Once I set my parameters, its remarkably fun and easy to produce bid after bid and be in the middle with all my competitors and be awarded 80% of my bids.
Pre-Bid changes are becoming more frequent. I used to dread this especially when the addendum plans are not clouded.
The ability to carry multiple tables for labor (shop or field) is also a nice feature if you do different kinds of work or have your own time-studies for certain products.
I tried to open FastDuct and got an error message. 10pm on a Sunday night and not only did I get a phone call from the president but he had me up and running in a few minutes.
The interface is pretty easy to learn. The customer service is the best I have encountered.
An example would be to insert a metalbetsos catalog ,or a norfab. Also the workbook they provide is full of errors that take time to fix.
The people from owner to developers and service technicians are very good people and willing to help.
There is no shortcut keys within this software. That means all repetitive tasks need to be clicked through step after step.
I love the integration with the other platforms I use for my business. Scheduling and communication with my clients is fantastic.
You don't ever think your system has has flaws with is terribly wrong because this systems has problems constantly. I have tried to get help several times and its a joke 90% of the time.
We love this for scheduling and reviews. I went through about 6 CRM software before this and I love how it is an all in one solution.
There have been several bugs and issues that go days unacknowledged and then take days to fix, meanwhile interrupting the flow of my business and causing errors for my customers.
It scheduled multiple meetings and calls, perfectly generates invoices and best support in billing and pricing. Customer support solves every query it is an important factor.
Customer service told me I manually deleted missing item that I did not delete and offered no solution to thousands of dollars of missing billable work.
The customer service is (literally) the best I've ever dealt with. The user experience is really nice and friendly for anybody and it keeps getting better with each version of the software.
The employee time tracking sucks, in out only other programs show the the time thought out the day of each but that minor.
Damien: Hi. I'm Damien. I'm an HVAC professional. I have my own company. And I give Housecall Pro a five out of five. I've used a couple other companies for the services of dispatching and things of that nature. The first would be SuccessWare, which was a company owned program, which was okay. It did the job. The other one was a pretty big company, ServiceTitan, which is a great program however, not really meant for someone with probably less than 50 trucks. It's quite an expensive process, an expensive program to use. I use Housecall Pro because it's cost-effective for me and any small business, really. It still gives you all of the benefits, or near about all the benefits that a ServiceTitan would and it's geared more for people like me. Yes, I chose Housecall Pro due to its price, especially for a small business like mine, the functionality, the benefits of it, and I can bring my wife in, who has never even done HVAC, and she's able to excel in there, and to send out postcards and notify customers and book appointments, with little to no training at all. It's a very, very good program designed for someone like myself. Integrating Housecall Pro was super easy for me. All I did was stay on the phone call with the guy for about 30 minutes, get all the information. And because I had done something similar to it in the past, it helped me out a little bit more. They have plenty of tutorials and standby assistance for anything that you may need. They have chat. It's super easy. Housecall Pro would definitely be a choice for anybody starting in the HVAC industry at least in my experience. I've worked with several other companies that provide somewhat similar things. I've been asked to try other programs, but Housecall Pro is where it's at. It's the best priced, best functionality, best benefits that I've ever seen.
