Designed for businesses of all sizes, it is a scientific graphing and data analysis solution that enables users to automate processes for creating customizable charts and graphs.
Cloud-based and on-premise programming, modeling and simulation platform that enables users to analyze data, create algorithms, build models and run deployed models.
Clean interface and easy to use. The software looks good and the plots produced are good looking with good quality for publishing.
If you get frustrated by ArcGIS, don't use Sigmaplot. Sigmaplot is way more frustrating.
It is amazing how easily it creates the graphs based on the information provided, it has totally provided an advantage of having these graphs for easier to understand data representation.
Occasional problems with pasting in data that require reformatting.
I have been impressed with its ability to create exact graphs of scientific data while not having unnecessary layers of complexity.
The software provides the option, but unfortunately it is a bit clunky. I often struggle with knowing what the software needs (e.g., starting initial values?) or how to identify the parameters.
The graphs dont see like simple toys, are vero professional and complete. Its really good for make the graph and visualizations for papers and similar publications.
It do not support complicated dataformats such as netcdf, hdf etc.
With its all the functionality (and with appropriate training) it was the perfect tool for the task.
When you get the error, its very hard for me to find the mistakes I have done.
Another very good point about MATLAB is its ability to manipulate data and generate interactive visualizations, which have helped me to communicate results effectively.
If I hadn't had the training I received during my undergrad I would have been completely lost.
It's a powerful language with an intuitive interface, but it is best for matrix operations, decomposition, optimization tools, linear algebra, and the like.
The code is a bit finicky sometimes, and for new users it can be difficult to understand why you are getting error messages on your code.
The were a robust community file exchange that was amazing for finding code for specific tasks. Overall it was very easy to debug and learn thanks to the amount of great resources for it.
The only bad thing I find is that the it requires lots of space in our computer system and makes it slow, freeze up system if RAM is less than 4GB.
Joshua: My name is Joshua, and I work with [inaudible 00:00:03]. I'm rating Matlab five out of five. I started using Matlab where we needed to create some statistical models. So, I would recommend you to use Matlab if you ever have any statistical model you want to do, and it's pretty much easier to deploy and to use. My best part of Matlab, its deployment on virtualization. So, you could have your Matlab server deploy in Agile, deploy in AWS, or any other cloud service, and you can have your VDIs, which means you can have your Matlab being replicated on all your virtualizations with one single license, which makes it a lot of sense. Yeah. One of the bottlenecks around Matlab is when you try to renew your license, it could take you forever, because every installation for every update is always different. So, you might need to contact Matlab customer care to help you, guide you in renewing your license and uploading and installing the new license, because it's obviously so different. That is the only problem, the only issue I have with Matlab.
