Kelsey K
Doctor of Physical Therapy
5.0

Kelsey: I'm Kelsey, and I'm a doctor of physical therapy of a clinic of about 10 people, and I give IntakeQ a five out of five. WebPT was the EMR that we were using prior to IntakeQ. It's rather cumbersome. It does have a lot of built-in features. However, it's not very editable, and so, we like IntakeQ because we can customize it to fit our needs, whether that's the cash pay direction or just general form layout and things. We can edit all of those just as you would a Word document. I like IntakeQ because it's affordable. It's also very customizable, so we have been able to intake all of the forms that we would normally have patients do on paper into IntakeQ in a format that they can select on the screen with an iPad, and we like that we're not having to scan in those documents anymore. We can just use them right there within the EMR. Also, we like the idea that we have the customer support, so anything that we don't know how to figure out ourselves, we have a huge database of information on how to do things, and then, also, generally, they respond within a couple hours on something that we can't find to make things the way we want them. IntakeQ allowed us to set up immediately so there was no delay in authorizations or things needed. In order to start that process, they even have a two-week period of trial that you can just try out the system, so that was a very nice setup. There are some features that did take us a little bit longer to set up, to create within the system, such as the intake forms for functional measures and things that we would use in physical therapy, but that was able to be done. It just took a little bit of time. And they do also offer a $9 pay charge if you want them to do it for you. We opted to do it ourselves, and we were able to do that just with a little bit of setup time. My advice for anyone getting IntakeQ would be to start immediately. They do have that free trial, and I think that once you get inside, that you will recognize how user-friendly and easy to customize this program is. And so, my advice is just to start right away.
