me.
If you have certain styles you want followed on a regular basis its easy to create the style and just know that the content will be displayed like you want it to be.
Tie in to EW 2007 - Lost a lot of songs during update.
Joel B.: Hi, I'm Joel. I'm a pastor at a church in Ontario, Canada, and I give EasyWorship a five out of five rating. When we decided to use EasyWorship, we were a really small congregation, didn't really have a ton of options at the time, and so EasyWorship was really the best on the market. There was a few free options out there, but the graphics quality and just the easiness of the programming itself just wasn't there. And EasyWorship topped the scales for us. The reasons we chose EasyWorship is actually wrapped up in the name EasyWorship. It was really easy to use. We had children at the age of eight years old running the software in our services all the way up to people who weren't super tech-savvy, adults who weren't very versed with the computer. So that was the real motivation for using it so that it could be versatile across our congregation. Anybody could volunteer and be part of that ministry. Onboarding with EasyWorship was great. They had lots of videos that gave us tutorials on how to run songs, update song lists, change slides, transition screens, even changing the formatting of slides. They made it really super simple with their great support on online, and even when we had questions that went beyond the average video that was available, there was always support tech people involved that were able to answer our question in a very timely manner. My recommendation for using EasyWorship is making sure, or choosing if you're going to use EasyWorship or another software, just line up your priorities next to the software you're going to use. For us, priorities didn't include video streaming or things of that nature. Priorities for us was ease of use for anybody in our church that could just sign on and within a few short sessions of tutoring, they could learn how to use the software relatively. So just make sure you're lining your values up with your purchase.
