Small and mid-sized businesses looking to find and keep employees, offer cost-effective employee benefits, keep up with employment regulations, grow, and more.
Namely provides technology, people, and services to small to mid-sized businesses (50-250 employees) through end-to-end HCM solutions including HR, benefits, and payroll.
I love the ease of ADP TotalSource, the confidence I have that I will always be informed of new laws and regulations, and the reporting capabilities.
The technology is something you would see in the 90's. The UI is extremely difficult to navigate, links disappear, and the employees absolutely hate it.
I have always found their customer service to be very helpful. I like the convenience of being able to log on anytimw anywhere to keep track of all my important payroll and benefits information.
Worst thing is when we forget the password, saving password process is complicated and confusing.
There is so much information, that you can just navigate around a stumble across great information that is so useful in planning and helping employees.
Service: My sales representative "forgot" to cancel our previous RUN service when she moved us over to TotalSource.
From being able to print off past statements, to being able to view current and past benefits this is an amazing program. The customer service has always been amazing to work with.
To my understanding, my company stopped using it because it was costing it too much money. We decided to go with another software called BambooHR.
Everything from PTO to benefits to performance reviews is on here, and all of it is super easy to use. I've never used it from an HR team perspective, but as a user it's really great and easy to use.
Hold times for client services are crazy. I guess b/c the company is in financial trouble the staff is bare.
Easy to use, customizable and excellent platform to design is one of the things we like most, good tools for group performance.
Customer service will forget about you and I hate that you do not have a dedicated rep, even at a large size, but simply a main support email. Waste of money if you have more than 10 employees.
Namely HRIS is a fantastic program, layout, very easy to use. The integration process was great and our implementation manager for Namely HRIS was fantastic.
We had signed up previously but then ended up with another broker as many errors occurred in our benefits management and lack of commutation with our broker.
It's a clean product, with great customer service and super helpful demos. The hard work during implementation was well worth the value we already see in the product.
Some of the locations for things seem a bit odd.
Brandon M.: Hi, my name's Brandon. I am president at Visual Language Professionals. Rating for ADP TotalSource would be a one out of five. Prior to ADP TotalSource, we initially started off on QuickBooks Online, and then we transitioned to Gusto for our payroll and benefits and eventually ended up with ADP. ADP offered better pricing on health, and dental, and vision insurance. And initially, during the sales process, we were promised better technology. It was painful. I think at that time, ADP was undergoing some internal changes on how they brought new clients on board, so we had to sign a lot of the same documents three, four, or five times while they figured out their electronic signature software. We went through several different project managers, and it took about double the length of time that they had initially quoted us. I would say that ADP TotalSource is not a good fit for small businesses that don't have a lot of resources dedicated to troubleshooting the software. If you're looking for a solution that provides quick and responsive support, they would not be my recommendation. I think there are better companies out there that provide stronger service for small businesses like mine.
Josh P.: Hi, I'm Josh. I'm the CPO for an electrical wire harness manufacturer. I give Namely a two out of five on the review. Primarily, their customer service experience was really low and lacking for us, and their product hadn't innovated in quite a while. When we started, it was fairly innovative, fairly good customer service experience. Towards the end of our few years with them, it just continued to downgrade. Yeah. We considered Paycor and Paycom, primarily. We also, before Namely, we used an internal product just out of our manufacturing system to run our payroll. Yeah. I think at the time we liked the innovation curve and the value proposition they gave. The primary driver was just deeper automation, deeper connection with our team members. Sure. It was, I would say, an okay experience. It was fairly cumbersome, but on par with other systems we've utilized. I think our hope would have been for maybe a little more interactivity in the onboarding process. Yeah. I think if you're going to head down that path, I'd be really clear on what they're going to invest in that product in the long term. From our experience, it seemed like a really legacy platform they weren't putting much funding into, and so I'd really get clarity there. And then just clarity on specifics of, can you get a person on the phone? How quickly are they going to call you back? And I'd try and get that in written detail before you move into working with them.
