Attorneys, paralegals, in-house legal teams requiring a simple, affordable, comprehensive solution for document review, production, trial preparation, and presentation.
CloudLex partners with plaintiff personal injury law firms and provides them with the cutting-edge technology, actionable insights and expertise to build, manage and grow their practice.
Nextpoints overall quality is amazing, it's user friendly and the customer support is helpful also. I would totally recommend this product for the professional environment.
Having to redact a 40 page document, page by page, to be able to produce the attachment to the email is ridiculous.
The customer service has been great and having a dedicated customer support person to field any issues is a nice touch.
It is entirely ineffective as a production tool. We typically export documents that need to be produced and import them into another tool to generate our production.
I most appreciate the simple way a non-tech person like myself can execute comprehensive, extensive document reviews, and effectively make document productions.
When you click on a document the pdf can take a long time to load and then take extra time to load between pages which can become frustrating.
The pricing structure of Nextpoint simplifies ediscovery and is a tremendous value. Nextpoint's customer service is outstanding and the software is continually improving based on user feedback.
It can be difficult to use and does not have a lot of the same features as the review.
We have been using the system about 4 months and are happy with the decision to switch. Having our case information and documents in the cloud is great.
The software is strongly geared to personal injury firms. Not as intuitive for our workers’ compensation cases.
Cloudlex: great software, amazing customer service, best case management platform hands down.
At first some features were limited. I had access to more features with the other programs.
I have reviewed many options for cloud based PI software, and I strongly believe that Cloudlex is the best option out there. Great support team, easy to set up, and affordable.
The objective, of course, would be to avoid dual entry of case expenses in both Quickbooks (for example) and Cloudlex.
The customer care has been really good and they are very responsive to our inquiries.
As you can imagine, switching presented challenged for all, especially since we've all been doing it a particular way for all of our careers.
Darren B.: I'm Darren. I'm a litigation attorney in Houston, Texas, and I give NextPoint a five out of five. Ultimately, before choosing NextPoint, I looked at a variety of other eDiscovery programs. The two that stand out to me are Logikcull and Relativity. Ultimately the problem with both of those programs and the others I looked at are that they charge a per gigabyte hosting fee, which can add up very, very quickly. The reason we went with NextPoint is mainly because of its pricing plan, which differs from the other eDiscovery products out there. NextPoint charges a flat fee for unlimited gigabytes, which is really a great pricing model, especially for small firms that might deal with large volumes of eDiscovery, like we do. The other thing I really like about NextPoint is it's ease of use. Some programs like Relativity can be a bit complicated for a small firm without a dedicated eDiscovery staff to use. NextPoint is very user-friendly and has a bit of a learning curve, but it's very easy for an attorney in a small firm to implement himself without relying on any eDiscovery staff. Onboarding with NextPoint was actually pretty simple. They have a dedicated customer service staff that get you up to speed on the features of the program. One of the things that is very nice about NextPoint too, is that aside from its live support staff, they do have a very comprehensive help desk that is self-serve so you can find helpful articles and videos and webinars to walk you through every step that you need to do to use NextPoint. The only bit of learning curve there was, was importing ranged import, load files or productions, which can be a little complicated at first, but after you do a few, especially with NextPoint's online help guide, it's really not that bad. And that's about it. Ultimately, for those that are thinking about eDiscovery programs, I would recommend thinking mainly about how much you're going to use that program and what size of productions you're going to be dealing with in your firm, because some programs might make more sense than others simply because of the pricing program. The end of the day, most eDiscovery programs have the same features. They're mostly uniform in that, and where they differ is one, in the pricing, and two, in the ease of use for a regular attorney, not a dedicated eDiscovery staff. If you're going to be using the program mostly for trial prep and not for large-scale document production, then it might make more sense to go with another program that uses a per gigabyte hosting fee. But if you're going to be like me and using a program to manage large discovery projects, then I think absolutely, NextPoint is the program to choose. And also if you're like me, where you work in a very small firm, you have no dedicated eDiscovery staff, then I would certainly recommend NextPoint from the point of view that it is very, very simple, comparatively speaking, to implement within a small firm.
