Capterra’s researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Capterra carefully verified over 2 million reviews to bring you authentic software and services experiences from real users. Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI. Learn more.
Capterra lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. Capterra is free for users. Software and service providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website. The site also has very good documentation if you need help. We hooked the software into one of their partner credit card processors (they have many with very good fees as well).
Unfortunately, we had an outbreak in our organization and had to go totally online.
Tofino is super easy to use, customer services is beyond amazing and the program has great support and tutorials to help everyone along the way.
The sponsorship set up was confusing at first. We solicit year-long sponsors, instead of event-specific sponsors.
Easy to use, great help guides, great polished website/user experience for bidders, great reporting functionality.
No option to suppress unavailable physical bidder paddle numbers (when using existing paddles). Silent auction tab sheet doesn’t continue to a second page for more entries.
We have used SchoolAuction.net since 2014 and plan to continue to do so. Its best feature is that the customer service is excellent and the YouTube videos and Help screens are clear and user-friendly.
There wasn't anything that I saw as a negative about this software. I do wish the price was a little lower, but I think in the long run it paid for itself.
It's the exceptional customer service that fosters loyalty and encourages promotion. Thrilled that this USA-based platform has expanded its presence to Australia.
I hate putting cons in here compared to how bad I consider their competition.
From the beginning, we have been impressed with how friendly and support of the staff has been.
The other platforms we abandoned appear to have been developed by people that understood databases but not fundraising or the technical level of the people who would be using it.
Gratitude to the outstanding team at Better Unite, especially a remarkable member who patiently guided me in using the platform.
People were frantically texting me asking me for a link to the auction or a QR code they could use and I had NO IDEA how to get that info.
When I have had a request, she has fulfilled it and answered my questions fully. She has never made me to feel like any question is stupid, and answers with a wonderful attitude the same question.
The only thing I struggle with in BetterUnite is the reports, but they are currently working on completely revamping their reporting.
Nicole W. : Hi. My name is Nicole and I'm a development director in the nonprofit industry, and I give SchoolAuction.net a five out of five. Before we chose SchoolAuction.net we were using Maestrosoft. We found that with that software, number one, it was only located on a few devices, not cloud-based like SchoolAuction.net is. We also found that it wasn't very user-friendly and we also noticed that it was more expensive. So SchoolAuction.net ended up being a really great option for us. We chose SchoolAuction.net number one, because it was very affordable. We noticed that we could run four events on SchoolAuction.net where other software's only offered one. We also chose it because of its great support. I noticed that when I decided to sign on the person in charge of the company walked me through for an hour on the phone about how to use it as well. SchoolAuction.net was very easy to onboard, number one, because of its amazing help system that is easy to search, and online walkthroughs as you were doing each task. We felt that that was a really easy process. As well, they gave a 30 day free trial so we could explore things without committing right away and have time to get used to it. Some helpful tips for those considering SchoolAuction.net are number one, to explore the printed materials because the bid sheets really help stock a lot of the work for you. They're very easy to use and they look great. The other thing is their card readers are given on a donation basis, and so you may want to ask the company about how to access those card readers for your event. The last thing I would say is just to be aware that the credit card processing is a little tricky on the end. You have to process individually and we believe this is for security reasons. It does take some time, so just to be aware of that with this software.
