Designed for single store pawn shops, gold dealers and jewelry stores who are unable to use a cloud based point of sale solution
Rain specializes in niche retail markets including Music, Ski, Surf, Dive, Toy, Apparel, Quilt, Sewing, and Craft stores. It simplifies business operations and helps increase total sales.
Great Pawn software that has all the functionality needed for running a successful Pawn Business. Great team and support to work with and is always very responsive and supportive.
Find another provider; they are horrible at service. There is no training provided, and they cost 3x more than anyone else.
Customer service talks with great respect and courtesy. The reports are very useful and specific to certain info.
This is not the only time we have had trouble with their customer service.
Ease of use and PMs outstanding customer service. PM is always ready and able to help us with any questions we may have.
This happened before, I gave up and called after 2 days of waiting. I hate it when they give me the run around from tech to tech.
A big advantage is you can pick and choose what best fits your store operation when setting up your software and always contact Pawnmaster if change is necessary in the future.
One time, I had 4 people working on a problem and the final outcome was an "ANOMALY", no one knew what happened. Callbacks are 50/50, many times I had to call them back and see what was going on.
In the beginning support was good and they really seem to care about helping your business grow. Now they want to add stuff that I don't need and keep raising the price.
We are Canadian site, and the cashing in procedure does not allow us to use our coins, and therefore we don’t use the cash in/cash out component. That is my only complaint.
Customer service has always been responsive and helpful to resolve any difficulties promptly. The value for the cost is excellent.
The website builder is so bad that I am looking for another alternative but the initial setup fee was so high it really does sting to switch to another provider (maybe that was the point).
Overall, the experience has been very good. Implementation was easy and the support was excellent.
We were disappointed it was not available when we switched to Rain, since we used that feature daily with AIMsi.
M very happy overall and customer service/support are very good - the tech folks are knowledgeable, patient and kind.
It was a rough year and a half trying to operate a business with that many mistakes from their side.
Carolyn I.: Hi, my name is Carolyn. I'm the president of a music school. I'd like to give Rain POS a five out of five. For more reviews like this, click below. Before using Rain POS, I used QuickBooks POS, which we used for about six or seven years. I found that it took too much memory and it was syncing with our QuickBooks Database and it got way too expensive. I chose Rain POS because they were a startup company at the time, and they were marketing a software that both provided for POS, on a remote for a remote customer, as well as in-person customer, as well as a website. I liked that they had that dual interface for remote customers and in-person. But what I came to find out was that being able to control our own website in a very user-friendly way was one of the biggest assets for us. Getting onboarded with Rain POS wasn't completely easy. I think it took some time to get used to, but once we started working on it and getting used to the system and calling the customer support many, many times, I think we got into a place where we were all comfortable using the system. So it wasn't easy, but it paid off. In the end, we were able to really benefit from the system. I would tell someone to give Rain a try. Keep your old software going in case it doesn't work, but I think you'll find it to be a very good option. So give it a try.
