Companies of all sizes looking to increase their employee productivity and manage time well.
Perfect for companies! DeskTime is a simple and secure time tracking app that lets you increase your company's effectivity and productivity.
Thanks to a great blog they have (many useful time management articles) I stumbled upon their productivity course. The quality of that course made me rethink using RescueTime on a daily basis.
You'll see where you are wasting too much time, and what you have to cut out in order to stop losing attention on what really matters. Tip for the development team.
I love how simple it is to use. It's very intuitive and has pretty rich data if you are curious to dig into how you focus and spend your time.
The information architecture and content at the dashboard page is the biggest problem, a simple redesign could do miracles.
I would definitely recommend it to everybody, even if you don't have a professional need for it, just the insights it gives you (even in the free version!) are truly amazing.
I use this software al all of my basic projects when I am working alone on them.
Please do, invest in design, the product is good and affordable, a good UI/UX project can bring a great perception of value.
I mainly use it to track the amount of time I spend on different activities throughout the day and week. The app and software are quite handly, although lack the polish and finish in UI & UX.
Interface is very good and the way data is displayed is excellent. Automated screenshots every 3 mins is a very good feature.
There's no lie, just facts: you will confront your time spent actually working and procrastinating. And it's worse than it sounds: you are not working with quality.
As for customer support, it is great so far as well as the quality of service. I also have to mention that some of the features provided are also very impressive and interesting.
Might put a negative effect on employees when all of their activities are tracked and recorded.
I love everything about the software. It is so easy to use and it helps when i have investigations to do.
Updated version is mess. Almost different app/software.
The set of features available for the pricing has been very much useful and accurate and the Screenshots feature is the most awesome.
Order has no specific purpose. There should be weekly report for flagged behavior.
Eero: My name is Eero. I'm a digital entrepreneur, and I rate RescueTime five out of five. More reviews like this, check below. I use RescueTime to track my time. Basically it works in the background, and later I get really valuable information on how I use my time. So I get to make some changes if they're necessary. And prior to using RescueTime, there were many things I was doing that were not so productive as probably many can agree that they might have the same problem. But with RescueTime, I get really clear and visual idea of what kind of things take time, especially online sitting on the computer and doing things. And it just happens that not everything is always useful. So what I really liked about RescueTime is it was really easy to set up. Most of the categories were already there. It can automatically categorize most of the things online, most of the programs I use. So it was really easy to start. Of course, I was doing a lot of my own categorization later, which is also very practical. It's very easy in RescueTime, so I liked that as well. I like the visual interface. It's very useful to visually see. I'm a visual person, so when I look at the dashboard, I can see immediately, okay, so this is what went wrong, and this is what went right. Also, I like the reports that arrive every week. And I see it's a pretty clear picture of how last week was in terms of how I spent time. If I have to point one thing that I don't like about RescueTime is that sometimes you're doing things on two devices at the same time. You may work on your computer and you may talk on the phone. And what happens is that RescueTime is tracking both of the devices and it records both of those times. So let's say in half an hour, I spent 15 minutes on the phone and half an hour on the computer, it will show that I used 45 minutes, which is not accurate. I hope that they will fix that or make it a little bit more automatic to fix that in the future. But apart from that, I really liked the program.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
